Revealed: Mega Tyranitar was revealed on the 10th of October via a CoroCoro leak along with Mega Gengar and Mega Aggron. It was later revealed internationally by Pokémon.com on October 16th.
Additional Info: Even if Tyranitar's initial Sandstorm has been disabled or replaced by another Pokémon's moves/ability, Mega evolving Tyranitar will reactivate its Sand Stream ability and cause a second Sandstorm to brew. The red parts of its torso seethe with energy, enabling Mega Tyranitar to emanate even more power.
Mega Tyranitar's most notable stat boosts are to its Attack and Defense, but it also receives boosts to its Sp. Defense and Speed stats.
