Character Bios: The Reviar Family and Kouki Amachi
Name: Sylvia Reviar
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Height: 5'4"
Occupation: Student
Physical Appearance: Long pink hair with bangs, bright blue eyes, and peach skin. From her shoulder blades, she has white, near-pink angel wings that give off a strangely floral aroma. The aroma also emanates from her skin, but not nearly as prominently.
Casual Clothing: She always has a backpack on with an oxygen bottle concealed in the back. Her backpack typically rests over her wings, but due to her handicapped nature, Sylvia is not allowed to join the Heroics department, forcing her to join General Education. She often wears floral-patterned clothing, typically a blouse and patterned jeans or jean shorts casually. She has white sneakers with pink detailing, though they are old and somewhat dirty. She is never seen without her favorite pink zip-up hoodie, despite how old, worn, and big it was.
Hero Clothing: She technically doesn't own one, but she designed herself one anyway, even though she can never be a true Hero. It's a tunic-like dress decorated with colorful fake feathers here and there, including on her mask, shoulder buckle, and at the ankles of her boots. Under the skirt, since Sylvia would have flown, would have been solid white tights, and the outfit itself would be a mix of pastel pinks, whites, blues, greens, and sometimes purples.
Personality: She used to be very energetic, and sometimes still is, but it's not that often that her personality shows that much anymore. Instead, she's become calm, mostly sad, and very lonely over the years, despite all the people whom have attempted to help her. Due to her condition, she gets chest pains often and coughs up blood, often requiring visits to Recovery Girl. However, knowing there's nothing Recovery Girl can do for her, Sylvia typically ignores her own needs and focuses more on others than herself, causing more pain and more damage.
Quirk: Floral Angel - Sylvia was born with wings that smelled aromatic, as well as plant cells lining her skin and muscle tissue. Due to her plant cells in her body, Sylvia can use photosynthesis to gain energy and recover only slightly faster than she normally would. She can also grow plants from her muscle tissue directly, inserting her own nutrients into the plant she creates. However, when she plucks the plant, it takes a little bit of her valuable blood with her, and though it quickly heals due to Sylvia's photosynthesis and stored energy, she still rarely ever uses this part of her ability. Her plant cells allow her to smell like any plant she wants, which for her, is usually chamomile. Most of these cells are concentrated in her wings (though she can't create plants from them, only aroma). Sylvia can technically grow any healing herb from her body, but it requires a lot of energy that she just doesn't have. Besides her wings and aroma, Sylvia may as well be quirkless.
Backstory: She was adopted from the streets of Chicago City by her father, Kouki Amachi. She didn't change her last name, and this all occurred when she was seven, her brother was nine, and her sister was seven. During that time, however, there was a villain attack by a woman named Toxic. Toxic's ability was similar to Midnight's quirk in that she had special gas emanating from her skin. This time, however, it was poisonous gas, and while Jack and Lucy (her siblings) managed to get out of the situation safely, Sylvia wasn't so lucky and had inhaled the most poison out of anyone, permanently damaging her lungs. Since she was so young, the doctors were afraid to do anything too strenuous or risky to her for fear of her death, so some doctors tried to speed up her healing process. She was supposed to heal within about six to eight months, but needless to say, the damage became permanent. Sylvia's dreams of being a Hero were crushed that day; she knew in her condition, she could never become a Hero. So she tried to help others become Heroes too, by making it to U.A. and passing the exam despite her condition, and entering the General Education department out of her own will.
Name: Jack Reviar
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9"
Occupation: Student
Physical Appearance: White, scruffy anime boy hair, dark purple eyes, and skin that's only barely darker than Sylvia's. He has a commanding presence, the presence of a leader and a Hero.
Casual Clothing: His casual clothing usually consists of a big purple hoodie and gray capris. Under the hoodie, he sometimes wears funny shirts, but no one ever sees them but his sisters unless it's a particularly hot day. His shoes are ordinary purple sneakers.
Hero Clothing: He wears a loose-fitting outfit, almost akin to Izuku Midoriya's Hero outfit as Deku, but clearly different in several ways. For one, his outfit is baby blue and white, closely resembling a sky, and he has goggles hanging around his neck for his sky work. There is also a fabric on either side in his armpits all the way down to his pants that act as gliding wings, which allow him to soar with extra precision, and they are detachable so that no one can catch him off-guard.
Personality: As a brother, Jack is very protective and leader-like. He leads his sisters, reassures them when they're sad, and helps them to feel happy again. He has almost always been by Sylvia's side up until he began U.A. When he heard Sylvia began U.A., he became more stressed over his sister's well-being and has sometimes lashed out at others for it. He was born with an especially gifted mind and could have graduated on his grades alone long ago (if U.A. allowed people to graduate on grades alone, but they didn't), but his training still needed work, so he had remained and practiced as much as he could, becoming the elite of his class, a senior in U.A.
Quirk: Atmosphere - He can control the air particles all around him. During his training, his limit had grown to the size of a city as big as Moscow. In other words, he can heat up the air, cool it down, create storms, winds, or anything else of the sort. It all requires the use of his hands. If he overuses his quirk, his hands may become unusable for up to three days with full-powered healing quirks active; however, this only happens if he strains himself and uses his full power for far too long.
Backstory: During the Toxic incident in Chicago, the day Sylvia, Jack, and Lucy were all adopted, Jack had, for the first time, overused his quirk and his arms had become unusable for three days. However, as Sylvia was passed out in the hospital the whole time that had happened, she didn't remember that that had happened. Jack told her, promised her he'd never do it again, and while so far he has yet to break the promise, he has been feeling a loss of control on his emotions and quirk a lot more lately, since Sylvia was now enrolled and an official student in U.A. His reason for wanting to become a Hero is to protect Sylvia and Lucy with all his might. His idol is the Number 1 Hero of America, Ace, who had saved his, Sylvia's, and Lucy's lives that day, and had since become his "mom" (they were still working some things out in America and struggling to maintain a relationship with their (the kids') dad because of business happening all over the place).
Name: Lucifer "Lucy" Reviar
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Height: 4'11"
Occupation: Student (at middle school)
Physical Appearance: Mint green, short hair, white, strong, pointed devil horns, bright red eyes, peach skin, big white demon wings, and a long, white demon tail. The tail has the option to harden or soften at Lucy's will, depending on how much she flexes it. By flexing it enough, the poison sacs underneath her tail's scales spill out, and a transparent green "poison" can at most, coat her tail. The poison is not overly dangerous and mostly acts as a drug to make opponents fall asleep, like a tranquilizing dart. When dark, Lucy's horns, wings, and tail all glow, provided she collected enough light during the day (and usually, she has).
Casual Clothing: She wears a pretty red jacket with a pale red dress usually, designed with pretty stars and hearts. Her shoes provided her with light as well, as when in the dark, they could light up at the soles, and she would collect that light energy into her horns, wings, and tail.
Hero Clothing: Her hero costume, while not yet real, was always designed (per Lucy's request by Sylvia, since Lucy couldn't draw) to have a light-manipulation mechanism. She had worn a cute mask with light detection lenses on it, as well as a cool night vision function that she could switch back and forth with. Her jacket was short, revealing an undersuit that was skin-tight and glow-in-the-dark. Her outfit also sported a short skirt, a full white bodysuit, and a pair of light red combat boots for easy maneuverability.
Personality: While Lucy was originally shy, when Sylvia was hurt, her attitude took a gradual turn. Soon, as Sylvia had lost her spark, Lucy found her own. She became energetic and sociable (though still shy when first spoken to) and tried to brighten the lives of her siblings and father once Sylvia had stopped doing so herself.
Quirk: Light Demon - She has demonic traits in her horns, tail, and wings, but other than that, she's anything but a demon child. Lucy can collect light and manipulate it to her will due to a grandparent's quirk passing down between generations, and her demonic traits are otherwise nothing but physical. She can create pure energy blasts from light alone and her quirk allows her to be more offensive of a Hero, while Sylvia's quirk would have theoretically made her more defensive in comparison. Her wings have great strength and speed and make a very good combination with Jack's Atmosphere quirk. Lucy's quirk isn't godlike by any means, but it has no real known weakness besides her own stamina and strength otherwise. However, if one were to take light away from her, they would win easily (although it's nearly impossible to remove all light from her location. It isn't as though shade weakens her, either).
Backstory: When Sylvia lost her will to be happy, Lucy got over her childhood shyness and became an energetic, spontaneous child. Like Sylvia and Jack, Lucy was exceptionally smart, and while she didn't know everything about the world, she experienced firsthand how harsh it could be, so she wanted now more than ever to become a Hero for Sylvia's sake. Lucy had come up with names and ideas for herself and Jack, and when Jack found out what she was doing and exactly how creative she was, he joined in and became motivated to work on becoming a Hero. Lucy also had daily Quirk practice and was exceptionally strong as well as smart, and it's estimated that given another year, Lucy could consider applying to U.A. early and completely skip her eighth grade. Lucy's Hero name was to be Lumina and Jack's was to be Tempest. Before Sylvia was attacked, Lucy had thought of the name Rose Feather for Sylvia's Hero identity, but that never came to pass.
Name: Kouki Amachi
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Height: 5'8"
Occupation: Language Teacher at U.A.
Physical Appearance: Very ordinary-looking, despite his natural blue hair (from his father) and amber eyes. He is otherwise completely normal in every way.
Casual Clothing: Outside of work, he is seen in a brown trench coat or simple T-shirt and khakis. Once again, very normal-looking.
Hero Clothing: None, though Sylvia did design him a cool outfit and different quirk, but it was a drawing that would never come to pass, so it's not worth describing.
Personality: He's a kind soul who especially loves children. After the villain attack, he quit his job and adopted the children (which his ex-boss happily funded him for, having a soft spot for children as well) and after having settled them in, took to a new job. He knows how to empathize with other people and uses his experience for good. As a kid, he had always wanted to be a Hero, and despite his average quirk, he now had a chance to prove his abilities as a "Hero" teacher.
Quirk: Language Barrier - He can speak all human spoken languages and has the mental capacity to learn more and more if need be. He has used this quirk to learn morse code, hieroglyphs, ancient codes, brail, all sign languages, and so much more. Due to his kind nature, he was quickly picked up as a language teacher and interpreter for the school.
Backstory: During the villain attack, although Kouki received considerable damage to his own lungs, like Sylvia, he was still healed a lot easier, as he was an adult, and ultimate left unscathed. The kids' (and his own) savior, the Number 1 Hero of America, Ace, had saved him, and after the two spoke and chatted, they quickly hit it off. Kouki and Ace (Jimmy, as their real name is technically) began dating despite living so far apart after he adopted the Reviars, and since then, Ace has visited the children many times and become their mother figure. Unfortunately, due to the time zones, Ace and Kouki don't have time to talk much, especially with Kouki's new job, but the two are still trying to make it work. When Sylvia wanted to enroll into U.A., Kouki only allowed her when she promised she wouldn't apply for the Heroics department and instead the General Education one. She was also not allowed to partake in the Sports Festival and any physical exercises, due to her condition. He also said that since he would be teaching many of the language classes in the school, he would be there to watch over Sylvia and guard her, despite his lack of powerful quirks. Sylvia accepted the terms, but still Kouki worries, as he knows she cares less for herself than she does for others, and for Sylvia especially, that kind of behavior and thinking is dangerous.
