Open HALO: A SPARTANS STORY (contains violence)

Caleb heard the conversation, and decided to butt in. "Theta's right. Remember, she was in her previous condition because she kept fighting, and didn't alert anyone to her injuries." He said, glancing at Meadow. "Now, you heard Dillon and Zak's message, right? We need to get up to the roof in ten." He said, pumping his Shotgun. "However, I'm going to go look for Angel. I don't like leaving teammates behind."

Upon hearing this "Zak's" orders to meet up with more humans on the top of the Complex, Dekan figured it was a good idea for his men to follow. As he walked back into the main area of the Safe Zone, he heard Caleb's words. "I will go with you, Demon." He offered. "An Ultra of ours is also missing. I don't like to leave men behind, either." He said. The Spartan nodded and walked out, Shotgun in hands, with Dekan following, one Plasma Rifle in his left hand, and his Energy Sword in his right.

On his way out, Dekan gave an order to the other Covenant members. "Brothers! Mgalekgolo, Unggoy, Kig-Yar, Jiralhanae, and Sangheili alike! The humans have reinforcements coming with the intention of clearing the Complex! You are to follow them and provide assistance!" He shouted, before turning to follow Caleb, to see him give the Sangheili Zealot a nod of approval.

Dillon made his way to the others and when he got back to the safe-zone he found his team so he walked up to them "Start rounding people up and get them to the roof" he said with assurance. He looked around seeing Meadow "Hey Meadow, thanks if you didn't help me I probably would've died there if you didn't see me" he added truly meaning what he said. He begun walking away from them so he could begin escorting people to the roof "Alright everyone you will be escorted to the roof in groups of 6" and with that he started leading the first group to the roof.

Meadow nodded to both of them, her rib cage starting to her with the effort of talking, intaking air causing her lungs to hurt. She started helping people get into groups. She and theta directed people and helped calm other down, theta switching back to his friendly childlike mood that seemed to calm people down.

Zak ran around the base
he sighted an elite
"hey hello could you plant this C4 around the base" Zak asked holding out C4
the elite grunted and took it nodding.
the elite ran off
Zak placed C4 down around and went to the roof
He saw meadow limp
"hey you can use me for support"

"I'm fine, sir. I can walk by myself," Meadow rasped and theta warned her to be careful on her voice. She nodded to the Ai and her captain up didn't say anything else. She helped out a panicking engineer calm down and helped pack supplies that might be needed. Her armour was still dented and scratched but would server its purpose for now.

Dydo gently placed Angel back onto her own feet, if it was only to allow her to sit. The elite sat a little ways off from her, examining his weapons. "These are low on energy, use them sparingly." and two Plasma Repeaters were tossed in her direction, which the skilled Spartan caught. She strapped them to her thighs and removed her helmet, fiddling with her COM unit. Still, nothing but static.

"We'll be safe here, even if we might have slim chances of rescue, the entrance is sealed most heavily by debris." Dydo continued curtly. "I don't think my brethren will have high chances of tracking me here, and as I am aware, your own systems of communication are damaged."

Angel remained silent, placing her helmet next to her. "What the hell happened?" "Shortly after you sustained that wound to your neck, the Flood infected this planet." "Shit" Angel hissed.

Dydo continued silently, which Angel was thankful for, "I believed you were dead, until you stirred. Instead of disposing of the body so the Flood would not infect your body, I took you to this nearby cave, the crashed sealed off the entrance. I brought us deeper, and took what time I was sure I had to make sure the wound was treated."

Surprisingly, the elite removed his helmet, revealing closed mandibles moving like a human jaw. His head and neck look more lithe and elegant that the normal elites, missing the bulging muscles, and his crimson eyes were relaxed. They glinted with something unrecognizable, "I found the emergency medical kit in your bullet proof case most clever."

"Yea, in this line of work you kinda have to be prepared for stuff." Angel replied, somewhat awkwardly. How else were you supposed to reply to your enemy, who apparently became an ally? She wasn't sure, but his species was honor bound, so maybe the only reason he hadn't killed her was due to the fact she was injured and had no weapons?

(i changed the rules cursing permitted cause its Halo)
Zak shrugged and looked at everyone
"wheres Angel?" Zak asked
He looked down and saw two machetes. The tips were red like blood but it wasn't blood.
Zak bent down to pick them up. They were light but sharp enough to kill a spartan.
He saw the Elite who he had given the C4 too and saluted.

Dekan followed Caleb as they made their way to where Angel's last known coordinates were. "Angel! Can you hear me?" He shouted, Shotgun at the ready. Instead of shouting, Dekan tried his com. "Dydo, this is Dekan 'Kalim. Do you read me, Dydo? I am searching for you, with one of the Demons. If you hear me, respond immediately." He ordered through his com. He sighed, looking around to make sure none of the Parasite were trying to sneak up on them.

Dydo gave a start, which cause Angel to jump and fall off the rock where she was busy resting. Dydo scrambled for his helmet, slipping it on. Angel her him garble into his coms, but very quickly she noticed how he grew frustrated and yanked the helmet back off. "It seems that we are too far underground for our coms to be working properly." He growled, clicking his mandibles in annoyance. Angel huffed, "Fantastic."

Both warriors slipped their helmets back on, and Dydo led the way further into the massive tunnels. "What made you decide to come all the way here and kick our asses," Angel spoke up after a few minutes, in attempt to strike up conversation in the tense silence. Dydo didn't reply for a little, but he finally spoke as they entered another tunnel, "My brother was assassinated. Dishonorable, and the moment news reached me I was angry. I chose to join with the Covenant to avenge his death." Angel paused for a little bit, taking in the information. Damn, it sucked not knowing anything about Sanghellios.

"Were you close, with your brother?" "Closer than most. Lydo and I were twins." Dydo replied. Suddenly, there was a sealed metal door. They both glanced at each other, before using their combined effort pried the door open. After resealing the entrance, they discovered that were in fact, in some sort of bunker. "Huh, wonder why this isn't in the maps..." Angel murmured, finding the lights.

As the lights buzzed to life, it revealed the dusty bunker had indeed, been forgotten, but it was still full of the essentials. There were two entrances, the one they came through, and another, but it was sealed tightly shut and barricaded. Dydo hissed as he came across a body, mostly rotted away but still had bits and pieces left.

Angel managed to find a better equipped medical station, and set to work, using a mirror to properly treat the wound in her neck. "We should be fine here, hopefully the other entrance is accessible, and Flood proof." Dydo nodded, removing his helmet again, examining the rooms.

Zak went down the stairs.
"Everyone needed now we can come back for Angel with reinforcements Angel would understand that's an order on the Roof now Washington should arrive soon"
Zak said through the Com
He looked down the stairs and kept back as an enemy flood came charging at him.
He swung his machete burying one in the floods shoulder.
It shrieked and charged at him.
Zak threw his last blade burning it in the Floods head.
It fell to the ground motionless.
Zak bent down and took out the two machetes. They squelched and Zak cringed at all the gore

Meadow helped guide people up the roof and snagged a rifle from the ground. She ignored theta and shot, shoulder searing in pain at the recoil. She shot down flood and helped cover other Spartans. A doctor tried to pull her away from the fight but Meadow grabbed him by the front of his shirt and threw him back, "let me do this"!

Upon hearing Zak's order, Caleb sighed, and looked back at Dekan. "I suppose we should head back. We've almost searched the entire complex, anyways." He stated. Dekan nodded, and with that, they began to go back to the others. "We haven't heard from them. That could be good or bad. But we haven't seen their bodies amongst those of the Parasite either, so, I have hope." Dekan said, to which Caleb nodded in agreement.

Dydo finished his examination just as Angel finished dressing her painful wound. Dydo recounted what he found within the bunker, including some other useful information. "The plans for this bunker were in here, we are a few hundred feet underground, and the second entrance leads into another tunnel to the surface, sealed off by a vault door. Assuming it hasn't been opened or the Parasites destroy it, we are well removed. If my brethren choose to glass the planet, we will be safe." Angel looked at the supplies on one of the computers. "We'll last a few weeks, but we can probably extend it if we ration a little more. This place may have been built for entire units but if no one knows we're here those supplies will burn out quickly."

The elite nodded in agreement. He added one more piece of news, "The bunker sends out weak signals that jam other radio signals outside of this bunker. In short, we are invisible unless we make direct contact." "Brilliant," Angel muttered, pulling out a few wires from a communication unit and began fiddling with them.

Dydo watched in fascination for quite some time, watching Angel as she grunted or huffed in annoyance every once in a while. When she finally Aha'd in triumph, he moved to speak. "May I inquire what your final goal was in this?" "I'm rewiring this thing to send out morse code on my team's frequency. Even if they can't get us we can at least let them know we are alive and in a safe place. Discretely, of course, now is a bad time to learn the Flood know morse."

Dydo didn't know what the strange "morse code" was, but he figured it was a discrete way of sending messages, since to Angel the various clicks she made with a remote seemed to have meaning. Angel smirked at her accomplishment, Angel and Dydo, we are alive, off radar, did you miss us? Feeling satisfied knowing every team member who was listening to their com's would either hear or their AI's would hear, she hooked up a small hologram to receive any incoming messages in code, so there wouldn't be sound, and cleaned up the wire filled mess. "Now the waiting game." She sighed, leaning against the console directly across from Dydo, both relaxing for now.

Caleb and Dekan were on their way back to the roof of the complex as Caleb's com crackled to life, and he heard what sounded like Morse Code. Luckily, he knew Morse Code. As he translated it mentally, a smirk crosses his face. He had Omega return a message from the direction it came, at the same time tracing the signal so they could perhaps find it. Miss you? Hell naw, we thought you were dead. We were even gonna throw a party. Shame. I'm having Omega trace your message now.

He sent the message as they made it to the top of the complex. "Boss, we may have found Angel. I don't think she's in the complex. Dekan and I are taking a small team to find her." He stated.

Dydo glanced at the screen, incoming code sparking to life across it. "It appears your allies have received your message." He grunts looking back at the Spartan. Angel got up to read the message, smiling to herself. "They're trying to find us." She throws over her shoulder, earning a grunt in confirmation. One of the entrances is collapsed, the other is apparently sealed tighter than a sardine tin. Good luck. She sent the message before searching the ammo reserves inside the bunker. She was successful in finding more ammo for her shotgun and DMR. Handing one of the Plasma repeaters back to Dydo, she then held out and inviting hand towards the armory. "Feel free to use it. If we're found we'll be shooting our way back out and probably won't be able to return." Dydo huffed, before ducking under the doorway and into the weapons storage.

Caleb listened to the message, translating it mentally again. Steer clear of the sealed entrance. We'll blow it up. He sent back. "Dekan, grab four Hunters with three Elites. I'll bring three Marines with me. Grab whatever explosives you can. Detonation charges, grenades, rockets, anything." He ordered, before going to grab explosives and three marines. Omega was able to find the entrance Angel spoke of, and with that, they went to it. Each of the Marines carrying Rocket Launchers with them. Caleb walked up and set down the grenades of all the Sangheili and Humans in front first, then he placed the detonation charges.

Afterwards, he stepped back, as Dekan handed him a Rocket Launcher. The Humans aimed their rocket launchers at the door as the Mgalekgolo did the same with their fuel rod cannons. The Elites also took out their own Fuel Rods, and they all aimed them at the door. With one hand on the Launcher trigger and one on the button for the charges, Caleb gave the order. "Open fire!" Four rockets, and eight fuel rod blasts all went flying at the same time, and at the last possible second, Caleb pressed the button to blow the charges. They all created a huge explosion.

The lights flickered and dust fell from the ceiling, the rooms rattling around them. "I think they found us." Angel grunts, Dydo shot her a look that screamed No shit Sherlock. With a mega watt grin, Angel slipped her helmet back on, loading her arsenal of weapons, magnums on her thighs, several blades attached where they could fit, grenades, she managed to snag an assault rifle and it hung across her back with her DMR, and her trusted shotgun was loaded and ready in her hands. She looked over at Dydo, who was fiddling with the human weapons he had found. Once more, they waited in silence.

"By the way, you don't happen to have a last name do you?" "Rukomee" Dydo replied. "Got a family?" "A mate and a nearly hatched child, why do you ask?"

Angel shrugged, "Never had a family, I just have a last name that I can't trace really anywhere. Not allowed to let my parents know who I am and all that." "Does the Demon not have a first name?" Dydo snarked back, Angel raised an eyebrow at him, thank god for the helmet, because an Elite did not just sass her.

"My name is Angelica, thank you very much." She said as if she was reminding him. Dydo made a sound that almost seemed like a chuckle. Seriously, was Angel going delirious?

They launched another volley of rockets and fuel rod blasts at the door. Finally, it gave in, crashing down. "Let's go marines, move it!" Caleb shouted. "Move in brothers! I want the Mgalekgolo watching the entrance! Do not let the Parasite through!" Dekan ordered. The four Sangheili and four Humans moved in, weapons at the ready, until they found Dydo and Angel.

"Well, shit. Here I thought I was going crazy. You actually are alive! Guess that's a no on that party." He quipped, magnetizing his M90 to his back. He signaled for the marines to move out, which they did, and the three Elite minors did the same. "I will watch the entrance." Dekan said, turning and walking to the Mgalekgolo.

"We're not alive. We're zombies. Can't you see properly?" Angel snarked, walking out of the bunker door, but decided to stop suddenly, causing the Elite behind her to hit her back, jerking back his ducked head then hit to top of the door. Angel snickered as she was shoved past, that'll teach him to sass a teenager.

Turning to Caleb she let the smirk still on her face drip into her voice, "We shooting our way back out?"

"We got four Hunters on the entrance, so no, not today." He said, as he turned around, going back to his serious tone. "We're heading to the roof of the complex, we got reinforcements and evac birds inbound. Don't know what the Covenant is doing in terms of retreat, though." He stated as he reached the entrance where Dekan and the four Hunters were holding. Surprisingly, the immediate way out was devoid of Flood. "Alright, let's get to the complex roof, quick." Caleb ordered, as Dekan turned to face the Hunters. "I want one Mgalekgolo at each side of us. Do not let the Parasite reach us!" Dekan ordered, and the Hunters complied.

Dillon saw Washington's ship, which was not one he recognized even though it was produced by the UNSC, the ship was larger than a Pelican yet not big enough so it couldn't be a battleship. He began to designate a landing point for Wash to land in "Caleb hurry Washington is here so if you, Angel, or any of those Marines don't want to be left behind I suggest you hurry" he said over the radio hoping Caleb could here him. He motioned himself back to the plane which had landed "Washington good to see you again" Dillon happily stated as he took off his helmet to face the Spartans that were getting off the ship ready to shoot any.hostilies one of.them being Washington.

Meadow started still was at her post, helping cover retreating marines. Theta broke through her mental barrier and forced her to back off for a bit. He got curious about who Dillon was talking to so Meadow walked over to allow theta a better look, the Ai appeared by the other Spartan's head and waved to him, "Spartan Dillion? Who is this? They are not in the UNSC data banks".

Meadow soon stood behind Dillion, looking over his shoulder at Washington and his allies. Her arms were crossed and she tried to figure out who these people were, not saying anything in the meantime.

Skylar ran up to Meadow and she looked confused "um who are they " she smiled at her and she looked down
"and what are they doing" she asked her with a frown.

"Affirmative, Dillon." Caleb replied over the com. The trip was relatively short, since they had a decent amount of firepower with them. He hoped that Angel and the Ultra with her were following closely. He was too busy focusing on the Flood combat forms that started to converge on their position. As they finally made it to the Complex, the Hunters stayed behind to hold off the Flood while the others rushed to the roof.

Angel shot down Flood infected body after body as they made decent progress towards the destroyed compound. Angel straggled a little from the blood loss and her leg was beginning to protest. Thankfully, Dydo had her back, eventually using one arm to basically drag the Spartan to keep up with the group.

Zak got into the ship and armed the Gatling gun at the side.
Bullets sprayed everywhere.
Hitting flood and mowing them down.
He sighted Angel and told an Elite to use the Gatling gun.
It took it a minute to figure out how to use but did it eventually.
Zak ran down and started firing to protect an Elite and Angel.
A hunter who had been infected charged him.
It swung its fist and connected with Zak.
Zak flew backwards but stared at the gaping hole in his helmet.

(Rules changed cursing allowed cause it's halo and I will start a
Red vs blue RP so I will tell you when it's open)

Meadow shrugged not knowing what to say to Skylar though theta was still running checks. Meadow turned back to the fight, theta not complaining now that it seemed like the flood were everywhere. The red and white armour Spartan saw Zak go flying and shot at his attacker, trying to turn its attention away from him. Theta blared a warning and she was forced to roll forward, body crying out at the movement. A flood charged past her and she ran after it, tackling it then bashing its head in.

(OOC: Hunters and Drones/Buggers can't be affected by the Flood, Zak.)
BiC: Caleb helped the Ultra carry Angel to one of the Pelicans, and then boarded himself, Dekan following. "You there!" Dekan said, pointing at an Elite Minor. "Hand me a Type-51 Carbine." He ordered, and the Elite complied, tossing him a Covenant Carbine. He aimed it where he could, and fired, taking down several Flood combat forms. Several Grunts ran by, following a group of marines, providing covering fire for others still making it to the complex. The Grunts were carrying Fuel Rod cannons, so they were rather helpful.

Meadow stood once she finished, grabbing her gun from the ground and started firing at other flood. A spite ran at her and she kicked it into the air before shooting it. Theta helped the best he could by adjusting her armour to support her broken bones. She hissed in pain when theta squeezed her injured shoulder a little to much, still disapproving of her being in the feild.

(OOC: Actually the Mgalekgolo is made up of many worms so the biomass itself can't get infected but the individual worms can and the hunter wouldn't work properly and fall apart)
BIC: Dillon turned to face his teammate who asked an important question to him but they moved away before anything could be answered. He shrugged it off but knew he had to answer so he turned on his radio starting answering "Okay Eclipse this is Washington the rest are parts of a team he works with but I have no idea who they are so" as he finished his sentence he began motioning people onto the ship and began answering questions that people asked.

"Why on earth are you helping us cause I am beginning to trust you more?" Zak asked
He tried desperately to remain conscious.
'That flood hits hard' he thought to himself

Meadow retreated more slowly then others, taking to delivering cover fire so others could get on before her. It was her job to do that, a brute took the hits and was their to protect their teammates. She finally made it on board still firing from the doorway before realizing that her gravity hammer wasn't with her anymore. She cursed under her breathe but knew she couldn't risk going back to get it. There was a chance that it wasn't even where she thought it was or it could have been buried under rubble.

(OOC: @DarkEmporer "Because they do not have a central nervous system, Lekgolo are one of the few species in the Covenant that cannot be assimilated by the Flood." - Halo Nation Wiki)
BiC: Caleb looked down, seeing a Gravity Hammer on the ground, recognizing it as Meadow's, on the roof, but a bit far away. He cursed under his breath. "Shit, I'm gonna regret this, aren't I?" He asked himself as he dropped his shotgun in the Pelican and demagnetized his SAW, shooting down Flood combat forms and spores as he made his way to the Gravity Hammer.

He elbowed an infected Marine away from him as he picked up the Gravity hammer in one hand, swinging it into the same infected marine, then magnetizing it on his back. He fired into the Flood combat forms as he made his way back to the Pelican. As he stepped on, he kicked an infected marine that tried to climb on down. "We got everyone?" He asked into his com.

"I'm here," Meadow replied as she got her ears scolded off by medics. She was forced to sit down though it didn't help much. Theta shook his holographic head, sighing like an embarrassed child, "Spartan Meadow will be off duty for a while after we have reached a safer location. Fire team eclipse will have to opperate without her until she is fully functional again".

"And without me, the difference is that I actually tried to stay out of combat but kept getting dragged back in!" Angel quipped at Theta. Her leg was resting out in front of her, and she lay the best she could on the seats on the pelican. Dydo shot her a look, "Your leg was injured while you were fighting?" Angel nodded at the elite, who made a quiet noise, turning away in thought.

"I didn't mean to insult you, Spartan Angelica. I am merely trying to make Spartan Meadow feel guilty for disobeying the doctors orders," Theta apologized to the other Spartan, not realizing that what he had said had offenders her. He then turned to Dydo, appearing infront of the Elite's face, "I don't believe we have met? My name is theta! It is nice to meet you, sangheili elite".

Dydo blinked in surprise at the glowing human in front of him. When he was silent for longer than what could be called hesitation, Angel rolled her eyes. "Theta is an AI, tends to be excited, and incredibly social. What he is trying to say is please introduce yourself I am curious." Dydo still seemed hesitant, but he got the message. Theta wouldn't leave without an answer.

"I am Dydo Rukomee. I believe you are companion to one of Angelica's sister in arms?"
