Seiun
At the very least, Seiun was appreciative that B.O.S.E.C wasn't giving him the silent treatment, though that didn't mean Seiun would tolerate the AI's sarcasm. While the background around him dimmed, the rogue shinobi refused to be intimidated by this gesture.

Well let's not try to beat around the bush here, lets talk about this "self-destructive" behavior of mine. Though if we're being as frank as possible, we need to be more specific. Now feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but this is about me modifying the words you suggested to me as well as refusing your help when I was talking with my brother. Is that not what this is about?
Taiyo
The fiery shinobi nodded with intrigue at the mention of calligraphy. Given that he had never heard of such a thing until now, Taiyo didn't hesitate to ask a question.

"What is calligraphy?" The FBS master began inquisitively before moving to a more direct question, "And if possible, could you teach me how to do it?"

B.O.S.E.C. Snapped his sharp talon-like fingers, a spotlight shining in the darkness. It showed Seiun in chains tied to what appeared to be a brick wall. B.O.S.E.C. Swirled around this Seiun, tracing a talon along the rattling shackles.

Furījia

"Calligraphy is the art of writing beautifully," that was the simplest and most straightforward way Furījia could explain things; but, she imagined a demonstration would be even better. Furījia rose to her feet, her hands slipping beneath her waist-sash and reflexively pulling out her spear. She poised herself, years of practice taking over as she stilled her movements. Steadying her spear, she dipped its tip into the mud. She was silent for several moments as still as an undisturbed lake; pondering what words to leave behind.

As soon as her mind was settled, Furījia lurched into action, her wrist and arms guiding her spear like a brush, drawing characters through the mud in fierce strokes: bold and forceful mid-sections with delicately tapered edges. When she finished, the characters for Hyūga (日向) had been etched into the mud. Perhaps because they were carved by blade, rather than by brush, the words emanated a sense of unbridled aggression.

Satisfied with her work, the heiress stepped back to reveal it. While Taiyo took in her handiwork, Furījia turned her attention towards their surroundings. It'd been a while since her last check and it was time to do so again. She activated the Byakugan, stretching her gaze across the vast expanse of the swamp. The fights going on hadn't changed much, except for the addition of an altercation between a group of Kumo-ninja and, more importantly, a Konoha-nin (and his Kusa tag-along).

The heiress immediately frowned as the Konoha-nin was gagged with an old, musty sock. The girl bristled, knowing that a choice was upon her. She could turn a blind eye to this, the Konoha-nin was in no observable danger and, besides their pride, appeared to have taken little damage. However, Furījia knew that to turn away from this now would damage her own sense of integrity. To disappoint others was one thing, but to disappoint herself was unacceptable.

"There's a Konoha nin in trouble, a few hundred meters in that direction." Furījia paused and gestured, then turned to Taiyo. "I'm going."

She left the rest of her words unsaid, but her firm gaze conveyed it all. 'Are you coming?'

As Madoka moved closer to Yasu, she saw a few things approach her one assuring and others that had been less than assuring. Several Bobo's shot around her as Yasu tried to pluck them off with feather shots as more seemed to pop up when he popped one among the distorted air.

Which as she saw the generous gift of Yasu, gave her an idea.

Madoka would use chakra threads as she fly toward Yasu to manipulate the weapons as she spun and launched them about all the various Bobos around her. Aiming to strike them all at once, and not only that but the puppet master would aim to twirl the air around the Bobos in order to "funnel" the distorted air away from the area best as she had capacity while riding high on Raven. The wind she funneled seemed to sway the branches even far below them as the gale winds seemed to carry strong aiming to steer the phantom possy far from the scene

"Well you've got jokes, so I'll take that as a good sign you are not too worse for ware." Tomiko mused, as Mori seemed to outline the general situation and the Genjutsu they may or may not have been stuck in. Would certainly explain the oddness, but this if it had been a Genjutsu was unlike any she had seen or even heard of before.

However, that though had to way as something approached Mori. Quickly the kunoichi went to work, and using chunks of the Earth she had previously weaponized punched and shattered rock with her gauntlets as she fired rock bullets towards the descending clown as she aimed to pepper him with a wide range strike.

-----------
"Simple. We take these guys to an nearby exit, and hopefully we bump into some other thief and take them out along the way. If not you two cash in these two and leave me, Sky & Luna to find the last one." Aisha explained, as it seemed simple enough to her and snesing that either may object she had been quick to follow up her point.

"Kenji caught one, you caught the other. We were just backup, wouldn't feel very accomplished taking credit for one of them. And should we only have these two for now, I have Luna & Sky to back me up bettering my chances vs. you or you on your own. It's the smart play and we gotta make it." Aisha explained, and much as Kenji had desire to object it seemed objectively like the better play. They couldn't waste these captures they had and really there was a lot of time for Aisha and her pack to make up, plus they could possibly find another thief along the way.

"Taji?" Kenji asked, curious if she supported Aisha's plan.

-----------
"Well, 2 on 1 isn't great odds, and I'd prefer to keep a scrap outside the family, but it seems their focus is on another. Perhaps I can take advantage..."

Zino mused to himself as his Byakugan caught the trace of a pair of figures, his fellow clan member Furijia and the alleged pervert she spared with in Taiyo. He had not been sure what the discussion was based off, his long range lip reading only had capacity to tell him so much. But it seemed Furjia was making a call to action and if he had any chance for success to nab one of them preferably Taiyo he had to keep close enough to keep them in range to strike if they happened to get in a skirmish.

So he prepared to set out in kind.

-----------
Ino and Takato moved through the trees as they hoped to come across someone or something soon, but as Takato prepared to take a step Ino put him to a halt just before they approached what seemed to be a pair of flowers by the swamp below them.

"I do hope you didn't make me stop to admire the flowers." Takato muttered in deadpan as Ino rolled her eyes before she pointed as the faints signs of this odd pollen being released in the air ahead of them.

"No, but I do know such an action like that is rather accelerated on its own. Call it a hunch, but I think it might be a trap, which means..." Ino said, as Takato nodded as they scanned ahead.

"Someone is here..." Takato finished.

-----------
"You know, you do not need a formal invitation..."

Azumi had emerged from her apartment, as she had taken a moment that Sagiso seemed to use to longue about on her roof to tidy up but as she seemed to be ready to bring her friend in, she seemed to be presented with a curious letter as she took a moment to scan its contents before her faced seemed to focus slightly as she sighed out.

"Actually, we may have to catch up another time. Seems there is a matter I must attend to." Azumi said, folding the letter in her pocket as she prepared to set out once she had locked up the door to her apartment.

"I've felt worse during my old man's training session, so I'd say I'm in decent condition."Mori climbed out of the mud as he heard his clone explode, disappointment seeping through his skin as his plan had failed. "Welp, you can't win them all. I'm pretty sure that all that glass swirling around will cut us to shreds, so how about we get some armor before we give him more ammunition? Earth Style: Rock Armor!" The rocks that were used for the Rock Push jutsu flew towards Mori, covering him in rocks whilst dumping the rest in front of Tomiko for her own usage.

"Get bent, you creepy mime! Earth Style: Earth Flow River!" The mud underneath Bobo's feet began flowing towards Mori and Tomiko, giving him less time to dodge the assault of rocks sent flying his way by the female genin. Whilst he couldn't fully see Bobo, probably because of that genjutsu of his, the swirling storm of glass gave him a pretty decent idea of where the mime was. "Heads up Tomiko! Earth Style: Rock Push Jutsu!" A large rock pillar was erected from the ground, though it was not going to be standing for long as the base had a chunk missing. Unable to handle its own weight, the pillar toppled and fell towards Bobo in an attempt to crush him.

-----------

"Sounds sensible to me, Aisha is the best tracker among the three of us and has presumably good teamwork with Luna and Sky. I'm not too caught up on clans outside of Kumo and I don't know if she had any formal training in the clan techniques, but wolves in a pack are a force to be reckoned with no matter what. She has my vote." Taji agreed with her comrade's plan, nodding in agreement before folding her fingers in the ram sign. "I'm going to check for any potential roadblocks, though that will make me unable to quickly react with jutsu. In case I need to spell it out, cover me." The kunoichi closed her eyes and kneaded her chakra to so-called 'sensory mode' as she surveyed the nearby area.

"I'm sensing two faint chakra signatures, they're on the edge of my sensing area. They aren't moving, but they could very well be with more than just two and waiting to set out. I say we move now to avoid getting caught off guard by them and potential allies." Breaking the seal and opening her eyes, Taji turned to the Kusa-nin she captured. "You, can you walk? If not, we're going to have to carry you. If you even attempt to run or fight, do know that you're outnumbered, my bow has yet to miss a human target and there are two wolves that might not listen to their partner should they see running prey. A simple nod or shake of the head is enough to inform me. The same goes for you, Konoha-nin. We'll try our best to keep you from harm's way, should we encounter hostiles. I expect that you two will behave and not run into the battle yourselves. You know how we're going to treat you, you don't know that about other hunters. You're caught either way, so behave and we don't have to get mad. Understood?"

Huh, so Mori has a set to. Wonder if it functions similar to the Terra Armor?

Tomiko had that brief though before she was supplied with fresh ammo as she grinned in response. "Thanks Mori, appreciate it~" Tomiko said, as she battered the rock with gauntlet strikes easily breaking the stone with solid shots as she fired more projectiles around them aiming again for a wide-range attack. Had to balance effectiveness with chakra conversion so this rather rudimentary "rock gun" using her own Taijutsu seemed to serve her well to this point.

Though naturally, if this was some illusion, they needed a way out of it and regroup with the others. Perhaps it had a range of limited usage? Or maybe she'd get lucky and hit the real Bobo to break it. Either way she kept close to Mori as she kept up her strikes but also kept her eyes, senses and guard up; cause at this point with this guy she needed to be prepared for anything.

----------
The two bound and gagged ninja merely grumbled behind their bindings as they had no way to verbally communicate much to the group once Taji had reported her findings to everyone, though before they had a say in the decision Luna & Sky decided to take matters into their own hands as they each picked up one of the restrained ninja over the shoulder and carried them with little signs of irritation at the task as they nodded to the group and Kenji chuckled.

"Seems you got your answer Taji. In any event if we do have guests coming I'd rather not face them with the proverbial pants are down, so let's move." Kenji said, and with that he and AIsha set out having Luna & Sky between them as they motioned for Taji to follow and set out to find the exit.

Taji shrugged as a small smile showed itself. "That works too. Kenji, I wouldn't want to face anyone with the pants down, metaphorically or not. That's nasty, though it might just be some lingo I am not caught up on. We can discuss that later, the sooner we get out of here the better." Shaking her head, Taji set out to follow her group before turning to their prisoners again. "They don't bite, or atleast they shouldn't without being provoked. Once you're out, you can take a shower and get that wound looked at. It could very easily get infected in this swamp, far from sterile. The bandage I made should be enough for you to stay clean though, as long as you don't try to escape." Informing the captured and gagged ninja, she wiped her brow clear from the rain and furrowed it to concentrate her vision. "No exit yet, but it can't take longer than fifteen minutes. We weren't that deep into the swamp."

---------

"You're welcome, see it as a second Christmas gift to survive or something. Need some help?" Mori quipped as the broken off base of the falling pillar crumbled into rocks. "It can't be that hard to launch rocks at people, after all you do it all the time." Picking a decently sized rock up, Mori tossed it into the air before kicking it at Bobo. "Booyah! Never been one for ball games, but I can totally get used to this. Not half-bad dodging practice either, maybe something to keep in mind for back home?" The genin quipped as he imagined Tomiko having to dodge a horizontal avalanche of boulders for training and giggled.

The Bobo clones were thrust aside by Madoka’s burst of wind, the the weapons involved phasing through most of them but striking others, creating even more obstacles for her! They were sent several hundreds of feet away. As they came to their senses, they snapped back to the puppet user, looking at her fingers. That’s when they had an idea. They would hurl themselves at her hands, aiming to splice and spike them with the glass shards to prevent her from using her puppet when they got in range.

Since Bobo’s position was greatly masked by it’s illusion field, Tomiko’s bullet just was aimed all around him. So they would only have to counter moves directly attacking them. Bobo’s split two cubes into shards, sending the shards on paths to collide with the rapid fire pebbles. Small dust explosions happened as the projectiles collided with each other, Bobo accurately countering them blow for blow.

While they were focused on this, he noticed a shadow starting to creep over him. Turning it’s head to see what was the matter, it was met with a large rock pillar, crashing down toward it. Bobo put his arms in front of itself, reflective cubes coming in the way of the pillar.

*CRASH!*

A plume of dirt and dust was kicked up from the landing pillar, the disruption after it hit bobo caused the illusion field around the site to shake. As the dust cleared, Bobo stood several feet away from the crash site...his clothes tattered and a large crack on his face.

the spidery crack resembled that of a porcelain doll that was mistreated. One of it’s eyes had lost all of it’s color and had turned black whilst his small smile had stretched unnaturally...nearly taking up all the real estate of the lower section of his face ear to ear.

“ : ] “

Bobo reached in it’s pocket, pulling out what appeared to be a rose made of glass. The mime let it fly into the air, the rose beginning to bloom. Suddenly, the petals began to expand, changing shape into flat objects. The objects stretched and contorted, becoming mirrors that implanted themselves into the ground.

They acted like a house of mirrors around the two genin, seeing endless rows of themselves. It was like they were in a carnival attraction! Laughs were heard echoing down the halls. Three images of Bobo appeared on the mirrors, doing the exact same movements. Meanwhile Bobo would sneak behind Mori, striking with glass shards arranged like brass knuckles, concealed by the illusion he kept up.

Taiyo
The fiery shinobi scratched his head at Furījia's explanation. As far as Taiyo knew, writing was never held up to a standard of beauty, but rather legibility. As the FBS master was about to ask for a demonstration, the Hyūga didn't let him get the words out before she began to write in the ground. It didn't take long for her to finish, but when she stepped back to reveal her handiwork, all that the fiery shinobi was an decent writing of the heiress's surname etched in the mud. Though it wasn't much to look at, was still interested in learning calligraphy, preferably on a sheet of paper as opposed to a plot of mud. His observation of Furījia's handiwork was interrupted by the heiress announcing her intention to help a random Konoha shinobi that she noticed in the distance. Noticing the determination in her gaze before setting out, Taiyo considered if he wanted to join her.

Eh, I see no benefit to doing so. But the decision is yours.

Might as well. I don't have much else to do, and it wouldn't be in my best interest to fend for myself when I could stick with my partner. Besides, the shinobi we save may repay our kindness in the future.

"Alright, let's go," Taiyo replied eagerly, stretching his wooden arms in the process, "Lead the way."
Seiun
At first, Seiun didn't care for what B.O.S.E.C had to say. Despite listening, the rogue shinobi was confident that he could come up with a retort to anything that he had to bring to the table. Unfortunately for him, there was nothing to retort and not from a lack of trying on Seiun's part. Despite this, the former Ame-nin still felt that he had a point to make to the construct.

Since we're being frank here, I'll just cut to the chase. While you were an integral part of my emancipation and you know what's best for me, there are just some decisions that I need to make for myself. I get that you probably wanted to help me talk to my brother and admittedly, maybe I wouldn't be here if I had tried things your way. However, any response from you wouldn't make for a genuine apology from me, and therefore it wouldn't've been convincing. Disregarding that, I can tell that I've made you feel unappreciated as of late, and I apologise for that. I don't wanna take my supporters for granted.

Mori looked at the mirrors around him, biting his cheek as he took it all in. "Welp, that's probably the biggest sign we're gonna get about it being a gen-ahh!" The genin stumbled forward, two glass shards stabbed in his lower back. They weren't in deep, the armor preventing any organ damage. "Ow, ffffffffump." He censored himself as he once again looked at the mirrors, seeing his injuries. "This stuff better not be poisoned, and I just know this creep's gonna use this stuff to mess with us. Tomiko, get ready to dig as this place is going to blow!" Grabbing a handful of explosive tags, he divided them evenly across four kunai, lit them and threw them at the mirrors. Glass was generally pretty fragile, and explosions were a nice way to save chakra as Bobo would use more and more of his reserves. "Earth Style: Hiding like a mole!" Unwilling to test the durability of his pierced armor in the face of explosions, Mori dug into the ground to avoid the blast.

"Alright I was joking about Absurd before but seriously is he some sick love child of his..." Tomiko muttered, as it seemed she missed the real Bobo in this fog of an illusion and now some circus mirrors were set up with their own personal Bobo inside of it. This whole thing had began to give her a headache but it seemed they were going nowhere fast.

Mori however, seemed to have an explosive solution which she could respect as she nodded and quickly dug underground as she aimed to get down and away from the soon to be detonated site.

Tsuki
Eventually, the Yuki-nin's target slowed to a stop, noticing that Tsuki was still obscured from his vision. The Suna-nin seemed to take some time to ruminate on his next move, allowing the icy kunoichi a chance to make a decisive blow. Leaping from the tree that concealed her previously, she drew more moisture from the ground to create an omni directional assault of ice needles, landing behind Aku to obscure herself longer. As before, Aku sliced through most of the needles, but as he was dealing with the needles, water began travelling up his legs. Aku fled to get rid of the water , but in the process he exposed himself to being ensnared by more of the needles. It didn't take long for Tsuki to have her target ensnared, leaving her free to carry him to the goal and pass this exam. As she went to pick Aku up, the Yuki-nin noticed that he was struggling in hopes of somehow freeing himself. Shaking her head with disappointment, she grabbed the thief and began to make her way to the exit of the forest.

Furījia

"They're on the move, let's go."

The heiress punctuated her statement with action; she folder her spear and tucked it into her sash. After removing her gloves, she slid her finger across the blade of her spear, and begun to weave hand-seals. Lurching into a sprint, she performed a light hop and pressed her hand to the air beneath her.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

She burst from the resulting smoke of the Jutsu, already mounted on her summon.

"I'll go ahead, you back me up. If we don't need to fight then we won't; but, if we come to blows they'll focus on me and leave themselves open to you."

The blasts from the explosive tagged kunai rocked the hall of mirrors. The mirrors came crashing down, a the explosive ripping a sizable hole in the illusion field Bobo had created. It seemed as though he didn’t repair it with the genjustu from the glass breaking. He was conserving.

As it appeared they were safe, that’s when Bobo would try to grab Tomiko’s ankle. He had chased after them in their own mole tunnel! Still reading his glass brass knuckles, he’d attempt to bloody her feet and lower legs with multiple blunt strikes from it.

Taiyo
The fiery shinobi tightened his focus as he heard that their targets were on the move, making the needed preparations for combat. As Taiyo was refilling his left arm's stock of kunai, he noticed that Furījia had mounted her summon and gave him orders to back her up and look for openings in their targets' offense should they come to blows with one another. He nodded quickly, finished restocking his arm and proceeded to follow behind the Hyūga at a medium distance.
Seiun
I guess I can't argue with that. I trust that you'll adhere to your terms as I adhere to mine.

Though a part of Seiun's decision was based in genuine agreement with B.O.S.E.C, his primary motivator was to allow their mutually beneficial relationship to stay mutually beneficial. If that meant he had to adhere to the construct's advice at every point he offered it despite his contrasting judgement, then the rogue shinobi was willing to make that sacrifice in order to keep the A.I on his side.

Now that we got that under control, we should make plans for my test from the priest. What are your thoughts on that matter, B.O.S.E.C?

"AGH!"

Tomiko cried out in pain, as she felt something grasp at her leg and while she managed to get one of her gauntlets down to partially block the blow it still landed a solid deflected blow on her leg which caused the Iwa Genin to cry out in agony. However, pain was something Tomiko had always been able to endure and with the same motion she blocked partially the brass knuckles shot she aimed to grab that wrist as she turned down with a pained but almost sinister grin on her face.

"Found you." Tomiko said, as she knew one thing about Genjutsu; the illusion itself couldn't hurt you, but what was in it could. And if she had felt pain, whatever Genjutsu or whatever trick he had used meant he really had been here. And now she had a chance to get even.

With a thunderous strike, she aimed to punch Bobo straight in the chest with a gauntlet-filled fist; and follow it up with a volley of blows with her free arm as she worked to hold that wrist of his tight with the other.

The entity’s crescent smile grew wide as Seiun accepted the terms to the agreement, a line of coding flickering on it’s hands as it wrote this to memory.

“....!”

Bobo’s wide smile was accompanied by widening eyes as Tomiko counter attacked. Several blows were deliver to it’s chest, the sounds of shattering pottery heard as it’s arm Tomiko was holding onto was severed from it’s body. Bobo was sent out the hole he chased them into, the genjustu fading back into reality. Several previously invisible cubes fell to the ground, shattering as if their durability had returned to a glass like state. The clones appearing to dissapear, leaving the glass shards inside of their bodies to fall to the ground.

*WHAM!*

He hit back first into a tree, the lost portion of his left side of his face had fallen off, the mime slumping over, leaning on the tree. It appeared to have a hollow body, with the inside portion of it’s head covered in kanji and details writings.

There we a large seal on the back of it’s head. One symbol that appeared to be a rose, one portion grey and the other red.

“Keh-Keh-Keh-Keh-Keh-Keh-Keh-Keh-K-“

The mime began to speak some kind of mechanical nonsense as the symbol on the back of it’s head appeared to have suffered a crack.

Sagisō

"Leaving so soon?"

Azumi seemed a great deal busier than Sagisō had expected. Perhaps it was because she'd been the only shinobi from the Rain to distinguish themselves since Hanzō the Salamander or maybe the rain was simply understaffed and even their chunin had to carry their own weight. Whatever the cause was, its result was that her friend was once more on the move; and, from the way she'd worded things, Sagisō could tell that a tag-along wouldn't be appreciated. With all that in mind, Sagisō smiled and nodded.

"I haven't gotten the chance to explore the village yet, so I'll find you again later. See ya~!"

The virago was gone before the sound of voice had even faded, her silhouette vanishing off the roofs of the metallic skyscrapers—a unique architecture among the shinobi villages.

Amari

The fight between the group of four and the weird mime-child finally concluded when the latter was blown away, seeming to shatter like a puppet rather than a human. Regardless of the inhumane nature of the thing, what really mattered was that...

Now's my chance!

Lurching from her hiding spot with all the speed she could muster, the Solitary Star begun weaving hand seals.

"Nadeshiko Style: White Jasmine Flame second variation!"

Amari spat out a volley of fiery flower petals, which swirled through the air, swiftly aiming to surround and lock down Bobo. Evidently, her aim was Bobo himself, rather than the group and the addition of a smoke bomb allowed her to delve into the fray in relative safety. She kept her wits about her using her heightened senses, going straight for Bobo while keeping an eye on the other team. Hopefully they wouldn't stop her, but she could never be too careful.

"I would say we discuss it later but I feel it might be a topic saved for a couple years..." Kenji mused, though seemed in high spirits as the group moved through the swamp at a rather consistent pace; indeed they had no clear sign of where the exit was, but they knew they had to be close based off Taji's account as Aisha felt it was best to simply backtrack their path to save the most time. Things seemed to be going well for them as while they missed a target for AIsha to this point the two thieves offered light struggles at worse in their bindings and they seemed to be home free.

However, Aisha took a sniff. The conditions had not been the kindest to her nose, but her sense was sharp enough to know when something approached her as both the clones seemed to growl lightly as they seemed to perk up as well. "Hate to bring bad news but I suspect we're being tailed. " Aisha said as whatever approached them was distant, but gaining quickly as they seemed to move with a rapid pace.

"Well, isn't that just great. Think we can outrun them?" Kenji asked as they picked up the pace with the clones keeping between the trio as Aisha sniffed once more.

"Unless the exit comes up soon, doubtful." Aisha muttered as they moved on with Kenji already scouting the area around them prepared to map it in his mind if a fight had been coming.

"Taji, be ready. Either to bolt for an exit if seen. Or to scrap, if forced to." Kenji replied as they moved quick as they could but also kept their guard up for what Aisha sensed came for them.

-----
Zino, naturally, would keep his distance as he used his Byakugan to keep both Furijia and Taiyo within line of sight as he followed using the cover of the foliage to his advantage. Much as he'd rather avoid a fight with his fellow Hyuga, he had desire to move beyond this exam so he'd be prepared to do what he must.

But, perhaps he'd swing a captive of whoever they chased. If the situation played out generously enough for him to seize the moment.

----------
"HELL YEAH!"

Tomiko cried out in victory, her tone mixed in a pinch of pain from the brass knuckle glance shot to her leg as she emerged from the ground. With a swift motion she wrapped it with a bit of her sleeve to cover the minor cut of the skin as she otherwise seemed relieved that the freaky mime though somehow even in that state of seemingly defeat he remained evern creepier which sent shivers as she kept a cautious distance but looked him over.

Madoka, as she noticed those annoying Bobos having faded around her and the cubes crash down glanced as the Genjutsu seemed to fade. Had Mori and Tomiko managed to subdue the real Bobo? Madoka would glide down, cautiously, to ground level as she moved by Tomiko and saw the seemingly beaten Bobo.

Before any of them had a chance to discuss what to do next, Amari seemed to appear out of thin air as a smoke bomb worked to mask an escape and before they knew it Bobo was gone having been the sought after item of the ninja. Madoka course had Raven on defense as she scanned around in case more came, while Tomiko had a dumbfounded look on her face as she blinked over what had just transpired.

"The hell?"

----------
Azumi cursed as it seemed for a moment Sagiso would insist on tagging along. Not that she complained about being around Sagiso in most contexts, she was one of the few she actually had been happy to spend time with, but this case as it related to the Church and well her "special" group she'd rather keep that on need to know basis.

Thankfully, it seemed Sagiso respected her desire for privacy on this matter and left, as Azumi sighed in relief. With that, she departed towards where she had been called towards.

Amari

The Virago was swift to depart with her successful(?) stolen quarry. It didn't seem like the other team had any intention of pursuing her, so her next plan was to find a location where she could search the body for its intel. Once she had that, she would make a B-line for the arena's exit. No need to stay any longer than absolutely needed. Fortunately, with the hole her opponents had blown in her 'prey's skull, the intel she needed was easily seen and obtained.

However, unwilling to get eliminated for a 'kill' she didn't commit, Amari promptly and randomly ditched the body.

Furījia

The group was on the move, and Furījia kept a steady pursuit. She wasn't sure if they knew where they were going, but she figured on her mount she could close the gap in a matter of minutes and that was precisely what she intended to do. Furījia intend to keep a steady pursuit until she caught up to the group and could confront them.

"Alright, good job Tomiko! I knew you'd kick some butt today!" Mori popped out of the ground next to his friend, patting her on the shoulder in approval before grunting as he yanked the glass shards out of his back that Bobo put inside of him. "Hrm, that's better. Finally that creepy kid is down, good job everyone!" The feeling of victory was not destined to last though, as someone or something took Bobo's body after dropping a smoke bomb. "You can say that again, what was that?!" The teenager's voice cracked, causing a light blush to appear on his cheeks. "I say we get outta here as fast as possible, I don't want to run the risk of that being a partner of that mime."

-----------

"I'm going to assume that it has to do with those books of yours judging by the contents, so it can't be anything good." Taji shook her head with a chuckle, though it died soon after with the message of Aisha. "Figures. It would be wishful thinking to hope that this would go smoothly." Grabbing her bow from her back, she prepared an arrow to get shot in advance as she kept moving. "The gate is nearby, I recognize this area. I'd say it is about 100 metres (300 feet) at most. Let's move it people, don't want to get caught near the exit with two thieves. The less fights, the better."

Furījia

The heiress peered ahead with the Byakugan, spotting the exit only a few hundred meters ahead of her targets. She tch-ed with irritation; but, she knew that if she didn't drastically increase the pace, the group would escape.

Furījia flattened herself against Waule's back and squeezed with her heels. The bird sped up in response, moving from marathon-running speed to a full-blown sprint; but, as the duo picked up speed, Furījia began to galvanize her chakra and push it towards Waule. The result was that whisper-thin worms of electricity jumped between summon and master, chakra being exchanged and compounding as they synchronized their chakra pools. Amplified by the power of two pools of chakra, their speed increased even further.

Finger-sized snakes of lightning jumped between skin and feather; they illuminated the swamp around them with light and deafening sound; like a bolt of sky-traversing lightning, the rumble of thunder followed in their wake.

Within a manner of seconds Furījia could see the group, still some distance ahead, but they were close enough. Her lungs filled with the crisp air of the swamp and she bellowed with the most authoritative voice she could muster.

"STOP!"

"I wish I could take pride in this, but at this point if I never see another clown, mime or whatever again it won't be soon enough..." Tomiko said with a shudder as indeed between Absurd and this guy she felt as if their group became a magnet for the most crazed type of opponent as she hoped the rest of the exam offered something a touch more normal. Madoka seemed to agree enough with Mori as she folded up Raven wrapping it behind her back as she scouted ahead and moved in the opposite direction of Bobo and the departed hunter.

"Indeed, cannot linger in one spot for long after such a scene. Let's move." Madoka told Tomiko, Mori & Yasu as Tomiko followed as they aimed to find a new location to rest and hopefully remain out of the spotlight least for the near future.

----------
And moved fast they did, making way fast as they could as they tried to close upon that presumed gap as they moved closer and closer to the exit. It got to the point where Kenji could just see it ahead...

"STOP!"
Course, their luck ran dry as a thunderous boom momentarily startled Luna & Sky as a voice shouted at them as Kenji felt he had heard this before. And sure enough as they glanced behind them upon a summon stood Furijia as she stared the group down while Aisha seemed to glance at her with a tense expression. The Kusa and Konoha nin on Luna & Sky's shoulders squirmed as the clones held them in place but kept their eyes peeled on the Hyuga. Tension in the air as they tried to keep closer to the exit than the enemy but refused to leave their back exposed to them.

"Ah Furijia. Wondering if we'd cross paths here. Seems you realized the importance of a good entrance."

Tension that was shattered by Kenji's rather casual greeting as he smiled her way, having a soft spot for the Hyuga given their experience in that labyrinth back in Konoha. Outside of their immediate area Zino kept himself out of sight as he observed the scene; as he noted that Furijia even when Taiyo arrived would be outnumbered 3 to 2 even if one discounted the Aisha clones.

The Kumo male, Kenji if he had not been mistaken, spoke up as he seemed a bit loose given the circumstances. Either he had been confident or was a fool, and Zino had not been prepared to discount a combination. Though more curiously was the strange almost cuff-like chakra "binding" his wrists together his Byakugan had made him all too familiar with. Whatever it was eluded him but for now he waited to see how this scene would play out.

As Sakura sat in her position, she felt this air of uncertainty creep over her even as she tried and managed to for the most part keep a cooler head. While she had failed to notice anyone, she could not shake this feeling that she had someone or something peering at her as the pink-haired kunoichi tried to scout from her hidden position higher in the tree.

As she did, while she saw no traces of footsteps, she had noticed something. A dark sliver which seemed to move along the swamp below her. As she focused, she made out what it was as it seemed to be a shadow which moved on its own; a telltale sign that a Nara had been nearby.

Sakura began to think of a strategy, though as she had, she seemed oblivious to a second shadow which moved up the tree she was on and threatened to sneak behind her...

Furījia

The bird and rider slowed to a stop at medium distance from the group. Their chakra was still active, causing small jumps of lightning to arc off them every now and again; but, they were no longer broadcasting their presence to everyone in the vicinity.

Her first reaction on finally catching up to the group was to frown at Kenji. His words, though friendly had directly undermined the intimidation factor of her entrance. She'd seen enough power-play at mother's side enough times to notice when another person was subtly utilizing their words to control the atmosphere. The Kumo-nin was slyer than she thought. Perhaps he was always sly though, she didn't recall that much of their last meeting.

The Heiress nodded in acknowledgement of Kenji. She didn't speak yet. She was still nervous and stuttering now would thoroughly shatter any clout she'd gained on first-impression alone; instead, she steadied her breathing and pressed her fingers into the plush of Kwaule's fur. Adopting a judgmental expression, Furījia glossed over the party, assessing them and silently letting the tension rise. Their nature affinities were laid bare before her Byakugan, and after assessing them all, she finally spoke.

"Release him," she gestured to the Konoha-in, "you can take his intel, but there's no need to truss him up like that."

"Remind me to not take you to a travelling circus then, or else you'll punch the clowns into smithereens and I'm not sure if I want to pay bail if you are arrested for assault." Mori quipped as he followed the other members of the group. "So what did we learn from that guy, aside from the fact that Tomiko has developed a hatred of clowns and mimes? He used some kind of glass jutsu, along with genjutsu inflicted by psychedelic colors? That's a first for me, maybe it's based off of Earth Style? Glass is just sand that got superheated and refined, no?" The genin wasn't sure if he'd ever run into Bobo again, but it never hurt to be prepared, right?

----------

Taji looked at the newcomer and immediately recognized her as a member of the Hyuga clan, there was a chance that she still harbored a grudge against Kumo after their attempt to kidnap one of them. "Aisha, be ready to fight should it get nasty. I assume you are okay with fighting Konoha-nin?" She whispered to her friend before speaking up. "Why do you care? If you're a hunter, you wouldn't let us get away with intel. As a thief, it is survival of the fittest. Even if we listen to you, he's still out and his friend is still trussed up. Is he not as important because he is not from one of the Great Five? He got captured just as easily as this Konoha-nin, so what gives?" As she spoke, the Kumo-kunoichi was thinking about which jutsu would work best for an escape. A direct fight was not preferable, all they had to do was delay this Hyuga brat.

"Course, doesn't make a difference to me." Aisha replied to Taji, as she seemed to have a grin that almost marked excitement at the prospect as Kenji seemed to get the idea tensions remained strong even after efforts to cool it off; with Taji having a spirited rebuff to Furijia's request as he made a gesture to Taji to keep it down for now as he figured there should least be an attempt to resolve this peacefully before the fists had a chance to fly.

"Now now now let's try and keep civil about it. A modest proposal of yours to be sure, but I do have to ask as Taji implied dragging this guy out of here would only benefit you if you were a hunter or a thief. So what benefit to you would it be for him to remain in the swamp as it were?" Kenji asked Furijia, with a bit more restraint than Taji as he seemed curious over her motive & intent beyond anything else. The Kusa-nin naturally had been just a touch annoyed he seemed disregarded in these talks but a shake from Sky quelled him quickly enough as the group waited for Furijia to answer.

Furījia

"I don't know how it is in your villages, but the Hyūga look out for our own."

The idiosyncrasies of the great villages were well-known to the Hyūga heiress; the—since discontinued—practices of the bloody mist; the unwavering will of stone; and her own Clan's caged bird seal and the tragedy of the White Fang. The villages' rules were fundamentally designed to harden shinobi into merciless killers; besides, mindlessly following rules was hardly one of a leader's qualities. On this topic, she was not her mother's daughter and, that was one of the few instances where that was fine.

Regardless, Furījia tilted her head down, revealing the golden insignia of the Hyūga clan, glistening in the limelight of thunder.

"This is my noblesse oblige."

Taiyo
At last, the duo arrived at their intended destination. Now that Taiyo had a closer look at the situation, he could understand the origin of Furījia's frustration. Not only was the Konoha-nin compromised but his dignity was being insulted thanks to how he had been roughed up prior. Unlike his partner, the fiery shinobi didn't feel a nationalistic obligation to help a person he barely knew, but he was there to help nonetheless. As the heiress negotiated with the team of hunters, Taiyo crouched behind Kwaule to conceal himself and allow him to ambush his targets in the event that a fight broke out.

So, what's the plan? How do you plan on kicking their asses today?

Personally, I'd rather resolve this issue without coming to blows since it'd just be a waste of all our time, but if that happens, I'm revealing myself and going in guns blazing. I won't be using FBS though, I'll save it for later.
Tsuki
With so many shinobi wrapped up in their own conflicts, Tsuki managed to sneak her way to the exit with the thief she caught in tow. As she reached the exit, she was stopped by Satoshi, the exams proctor. From the looks of it, he seemed to have set up a lawn chair and drink set up, making himself comfortable during the hours he'd have to wait for a shinobi to approach the exit to pass.

"Did you secure the intel?" Satoshi asked as he put down his magazine and went to examine Tsuki's efforts at capturing Aku, "While you trapped him well, all that really matters here is the intel." Since he was ensnared and frozen from the legs down, it was easier for Tsuki to search her target. It didn't take long for her to find the intel hidden in his pocket, which was a small sheet of paper kept inside a vial. Once that was presented, Satoshi gave a small approving nod.

"Feel free to take the load off, there's nothing else here for you" Satoshi advised to Tsuki as he got back into his lawn chair, took a sip from his drink, and resumed reading his magazine. With some hesitation, Tsuki walked out of the swamp with barely tempered excitement.

I can't believe I passed! I just need to perform well in the final exam and I'll get promoted.

Zino from his hidden tree a little but not too far from their area had been able to scout the entire development; from Taiyo hiding himself for a presumed ambush to the negotiations between Furijia and the Kumo-ninja which seemed to threaten both to go without incident and also escalation depending on which sides between the two girls who seemed more aggressive and the boy who seemed to be the diplomat on the other side.

Kenji listened to the words spoken by Furijia, which seemed to cement with that concept that Aisha had once heard stories about from the village of the leaves; this abstract idea she heard known as "The Will of Fire". Neither she nor Kenji had much idea of that if he had been asked but it seemed to show to Aisha that the Leaf tended to have a greater desire to protect their own circumstances be damned than most villages. Kenji thought that this was a touch extreme for an exam but he milled over her words as she seemed to mean that much to her so he figured it was not just smoke.

"Well for one thing, your words might mean more if you didn't have someone in waiting for an ambush. Hard to build trust that way you know."

Aisha's comment sparked an eyebrow raise as she picked up the sent of someone who was out of view but even in the worst conditions trusted it to not mislead her as it seemed somebody was on hand with Furijia. Kenji put this into consideration before he began to search the Konoha-nin held by Sky as the Kusa-nin frowned a bit. This day just kept getting better and he had been reduced to an afterthought to his own partner.

"So, so long as we dump this body we're free to leave with the info no protests? Even from this buddy of yours." Kenji asked, as he sought to reaffirm Furijia had intended to honor those words as he slipped the vile with the info into his pouch while the group faced her.

Furījia

"I haven't attacked you; that's proof enough of my good intentions."

Furījia took a page from her mother's book and presented a dubious point with finality. She brokered no more room for discussion. They might've been stalling for time; delaying her so they could escape with a well-used technique. The heiress knew to be wary of underhanded tricks and she was careful to watch the flow of their chakra. No jutsu or item, no matter how subtly utilized, would escape her notice.

"My allies are there to ensure my safety. I wouldn't have presented myself at such a numerical disadvantage otherwise. We don't want to fight, but we will if you're uncooperative. Release the captive and we'll have no more reason to bother you."

Taji stepped back as Kenji decided to take the front seat and lead the discussion. She wasn't sure as to why the Hyuga even bothered saving the Konoha-nin, after all the Chunin Exams were meant to weed out the weak and help the strong grow, but she was not going to waste precious time and energy on trying to understand the mentality of a member of a noble clan that quite possibly and reasonably hates their guts. Kneeling down close to the Kusa-nin, she muttered something along the lines of playing favorites before sensing the surroundings again. The mention of allies made her suspicious and she did sense multiple signatures after all before they left. There were two other chakra signatures nearby, one was similar to the girl in front of them. "Kenji, I sense two potential hostiles nearby. One has a chakra signature similar to her, it's safe to assume that this one person is Hyuga and with the girl. I don't know about the other one, they could very well be lying in wait. Stay sharp everyone, there's a 50/50 chance that we're dealing with a scavenger." The Kumo-kunoichi informed her teammates as she kept her hands on her bow. Whilst not willing to start an attack, only a fool would not be prepared to fight back.

Zino naturally was less than thrilled when he had been spotted even in a vague sense by Taji as it seemed this Kumo group had a couple of scouts in their party which likely had tied to their early success to this point. But much like Furijia he kept from an aggressive presence as he knew Furijia was aware he had been around but had no intention to make an enemy if he could avoid it.

For now, he'd simply observed from his own "hidden" view a bit more distant than Taiyo as he waited to see this unfold.

Aisha seemed to confirm Taji's report as she sniffed picking up another trace a little further but still relative close to their area as she merely nodded in affirmation as Kenji pondered it over. Realistically just dumping the body if she had been true to their word would net them a loss of nothing as they'd still have the info for two of them to pass. And Kenji believed Furijia had been honest behind her words, having gained a degree of trust from their experience in Konoha those months ago and how she seemed to hold such traits close to her chest.

Course, in this career, trust was a one way ticket to disaster if one had been careless about it.

Regardless, with the presence of Furijia's aid and what seemed to be a mystery tag along Kenji figured a full blown fight even on the off chance they might get another piece of info for Aisha. There simply had been too many wildcards at play and a big fight would only attract more unwanted attnetion and risk them losing all they had gained as it were. He would pass a message to keep guard subtly to Taji and Aisha as he would take the body of the Konoha-nin who struggled in gagged grunts all the while before he "gently" tossed his body forward closer to Furijia.

"Consider him yours. If you two end up hitting it off you can thank me later." Kenji said, as he was unable to resist a little joke but with the info in his possession the body was proverbial dead weight and with the Kusa-nin still in possession they had all they needed for the moment though would wait to see them off before he made a move.

That Kusa-nin of course had stopped struggling, and with an eternal scowl he contemplated all his life choices that led him to this situation unsure of when his path had fallen this low.

Furījia

"You have my gratitude."

With the most important matters settled, Furījia watched as the Kumo-group departed. Once they had vanished behind the tree-line, the girl dismounted and gave a small nod to the released Konoha-nin.

"Good luck." Words of encouragement were all she offered. She was here to give him a second chance at passing, not to babysit him to the next round.

Speaking of the next round, the heiress noted that, seeing as the exit was so close, it would be ideal to set up a new camp right here. Withdrawing paper bombs, smoke-bombs, flash-bangs, kunai, shuriken, and steel wiring from her ninja-pouch, Furījia once again set about booby-trapping her temporary base. She buried paper bombs in the mud and rigged kunai to snared trip-wires hidden in the shrubbery. Flashbangs were perched between tree branches and smoke bombs hidden in tree hollows. She applied liberal amounts of wire to everything, not quite connecting them, but leaving wire edges accessibly, but carefully hidden. When she'd finished she'd exhausted almost everything she carried. She was left with only the basics: a few kunai and a handful of shuriken.

Kai had been busy scanning the parameter. The footprints he’s been analyzing in the mud and grime of the swamp floor seemed to point to many of the thieves in more numbers than anticipated. He had faith in his abilities as a hunter nin, but he was no fool. He wouldn’t simply charge on in to a disadvantage. He might need assistance with this matter.

He crystallized some moisture from swamp, turning it into a crystal talisman, emblazoned with the Yuki family crest. Bringing it up to the air, he flicked it with his fingers, making a satisfying *ding* on the crystal. The crystal flipped over and over in the air, flying into a nearby pond. It would sink to the lower reaches of the pond. If a certain Hozuki was there, then he’d make sure to get their attention.

Taiyo
As Taiyo emerged from behind K'waule, he noticed two things about his partner's situation: that she managed to successfully negotiate with the Hunter team and that she had also booby trapped the area that seemed to be ideal for setting up camp for the night. He nodded slowly with approval as he examined Furījia's thorough work in safety proofing the area.

"This looks pretty good, and I'm glad that you managed to successfully manage a negotiation," Taiyo grinned as he approached Furījia to talk more closely, "What can I do to be of use right now? I'm no good at setting up traps, but if you need a lookout I'd be happy to pitch in." Although he didn't present anything of the sorts, Taiyo was a little concerned with his lack of participation within their partnership, as the heiress had done most of the heavy lifting up to this point.

You know, I think I just realized something...

Lemme guess, Furījia's more competent than you thought she was.

Yeah...

Well your lack of competence and agency would bring that to light, so I understand this sudden revelation for you.
Seiun
As the recent common trend had followed through, Seiun was able to follow B.O.S.E.C's logic in his summation about his situation while being discontented with the constructs perspective. Despite that, the rogue shinobi chose to focus on what the A.I had to bring to the table when suggesting how he ought to deal with the Amegakure tester.

So I just gotta present myself as important and accomplished? Yeah like that'll be easy, the only important thing about me is that I got disgraced from my noble family and my main accomplishments are escaping this place and escaping the Mist only to come back here. You got any way to embellish the truth in those regards?

Hyōryugetsu

Three appearances within six months: a multitude of casualties, the loss of two Jinchuriki, and even critical injury to the snake himself. The former Konoha-ninja and legendary Sannin had been driving his self-led power, Otogakure, incredibly hard. Their motive...?

"Makes no sense."

Grouchily, Hyō sulked at the bottom of a pond. With her were three comatose bodies. No dead, but clearly lost to the world. Their headbands differed, marking them from different nations; but, despite the national diversity, and the broadened perspective that it offered, Hyō couldn't piece the puzzle together.

The first attack could've been explained as a by-product of the Sannin's hatred for Konoha. It was a large and coordinated attack that left both parties nursing injuries. In fact, upon a closer inspection of the losses, the attack had been a sound victory for the sound. However, crippling the Yondaime Hokage didn't seem to satisfy the Snake's ambition. The second appearance a short three-months ago was tricky. The most logical explanation was 'they were after the eight tails', but then...why risk their own Jinchuriki in that engagement? No, even moving under the assumption that the Sound had been after Jinchuriki, they—after losing two of their own Jinchuriki—had attacked Konoha again...? Did they not care about the Jinchuriki they'd lost?

The situation baffled the Hōzuki; but, fortunately, the sound's odd motivations weren't something she needed to puzzle out. The black-cloaked individuals she was investigating were clearly after Jinchuriki and the Sound's neglection of three such potential prizes was indicative of different goals; and, with differing goals, the chance that the two groups were related had greatly diminished.

All-in-all, Hyō was quite satisfied with the results of her investigation and she didn't imagine she could glean anything more from sources available at the Chūnin exams. Her mother would need to be briefed before they could continue with further investigations; and, that meant—

"Time to lea—" *Plop*

Hyō's attention snapped to the chilling disturbance that'd entered her pond.

"Ice..?"

The Hōzuki closed her eyes, her senses reaching out towards the lump of her essence that Tsuki carried with her. The girl and the disembodied jelly-fish were quite some distance away, so that meant...

"Prince?"

The pond rippled, water-colors—in the most literal sense—painting a face on the water's surface as, below the pond, Hyō slowly melded into the water.

Furījia

"Uhh well, if you take the first lookout then I'll try to get some sleep. It'll be easier for me to watch at night with my Byakugan, so I should probably take the night-watch."

It was a simple and logical explanation. A text-book answer, really. Secure the area, establish a perimeter, organize the optimal division of labor. However, beyond the practicality of her suggestion, the heiress also wanted to rest. In spite of how well it had gone, the earlier negotiation had been trying on her nerves. Though emboldened by her success, the harrowing experience was enough for now.

“Prince?”

A wavy image resembling that of the hozuki mistress appeared on the surface of the pond. The Yuki nodded at the sight, his suspicions being confirmed that this was indeed her location. Seeing no harm in going to meet her, he decided to walk into the open.

“Hyorugetsu.” Kai greeted. “I’m sure it’s come of no surprise to you that this stage is coming to an end quickly. The Xenos are beginning to clump together like waste in a gutter. Breaking up these clumps wouldn’t be an easy task alone...but with two mist ninja? I’m sure they no group would last against our ingenuity. Does that sound amicable to you?”

He had no desire to fail this exam, especially not when the Yuki family name was on the line here. Failing before was one thing, because at least his foe had a semblance of mist blood within them. But here simply due to a time out? It was borderline heretical.

Taiyo
Nodding at the suggestion, Taiyo proceeded to make any preparations before he began his lookout. Once he established a basic perimeter and ensured the immediate area around then was secure, the fiery shinobi began taking a watch of the area to ensure the continued security of the main area. However, even though he was given something to do, the FBS master didn't feel satisfied and he knew he wasn't going to be until he addressed what he was thinking about.

"Hey Furījia?" Taiyo spoke up inquisitively, "Do you mind if I get something off my chest real quick?" Although he didn't turn to face the Hyūga, his voice was loud enough to be audible.

Seiun
Normally, Seiun would roll his eyes at B.O.S.E.C's blatant disapproval of how he decided to go about the path of redemption, but the rogue shinobi couldn't deny that his decision was somewhat impulsive. To compensate for the hasty decisions that led him to this point, Seiun deliberately ruminated on his options.

I'd like to get suggestions on what kind of story I should come up with first since making a plan based on the assumption that he'll believe everything I say is flawed and likely to fail. Feel free to dissent, we've got time to make this decision.
