Callum walked up to the helicopter with his Alakazam by his side. The hurricane was near and the wind made it very hard to walk forward. "You think you can get us out before the hurricane hits?!", yelled Callum through the wind as he sat inside asking the pilot. "Yes! This helicopter is especially made for this type of weather yelled the pilot. Callum still had his mask on. "That fool Valentino, if he had listened to me, he wouldn't be in hell right now. I should be proud of myself for playing Cortez.", Callum said chuckling. The helicopter started to take off and Callum was prepared to make his escape.

Callum looked at Cortez's face. "I'm the one going free. If anything, you're going back to prison.", Callum exclaimed as he saw Cortez move his hand to click something on his wrist. "Wait, what are you doing?", asked Callum with a slightly worried tone.
Kiri and Pichu heard the blades of the helicopter up above, they could feel the gust of wind pouring down through the holes the Flygon made earlier. Kiri lifted his palm above his eyes as he held onto his hat "Oi, That helicopter..." Kiri stared up at the glimpse of the sky visible thanks to the various openings
Pichu leaped off of Kiri and climbed the stairs, which would lead to the top floor where the helicopter resided "Pi-Pi-Chu!" The Pichu shouted which probably could be heard from the helicopter

Drew heard a loud explosion. " What was that?" He wondered as he heard a loud explosion. He just shook it off as he looked at the destroyed city from the hospital roof. " I'm alone." Drew said. If anything this whole ordeal showed him just how alone he truly was. he remembered the old saying You were born alone and you will die alone. How much truth that saying actually held. everyone he ever cared for has abandoned him. His mother, Bethany, Poli. Just to name a few. Maybe it would be best if he just wasn't here anymore. He thought as he took a step of the ledge.

Riley looked up to see a distortion occur in front of him. Then Callum and Alakazam teleported into the room. "What, back already.", was all Riley could manage to say. "Your father's bitch, you know that.", Callum said. "Yeah, he actually is.", Riley said with a slight grin. Callum barely stood up. His clothes were ripped and he was bleeding as well. His mask was also broken as well. Riley could see Callum's left eye.

"Are you sure you would like to start the self destruction sequence?", the AI asked. Callum pulled out his phone and video called Cortez. "Now I'll show you what happens when you try to off me!", he exclaimed and turned the camera to Riley. "Say goodbye to your son because I'm going blow him straight to hell!", he exclaimed while lagging like a maniac.
"You see, it uses a lot of specific particles to create a machine like this. I've rigged it to cause the particles to fracture, which in English means everything will go boom. With the amount of the special particles we used, the explosion radius would be big enough to destroy the whole island! I hope you said your goodbyes Cortez, because you, along with this god forsaken island are all going to hell!", he exclaimed and then clicked the button to activate the self destruction sequence.

"Those fools!", Callum exclaimed as he looked at them frantically try to stop the self destruction. "You will need an army to stop me and the codes to get this room switched back! The only one I can think of with the knowledge to get the codes and switch the rooms in time is Looker. "Then to stop the self destruction sequence, you will have to stop it on this control panel right here since I manually input it from here!", he exclaimed as he realized Riley was still listening. "I talk to much don't I?", he asked. "I'm trapped here and can barely move, so don't worry about me.", stated Riley as he watched the others try to figure out how to stop it.
A second after both of Drew's left the roof a blue aura appeared around him. He was pulled back onto the roof. He looked and saw Tess looking at him. " Tess why...." Before he could finish his sentence Tess slapped him.
" Are you out of your mind!" She said. Drew looked at her in disbelief.

" I'm speaking to you via Telepathy dumbass." She said. " Still what where you thinking! You could of died."

"Do you know what it's like to be abandon by those who said they cared about you." Drew asked Tess. " My mom abandoned me for drugs, My dad died long before I could ever speak to him, My ex girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend, Even Poli who I thought would be with me through out my adventure left me for a politode. All my so called friends left me one by one, and then there's these people now. They're all going to leave me part of the reason why I keep to myself." Tess put her hand up to Drew's mouth telling him to be quite.
" You want to talk about abandonment." She said. "Every trainer who ever caught me released when I couldn't perform up to their standards." She said. " My last trainer abandoned me after I lost in the Johto League. I started to starve and lose faith in your kind until some unexpected trainer had ice cream with him. The way he shared his ice cream with me that day. He showed kindness to me that day. Kindness that no other trainer ever showed me. It made me relies that I wanted him to be my trainer." Tess started to cry. " So I forced the poor sap to capture me. But that's not all. When I lost my first battle with him I thought he would release me like the rest. But instead he embraced me and told me that both of us would become stronger together." She looked Drew in his eyes. " And I'll be damned if I let the man I care about end his own life. If he did that then I would go right after him. So too bad Drew your stuck with me until we both die." She said.
Drew pulled Tess into his arms for a hug.
"I'm sorry." He whispered.

The wall was cracked a fair bit, but not completely broken to rubble. "Keep hitting it 'till it shatters!" Aspen shouted. Chu proceeded to swing its tail into the wall twice more before there was an opening. Instantly, people rushed to see what had caused the gaping hole. Aspen reached for another pokeball.
Kiri took a deep breath, he saw the door and nodded at Joe as he heard a conversation occurring from the other side "O-Oi Joe do you hear that man?" Kiri asked and looked around as Pichu's electric sacks sparked with anticipation

Callum laughed as he got up wiping blood off his face. "Ah Cortez, you think you're so smart."

"We need someone to get in there and enter the codes to stop it or lower the blast radius to only the ocean."

Aspen ran down halls, Chu behind her smashing doors open. Gen was behind them, holding off the trainers and pokemon that were chasing them. Her legs started to ache, but she kept going with a determined look set on her face. I need to find out what's making this thing move and shut it down, she thought. I hope Kiri's alright.

Looker glanced around, confused at the events unfolding. Then he saw the self destruction sequence had been initiated. "Stop the detonation! We haven't arrested everyone! Some people aren't safe yet!" He said this, before being pushed by a Sableye. It was Darius. The Sableye pushed Looker into the sea. Patrick and Ella were hugging each other when they heard the signal. They too were confused.
"We need to get outta here!" Patrick shouted. He couldn't say anything a second later, as a Metagross came crashing down, sending them flying off of the machine. Another pokemon crashed in-a Salamence which insured a bunch of policemen and trainers went flying. Darius stood there and laughed.
The countdown was now on to 2 minutes and the walking building was learning on where the Gaia base had been.

It covers the entire island.", he exclaimed as he started to laugh uncontrollably. "And the only way to stop it is to deactivate it from here!", he exclaimed without noticing the mic was on and everyone in the building could hear him.
Riley tried to break free of Cortez's grip. "If you're not going to do anything, teleport me back.", exclaimed Riley as he fell to the ground. "I can still fight.", stated Riley as he put his hands underneath him to try and get up.

Jonas looked at the ruined mask in the water. "That mask...it was used to control me...thank you..." Jonas hugged Patrick and then Ella joined in. Jonnas's Wailord smiled. The walking building crumbled. With all the parts of the machine falling down into the water, members of the police force appeared to be drifting in the water. Looker got up onto the Wailord.
"Jonas was an Admin of the Masqueraders?" He asked
"Yep. He was controlled by their mechanical masks that Darius invented to control people..." Patrick said.
"I guess i'm not arresting him. Valentino and the other masqueraders on the other hand is and he is being taken to the tightest prison in Hoenn. Have you seen Darius? He is the only one missing."
Many miles away, in another region, Darius opened the door of a conference room. There was a large round wooden table with 18 chairs gathered around and one large royal like chair near the centre. 17 masked people entered the room, each with different coloured masks-with their own design. Darius took his position with his chaos black mask.
"As all of you know, the police, army and trainers have taken down the Nexus, one of our greatest weapons in Hoenn. Team Gaia have also been diminished in the area. Many of our minions and admins have been arrested and sent to prison. Some, have died. Let us remember those who have died. We must pay our respects to the Mask of Grass, who was one of our high council of the elements here. Now we are down to 17. Let us kill all traitors and remove all opposition."
This was being broadcast to all Masqueraders and they roared. The council smiled. The affairs of Hoenn had been finished. The Masqueraders would now focus on Sinnoh.

Kiri and Pichu ran for the tip of the roof, the one place where it wasn't completely submerged in water
Once Kiri reached the roof, the only option was jumping onto one of the shattered pieces of the ice road on the ocean which was now crumbling, Kiri despretly ran across the shattering ice road as it began to crack down like an avalanche. Callum looked down and saw his leg bleeding out as the water was rising in the room. "Cortez, I'll get you for this.", he exclaimed as he dove underwater. His mask allowed him to breath for a bit. His Hariyama came out and punched a hole through the window, breaking, allowing the water to go out. I guess it's just you and me Scizor.", he said as he managed to click on Scizor's pokeball allowing him to come out.

Drew walked the perimeter of the island. He wasn't expose to be out of the hospital but he couldn't stay there. He saw an injured boy with a scizor walking his way. He walked towards the boy. From this distance he couldn't make out the boys features. " Hey Kid need some help!" He yelled at the boy.
Riley looked forward when he heard the voice. "Drew, is that you?!", he yelled. "It's me, Riley!"
Kiri who saw Riley getting helped felt the urge to stop and run around, and began to run towards the injured Riley once again. Visible to Riley and Drew who only made himself look like a stranger most likely an enemy from the way he ran towards Rikey, Kiri shouted as he ran towards Riley in a volume only Riley could hear "Oi! Watch out the floor is unstable" Kiri said as his Pichu shouted "Pichu-Pichu!!"
"I'm walking on grass, how is the ground going to break?!", he exclaimed. "Yeah, some crazy masquerader took me hostage to get at Cortez. And worst of all, Cortez is my fucking father.", he exclaimed before he started coughing. "My ribs. Can you guys help me?", Riley asked in pain.

He said as he was somewhat exhausted and helping Riley out leaving not much room to converse as Pichu looked down at Kiri from his hat a bit worried
"You have my thanks Kiri. The name's Riley and I was the winner of the Johto League Tournament.", stated Riley as they carried him away as Scizor followed from behind protecting them from any potential danger. "And what do you mean about being Cortez's son explains a lot?!", Riley asked Drew.

That is what Patrick, Jonas and Ella heard when they were safely transported to the island. After an hour of searching for remaining amongst the rubble created by the destruction of the Nexus, Looker and the police concluded their search. Ella said goodbye to Looker, as he appeared on a jetty. He was off to the Sinnoh region, where he had a base set up. Patrick, Ella and Jonas saw that the storm had not fully died down. They walked towards the stadium. Jonas was telling Patrick his experience of being in the Masqueraders. "They took me to a dark room and there were two men....one of them was definately Darius...although I didn't know that at the time. The other...he looked sorta like that one guy in the police station ages ago that I saw from the machine Nexus thing...he was next to Looker..."
Next to the stadium, was a girl. She was short with brown hair but there were some parts that made her hair seem blonde, but she wasn't.

"Who is this?" Ella asked.
"Erm...this is someone i know, Neve." Patrick explained.
"Oh! For a second there I thought-"
"Hi I'm Jonas!" Jonas roared towards Neve. He already seemed to like her.

"Yeah there was trouble involving evil teams. We helped stop them though." Jonas had has hand to the wall and he was doing most of the talking.
"That sounds fun, unfortunately I only just arrived here. I too have been doing some travelling." Neve looked at Patrick.

"Stronger than since we last met..." She giggled.

Aspen was trapped under a desk, and her oxygen was running out. With a last push of energy, she pushed it one last time. The desk shifted, and Aspen was free! She saw Chu in a similar situation. Gen was nowhere to be found. Aspen suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to breathe, and she fought the spasm that gripped her lungs. She wasn't strong enough, though, and took a gulp of water. She put her hands to her throat, and everything went black as she lost consciousness.
Aspen woke with a start and spat water out. She hacked and coughed, more water flying out of her mouth with every cough. She felt spikes under her back and realized that she was on Aras's back. Gen rose out of the water; it was in Aras's shadow. Chu patted her back down. "Where... what...?" Aspen's mind was waterlogged too. She tried to recall what had happened, the last thing she remembered, she was on Aras's shell besides the ice bridge it had created to help her and Kiri get to the strange building. As she lay there, more things came into her memory. She was running down a long hallway, Chu busting doors open behind her. She remembered the building suddenly filling with water, and a desk falling onto her.

Hopefully I can recover before the tournament starts.", Riley said as he looked at Scizor. Scizor nodded in agreement. It looked rejuvenated and ready for action. "I hope you can wait Scizor.", Riley said with a small chuckle before feeling pain in his ribs. "That Hariyama sure didn't pull any punches. I'm pretty sure it broke some of my ribs.", Riley stated.
A face of depression hits Kiri as he kept walking holding onto Riley "That's right! I need to sign up..." Kiri's face drops in dissapointment "If the professor didn't sign me up when I left then I'm screwed"
Kiri said as they neared a hospital still intact taking the injured from previous attacks, Kiri looked down at his belt at his one Pokeball "That's right..I also need to get the other Pokemon Professor said he'd transfer"
