He was right, this was fun. Chadwyck smiled at the wonderful chaos Stel's bats had delivered among the group, it was all in good fun. Sort of. Sure, Stel was out to get Brendan, but to be fair, the boy had been asking for it. The fusion of Secad and her gerbil was slightly unnerving, Chadwyck hadn't been around Secad enough for this form to seem normal to him. But the Casey/Reynald character with the wonderfully colored eyes intrigued him. Mostly due to his skill with magic.
A fight had broken out, the group was trying to keep the bats away from Brendan, all except for Tangrow, who didn't seem to know what the -eff- was going on. Before long, Stel appeared as a hologram. The threat was very real, Chadwyck knew this before it was confirmed by the voice in the wind. "I told the lot of you," Chadwyck said from his place by the tree, "You don't mess with Stel's constructs, they're only after the wolf boy, let Stel scare him a bit," Chadwyck stretched as he watched the struggle, "A little fear is a good teacher. I guarantee he'll never do it again after this."
The bats formed together, Chadwyck took his cue to exit while the others were focused on the giga-bat that carried away Brendan. At least the skreeing stopped, though it did add to the effect nicely. He thought as he approached the tower, he met little resistance as he passed through the doors and ascended to the highest floor, Stel's control room. Chadwyck walked into the room confidently, staying back near the door to leave Stel his room to work. "Stel," He nodded in greeting, "Gotta say, love the bats." He scratched his head for a brief second, "No hard feelings about the one I took out, right? It did attack me first."
Chadwyck leaned against the back wall, the monitors were fascinating, it was as if Stel had eyes all over the grounds. "Well, I suppose I'll cut to the chase. That Brendan," He said nodding toward one of the monitors, "He got what was coming to him, but the others will undoubtedly want to get him back." A smile sprawled across his face, revealing his wicked grin that was accented by his naturally long canine teeth, "I want to help you. Honestly, I'm up for a little bit of fun, and a bit of a challenge. What better way to get both than by playing the villain?" He stood straight again removing himself from his relaxed pose against the wall, "Every game needs a few obstacles, right? Just think of me as a boss in a video game, I'll slow them down... I'll show them fear. I ask for nothing in exchange, except maybe something that might prove useful, anything you see fit is perfectly fine."
Chadwyck flashed another wicked grin, "Well, Stel, what do you say?" He extended his hand as if awaiting a handshake, all he needed was for Stel to accept the deal.
