Zack took a minute to put together what Riley was saying, trying to figure out how to respond.
"Um, you don't have to worry about that, you aren't the reason I'm not 'pursuing' a relationship. Maybe I will in the future, when I'm more... stable, I guess. I've been working on it ever since the last tournament, but I'm still not comfortable with it. So uh, thanks for the apology," Zack said, starting to walk off. The conversation was getting a little to out of his comfort zone. He was a little weirded out by why Riley wanted him to continue trying to get in a relationship so much, but decided to push aside the topic and focus on getting ready for his battle. However before he got to the training fields, he had second thoughts. Well, I haven't hit the gym in awhile, I should probably do that before training my pokemon. They've been training non-stop the last few days. Zack decided, changing course to the gym. When he arrived, he was surprised to find the place empty.
"Well lucky me," Zack muttered, looking around the giant room. On one side of the room was the workout tools and mechanics, and on the other was an acrobatic area, with balance beams, swinging poles, and more.
"This is my heaven, in one building," Zack said, rushing over to the workout area. He did his usual routine around the machines, lifting weights, running, and practically every type of thing the gym had to offer. After quite a while of time, Zack decided to stop halfway, and work on the other side of the gym. He wanted to have energy left for that, so he made his way over and began working on some of his martial arts, meditation, and just for fun, a lot of flips, twists, and spins, just to show off. Even though no one was there.
