ooc| D; Holy jesuscaek. I went to a movie. A mooooovviiiiieeee. Two and a half hours.
And I think I'm nine or so posts behind x:
Snap's right, you guys do move fast.
Waiting.. Waiting.. Now- no, no, someone else had started calling out. Damn.
Not quite assertive enough. And his constant hesitation was etting disapproving looks from his cousin, who had started to watch him with mild amusement.
Just when he had found a window to speak-
"Caitlyn 'Belle' Lightner of Viridian City, Kanto."
..
Nerts.
"You're a wench, you know that?"
"Sorry, can't hear you over the names being called out."
It took another minute for him to manage to find an opening, and taking an extra precaution this time- and by precaution, that meant slapping a hand over Belle's mouth, he called his name out very clearly.
"Angel Cale Edinburgh of Lavender Town, Kanto."
Pulling the calloused hand from her mouth, the girl grinned at her relative.
"Way to call out your name, Ace. You champion."
...
...
Initials; truly a thing from hell. His parents thought themselves to be pretty clever like that, turning them into an acronym.
"Do you ever stop talking?"
She chose to disregard his comment and instead turn to face the girl that had just joined their small company and giving a grin as she tuned into the last bit of their conversation.
By following where- Kita, was it? Where Kita had pointed, she had taken note of the stranger's clear discomfort.
Having always been comfortable with strangers, she'd never seen a reason to be uncomfortable.
But the shorter silver-haired boy..
He looked familiar.
And that growlithe had been with him too, even though at this point she'd already returned and was looking for more attention. Something Belle was happy to provide; Growlithe fur, so soft..
But the boy.. Had he said his name was Reynald?
Because if he did.. It meant he was the same boy she had seen in Goldenrod not too long ago.
A smile tugged at her lips as she recalled the events leading up to it.
She'd have to ask him how his ribs were.
She was ignoring him again. Pah. That stubborn trait must have run in the family.
He took a moment to try and trace the lineage connecting them, and found his attention soon being stolen by the scene Kade's quilava had created.
He grinned, though he was sure the boy was none too pleased.
Poor guy.
...
Hm.
He'd actually followed through with his suggestion of fetching his eevee evolution friend.
Though, as the pokemon took form, it became a bit more clear that the friendship probably wasn't as mutual as he'd expected. Probably because what he expected was something with a personality resembling that of the quilava himself.
Still, the scene he had created was quite amusing in it's own- it was a shame the leafeon had missed it, as it may have wiped the grim look off his face.
Heh..
But, he managed an awkward smile at the newcomer, unsure of exactly how to approach him.
This fire type was fascinating. And the teddiursa, so adorable!
Oh..
She missed the days when there were more baby pokemon around.
Charme and Theseus had both evolved twice, Apollo- oh, he'd been such a sweet baby.. Though he was probably four times her height now. She'd never seen Noble when he was a dratini; he'd always played the role of a father to her.
And Kodent, well.
He didn't evolve anyway.
It was such a priviledge seeing the little bear, and she found herself at his side in no time and cooing happily.
Of course, the quilave had provided a much needed comic relief as well.
Hanging around all the final-stage evolutions as she did was often times.. Just too serious.
If she had been speaking her thoughts aloud she probably would have thanked Andante, but because she wasn't, she didn't. Instead, she flashed a grin at the pokemon, feeling more light-hearted than ever- or at least, since her last encounter with a group of this caliber.
