There is a Legend. The story of the Ten Cores: Time and Space, the first of the two elements to exist. After the sun came, creating many other planets. This event brought along many more Cores: Fire, Life, and Death. As planets evolved, more Cores appeared, Water, Ice, Nature, Air, and then Earth. Each of these Cores kept their respective 'elements', so to speak, in balance. Without them, nothing would be able to exist. In order to keep themselves in check, the Cores formed small gems to give them physical form.
However, long ago, the Core's spiritual forms sealed a beast, one that could destroy them now that they have grown used to not fighting. And that beast is free....
---------A Strange Cave------------
A cave, sealed up by a seemingly unmovable boulder, had a strange purple glow illumining it's walls. The source appeared to be some sort of purple flame with locks around it. Suddenly, the locks dispersed, and the eyes of the flame opened for the first time in 1000s of years. It yawned.
"...….Well, well. It appears I am awake. And they claimed the seal would never break. Clearly they underestimated me." The flame said. "But now, I must get back to what I was trying to-argh!" They began to move, but it seemed as though they could barely move without pain. It roared in frustration. "WHAT!? I HAVE BEEN SEALED FOR SO LONG THAT MY POWER IS GONE!? BULL-CRAP!" It roared again. Little did it realise, that many monsters around Earth had been entranced by the roar, as if hypnotised by it. They slowly wandered to the cave of the beast, somehow passing the boulder without moving it. They stood in front of the flame, much to the flame's surprise. Then they bowed.
"Lord Selensa has reawaken. Our lives have found meaning once more." They all chanted. Aside from a few, who all stayed silent and kept bowing. 'Selensa' smirked.
"Just what I needed...." He muttered.
---------1 year later-----------
Selensa awoke in his cave, which was now reformed to be a base for Selensa, that day, brimming with energy. His current army was giving him power to get to nearly as powerful as he was originally. Naturally, he decided to summon his 5 generals, Kagewazo, Impus, Mukar, Momon, and Leporem. He roared, the roar echoing through the caves, it was on a frequency that only Selensa and his General's could hear or understand.
----Meanwhile, in Greenoak City----
The large city of Greenoak was seen as a city of strength, even with it's vast criminal underbelly. However, in a bar, unknown to the people, destiny and fate would cause a group of people with legendary destinies to meet at that very bar.
The first of these was a Mercenary named Tia Virtue, who sat on a seat, drinking beer whilst waiting for her partner in her work to return from a job he left to do...3 days beforehand. The job had been an escort between two towns a days distance away from one another, so Tia wasn't too worried, but at the same time, she was still worried. She had seen several scenes in her nightmares of her partner getting ripped to shreds, hung, turned into a monster, and may more horrible fates. All instigated by a strange purple monster Tia had never seen in any book or anything, really.
