How did 6 people vote? The only people that actually post here are Jagson, Hotshot, Roan, Sky, and me... And if I counted correctly that equals five.
Dang, this is actually scary. I hope whoever breaks the tie chooses the right choice...

Welp, good thing player v player isn't anytime soon, so we don't have to worry to much
Someone want to post? I'm ready to start Riley's match in a few posts depending on what happens next.

Also I guess I should give a defense for RPing the battles
first of those who are not into completive battling will usually end up getting swept.
secondly while Retro spoke of hoenn look at the original Kanto league tournament the battle between Drew and Yannick was completely RPed it only took a total of three days to do and In my opinion was the best battle in the first League tournament series. on the flip side in Johto look at yannick and... some girl I made up. there was barley anything other than saying what the attack was. and that was all based on a showdown battle.

That was what I was trying to express, but I guess I didn't explain it very well. Also take a look at the Sinnoh league tournament, it was all RP'ed and they have fair, and really cool battles.
So all we have to do is when we do showdown, afterwards we write it in RP style. One of the good reasons about doing showdown is that we atleast know who's going to win. Then all we have to do is creatively write the battle. So just do both. Do showdown to determine the winner. Then afterwards, creative do the battle in RP format.
