Private/Closed Lily of the Valley Island Sinnoh League Tournament

If you haven't been invited to this Roleplay do not join if you have, then have fun :p
"Hello and welcome back to the Sinnoh League tournament in Lily of the Valley Island stadium where things are heating up in the Semi finals!" The commentator's voice would boom through the massive speakers in the main stadium, this blue one being twice the size of the other three red ones and currently being packed full of people. People that were creating plenty of noise through cheering and clapping, reacting to the commentator's voice that would once again blast through the speakers. "For those who need a quick recap, the victor of this match and the next will be going into the finals while the losers will compete for third before said finals. The semi final rounds will be a six against six battle where items and free switches allowed. Now with all the rules and facts out the way are you ready for a battle!" Once more the stadium would erupt into shouting and applauding until the commentator spoke once again. "In our first semi final match it will be Finion from Twinleaf town against Carah from Golden Rod city!" That was the signal for the two Trainers that had came this far in the tournament to walk onto the pitch and prepare for battle while the other two Trainers that were not battling could watch from front row v.i.p seats.

While the commentators voice boomed through the stadium Fin would be seated in the waiting area opposite the waiting area his opponent would be in, all the way on the other side of the pitch. He was nervously twiddling his thumbs and looking straight at the ground, his Pachirisu Sparky trying to reassure the trainer and give him confident as he nuzzled his cheek. Taking a deep breath he would flash a smile to the small electric Pokémon and then lean back, shrugging slightly as he spoke. "Sorry, sorry. I guess I'm just nervous, can't believe I've got this far" Sparky would flash a grin to Fin before pausing and looking towards the exit that lead into the stadium, his eyes widening as he pointed towards it. [Pachi pachi!] Raising an eyebrow Fin would turn and then quickly gasp, realising that he was supposed to be walking out now onto the pitch which he quickly did in a run. As he got outside and he would slow down into a calm walk, looking around in shock at the sheer amount of people that had came to watch the battle. A few seconds would pass and he would get over his shock, quickly making his way into the tiny square where the trainer was supposed to stand and preparing for battle as the others probably would as the commentator spoke once again "With that let the matches begin!"

((Sorry if the starter's bad o~o I dunno I feel like it could be better))

"One, two, three, four, fi-" the young trainer suddenly stopped brushing her Pokemon hair "Aurora, where's your PokeBall?".

The Jynx put a hand on her mouth, pretending to be worried about the situation. Of course, the female knew she wasn't worried, she would never worry about such a thing. In the worst case, she would have to go first, which wasn't such a bad thing: she looked fabulous with that tiny braid Carah had made so her fringe wouldn't distract her in battle. She didn't like to have her hair tied, it was too long and gorgeous to do so, but that braid left the most of her hair free, and that made it perfect.

The only bad thing that could come from the loss of her PokeBall was that Carah wouldn't brush her hair anymore. That girl didn't understand her priorities.

As the teen ran through the waiting room searching for the PokeBall, the Jynx calmly brushed her hair as she hummed that catchy new song that would often play on the radio. "Aurora, is there any chance you could give me a hand?" asked Carah, now desperate "Don't you realise there are more important things than your hair?"

The Psychic Type snorted. What a stress of a trainer, if she kept getting like that everytime they had a show to put on she would end up with skin wrinkling before she turned twenty!

"Come on! Aurora!" she continued, her Jynx still brushing her hair as if nothing had happened. She crossed her arms, mad at the Pokemon "If you keep that careless attitude I'll stop buying your hair products."

And that appeared to turn a switch in the Jynx. No hair products?! Had she gone mad?! Her whole LIFE depended on her hair, there was no way she would get out of the PokeBall with a damaged hair! She needed the right shampoo, fixator and her coconut oil! her hair wouldn't grow fast enough without her coconut oil. Rolling her eyes, the Jynx started walking around the small room, searching for the PokeBall that could cost her beauty. It wasn't on the ground, nor in the chair, where had she left it! Wait, what was that round thing in Carah's pocket?

"Jynx!!" Aurora exclaimed as a metallic sphere lifted above her trainer's pocket due her psychic powers, drastically falling on the teen's hands "Jynx," she said in a cold voice as she took back the brusher.

"Okay, I'm sorry! It's just I have so many things to do and no one is helping me at all!" she yelled, frustrating the Jynx. She wasn't helping?! She won the last battle they fought! Carah wouldn't have reached the semi-finals without her! And she had to deal with a disgusting poison type, Aurora still couldn't get over the smell...

"Jynx?!"

"Oh god! Okay, you did help but... ugh! You wouldn't understand it!" she took the PokeBall in front of her, she didn't feel like arguing with that Pokemon anymore. In a flash of red, the brusher fell to the ground and the proud Jynx dissapeared. The time had arrived, the battle was about to start.

She took a deep breath in as she walked into the arena, smilling and waving at the icredibly largue crowd, even larguer than the ones she had seen before. She studied the faces, some of them smiling at her while they claimed for her victory, others supporting her rival. Anyways, she was going to give that boy the best fight he had ever had or die in the attempt.

"With that let the matches begin!"

That was the sign, everything was about to start.

"Wish you luck boy!" she yelled to him as she picked a PokeBall from one of her coat's pockets "But not better than mine!" and with that, she opened it. A great flash of read came from the ball, slowly becoming smaller, and smaller and smaller... until it was just a small Dedenne using her round eyes to charm the crowd "Go ahead Dilla, show them what we have!"

"Dede!" exclaimed the mouse.

Fin had already decided which Pokémon he was going to send out first so no matter which one Carah sent out he knew Sparky would jump off his shoulder and onto the pitch and that's exactly what happened when the Dedenne appeared, Fin having glanced to the Pachirisu on his shoulder with a slight smirk before watching him go onto the pitch, crouching down and ready to jump into action "Thanks! I think?" He'd call back in slight confusion, glancing to the side before returning his attention back to the field and watching the Dedenne carefully and thinking. Fin was a smart kid and knew that Dedenne was an electric fairy type and had predicted its weaknesses already, as well as a slight strategy

"You ready Sparky?" Nodding in response the Pachirisu would glance back to Fin and flash a smile before turning back around and returning its attention to the Denenne, sparks coming out his cheek pouches as he let out a small growl. The referee who had two flags and would be deciding who got the first move would raise the flag so it was pointing to Carah, quickly speaking out loud before stepping back "It has been decided that Carah will get the first move, let the match begin!"

A rush of energy ran through the trainer's body as she watched the flag bend to her side. She was the one to start.

"Okay... just think your first attack properly, don't make anything you'd regret later..." she said to herself. Starting the battle could give her a good adventage if she knew how to use that luck properly, but she was bad at thinking. Carah was a girl of emotion's, who trusted her feelings no matter what and this would often get her in trouble. She studied her oponent, a Pachirisu. Just like her Dedenne, Pachirisu's were fast creatures, with great abilities for evasion, that not to mention their similar types "Electric attacks won't be very useful but..."

She didn't have many options. Her Dedenne depended completely on it's electric type moves, but it was too soon to change it.

"Okay Dilla! Let's start with a Nuzzle!"

"Dede!!" the eyesof the Pokemon suddenly appeared to change, they weren't trying to charm anyone anymore. She was thinking about her power, focusing on the electricity running through her body to finally gather at her cheeks, making small sparks come from them. "Deh!!" she yelled as she headed towards the Pachirisu.

Carah knew her Dedenne wouldn't last long in a battle, and she for certain wouldn't deal much damage on her oponent. Even though, she was one of her favourites when it came to opening a battle: she was fast, one of the fastest in her team. Her quick feet could get tired any oponent after a few minutes, and her Electric Attacks would always be handy even after she was gone from the field. She seriously doubted her Nuzzle would hit, but there were plenty of things she could do after that.

Taking a deep breath Fin would lean forwards slightly and bend his knees a little, getting into a stance that showed he was concentrating and on edge, ready to react to any moves and command his Pokémon. Not having the first move did slightly unnerve him but he kept focus and waited for Carah to tell her Dedenne to attack, a confident smirk coming on his face as she announced the electric type move. He had an advantage but he choose not to show it until it had the maximum effect

The Dedenne's sudden change did scare Fin but Sparky stood strong and unaffected awaiting a command which quickly came from Fin "Quick use dig!" Dilla was probably extremely fast but there was the length of a whole pitch between her and Sparky who had disappeared into the ground and was currently tunnelling through. Rather cheekily he would flash a grin to Carah before returning his attention and calling out to his Pokémon "Wait a second Sparky!"

“Embrace the silence,” Diana’s eyes were locked with her Serperior. They stared at one another as though each had put the other in a trance. “Remember to move as though there is no weight to stop you. Drown out all noise and you will move as swiftly as the words that leave my mouth.”

The dancer reached forward and caressed underneath the snake-like pokemon’s chin. “You and I have suffered, both apart and together. For us to have made it this far, I can already tell you it wasn’t for naught.” Diana reached in and kissed Lovely’s nose before drawing the pokemon’s head to her chest for a gentle hug.

Lovely had grown used to this treatment. Her trainer was much more intimate than any trainer she’d had previously, and though they didn’t get along at first, the Serperior grew to enjoy the affection. The calmness of her voice mixed with her comforting body language made all of Lovely’s troubles seem so small in comparison to the vast universe. It even made her own form feel small in Diana’s arms.

The snake pokemon wondered if her trainer’s other pokemon had felt the same way, as she’d given each of them similar speeches for about thirty minutes before the first match began. Unlike the rest, however, Diana didn’t return Lovely back into her pokeball. Instead she allowed the pokemon to remain out for the time being.

Diana turned and looked to the screen that showed the battle that was to take place between Carah and Fin. The two had already started their match, and she observed each trainer and their pokemon.

A Dedenne versus a Pachirisu. Considering the size of each pokemon Diana found humor that such little creatures were given such a big stadium to fight in.

After letting out a faint chuckle the dancer turned her gaze to her soon-to-be opponent. A male that looked to be older than she was. While the expression he seemed to default to didn’t appear inviting, Diana thought it best to break down barriers as soon as possible.

“Hello...Deo, is it?” Diana smiled warmly. “I consider it a sincere pleasure to meet you face to face. My name is Diana.” She tapped the name tag pinned to her top and spoke with amusement. “If you couldn’t tell already. However, you can call me Ana if you would like.”

"Dedede!!" the Electric type exclaimed, her shrieks becoming faster everytime as the power of her electricity incremented, running with all she had against the Pachirisu's body. Meanwhile, Carah smiled in triumph from her side in the arena. Everything was going just as she planned. Her Dedenne would probably hit by the looks of the battle, and that would leave a paralyzed Pachirisu, a target barely even to move, almost unable to dodge any attack.

It all change with a few words from the Pachirisu's trainer.

"Quick use dig!"

The Pokemon didn't hesitate. In less than a second it was right under her Dedenne's feet, under the ground, one of the most dangerous places for her Dedenne. "You have to be kidding me!!" she exclaimed clutching her fist. How could she be so foolish? He wouldn't let her attack his Pachirisu just like that. It would mean to lose one of his Pokemon, and he only had six.

But of course, she wasn't going leave her Dedenne to faint with a single move. She had to do something, make that trainer regret his move...

"Dilla! Don't let him come out! Use electroweb!"

"Denne!" was the cheerful answer she got. The Dedenne left her quiet position next to the whole to gain more of a dinamic one. Her small feet quickly moving one after another as he ran through the arena like electricity itself, leaving a trace of sparks over her back, slowly weaving a red above the ground. The rows of electricity grew in number every second, tangling one another as the Dedenne made it's way through the ground.

"Well done Dilla!" Carah congratulated as she watched the electrified web her Pokemon had just made.

A slight look of surprise appeared on his face as the Dedennne started to cover the pitch in the electric web, Fin eventually realising what Carah was planning and admitting that it was a pretty impressive counter since the only way Sparky could come out would be through the hole. Unfortunately for Carah, Fin had a trump card, or more specifically his Pachirisu had a trump card which was its ability volt absorb. This meant it took not damage from electric moves and wasn't effected by electric status moves. Sparky could've taken the nuzzle from earlier but Fin didn't want to reveal his advantage that early in the fight, he wanted to tire the other Pokémon out to gain another advantage. Its small size meant that it was agile, definitely quicker than his Pachirisu but hopefully just a little bit, not to mention it required more energy to move and he doubted the Dedenne had a lot of stamina

*Fin's eyes would narrowed as he tried to come up with a solution, knowing that while the electricity wouldn't slow Sparky down the web alone certainly would and that it might even trap him underground As an idea popped into Fin's head he would grin and click his fingers while he called out to his Pokémon.* "Alright burst through the ground then use Iron tail to cut through the webs!" *The Pachirisu would suddenly dig upwards, smash through the ground and then into the air, the webs covering his fur and almost dragging him down before his tail turned to iron and he spun around in the air, the spikes having sliced through the webbing, freeing the electric squirrel which dropped to the ground. Unfortunately this did leave Sparky open to an attack as he couldn't dodge until he landed back on the ground and what Fin didn't know is that the webs would be in effect all match, slowing each of his Pokémon unless they were immune or he dealt with it*

Dilla gave herself a few seconds to just listen to the sound of her creation; the tiny sparks dancing through the web, threathening to catch anyone who dared to get in their way. It was just a matter of time until her oponent got out of the ground and ended up between the strands of her ElectroWeb, trapped in the power of her electricity.

"Prepair yourself, Dilla," said Carah with a serious expresion as her eyes ran through the ground, waiting for a slight sign of the Pachirisu to appear somewhere between the ElectroWeb.

"Alright burst through the ground then use Iron tail to cut through the webs!" ordered Fin rome the other side from the arena. The Dedenne's ears started moving slightly from one side to another, searching for any track of the Pachirisu. But the noice of the stadium made it impossible, everyone was clapping and yelling and screaming and cheering and... it was impossible to contentrate with that noice! It could be right under her feet and the poor Dilla wouldn't feel it.

"Dilla, it is right there!" her trainer yelled, dragging her attention to a point in the arena. How dared him! That was her web, she couldn't just cut through it like that! She watched her own creation fastly dissapear in front of her eyes, like a piece of silk falling apart and turning into nothing. Her cheeks inflated in madness as she decided to attack without orders, the matter was personal now. Once again, she started gathering electricity as she ran towards the Pachirisu, about to fall onto the ground after cutting through her ElectroWeb. Her nuzzle wasn't going to fail this time "Dilla! Wait! What do you think you're-"

The anger made the sparks in her cheeks become even more powerful than before, growing wider and savage as they surrounded her whole body, ready to hit her oponent and paralyze him for the rest of the battle.

Fin saw that Sparky had successfully sliced through the electric webbing, grinning happily despite noticing the fur getting covered in some of the silk which slowed the Pachirisu down slightly but by a large percentage. Sparky would land facing Fin but turn around as quickly as he could to face Dilla and Carah only for the Dedenne to land the attack right in the stomach of the Pachirisu, pushing him back slightly as its face scrunched up

The nuzzle didn't do anything thanks to the Pachirisu's ability and both Fin and Sparky would flash a smirk before the trainer commanded the Pokémon that had absorbed the electricity.* "Iron tail!"

Sparky didn't need to be asked twice, his tail turning into a shiny silver as he span on the spot to whack the Dedenne in the side and hopefully send it flying while Fin crossed his arms and spoke loudly across the pitch "I hope your Dedenne has something which isn't an electric type attack. I was gonna wait till your Dedenne was fainted but that would be a bit mean of me!" He wouldn't say anything else until Carah replied with a question or in realisation that Sparky had volt absorb.

A pair of glowing white pupils slowly made their way from edge to edge of their pitch-black owners, scanning each end of a corridor belonging to possibly the largest multistadium in all of Sinnoh: The Lily-of-the-Valley Stadium. These eyes belonged to a peculiar Sandslash of red quills and grey skin, who earlier had taken notice of the hundred-meter stretch's uncharacteristic emptiness. It was at the same time that he wondered why he was sent out of his Pokéball into such a setting. Typically, Sorex - the name given to said creature - was released either in battle, with the rest of the team, or in areas providing intellectual/historical significance or a high density of beings in general. That last bit, admittedly, resulted in the shrew Pokémon spending more time outside than inside the man-made capsule, as he wouldn't be able to tolerate missing out on knowledge of a culture, landmark, or social event. Now, while the Lily-of-the-Valley Sinnoh League Tournament being such an event of significance would be an understatement, the void of this particular location was so potent that it was inevitably permeated by the distant, booming cheers of countless voices, muffled from beyond the corridor walls.

Of course, there was also the nearby vague rustling coming from the Pokemon Center, which was built into the very wall of the place, the reason why Sorex's trainer had initially come. Even now, the shiny Sandslash failed to understand why they had stayed for several minutes after the team had already been healed, and, again, why he was out of his Pokéball if they weren't going anywhere. He delivered a subtle glance toward the figure behind him for the umpteenth time; he was leaning far forward in the chair he was sitting in, head down and covered by a greed hood, hands in black leather gloves grabbing his knees. If it wasn't for the fancy tournament nametag on his chest reading "Deo", Sorex could have easily envisioned the man a stranger, as he diverged so drastically from how he was ten years ago, albeit mostly for the better. He could recognize from Deo's position that he was thinking very hard about something, and the Sandslash was fairly confident about what it was given the circumstances.

Perhaps Sorex was simply there to provide company to the guy in his stress? Nah, that didn't add up. Cyta was far more reassuring in such situations and, as a psychic-type, was the only one who could directly communicate with Deo. As for the Sandslash and the boy, the two were consistently at odds and perhaps didn't know one another as much as they should given their time spend together. This lack of interaction could be partially due to what Sorex might consider a lack of support on his part. It's not that he didn't care about his trainer, but rather the idea of over-committing to the wellbeing of a single individual gave him a strange sense of unease, as if this devotion would blind him from the information of the world. Of course, he was aware of how ludicrous that kind of logic was, but he fancied it as a sort of social experiement. It was not only true that people held friends and loved ones above others but even widely accepted. Would it be possible, Sorex contemplated, for this to not be the case? Could the bias be removed with the relationship intact? - Or could this only be accomplished by...in simple terms...giving zero ****s at all?

Regardless, this mindset had strengthened the already awkward barrier between the "partners", and all that mind-wandering seemed to solve practically nothing. At least a potential answer to Sorex's initial question was came in an unforseen fashion as the voices from outside dwindled before picking up again with more clarity yet more division.

They were coming. Groups of people emerged from around the corner and began heading down the length of the corridor leading to the stadium's exit. Sorex questioned why they were leaving despite the tournament nearing it's climax, but this question was conveniently answered by Deo as his head lifted up from the commotion, the weight of his eyes quite apparent: "Welp, here come the people that couldn't afford seats in in the center arena for the final rounds", he sighed as he grabbed his silver suitcase and began walking towards the mass of bodies, Sorex close behind. The rushed pace of most - likely due to their impatience to return home and watch the semi-final battles on the television - was slowed by many who had recognized the man they would soon be viewing through their screens, and they began opening up a pathway far wider than needed for one person as Deo strode past. Secretly elated at this gesture, he pulled his red goggles over his eyes and concealed more of his face with his hood for an added intimidation effect. Sorex was relieved that his trainer seemed to be handling his newfound popularity well, even spotting a couple of the losing quarter-finalists make way for them.

Upon reaching the center arena, Deo just then remembered that he was granted a V.I.P seat. Being horrible with directions, he wasn't quite sure where he was supposed to go until he recognized a familiar person in the distance, a young woman who had won her quarter-final match as well. As he approached her, however, her seemingly personal interaction with her Serperior had instinctively urged Deo to halt and face elsewhere. Sure, he doubted he'd be able to hear her words even if he was closer, and they were already in a public area. Nevertheless, her body language signified a sort of profound intimacy with her Pokémon that he felt would be a crime to intrude upon. Yet, the real reason he had kept his distance was because of the powerful emotion stirring inside of him, a mysterious yet persistent envy that would only grow if he neared that girl. Sorex, on the other hand, was drawn in by the scene; to him it signified how hard they must have tried to make it so far, and how important a factor trust must have been (Contrary to their own team). He could only anticipate how fascinating it would be just to talk with them...

...But when the Sandslash waddled forward until he was nearly right in front of the pair, he just stood there silent for several seconds, taking note of how large the Serperior was up-close. Squinting his eyes in embarrassment, Deo soon followed before sitting a few chairs away, facing forward and temporarily pretending that he didn't know his own partner.

"Hello...Deo, is it?"

The ginger struck a quick glance in the direction of the woman's voice before staring back in front of him, paying half-attention to the battle at hand. From his quick glimpse she appeared fairly young, although with females it was always difficult for him to determine an exact age without close inspection, and that would just be creepy.

"I consider it a pleasure to meet you face to face. My name is Diana, if you couldn't tell already. However, you many call me Ana if you would like."

Her diction actually upset Deo, believing that such formality often meant that he had delivered a grim first impression. Despite being aware of this, all the man did in response to the woman was deliver a light nod and a poor excuse for a smile.

Odd.

Diana’s competitor didn’t offer much in response to her introduction. Normally when she introduced herself, the other person would respond in kind as per some unspoken ‘rule’ in society. It was by provoking this response that the dancer would gain a surface understanding of the other’s personality. How would she do this without engaging in conversation?

Then, it occurred to her. Perhaps this was a glimpse at who he was. A man who preferred silence to talking. Diana could surely appreciate that.

Without hiding her surprise, the young female’s eyes dropped some of their initial excitement. As if she’d removed a facade that she’d put up before introducing herself.

“Interesting…” she murmured. The girl then moved toward her future opponent and sat down next to him without another word. He didn’t want to share his voice? Well two could play at that game.

The girl’s eyes became fixated on the screen displaying the battle. She observed with genuine interest, wondering which of the trainers on the screen were going to be her next opponent.

Lovely turned her attention to the Sandslash. Her frown and upturned nose gave an image that was true to her species. As haughty as she looked, there was a glint of interest in her eyes whilst regarding the pokemon before her. The Sandslash wasn’t a normal one...it was shiny. Having not seen many pokemon of that type before, she was admittedly amused.

A long vine grew from beneath her ‘coat’ and patted the other pokemon on the head in a somewhat demeaning way. Lovely smiled at him in a friendly, yet challenging way. She may have found him interesting, but she still felt that the whole tournament was tipped in her favor. The serpent didn’t have a doubt in her mind that going up against a sandslash was going to be an easy victory.

Dilla released her electricity once she felt the Pachirisu's stomach against her face. She hit her hard enough to make the both of them fall to the ground, and once she could already feel her feet back on the arena, she stood up as fast as possible. Dilla would've liked for the others to watch that last move, they probably didn't expect her to come up with something like that, not being the smallest of the team, 'the weakest'.

But this was her first tournament, and she was sure it would change it all.

As she celebrated her succesful attack, she was suddenly brought back to reality by a small smirk on her oponent's face.

The Dedenne felt alarmed, her whiskers started trembling, low charges of electricity gathering in them, prepairing themselves in case of need.

"Iron tail!" said the Pachirisu's trainer way more relaxed than he should be with his Pokemon parlyzed. But wait, how could that Pachirisu still be so agile?

Before the Dedenne could react, she had the Pachirisu's tail against her face. It didn't feel soft or furry as she would've imagined, it was cold, and harsh and... it felt as if it her skin started to burn with the contact.

Electricity started running through her body as a reflect, attempting to electrocute her opponent and have his tail off her as soon as possible. It was a short attack, but it felt more painfull than any attack she had previously received.

Dilla ended on the ground, her left cheek aching like she never imagined.

"DILLA!!" Carah yelled from her spot in the arena as she watched her Pokemon fall onto the ground. Her eyes were closed, but the young trainer could already see the small tears coming from her "Oh Arceus, are you okay?!"

The Dedenne opened one eye and looked at her trainer in pain as she stood up and nodded her head. She still didn't open her left eye, where the Iron Tail had beaten her.

Carah's strong attitude seemed to fade as it was replaced by guilt. She hadn't prepaired her for a Steel Type move, at least not as strong as that one. Dilla was her most recent Pokemon, hatched from an egg, she had treated her as a baby for a largue time when she suddenly realised she wasn't a baby anymore. To Carah's surprise, she loved battling, perhaps, she was the most passionate in her whole team! But even though the Pokemon's talent was evident... how could she just stop seeing her as a little baby?

"I hope your Dedenne has something which isn't an electric type attack. I was gonna wait till your Dedenne was fainted but that would be a bit mean of me!"

Carah turned to her opponent in shock, still without saying anything as an answer to that revelation. That explained how the Pachirisu took without any inconvinient Dilla's nuzzle, and how the Electro Web didn't even affect his agility. He had been absorbing the Dedenne's attacks all this time!

"That's..." she was angry. Absorb Electricity was one of the rarest abilities in a Pachirisu and this one had to be one of those lucky ones, just the one she had to battle with! A small growl came out of her mouth as she turned her face to her Pokemon once again "Dilla! You have to come back! Now!"

But the Dedenne hadn't got enough of that battle. Her left cheek still ached and the pain had her five senses completely alert. Her body was a rush of electric energy and she needed to continue the battle.

Ignoring her trainer's orders, Dilla stood up. Her whiskers started vibrating even faster than they had any time before, her body was gathering even more electricity and this nuzzle would be even stronger than the one before. She headed towards the Pachirisu once more, her tiny feet moving as fast as they could.

"Dilla! What do you think you are doing?!" she asked to her Pokemon, yet without managing to get her attention.

Despite Sparky's ability he could only absorb so much electricity before it started to hurt and that was the case when Dilla electrocuted him after the Iron tail, the Pachirisu having winced gently and scrunched up his face before he hopped back and made his way back to Fin on the other side of the pitch, leaving Dilla alone. Turning back around the Pokémon would stand on its back too legs and breath heavily, trying to regain stamina whilst Dilla recovered.

"Good job Sparky" Fin knelt down and reach across the line to give Sparky a pat on the head before he stood back up and looked back to Carah. When he heard her speak and saw her angry expression his eyes would widen slightly, realising that she cared for this Pokémon deeply and he understood why. Chu's were cute but powerful and this one looked young so it must be like a baby to her, however this was a battle and she had chosen the Dedenne. Fin wasn't heartless however and he did feel bad when Dilla ignored Carah's command and started began charging towards Sparky again.

He felt so bad that instead of waiting for the attack to hit so Sparky could respond with another iron tail, he decided to take a more defensive approach and give Carah time to return her Dedenne "Sparky use dig!". The Pachirisu was quick to respond and despite remembering what happened last time, he burrowed into the ground in a few seconds, only just missing the Dedenne. Out of all his Pokémon Fin had the deepest bond with Sparky, being his first Pokémon and best friend and after many journeys and gym battles together they were quick to listen, understand and react to each others commandments and signals. They trusted each other immensely.

As Sparky made it underground Fin sighed in relief, knowing that the Pokémon was near his absorbing limits and that the nuzzle would of actually done damage, not to mention Fin knew that whatever Callah switched in would even the odds and even with an advantage Fin was barley keeping up. He could tell this was going to be a tough battle and despite getting off to an okay start he knew some if not all of his Pokémon were going to be faint. What he didn't know though was that the electro webbing was still on the pitch and would effect the next Pokémon he threw in that wasn't immune, a nasty surprise that had yet to reveal itself to the fedora wearing trainer.

He would snap out his trail of thought and look across the pitch to Carah, having joined his hands behind his back when he called out to her. "He's staying underground until you switch out, Its pointless to fight him with a Dedenne since he'll absorb all the attacks" It was a true fact but also a slight bluff. Fin could tell that despite not listening to its trainer the Dedenne was getting stronger and was a speed and damage machine at the moment, a slight problem for his Pachirisu despite it having volt absorb. She'd be a problem for the next Pokémon of his he faced but hopefully not to much of one. For now though Fin waited for Carah to switch, wondering what Pokémon she would throw out after returning Dilla.

The Pachirisu dissapeared under the ground once again. Dilla started running through the arena, attempting to find that Pokemon and continue her battle. But of course, there was no way she could follow him underground, no when she didn't know how to dig under it.

"He's staying underground until you switch out, Its pointless to fight him with a Dedenne since he'll absorb all the attacks" said Fin as he looked at Carah. The dark skinned trainer showed him a thankfull smile before turning back to her Pokemon.

"You've already heard that Dilla! It's pointless!" she exclaimed to her Pokemon, who had stopped running for a few minutes as she breathed heavily. She was getting tired without having her opponent in the ground, her fight was now against herself. "Dilla, I need you to be healthy for the next battle!" Those last words seemed to sink into the Dedenne's mind. She turned to her trainer hopefully, her breathing still agitated. Maybe Carah was right, there was nothing she could do in that field for the momen.

She turned back to the arena one last time, hoping for the Pachirisu to come back on land again. Despite her trainer words, Dilla still didn't feel like surrendering and letting another member of her team finish what she started. She couldn't help but feeling that tournament was her test, to prove everyone that she was as worthy as any other of Carah's Pokemon.

And she had to give up on her first battle.

The Dedenne let out a small sigh and turned around to face Carah. In a metter of seconds, the red flash of light comming from the Pokeball had wrapped her whole body, making her dissapear from the stadium.

"You did great, you'll surely win some other time," Carah said to the Pokemon now resting in her PokeBall. She faced Fin as she took a new PokeBall from her bag, ready to release a new Pokemon to replace the Dedenne "This time won't be so easy."

She could feel it through the walls of her PokeBall, the crowds cheering, clapping and yelling. She could also feel her trainer hands taking the metallic sphere. She knew what was coming, her time to shine was about to start.

"Okay, Madame! Go ahead!" her body went out of her PokeBall in a flash of red that would soon become a Liepard. Once she felt the ground, she let go of a small meow as she bowed to the audience. As soon as she finished her presentation, she looked forward to analyze her opponent.

Great was her surprise when she found none.

"He's underground," explained Carah to her confused Pokemon "I'd recommend you to be cautious."

The Liepard nodded her head as she prepaired herself for the battle. She inclined her body, taking impulse before jumping into the air. Once she reached a considerable distance from the ground, Madame crossed her forepaws to then uncross them as she fell back to the ground.

It might have looked like a show off to the public, but that was the most important part in Madame's fighting routine, her Hone Claws. She would never start a battle without prepaiting herself first, she needed to feel the sharp shape if her claws between her feet, the harsh texture of these between her fingers like it was metal.

That thing could come out of the ground whenever he wanted.

Fin had felt no guilt as he didn't know that it was the Dedenne's first actual Pokémon battle. If he knew this information he would've switched out himself as while battles are normally ferocious duels between two trainers there were rules and an etiquette in his opinion . Giving the opponent a chance strike was one of these etiquette rules, again in Fin's opinion.

The polite smile was noticed and after giving a nod in return Fin would unjoin his hands and slightly bend his knees again, taking a deep breath and becoming calm but tense. It helped him concentrate on the battle so he could identify attacks and strategies and then think of a way to counter them or come up with his own to fight back with.

"I'm counting on it" replied Fin in a call across the pitch, taking a second to turn his head and look at the crowds before he spotted the Pokémon she had thrown out. Liepard, faster than Sparky for sure and its attack is probably through the roof with that hone claws which hadn't gone unnoticed Fin who had watched the little display carefully. Although .. A few hits is all it would take.

"Sparky return!" The Pachirisu was arguably one of his best Pokémon and definitely his closest. Because of this Fin knew that its stamina was waning already and that it needed rest. He didn't want his star Pokémon to be out of its comfort zone and out of breath, at least not at the beginning of the battle. It took a few seconds but eventually a white and blue furry head popped up through the ground by the trainers feet. The Squirrel looked around in slight confusion before hopping out the earth and standing next to his trainers leg, having spotted the Liepard across the pitch and also having found it quite intimidating, making him glad he had been substituted for-

"Blitz lets go!" Fin grabbed and then curled a Poke ball into the air, it spinning several times before opening and releasing a Monferno midair, the fire/fighting type landing close to the centre of the pitch and then shouting its name proudly whilst gazing at the crowd with a grin on its face ["Moooooonferno!"] He had the type advantage and while he didn't have any fighting types moves he was confident in himself. However his confidence along with Fin's didn't last long as it was effected by the electro-web, blue transparent light sloping down the Pokémon's body indicating its drastic decrease in speed, the speed Fin was counting on and the speed the fire monkey so heavily relied on.

Realisation struck Fin "... Oh no"

A dumb squirrel. Carah had dragged her out to fight against a dumb squirrel. She tightened her paws fingers as soon as she saw her opponent, turning her Gaze to Carah as she looked at her angrily. It was disrespectful to have her, a Pokemon who's claws could break rocks with it's power, against a creature that could barely even reach the size of her head.

"That thing is fast," she warned her Pokemon "I need you to overcome his abilities!"

The liepard rolled her eyes, still unpleased by the oponent she was forced to fight.

As a natural predator, she would always study the battle terrain before starting a fight. Stadiums were her least favourites due their emptyness, reducing to nothing but a great plain. Even though, this one seemed to be affected due the last battle, filled with wholes and a couple of electric webs lighting the ground slightly.

The conditions could be dangerous for her if she didn't watch her back, but it could also become a good ally.

The tiny squirrel on the other side was dragged bag into his PokeBall, now to be replaced by an energetic Monfermo. This one looked more like a worth oponent. It was a fully evolved creature, with eyes that seemed to burn as energeticaly as his head. Sad thing he didn't watch his steps.

He hadn't spend more than five minutes outside his ball and he had already been trapped by one of the Electro Webs. Madame grinned in amusement, ready to start the caos.

"Let's get started," Carah ordered from her spot in the stadium "Use your Aerial Ace!"

The Liepard took a slight impulse to her back, fastly heading towards the Monfermo running at her maximum speed. The webs sparks, threathened with catching her, waiting for her just a few feets from her.

The feets became inches, but the Liepard wouldn't be so silly.

With the help of the speed she had reached, she impulsed her body to the air, crossing metters without need wings. There was no need for her to be a bird to fly, not when she had her speed.

And now, that aerodinamic feline was heading towards the Fire Type monkey.

Sparky didn't like being in a Poke ball and Fin respected that, which is why the Squirrel stood next to Fin's feet, watching the battle along with his trainer and waiting until he was called onto the pitch again. The pitch, like any other stadium's pitch, slowly regenerated after time so the field wouldn't be littered with holes and tunnels for that long however traps like toxic spikes and electro webs would stay unless removed by force.

Unfortunately for Fin, Blitz could not remove the electro webs by force and he would still be effected by them even if he found away to get rid of them. Fin was a quick thinker but the shock of the change in his monferno's speed and the speed of the Liepard itself completely threw him off.

"Try intercept with Fire punch!" The Monferno's fists flickered with fire but before he could even lift them up he was hit by the Aerial ace, the attacking sending him flying and then tumbling back to Fin. Due to being a flying type attack it was super effective against Blitz who was now lying on the ground in front of Fin, whose teeth were gritted and fists clenched. This was bad. Fin predicted that the electro webs would slow down 3 of his Pokémon, 4 if the other one touched the ground at all and all of them heavily relied on speed.

"Blitz you've gotta get up! Please!" At the moment Fin was desperate and the confidence along with slight smugness was gone. He was having to rethink multiple strategies for the different Pokémon on his team and his injured Monferno lying on the ground in front of him was distracting but a priority. Slowly the Fire type rose to his feet, trembling slightly but then taking a fighting stance once more and growling.

Fin let out a light sigh, glad that his Pokémon wasn't fainted and was determined to carried on. "Alright time to go underground, use dig!" The fire fighting type leapt forwards with a grin, impacting the ground with a fist and then swinging his other one around to begin tunnelling into it. He would usually be underground in a second however the webs slowed him down and potentially gave the Liepard time to strike again and stop his descent.
