Parasect fainted and Hunter started to run. Patrick pushed Hunter into the wall. "Get the police!" Patrick shouted.

The council members laughed. "What is he doing?"
"What a coward!"

Within minutes the police showed up and arrested hunter.
Drew gave the police all the information he had on what happened. He proceeded to walk back to the stadium.

"Well I'll take that as a yes then.", the masquerader states as the others laughed. "Tell me, what are your goals and what are you willing to risk to get it? We have had too many failures at our attempts to reach our goal that it's getting ridiculous. But, Darius must see something in that boy that is causing him to use our valuable resources to capture the boy. I say we give him a chance to capture the boy.", the masquerader stated, then looked around to make sure they were listening.

"Darius will either capture the boy or fail. If he fails, his time with us will be over. But you may be wondering, we just want to usurp Darius' position in the council even if he gets the boy. If he captures the boy, we'll be the ones to have him, not Darius. You see, we have the advantage. We know what his plans are, but he doesn't know what we are plotting.", the masquerader said.

"Now tell me, do any of you see a problem?", he asked.

The Council of Elements were silent in front of the single Masquerader. Then, Darius's face appeared on the giant screen in front of them.
"Where have you been?" One of the Masqueraders said.
"I hear news that the Hunter plan failed."
"What exactly do you tend to do with this boy?"
There were loud arguments taking place in the conference room, then Darius finally spoke.
"Silence!" He roared. "First of all, the plan failed. Hunter is being questioned by the police. They know I sent him."
"Why is this boy important, tell us the facts?!"
"Because, this boy is Patrick Lowe. He is the one Gideon could not defeat. It is not so easy to explain. Many years ago, I had a son. His genes were experimented with the radiation Gideon was experimenting with. He doesn't know it yet, but that boy was Patrick. Naturally he is a skilled pokemon battler therefore. Hidden within him is a part of me...."

"So you are saying that boy is your son. Tell me, what are you planning to use the boy for. After all, you owe us an explanation for all the other failures you have caused.", stated the masquerader.

"Interesting." Mcneal said. as he looked at the man. " this is youre only chance at redemption Darius. If you kill anymore civilians under our name. I won't protect you anymore." McNeal looked at the other council members. " Onto other news. I've been getting reports that the Red Scarf foundation is returning. We has to extinguish this fire like we did thirteen years ago."

"I have an idea on how to deal with the foundation.", stated the masquerader. "It's honestly kind of funny how the children of the leaders of the foundation and the council both are taking part in the tournament. Anyways, if you haven't been informed yet, we have reason to believe that the winner of the Johto League Tournament is the son of Emile Cortez, the leader of the Red Scarf Foundation. I have personally dealt with the child and Cortez recently, but failed to deal with them. My apologies.", stated the masquerader.

"Hahahaha! I love a good fire joke!" The Mask of Flames burst out laughing.
"Silence!" Cried Darius. "Many years ago, my ex-wife was the leader of this organisation." Darius said "I was in love with her and we married easily. But then she died-the police force killed her in a raid accidently. I was devastated. Then, she left a note. On this note, it said that I could continue the leadership of this group, as you know. However, there was an extra message on the back I didn't notice until recently. This message said that there was a secret bunker, containing a powerful weapon. That bunker can only be opened with the touch of my ex-wife or our baby but stupidly, my ex-wife told me in person to seperate the baby to as far as possible, so I took him to the Sevii islands, which I would later use my puppet, Gideon to spy over him. I believe that baby is Patrick, although he has a slight different accent and look, as well as name."

"So we need your son to activate this weapon then. If this weapon is as powerful as you say it is... then we must capture the boy. But we will also have to deal with the Red Scarf Foundation as they will most likely try to step in. Here, I have information on one of their agents.", he said he opened a projection.

"Meet Drew Leuric. He was seen aiding your son in the capture of Hunter. He is one of the newest agents of the foundation and may be considered a threat. I also have reason to believe that he has been in contact with Cortez recently. If we are able to capture him, we will be able to get the information about Cortez's whereabouts and any other plans they may have. It won't be an easy task, so I have prepared videos and other information detailing all members of his team and his own skill sets. If we're going to have any chance of successfully capturing him, you must the information I have presented to your advantage.", stated the masquerader.

The projection showed different clips of Drew's previous battles with his Pokemon. "I also have a presentation on three others in their group including Patrick.", the masquerader said looking at the other council members.

The Council gazed at the videos. Darius smiled. "Excellent work...you, what is your name?" He asked the Masquerader. "I haven't seen you before...prehaps you could take over from me when I am gone..."

"My name is Callum sir.", the masquerader said responding to Darius. "I am pleased that you have achknowledged my work and ideas to make our goals a reality.", Callum stated.

Kiri walked down to the training lounge, the trainers around obviously wanted to say something bad about him and his Pichu but knew they couldn't really say anything since he's moved on, the number of trainers decreased tremoundely from the tournament widdiling other people out

When Riley saw Kiri come back to the trainer lounge, he went up to him in excitement. "Dude, that was the most entertaining match I've seen so far here in the tournament. Great job!", Riley exclaimed, proud of Kiri for moving on.

Kiri grinned, almost and if he was saying Looking forward to our battle he then raised his fist for a fist bump, a thing that Kiri usually did as a way to assert their friendship, Kiri's Pichu hopped from his shoulder and onto his wristbwhere he lifted up his small hand wanting to be included in the fist bump

Riley grinned as well. He really wanted to face Kiri in battle to see how his team would match up against a worthy opponent. So without hesitation he returned the fist bump. "Now don't get too far ahead of yourself. There is still some ways to go till we get to the finals.", stated Riley.

Kiri and Pichu out their hand down and and Pichu leaped back onto his head, he anxious to see how one of his first serious battles with a friend would go "I'll make sure to get there so don't worry about me" Kiri then pointed to his chest "It was a promise right?" a lightbulb popped in Kiri'a head at the word promise "Right! I forgot I had to return the calls to mom back in Sinnoh" Kiri began to walk off and looked back "Hey Riley you want to come? My mom naturally loves meeting people i meet so she'll scold me if I dont tell her about you"

"Sure I guess. I have nothing else to do anyways and we wouldn't want your mom to get angry at you now.", Riley said before he followed behind Kiri.

KIri sighed as he walked to the Pokémon center built in the stadium and Pichu shook his head "You have no idea..." Kiri said almost like he's been tramitized

Kiri went to one of the camera booths, he booted it up and pressed a number the machine began to ring and Kiri looked back at him "Sorry in advance if she asks a lot of questions"

All of a sudden while Kiri was looking away the screen responded with a women in a white lab coat, with her dark brown hair braided in a neat ponytail down her back appeared, in somewhat of a lab with other fellow scientists walking around minding their own business "Honey it was so good of you to call! I was so worried you were going to have trouble meeting new battles but you and Pichu did nicely!"

The women then steered her brown eyes towards the taller boy next to Kiri "And who are you? Kiri did you finally make a new friend in Hoenn?"

When Patrick returned to stadium, some of the Trainers, including Jonas, gave him a look. Ella looked at Patrick as he returned. "I heard the news..." Ella said. But before they could talk again, Aston appeared for his double battle.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Riley.", he told Kiri's mother. "I was the winner of the Johto League Tournament.", he stated.

(Callum)
"It would be an honor sir, to hold your position until you return. I shall not let you down.", Callum told Darius in full confidence in himself.

Kiri's mother's eyes widen "Now that you mention it.." she leaned deeper into the screen and jolted up "I remember seeing you on television it's nice to meet you!" Kiri's mother then looked over at Kiri, she smiled as Pichu waved at her "You and Pichu seemed to have gotten stronger I can see it in your eyes! Your father would be so proud of you!"

Kiri's mother then looked at Riley "Thank you for making friends with my son" She said thankfully as Kiri felt like he was hit in the heart as his he abruptly looked down "Mom...." Kiri said as he sighed and looked back at his mother

Drew sat in his isolated Corner of the stadium and watched the battle. He couldn't help but think that he already saw Aston's battle earlier today. He shrugged it off as he watched the battle. his personal Phone started to ring
" Hello."
" Watch yourself." A voice said. It was obviously modulated " The council is onto you."

"Very well." Said Darius to Callum.

"Go Crobat and Sandslash!" Aston cried. Patrick and Ella were astonished to see he had a Johto and Kanto pokemon in his team.
A woman appeared and sent out a Mawile and a Chimecho were sent out.

"Thanks sir . Now what may you have me do while you're away? Capture your child or take down the Red Scarf Foundation?", Callum asked. "Also sir, I have a feeling that law enforcement will all have their eyes on you during your match. While they're focused on you, it would be a good time to enact our plan.", Callum stated and waited for Darius' response.

"Take down the pesky Red Scarf Foundation...they seem to have agents all around like us. During the tournament, I will make sure I get to the same stage as him in the tournament, whether that is we get randomly drawn in on one of the next rounds or even if he survives until the final. I must and will face him." Darius said, stubbornly. "Then I will tell him the truth."

 

[Yaspen]

Aspen went over to Kiri too. "Hey, good job! That was an awesome match!" She congratulated him. Chu was speaking Electric Type to Kiri's Pichu. Aspen looked over to it and chuckled. "Ever wish you knew what they were saying? Not just Electric Types, any Pokemon."

"It was electrifying" Joe joked as he walked to Aspen and Kiri
"but seriously good job" he said, smiling "I can't wait to battle you"

Kiri's mother whom Kiri was calling from the Pokémon center looke dover at Aspen "Kiri is she another friend? Your making so many friends your father would be so proud"

Kiri looked at Aspen and smiled as he raised his fist for a fistbump
"Thanks Aspen, I'm hoping the same from your matches" Pichu's cheeks sparked as it was communicating with Chu

Kiri looked at Joe and raised his eyebrows "I haven't seen you in a while, how you been Joe?" Kiri said

Aston's Crobat and Sandslash had been battling for a while now, but they had the upper hand. Not many people were actually paying attention, for Aston had been criticised by the biased press as 'the bully.'
"Now Slash!" With one foul swoop, Sandslash dug it's claws into Mawile and the Mawile fainted.
"Accrobatics!" Crobat flew into the sky then hit Chimeco. Chimeco fainted.
"Are you trying to go easy on me?" Aston asked. The woman he was facing ran away.
"Aston is through to the next round!" The announcer cried and Aston was booed.

"I wonder what would happen if I told Kiri's mom he had a girlfriend.", he wondered. Then he smirked as he got ready to pull the prank. "Hey Kiri, aren't you going to tell your mom that you and Aspen are going out.", he said trying to hold back his laughter.

(Callum)
A message popped up on the gadget on his wrist. "Sir, Aston has succeeded in moving on. Your match is next, so you should get ready. I will accompany you to the stadium and watch your back as well as study the agent that Cortez has.", Callum stated.

"Good. Meet me outside the stadium. I'll be waiting for you in a suit and a hat. Darius out." The screen closed and Darius disappeared. He walked down the street to where the stadium was. He saw some police officers and took a shortcut through a small passage. "Dammit." He cursed, under his breath. He took a brown coat and hat and placed them on himself. He stood between a dark alleyway and the enterence to the stadium and walked closer and closer. "Come on Callum!" Darius exclaimed.

"Sorry sir!", exclaimed Callum as he ran up behind Darius with his mask still on. "It seems I was right. They're on to you.", he said as saw the police lights.

Kiri was caught off guard as he shivered Riley you have no idea what you just did! Kiri shivered as he didn't even want to turn around and face his mother he just gave a comedic glare towards Riley

Kiri's mother gasped as he tried to contain her excitement, at the sentence being heard another man in a lab coat and a young girl in her early 20's also in a lab coat butted into the view of the camera

"Whaaaaa? Your already that old?" The young woman said as the man's eyes widened "So you finally used what I taught you huh kid" He said in an approving voice

Riley could barely contain his laughter as he saw Kiri's expression and his mom's reaction. "I'm done!", he thought himself as he heard two other voices. The prank couldn't have gone any better. "Is that his dad?", he thought as he saw the man.

Darius charged into the stadium "This way!" He shouted, pushing many people to the side. Then he dashed into the stadium and saw his opponent: Valentino.
"Valentino?!"
Ella, Jonas and Patrick all gasped in the crowd. Darius turned around and noticed Patrick.
"Darius!" Valentino roared.
"You're suppossed to be dead!" Darius screached. The crowd gasped.
Then Valentino took off his mask to revealed a face with a huge scar. Darius gave him a look. "I should have killed you..."
"You don't know the half of it!"
Looker was in the crowd. He was genuinely shocked when he found out who was in the battle.
Darius spotted Looker. "So...you got my note..."
All eyes were on Looker.

Callum was shocked when he saw Valentino and took a step back. "He's supposed to be dead! He was shot down by the police. I saw him die.", he exclaimed before realizing he was in a public area with his mask still on. "Good luck sir.", he mumbled under his breath before he went into the shadows. It was time for him to initiate his plan for the Red Scarf Foundation.

"Why are you here Darius?" Looker asked. "Why are you not in prison-give me one reason! Or i'll..."
"Because I know the truth...because the police are not who they say they are...because some of us here are working for additional motives..."

"The Red Scarf Foundation..."
"What?!" Looker shouted
"You don't know me...the truth is...is that...my son is in this audience..."
"Where is he?"
"I don't know...ask this boy...Patrick!" He cried.
"How...how...do you..." Patrick pulled a face and looked towards Ella and Looker. "What is this...about?!"
"You are Patrick Lowe are you not?" Valentino then asked.
"Yes..."
"Your parents?"
"Alan and Bridget Lowe...."
"You speak utter lies..." Valentino said. "Tell him..."

"Hahahahahaha! You would think I tell him now...."

"Go Walrein and Swallot!" Valentino yelled
"Go Metagross and Dusclops!" Darius shouted.

"Is it set?", Callum asked one of his agents. "Yes, the bomb is set here.", the agent stated. "Good, now get out of there and don't ever call this number again.", he said before hanging up.

When he came out of the room, his mask was off, revealing his black hair, green eyes, and a scar on his left cheek. He had his Alakazam out as well, so his target's Pokemon wouldn't be able to trace his intentions. When they arrived at an isolated corner in the stadium, he stood behind someone as the match between Darius and Valentino was beginning. Then he tapped on his shoulders to get his attention. "Excuse me, but would you happen to be Drew Leuric?"

Yannick sat on top of the hotelroof looking into the sky. "What do you want? I know that we are still in the second round so leave me alone!" He said without changing his line of sight. "I don't get it! You changed so much since you left Rhon. What is it that you want once you won? You know that it will be the end of your journey. By the way if you don't start resocializing now I will beat you down and drag you back home!" Dennis had climbed to the rooftop to confront Yannick. "Fine... I don't want to fight you so I will get down to the arena but don't expect me to talk with people. Besides for the time being I have no fun in battles so ending my journey is just fine with me and what is better than being the greatest of all to finish." Yannick replied he then walked to the edge of the roof and jumped over it. "HEY YOU IDIOT ONLY BECAUSE YOU HAVE THIS POWER DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN USE IT FOR EVERYTHING YOU LIKE!" Dennis shouted and took the stairs on the inside of the hotel to get down.

Kiri waved his hands frantically "Mom calm down she she's just a friend!" Pichu rubbed the back of his head knowing how Kiri is somewhat panicked from the smallest thing

Kiri then looked at the young man in the lab coat "I'm not anything like you Frank, at least not yet anyways thanks for the save" Kiri sarcastically said to the young man "You guys were just hiding until something happened weren't you?" Kiri asked

The young man grinned "I was actually helping Ms.Kelain with her work, I am still a lab assistan-" the young man looked at something out of the camera's frame and panicked "Hey Piplup! Don't touch those buttons!" Frank said as he ran to the place lit of frame as smoke could be seen leaking to the roof, the young women then left the frame as well shouting "Get the PokePuffs AGAIN"

Kiri'S mother was left on camera as she then nodded her head at the people on the other side "It's still pretty lively here, and thank you guys a lot for befriending my son"
