• A reminder: If you want to ask an RP thread creator if you can join their RP, do so in private - via conversation or profile messages - or via the thread's discussion thread, if one exists. Do NOT ask if you can join an RP on the RP thread itself! This leads to a lot of unnecessary OOC chatter and that's not what the RP boards are for.

This is clearly stated in our RP forum rules. If you've not read them yet, do so BEFORE posting anything in the RP forums. They may be found here (for Pokémon Role Play) or here (for General Role Play). Remember that the Global Rules of Pokécharms also apply in addition to these rule sets.
  • Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.

Heart and Soul

(This RP is a roleplay about some Pokemon trainers searching for five mysterious artifacts. This land has any Pokemon from any region, excluding mythological and legendary Pokemon for obvious reasons. However, please begin with a basic Pokemon that can evolve into its evolved form later on. You can have a maximum of four Pokemon. And please, original characters.)

A Chikarita dashed through the streets. Jumping high, Chika landed on an outcropping platform. She opened the window and dashed in, the daily newspaper coiled tightly in her leaf. She was greeted by a Chimchar and a Squirtle. The three Pokemon entered a room via a Poke-door made to fit them all. Inside, an Eevee was sleeping on a beige pillow while a kid with short blue hair typed at his computer. "What's new, guys?" he asked to his Poke-friends. Chika tossed him the newspaper, and he caught it. Pushing his wheely-chair back to the computer, he typed in some more. He was currently on a social media website called "Pokeluck". He was typing in a message. Sorry, Chika came back with the paper. So, tell me more about this "Light Scroll".

"Well I don't know much but I heard from a reliable source that this "light scroll" thing is ancient and powerful" typed Nick as he looked at his torchic, abra, swinub and eevee, he went back to the computer and typed "let's meet at the coffee shop near the gym, we can talk about this there if you want" and sat there waiting for an answer as his eevee jumped on his lap.

Got it. See you there. the boy typed, closing his laptop. "Looks like we're taking a trip to the Golden Karp." he said, whipping his purple baseball cap on his head. Putting on his acket, tightening his belt and returning his Pokemon to their Pokeballs, he headed out on his scooter.

"OK guys let's go!" Said Nick, putting on a jacket and retrieved his Pokemons into their pokeballs, he got out the house and onto his bike and headed to the golden karp.
As he got there he started looking around searching for the boy he's supposed to meet, "I wonder where he is?".

"Well my sources told me this scroll has some weird powers that affect pokemons and nature in different ways, he also told me that he has a bunch of notes with riddles that show us the way to other ancient stuff, but I told him I'm not buying it until I test the scroll first" answered Nick, he, he looked at the pokeballs he had and said "do you think this info could be real?" As he got the scroll out of his bag and showed it to the boy.

"There's a high chance that it's not... but the possibility of it functioning still exists." the boy said. "But I don't believe we've been introduced yet. My name is Wave of Gaia Town. I've been researching these items of mystic power for over a year now. This has been my first and only lead."

Meanwhile, in the Golden Carp, a young, fresh faced trainer was sipping on some tea. "Nothing like something warm after an intense day of training." He muttered to himself. His own pokemon, an Abra, was next to him. His Timbur was outside, mainly because it refused to do anything but train unless it was breakfast or supper. His Vanillite was in it's poke-ball, as it's sonwy covering would melt at the current temperature. Zeng stood up, but was too busy thinking about other things, so he nearly rammed into Wave. "Pardon me!" He exclaimed, jumping back in the nick of time.

"I'm Nick, from aiser town on the other side of the forest" said Nick as someone accidentally bumped into wave, "I've been told that when this scroll is opened, any Pokemon in it's range that evolves into an electric type reaches it's final evolution as well as boosting it's powers thousands of times, I've also been told that if it's night the scroll turns it to day, everything goes back to normal when the scroll is closed" said Nick looking at the scroll again.

"Well I think it might work, if it does could you imagine what powers we can get with the other relics?" He asked as he looked at his eevee which is now out of the pokeball for it's daily walk, "how about we test it?" Asked Nick again as he got up and looked in the direction of the forest.

"Let's go, then." Wave said, tightening his cap. Getting out of his chair and releasing his Pokemon, he hopped onto his scooter and began to ride in the direction of the forest.

At the forest Nick and wave looked at the scroll, the sun was setting and it was getting dark, "OK then, I hope you are ready" said Nick as he looked at his eevee, he counted to 3 and opened the scroll, nothing happened, "I guess it was fake....wait what's happening!" Eevee suddenly was evolving into a jolteon, it looked strong, he also noticed that it suddenly became day, "wow! It does work!" As he closed the scroll jolteon turned back into eevee and it suddenly became night.

"This... this is amazing!" Wave said, excited. "This scroll holds immense power. Great potential! This is my first lead! But wait... it's a scroll. Shouldn't there be something inside? I'd like to take a look." Wave was fidgeting with something in his hand, pressing buttons.
