Carlton Van Helsing is a descendant of the original monster hunter and a history professor at Horthorn College in Manhattan. He has spent his life capturing evil and unusual beings from around the world. On September 22nd, 2023, he finally completed his task of catching 12 of some of the last remaining monsters in the world, and he was going to seal them away forever using a ritual created by one of the Van Helsing's before him. Utilising the abandoned underground basement of the college library, Carlton began his ritual to seal the 12 creatures into stone idols. However, that same night several students brought together by fate, chance or boredom happened to be in the library after hours and heard sounds from bellow, choosing to investigate the accidentally end up right in the middle of Carlton's ritual resulting in one of the creatures being sealed in each student.

Duke Harold Battershore is an eccentric immortal who has been trying to gain control of the monsters that Carlton's family have spent generations hunting. He desires the power having control of them will bring him. He knows that Carlton is at the college and that he has the 12 monsters and after setting up a headquarters he begins his campaign to locate and capture the creatures.

Your character will be one of the students, the students once they have a monster sealed in them gain the abilities and weaknesses of the monster within as well as the voice of said monster occasionally speaking to them.

Powers: Bat transformation, enhanced speed, enhanced strength, healing factor and enhanced senses.
Weaknesses: Garlic, sunlight, has to be invited in and religious symbols.

Name: Lawrence Talbot
Powers: Wolf transformation, enhanced strength, enhanced speed, enhanced senses and a healing factor (All powers strengthened when in wolf form)
Weaknesses: Silver, full moon causes loss of control and slightly more feral at night.

Powers: Resurrection and a slightly enhanced sense of smells.
Weaknesses: Is basically a regular human they just don't stay dead, they also have an urge to consume people.

Personality: Alexis is an incredibly laid-back individual. She seems perpetually happy and unfazed by everything. She loves hanging out with friends and sleeping. She is not particularly bright but that is more due to a lack of effort and focus. The one thing that does bother her for some unexplained reason is that she hates cucumbers.
Backstory: Alexis' parents died when she was 2 years old, and she was raised by her grandparents. She remembers nothing about her parents and only knows what her grandparents have told her. She was given a lot of freedom growing up with her grandparents, rarely telling her off or telling her not to do dangerous things as they let her figure out things for herself. It's likely this style of upbringing led to the way she is today and getting hurt and figuring things out come naturally to her. She is in her third year of an art degree at Horthorn College after several years of her grandparents urging her to go to college.

Backstory: Connor grew up in Ireland for the first 8 years of his life, his family then moved to the states and Connor got more into singing and performing. At the age of 16 Connor was part of a semi-successful boy band called Emerald Isles with 4 other lads of Irish heritage. The group did well for a while until a falling out after 4 years as a group, this led to the group disbanding. Connor, now 20 years old decided to take this chance to go to college, and he eventually got in at Horthorn on a music degree, which he is now on his second year of.

Personality: Lina is often described as the human equivalent of a mastiff; friendly and loyal, but ready to absolutely mess someone up if provoked. Her intimidating outward appearance can often spook people, but she tries her best to be outgoing and to get along with people. She's had a history with her temper getting out of control, but she's mostly worked through that and is better at keeping her cool (unless, say, a stressful case of lycanthropy started to make her a little more tense and on edge). She struggles a little to balance her modern identity with her family's heritage and traditions, but she's proud of where she's from and who she is now, and absolutely loves her family to death. She's always had an interest in her Romanian culture, and especially enjoys her parent's old stories and warnings about Strigoi and Pricolici, even if none of them really believe all that much in the superstitions.

Backstory: Lina is was the eldest of two children born from two Romanian immigrants in New York. She grew up in the city, struggling through the school system and searching for her identity. She discovered her love for animals when she got two pet ferrets at a young age, and enjoys studying and working with them. She's also a softball player, and managed to be good enough to get a decent scholarship to Horthorn. She plays for the school team and juggles that with pursuing a degree in the field of zoology. It's taxing and stressful, but she's mostly making it work.

Personality: Angela is generally a quiet young woman, always listening and waiting for a chance to give her two cents.
Backstory: Angela was born to a wealthy family, with her parents always pushing her to act and dress like a "Lady" even going so far as to send her to an all girls school that specialized in educating those of noble birth. Needless to say, things didn't go as well as her parents hoped and Angela intentionally got herself expelled. Not sure what to do with her, her parents turned to her uncle for help in whipping her into shape, somehow not realizing that her time with him would be the complete opposite of what they hoped.
Angela's uncle was far more open-minded than her parents, teaching her to fight, fish, hunt and even process her prey. He didn't bother too much with things like etiquette or fashion, letting Angela decide her own style, only teaching her to not come off as rude or sloppy. Needless to say, Angela's parents were not at all pleased with the final result. Especially after she adopted a Mastiff pup she named Brutus.

They have a bit of a hard time reading the situation, often doing things they probably shouldn't, but they'll usually figure out when and when not to commit to the bit after seeing how people react. They're a creative person that has to be doing something at all times; they often carry around a notepad or a camera so they can pounce on any inspiration they find.

Backstory: Quinn is from a middle class family and grew up in New York. Their adoptive dads run an antique shop together in a part of the city not far from Horthorn, and they picked up a lot of knowledge there. They're currently pursuing an English degree, and this is their first year at Horthorn after a couple of years taking classes at the local community college to save a bit of money. They work at the campus bookstore on the side, and a few people will know them from their shifts as a cashier.

Personality: Ram is the kind of person you wouldn’t expect to be smart. On the outside, he’s a cool and laid-back person who prefers to kick back and relax. He prefers to go with the flow if it suits him. While not mean-spirited by any chance, he can be sarcastic sometimes, usually when frustrated. But deep down Ram is a nerd with a heart of gold, who’s compassionate, well-mannered, and always there to lend a helping hand. While not often, he’s not one to shy away from adventure and danger, which explains all his bandages. He's incredibly intelligent and quick-witted, hiding a vast amount of knowledge behind his facade of being a chill dude.
Backstory: When Ram was around five years old, his parents got divorced after his father was caught having an affair. His mother decided to move a lot when he was growing up to cope with the loss, which led to him developing this “cool guy” persona and becoming a bit of an outcast. However, that would all change when his mother met her future wife, who was Egyptian and at the time was an up-and-coming Egyptologist and archaeologist. They hit it off together, and soon they got married, finally giving young Ram some time to adjust and open up to people. He enrolled in Horthorn through an academic scholarship and is now pursuing an archaeology degree so that he
can be like his adoptive mother. Ram can commonly be found relaxing in the library and reading a good book or five, just going with the flow.

Likes: Arthropods and reptiles (especially the weird ones), video games, his mothers, books, Egyptian mythology, Egyptology, cartoons, puzzles and riddles, and conspiracy theories (he finds them fun to listen to but can tell which ones are wrong).
Dislikes: Tight spaces, people being idiots for no reason, being tricked, people calling him lanky, anything relating to his dad, yo mama jokes (he has to deal with double the amount), and dust.
Other: He sometimes goes by “Ramses”, a nickname coined by his archaeologist mom while she was video chatting him from a dig. He has bandages wrapped around his hands and neck because he finds it cool. He’s watched all the Ben 10 series, and Snare Oh is one of his favorite aliens.

Backstory: Zach goes from a rich, well off family. He grew up never struggling for anything. But as he grew up he hated it, he wanted to work for his own things. He got good grades, was well liked. Even followed all the rules. Zach even got Valid Victorian of his old classes. After this transformation he had to learn that all over again, and still is.

Ash wears a small, teardrop-shaped pendant that appears to have mist floating inside of it. When using her abilities, her hair floats up around her head and her eyes turn a misty white. She also appears semi-transparent, almost like (you guessed it) a ghost.

Backstory: From a young age, Ashley has always had a wild streak. She grew up in Seattle, Washington, and was relatively well-off. However, this didn't make her a stuck-up rich kid, rather made her a generous person who loves to give gifts to her friends. As a teenager, Ash's best friend was kidnapped, sending her spiraling into grief before realizing that she could actually do something about it, rather than becoming a bystander. She sat inside of her car, shakily holding the only weapon she owned, a small pocketknife, and drove away, leaving her friend to his fate because Ash couldn't bring herself to do it. Since then, she beats herself up about it, reminding herself of the one time she couldn't protect someone she loved.

@Anakisuto I'm all good on the writing front, im just putting stuff on hold until I've finished my uni coursework, which will be in about a week or so, so I just ask for a little patience.

Also, you shouldn't double or triple post it is against the rules and you could get in trouble, it's usually better to edit your post if you have stuff to add.
