PLOTHazy Valley. This small town rests at 5,600 feet above sea level. It is nestled between two large mountains, almost cut off from civilization, yet boasting quite the active community. The town itself was founded only fifty years ago, as an attempt to secure resources without needing to travel a great distance in order to obtain them.
The mountains provide more than enough shade to keep the town cool and chilly. The climate is quite mild, rarely getting very warm, even in the summer months. The moist air allows for plenty of vegetation to grow. Forests of strong, tall evergreen trees blanket the mountain sides and most of the valley.
The town itself is made up primarily of those that would benefit from such a climate, to include water types, grass types, dark types and ghost types. Electric types find their powers a bit amplified, thanks to the cloudy weather. Rock, ground and fire types don't seem to thrive, but that doesn't stop them from visiting.
Should you come to visit Hazy Valley, you can expect the finest accommodations (that one could find in a mountain town), as well as all the usual necessities. Drowzee runs the general goods store right in the middle of town. Swalot can store your items for you. Grumpig runs the bank. Zangoose and Lickitung run a cafe that caters to all types. Leavanny and Scolipede run a berry farm and should you ever feel in need of an accessory to help you in your dungeon crawling, stop by Glameow's Boutique. The hotel is run by Chandelure and his family. The lake, for those that can handle the weather, is perfect for swimming.
But Hazy Valley wouldn't be anything without its illustrious Explorer's Guild. As it usually is with every town, the guild is the veritable hub of activity, ran by the powerful and strict duo, Lapras and Mienshao. After all, the mountains are a fond destination for many avid out-of-town hikers. Just as you would think, these hikers are often in need of a rescue, as rock slides and bandits are common along the trails. Just as well, the hazy weather can make it easy to get lost in the woods.
Just like any other guild , Hazy Valley's is often sent requests for help to rescue those outside the border of their small town. It is the guild's duty to rescue those in need and it simply wouldn't do to assume some other team would handle the job.
But as time went on, Hazy Valley seemed to be getting more and more jobs that required teams to travel and each one seemed to be more dangerous than the last. While it would be crazy to think that trouble didn't exist in the world, there never used to be this much...

I know it's a lot to read, everyone. It'll be worth it if we work together. ♥
Now, for the form!
Sometimes, exploration teams need help. Sometimes, they just wanna help. Hell, why not share in the wealth? Or maybe... you want it all for yourself? What I'm going for is to have another team to join mine and... if interested, to have a third team be the antagonists. Y'know, you'd get to play out being the asshole, if you'd like. Doesn't being bad sometimes feel... good?
Settings:
Explorers of Sky. I haven't played the newest PMD game, so I don't know anything about it. x'D The storyline will be rather open. Some modern technology (cell phones and such) exist here, for communication convenience.
Basic Plot (will be refined as we plan):
The Hazy Valley Exploration guild is looking for teams to help take on quite a few dangerous jobs they have lined up. The surrounding mountains are a fond destination for many avid out-of-town hikers. Just as you would think, these hikers are often in need of a rescue, as rock slides and bandits are common along the trails. Likewise, the hazy weather can make it easy to get lost in the woods.

Intent of the RP
There will be lots of interaction between missions and plenty of action. You can be new, having just joined the guild or you can be seasoned explorers. Hell, wanna be evil, sneaky or just plain mean?
The point is trying to make this RP shape up to feel realistic. You're not always on missions, nor is everyone in town totally stoked about being an explorer. There is variety in this world, after all. You might meet someone who only saves others for money or you might meet someone who turns down the pay simply for the good of the cause. You never know!

Looking For:
At least a minimum of five active characters and no more than eight or nine. Ideally, two good teams and one bad team.
The blur between good and evil is kinda blurry, since selfishness doesn't mean 'evil' and justice doesn't always mean 'good'. I'm thinking maybe five or six protagonists and two to three antagonists.

CONDITIONS/GUIDELINES:
This is VERY important. If you can't agree to this RP within these guidelines, then it won't work. It'll make sense when you read them.
1. First and foremost, no rushing others. We all know that free time can be VERY limited, so I will only expect a single post from you once every 1 or 2 days, because I will only be posting once every 1 or 2 days. As such, this RP will move slowly, depending on how many people join up. However, this DOESN'T mean that those who CAN reply more often SHOULD. Be patient and wait for your turn. Everyone will have 48 hours from the latest reply to post their own. Plenty of time.
2. I'm expecting a paragraph minimum per reply from those who join. Obviously some posts, especially ones that involve a fair amount of dialogue, can be a bit tricky, so the occasional three sentences is fine. You'll have plenty of time to make a reply. Also, minor grammar/spelling errors are fine, as long as it doesn't take away from the post. I'm not expecting Hemingway or Poe, but I would like some effort.
3. Unless you have a good reason, please don't just up and leave. The nature of this RP will make it difficult to simply kill someone off (write them out), so if you leave, you could very well kill the fun for the whole group.
4. There will be plenty of battling, so PLEASE follow proper RP battle protocol. This essentially means that you do not decide if your attacks hit (your opponent will, if controlled by another user). However, the opponent will need to be fair, as well. If being attacked, more often than not, you will be hit. The occasional dodge is fine, but try to throw in some bad luck. (example, dodged a hyper beam, but the explosion blasted a rock at you). Also, if you have read this far, type "flabbadood" in quotes after your name in the form. ♥
5. No legendaries. Pseudo-legendaries (like Arcanine, Eevee+evos, so on) are fine. Humans turned into pokemon are fine. You can be any stage of the evolutionary chain.
Also, no OP characters. You don't know what other person is thinking. You can't control the other person without their explicit permission. You can't blow up an entire city, so on and so forth. Be logical and reasonable.
6. Keep it clean. No gore, no sex, blah blah blah. You can have romance, just don't make it TOO suggestive. Profanity is allowed, but don't abuse it.
7. HAVE FUN. This is gonna be in-depth as hell and depending on how this goes, I might make this into a multi-chapter fanfic when it's finished, as I like to write during lunchtime at work. : P
