Kyran raised a brow as Miya admitted her confession, and he turned to look at her. After she was done, he let out a deep exhale, the breath coming out as fog against the chilly evening air. As he watched his breath dissipate in the night, Kyran chuckled softly and looked down before he began to speak. "Well, that's rather amusing. It would then seem that the feeling has come to be mutual." Suddenly, right as he finished his own confession, Kyran felt Miya's head rest against his shoulder, and straining his eyes to look through his periphery, he saw that Miya had fallen asleep. Huh. Well that's some deja vu. A cell phone-- he presumed it to be Miya's-- lit up with a notification next to the girl, and ever so gently reaching around her shoulder, Kyran read the text message that had just arrived from her mother. "Sudden business trip came up; I'm gonna be out of town until tomorrow afternoon. Feel free to crash at a friend's for the night." The teen side as he slowly deposited the phone in a free pocket before gently hoisting Miya onto his back, just as he had done during the fall trip weeks ago. By then, everyone else had retired to their home, so Kyran made a final check to make sure the park pavilion was clean before heading toward his own place. Upon arriving, he slowly climbed the stairs and laid Miya onto his own bed, tucking her in and putting her phone on the nightstand and turning off the lights. He then occupied the guest room next to his room and laid on his bed, drifting to bed. I’m assuming she heard what I said, but her confession earlier today might have been a result of her fatigue, I wonder what she’s going to think of the matter tomorrow morning.
The next day, Kyran awoke and quickly freshened up, changing into a short sleeved t shirt and a different pair of shorts. He headed downstairs into the kitchen and began preparing breakfast, this time making sure there were rations for both him and Miya, who was probably still asleep upstairs.
