Private/Closed Naruto AU: Roleplay

Kiro fell to his hands and knees as soon as Azumi dropped the technique. He breathed heavily as Azumi had started to walk away. Drops of blood and sweat fell from his face as he stared at the ground. Even if Kiro wanted to say something to Azumi, he couldn’t and instead did nothing as she walked away. That was fine with him though. Her mistake would be leaving him alive as it would only made him stronger. Next time, Kiro wouldn’t allow the same scenario to play out as it did here. Next time, Kiro would make sure Azumi would regret her decision.

Kiro half expected some medics to come over but unfortunately for him, he found himself to be under Sagisō’s attention. ‘Is she expecting me too thank her?’ The sage himself must’ve wanted Kiro to suffer if this was his punishment. Before he tried crawling away, Kiro listened to her question.

He would’ve chuckled at the question she asked but he didn’t feel like experiencing anymore unnecessary pain. He would not give Sagisō the opportunity to see him groveling in pain. Instead, he settled for a slight grin and shook his head. She seemed to have no mercy. Here he was, on the ground, still struggling to move. He could barely speak or even breath for that matter and Sagisō was still asking him a question.

The one word question seemed simple but in actuality, it was complex. There were so many different ways he could answer and yet Kiro couldn’t find the strength in himself to answer with even one. Atleast he couldn’t answer right now. As he slowly started to stand up, Kiro responded with a single word. “Later.” Kiro said lazily, choosing to save what was left of his voice. Sure, he was tired of all the questions but he didn’t want Sagisō to think he was going leave her hanging. So instead of simply avoiding the talk, he just delayed it. Kiro deactivated his sharingan before looking at Sagisō one more time. He found himself looking at the same eyes he had told Sagisō to watch him with. ‘What a disappointment I am.’ Mentally cursing his failure, Kiro looked away. Instead of wasting anymore time dwelling on the matter, he started to limp away, slowly walking past her towards the nearest exit.

As the steam cleared, the air bullet popped off, soaring through the air and on a course to intercept Katsuo's movements.
"Oh...shit!" He yelled, realizing he wasn't fast enough to pass up the attack in time.
"Don't break don't break don't break!" He yelled to himself repeatedly for an unknown reason as, unexpectedly, a large smoke cloud kicked up from his feet just as the bullet reached him, the outcome still unknown as both Katsuo and the bullet were envelope in the dusty cloud, the bullet becoming visible once again as it rocketed out the back of the smoke before dispersing far behind the arena.
"Yes...leg didn't break." Katsuo could be heard saying with a small chuckle as the dust cleared, revealing his left leg buried at least six inches into the ground, he'd completely stopped his moment instantaneously using his foot as an anchor, causing the ground around his foot to give way and crater in on impact.
"Well...would you look at that." He said in bit more of a sinister time than normal, wiping away the small trail if blood that trickled from the cut on his cheek.
"Finally got hurt, well its about time...." He added, rubbing the blood between his fingers for a moment, almost memorized by it.

Ichiko arose from her seat, a dark look in her eyes as Katsuo stared down at the blood from his wound, she gripped the railing so hard her hands left imprints in the steel.
"Don't do it Katsuo...." She whispered, her voice deadly serious as she stared on at the boy, holding her breath.
"...wah? Oh! Hahaha!" Ichiko suddenly burst out in laughter, finally realizing she probably looked like an amateur for not noticing it sooner....

All while this was happening, Zaku was likely completely unaware of the two clones on either side of him, yet another jutsu cast in the short time Katsuo was cloaked in smoke.
"Water Style! Piercing Star Shuriken!" Both clones called in unison, casting there hand signs whilst jumping off the ground, rotating in the air as an extremely flat, almost shimmering star shaped shuriken of water appeared in each of there hands, being launched in sync exactly after the third rotation, the two shuriken bursting forward at undetectable speeds, all that could be used to track them was a strange metal tang sound and distortions in the air around it.

Katsuo looked up from the the blood on his hands towards Zaku, giving him an evil grin just afyer the attacks were launched.

Zaku’s eyes widened, as he noticed the position he was in. Eh? A distraction? That steam was just a diversion! Zaku’s worry soon subsided when he realized what attacks they were using. ....heh.....has he really learned nothing?

Zaku position his arms on either side of him, angled at both of the clones and their projectiles. A large smirk spread across his face all the while. He looked up to Katsuo.

“Guess you didn’t learn from the time we teamed up before huh? Your outdated jutsu won’t work on me! Decapatating airwaves!!”

His zanuka has changed from the precise setting back to normal, and shot two powerful streams of air, requiring small amount of chakra to shoot. The airwaves quickly blew back the water shuriken that we’re blistering toward him. They were redirected back at his attackers, the shuriken slicking open the clones, dispersing them. As a side job, the air he shot revealed the other areas of the stadium that had been previously shrouded by steam, the steam advantage now had been lost.

“I expected more from you, it’s a shame, heh! Decapatating airwaves!”

His hands went to the ground, channeling his attacks through it. Since he was on a hill, the airwaves pumped out to the side of the hill. The hill side bursted open toward Katsuo, a previous underground pool of magma now exposed, and rocketing toward him like a wave of Lava. Even Zaku didn’t expect the lava of THAT amounts to be hidden away, but he sure wasn’t complaining.

As Zaku crouched down and began pumping power into the ground, Katsuo's smiled at him, casting a discrete sign as the lava erupted from beneath him.

As Katsuo was was 'hit', he appeared to be obliterated instantly, no visible sign of a jutsu being used could be detected.

Without hesitation, build up, or warning, Katsuo, now standing behind Zaku, simply began a barrage of extremely powerful palm strikes aim along his opponents spinal cord. He was a foot away, completely unaware of Katsuo's presence, and at most half as fast, Katsuo wasn't really sure how Zaku could escape this without time travel.
"Never talk until your certain the battle is over, fool." He whispered in a sinister tone. He didn't aim to kill Zaku, he still had no reason to, he liked the guy, enemy or comrade...not to say this wouldn't be worse than death for a few brief moments...

Azumi kept her eye on the battle below, even as she had this conversation with Kai as she watched Zaku and Katsuo display their styles and tried to take in all she could. Though with Kai's comments that might have proved difficult as it caused Azumi to frown. Already the tone he used made her sick to her stomach. "Xeno" clearly had a strong negative connotation behind it. Fitting, this one seemed to shine of arrogance that came with one who grew up in one of the "great" nations.

"I simple use whatever is most efficient at the present moment to get the job done. Regardless of what "national" origin it may have come from. And besides, the less I reveal of the techniques of my homeland the better and there is a certain level of satisfaction defeating a Kiri-nin using one of their own famed techniques against them." Azumi admitted though she kept a neutral expression on her face as she gave her justification. Not that she cared much what Kai thought on the matter.

I got him! Zaku was confident his lava barrage had roasted the enemy ninja. Right as he thought this, he felt air rush by, something that very few people could pick up on unless they were a sensory ninja or sound oriented. Zaku was thankfully the former, and noticed this quickly. What? Did he get water shuriken behind me? Another clone? Truth was, Zaku had no idea what made its way behind him, only knowing there was SOMETHING.

“Splicing sound fall!!!”

Thinking fast, dropping, his arms hitting the ground, he began to pump chakra into the ground, but as he did so a first strike hit his shoulder. He growled, as the rest of he hits couldn’t connect by the time Zaku did a risky and desperate maneuver. Normally this wouldn’t be risky, but considering what was under the ground, it could be fatal.

The air pressure surface only a few feet behind Zaku, lava erupting like a night volcano, aiming to roast the person behind him. It was so close that some lava embers went throughout zaku’s hair, The air pressure however eventually putting it out.

May seem like over Kill, guess I won’t be married today huh?

........

Kai was curious but still offended by the rain ninja. He couldn’t help but pity her, having to use other nation’s techniques to stay relevant. She most likely had no original techniques. Just like Reaver, held no actual originality.

“Efficient? Thieves are stillbefficient, yet they are still scum. Is your village made up of thieves of techniques such are yourself? Kiro may have failed to a mist technique, which I’m still coming to terms with, but i find some satisfaction in the fact that you could not have won without mist skill. In a way, the mist was your saving grace.”

Katsuo growled as Zaku began to pump more chakra into the earth, the ground beneath his feet beginning to rumble.
"Fine..." He mumbled, wrapping his arms and legs around Zaku with a vice like grip at the last possible second, the ground beneath him erupted into a fugue of smoke and lava, wherever Zaku ended up, Katsuo would be right on him, dead or alive.

Zaku felt his arms and legs get wrapped, he struggled to get him off, the heat of the area around amongst the fast paced battle made it a stressful situation, as the lava that had erupted seemed to be countered by Katsuo undead getting into his safe area. He had to admit was impressive, but troublesome.

His main weapon was his hand cannons, which were currently being wrapped by Katsuo, making them useless for the moment. He struggled but couldn’t break through katsuo’s superior physical strength and taijutsu mastery. He was vulnerable. Zaku neck tingled as he growled, trying to break free. His face scrunched up in pain, of both the contraints and his neck.

“You...you cant be serious!”

At this moment, he flashed back to when he was a child, and he was pinned against a wall after being caught stealing bread from the local baker. They brutes had hold of all his limbs, and he felt powerless. No matter how much he struggled, no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t break free. It mirrors but his current predicament. Beating him to a bloody pulp until he could no longer stand. Days like those made him vow to always get stronger as to never be punked again. For Orochimaru, for his honor, for Kou.

“Now....you’ve done it!”

Being triggered by those memories, his curse mark began to spread, his weeks of training with the sound four had payed off. Four long lines stretched from his eyes, two lines per. Two lines stretched down from his mouth as well. He looked like a monster. The curse mark aha irradiated around him, seeming to burn the air for just being there. Zaku’s chakra quickly began to burn, 50%, 45%, 40%. The clock was on.

Zaku screamed at the top of his lungs, the purple aura covering his body, began to irradiate faster with the energy of his quickly burning chakra. It was like a scorching blaze, his chakra depleting so fast that it was like setting fire to gasoline. The sheer amount of energized chakra emerging from his skin and body seemed incredibly deadly.

"Was it now? Considering the fact I left this match without so much as a scratch do you really think the Uchiha pushed me to the brink? You are free to believe I needed the Mist technique to win that battle. Whatever makes you feel better I suppose, but it should be quite obvious I have yet to truly be tested in these exams." Azumi replied to Kai as Kenji watched this with interest. In truth he had gone up to stop the fighting though it only appeared that it simply shifted from Kai vs. Raiku to Kai vs. Azumi now.

Not so hard to find a common theme with this verbal spar sessions I suppose.

Katsuo could feel a strange heat emanating from the mark on Zaku's neck, then...the heat began to spread. The young water nin was shocked by a sudden outburst of....what seemed to be visible chakra that sent him rolling along the arena floor, several cuts and scrapes now loosely coating his arms and visible upper torso.

"Mom....this boy...I'll lose if I don't act...." He whispered to himself, mesmerized by Zaku but still able to cast a set of unique hand signs.
"Water Style! Kraken's Tendrils!" He roared after a moment of pause, four long tentacles of water , spanning about ten feet in length each, protruded from the upper middle of his back.

Ichiko stared on with a wide eyed smile across her face.
"Well now....Katsuo must he feeling the pressure for him to use a move like that....let's see what happens now...."

The four limbs dug into the earth with ease, lifting Katsuo off the ground.
"Let's go Zaku." He said flatly, before, quite frankly, vanishing from his current position, reappearing about ten feet closer to Zaku, he began casting another set of hand signs as he, once again, flashed about ten feet forward.

Zaku growled, looking up with dark eyes toward the kraken before him. Katsuo, sporting four tendrils sprouting out of his back was a shorter, but no doubt with the lava Zaku had spilled out the water would cost more chakra to keep up, and that it would have to watch it’s Step.

“So what? You think freakin’ me out is gonna do anything?” Zaku spoke. “Tear to shreds!”

His aura coiled around his now free arms, a significant increase of chakra pumping into them. They were practically glowing as he pointed them directly toward the squid like ninja.

“Extreme Decapatating Airwaves!!!!”

On que, a powerful purest of energy came out of his palms. The already devastating Decapatating airwaves was filled with a purple aura of sorts. It roared through the air like an screeching banshee, horrifying and harmful to the ear. The terrifying blast ripped through the air, obliterating very parts of the arena, as the entire angle was covered with that surge. Lava that was hit was instantly hardened and then turned to dust upon coming into contact with the blast. Zaku screamed all the while, the black marking’s irradiating with energy as it called out for it’s brother’s and sister’s curse marks.

"Zaku..." Katsuo said quietly, flashing the the boys left the moment his opponents had began raising his arms.
"Constantly talking about how flawed others techniques are, when you yourself don't have the speed to effectively wield your own power." He added, surprisingly more calm than earlier as he flashed to Zaku's side, release a powerful barrage of punches and kicks, all the while his two upper tendrils aimed to wrap around the boys wrists.

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
The extreme devastating airwaves did catastrophic damage to the field, the entire half of which Zaku attacked had been utterly annihilated, leaving only the metal bottom intact while all the rock and lava was gone from that side. It was revealed however, the attack was fruitless as Katsuo had appeared yet again from behind him, giving off a few words.

Not again. Zaku thought, knowing why was to come next. Unfortunately there was some truth to Katuso’s words, as he took a pucnh to the side, then the stomach, and then the cheek. The two tendrils came to wrap his arms.

“What worked once...no longer does!”

Zaku flashed open his hands, which were still steaming from his last huge attack. He flashed them toward his oppressor’s tendrils and by Proxy Katsuo himself. He couldn’t produce another extreme Decapatating airwaves so quickly, he wasn’t even sure if he had another one of those left in him.

Without needing to say anything, his air cannons shot, out powerful bursts of air, dark purple auras coating their blast. They soared through the tendrils like butter, dead set on hitting Katsuo near the speed of sound. 25%

Ironically enough, the last person to leave the battlefield had been the only one not involved in the battle. Sagisō mused to herself, a neutral mask of contentment on her face. Frankly, she quite annoyed with both Azumi and Kiro's responses, they both seemed to have misunderstood her intentions somehow. Well, nevermind. As far as she knew they would only cross each other's paths for a few days more, then they would return to their respective villages and never see each other again, or worst, meet as enemies on the battlefield. While she wouldn't mind offing Kai any day of the week, she didn't think it reasonable to come at sparring partners with murderous intent. After all, that's all these exams were. Spars. She didn't see why these other genin went at each other's throats like they'd met their most hated enemies, enemies who'd just come back after slaughtering their entire family.

Her eyes dialated, keenly observing the battle between Zaku and Katsuo. If that didn't look like a battle between two people who had a blood debt, an enemnity so deep they couldn't tolerate the existence of the other party, then she didn't know what did. 'Okay, maybe that's bit too much of an exaggeration, but they're still crazy...' These guys must've been some of those perverts who didn't feel right if they weren't immersed in a battle of life and death, only living for the thrill of dancing on a knive's blade. Sagisō shook her head, making her way off the field by walking up the walls of the arena, rather than exiting through the underground loading dock. Well, if the feeling of a life-death crisis was so great it could produce perverts like these who'd risk their lives at the drop of a hat... then maybe she would try it some time.

Katsuo's eyes widened as Zaku opened his palms, the tendrils coiling around the boys body like a cacoon.
He was launches backwards through the air, aimed for outside the arena.
"Gah! Damn....even with the tendrils as added protection, that blast must've broke something." He told himself internally, snapping out of his daze quick enough for the tendrils to unravel and once again dig into what was remaining of the arena floor, prying himself over the edge and back to safety, he gripped his right side, showing obvious signs of pain from the blast, but Zaku didn't appear so great either, with those direct blows, plus all the chakra consumption from those giant blasts, he was also on his last legs.
"Ive got this....I've got this!" He pumped himself up, giving his cheeks a smack as he looked on towards his opponent.

Ichiko was now completely over the railing, practically standing in the spectator a seat ahead of her. "Don't overdue it."

Katsuo stood and thought for a moment, taking in the fight so far, when an obvious idea popped into his head.
"Ohimanidiot." He mumbled internally, gesturing for Zaku to bring it.
"Alright ya giant fan, lets see what you got." He added, holding his arms out to his sides.

Zaku, twitching now, signs of pain caused by the curse mark apparent in his figure. He was glad to see Katsuo get hit by his lastest move, a grin stretching a crossed his blackened face. He laughed out loud, pumping out his airwaves. Time to go on the offensive! This will take up a lot of Chakra...! At an odd change of pace, Zaku refused to attack long range and instead charged at Katsuo at his moment of weakness. His hands came together, pumped a charged shot of air and chakra combined together. This technique could only be used in his curse mark form, and sakon advised against using it until he could control it properly. But what did he know? Right as he got to Katsuo, he called out.

“Severing Sound Sword!!!!”

The streams of air turned into long chakra field sound blades, extremely thin like the precise Decapatating airwaves. The swords stretched for twenty feet each, condensed with powerful chakra energies. He swooped like a hawk on his prey, cutting right across Katuso’s position. The swords stretched far and wide, coming like a guillotine

*SHASH!!!!!*

The sound barrier was broken as he finished his technique, ending up behind Katsuo, but still looking forward. His pose was the same as when he unleashed the attack, except he had stopped moving completely. He had no idea weather the attack worked, but quickly as they came, the swords faded. 10%

‘In this world, there’s only one thing required to kill, and that is the intent to kill.’ Kiro stared down at his hands as he sat upright on the medical bed. ‘As long as in the end, you’re at peace with yourself, knowing that all the blood you’ve shed was of your own choice, not because you were a victim of circumstances.’ Sagisō’s words still managed to stick into his head, questioning Kiro’s conviction. The time for a decision seemed to be drawing near...

“How much longer?” Kiro quietly asked the nurse examining him. ‘Wait, I just spoke more than two words without my throat being destroyed.’ Kiro had heard the Leaf had some exceptional medical treatment but he didn’t expect it to be this good. Kiro had expected to be without his voice for about a day, instead it seemed fine now. “That was fast.” Kiro told the nurse who simply nodded before speaking as he tried to stand up. “Please try and take it easy. You suffered severe oxygen loss and it wouldn’t be wise to be exerting much energy until you are fully recovered. As for your physical injuries, they’re a.. uh...” The medic stuttered, her face turning red as she made eye contact with him. “They’re what?” Kiro questioned as the nurse paused, seemingly lost in thought. “Um, well your bones are also stressed due the amount of pressure that was put on to them. From what I understand... you’re going to have to stay here for another day.” The nurse said as she did her best to keep her eyes on the notes in her hands. Kiro had zoned out until he heard he had to stay. He didn’t feel like sitting in bed for a whole day, doing nothing. It was a waste of time. He needed to get stronger and staying in bed wasn’t going to help him.

Kiro noticed that the nurse kept looking back at him while she continued to read through the notes the medics left. “What is it?” Kiro asked, curious as to why the nurse kept looking at him. Maybe there was something even worse that they didn’t want to tell him. “It’s alright, you can tell me.” The nurse blushed as he asked this question before she answered honestly. “You’re cute, that’s all.” The nurse giggled afterwards as she went back to her notes. “Oh.” Kiro was disappointed by that response. It seemed no matter the village, most of the girls were the same. The nurse didn’t seem that much older than him. Maybe about one or two years. But that didn’t matter. What mattered was getting out. “So, you’re an Uchiha?” The nurse asked as she looked at him, more so the bandage on his left cheek. “Um yeah, why?” Kiro has figured that the sharingan wasn’t the only trait the Uchiha shared. He was right. “It’s nothing, I just guessed because your clan seems to share the same good looks. The difference is that you seem to be from another village, which is strange considering the Uchiha like to keep their own nearby. But that’s the only thing that separates you from the rest I suppose.” The nurse spoke as if she knew what she was talking about. ‘Ignorant.’ Kiro had to keep his composure or else he wouldn’t be getting out anytime soon. There had to be some way...

“So, you think the Uchiha all share the same looks?” Kiro asked, beginning the first step of his plan. He had the nurse’s full attention at this point. “Yeah. Well, nearly all of them seem pretty hot except...” Kiro interrupted the girl to state his deal. “Well how about I introduce to you one of my friends. In return, I get to leave now.” Kiro offered the nurse who’s face turned red at the thought. “Well I um... but you’re from the Mist.” The nurse countered, in which Kiro was already prepared for. “Don’t worry, he’s from the Leaf. His name is...” Kiro nearly forgot the idiot’s name. The nurse seemed to be interested and Kiro just needed to remember the boy’s name. “Um, well unlike me, he’s just different. Trust me, you’ll like him.” Kiro mentally cursed as he forgot the Uchiha’s name. The boy had been the last thing on his mind. He was weak and annoying... “Raiku Uchiha! That’s his name.” Kiro finally remembered the name he had blocked out of his head. However, he didn’t believe the response the nurse had. “Ew! That weirdo, no!” Kiro had to hold himself back from breaking out in laughter. Raiku was even more of a loser than Kiro had previously thought. “Yeah, but no. Trust me when I say that he’s a lot different from a lot of the other members of your clan.” The nurse stated in disgust. Kiro really wanted to hear some stories but he did not want to waste time with this. He had to get out of there as soon as possible. “Well, he’s the only Uchiha I know here. Is there anyway I can leave today?” Kiro pleaded, hoping there was something the nurse could do. “Well, there’s one thing I can do...” The nurse said, looking away as her face turned red again. Kiro didn’t notice and instead focused on his only option. “You can leave but someone will have to watch over you for the rest of the day to make sure you don’t do anything to stressful for your body.” Kiro couldn’t believe it. If that was it, he’ll gladly accept. “Okay then, you watch me then!” Kiro exclaimed, believing he was almost free. The nurse fully blushed when Kiro said this.

“Really?! I-I mean alright.” Internally, The nurse couldn’t believe this was happening. ‘Yes, a date with him! Wait until they see!’ Even though it would only be for a day, she couldn’t wait to see the looks on the faces of her friends when they saw her with Kiro. ‘They’re gonna be so jealous!’

Kiro just looked at the nurse confused. For some reason, he couldn’t read what she was thinking. It was like that with women, he could never understand. “Okay well I’m going to confirm this and let them know the situation! Just wait here!” The nurse exclaimed before she quickly exited the room, leaving Kiro by himself.

He had no time to waste. As soon as he was outside, Kiro planned to place her in a genjutsu and leave. A simple solution. Now he just needed patience.

‘To believe completely in your own actions and goals, your nindo, regardless of the outcome and the load that accompanied it... that is what it means to be a shinobi, that is what it means to be one who endures.’ Kiro’s mind went back to Sagisō’s words as he sat back down. Subconsciously, he touched the curse mark on his neck. He nearly flinched at the coldness he felt when he touched it. Did he truly believe that he could attain his goals with such darkness attached to him? All Kiro could do now was stick to the path he believed would take him to what he ultimately desired...

Taiyo and Tsuki were left in the doctor's room by themselves, with no supervision. Tsuki was still writing her notes about Zaku and Katsuo like an absolute maniac, so she had no idea that besides Taiyo, she was the only one in the room, which would hardly matter to her. The Leaf-nin wanted to speak to the pacifist, but he felt that it would be rude to interrupt her when she was doing her thing, so she let it be. Meanwhile, the medical-nin assigned to Taiyo was currently in the crowd searching for a puppet master. If he could find one, then he could have her/him replace Taiyo's arms with puppet ones. After asking a multitude of people, he spotted a young girl, who was actually Madoka, so he decided to walk over to her to see if she knew a puppet master or if she herself was one.

Raiku has been eyeing Kiro since his battle finished and followed him to the nurse’s. He was right outside Kiro’s room and was eavesdropping on their conversation. Raiku activated his Sharingan and concentrated some chakra. Then he opened the door and immediately the nurse went to the opening of the door, and looked at Raiku. Upon making eye contact he used a strong version of one of his Genjutsu that puts the person to sleep. The nurse then became unconscious.

“That’s what you get for calling me a weirdo.”

Then he turned to face Kiro.

“Let’s talk, and this time I’m not asking.”

Raiku then took out his blade.

Kiro looked up when he heard the door open again. Except instead of the nurse standing there, it was Raiku. Kiro grinned when he saw the blade in his hand, as well as the unconscious nurse on the ground behind him. ‘This is going to be fun.’ Kiro activated sharingan immediately before he looked at Raiku’s face. He wasn’t going to risk being placed in a genjutsu.

“I suppose you didn’t come here for a friendly chat.” Kiro said as he eyed the blade. “So, what is it that you want? Still upset that I offed your girlfriend?” Kiro asked that last part specifically to see if he could get a reaction out of Raiku. “If it’s my head, then I’m afraid you’re going to have to wait a day. Doctor’s orders.” Kiro continued to stay seated, not feeling threatened at all yet by Raiku’s presence. If the nurse was right about anything, it was that Raiku was pathetic.

“Why in the world would I do that? I didn’t come to assassinate you for Pete’s sake. It’s just clearly you won’t talk willingly. Considering how weakened you are I’d think it’d be wise to just actually just listen.”

“For your information I actually did come here to chat. Don’t think of it as an interrogation, just like a friendly conversation between shinobi...”

Raiku made sure not to mention of how they’re both Sharingan users or anything along those lines as he could tell Kiro disliked Uchihas.

“And if you’ll do so, I’ll put the blade down...”

Kiro rolled his eyes at Raiku’s statement. “I don’t know, I guess the blade in your hand must be for decoration.” He didn’t know or want to know what Raiku wanted to talk about. He could care less about what this weak little Uchiha thought. ‘If only I was at full strength...’ However, if talking was all that was needed to get Raiku away from him as soon as possible, then he’ll accept. Kiro sighed, deciding to let Raiku. “Fine, just hurry up and speak.”

As the dust cleared, Katsuo standing completely still as he was prior, although now his position shifted ten feet to the right. He tendrils quivered as his head heaved forward, a large amount of blood splattering on the floor beneath him.

Ichiko Sensei exploded in the middle of the stadiums. "Don't you dare do it Katsuo!" She roared angrily, not even showing signs of concern at her students potentially fatal injury.

The young water nin fell to actually legs, the water tendrils no longer supporting his weight as he gripped the large cut running from his lower abdomen to right shoulder, his eyes closed the entire time.

"No...I can't win without even more control and power....Ichiko Sensei....please forgive me." He scolded himself internally, flashing a particularly long set of hand signs.

"...Ikeda Clan Forbidden Justsu...Blood Release." He spoke quietly.

"You cant let gim use that!" Ichiko cried, barrelling forward through the stadiums, being stopped by several anbu members before she could reach Katsuo.

The blood that had pooled up around Katsuo began to shimmer before floating off the ground, taking the shape of one of Katsuo's piercing windmill shuriken. His tendril slithered around the bloody weapon, a dark look in Katsuo's eyes.

"Zaku....this is it, let's see how your blast does against this! BLOOD RELEASE! IKEDA BLOOD STAR SHURIKEN!" He roared, the tendril reeling back before launching the shuriken faster than any projectile used in the tournament so far, almost as if the force from Zaku's air cannons was concentrated down into the lone shuriken.
"Take the true power of my clan!"

Raiku gave a small eye smile before putting his sword away.

“Don’t expect this to be fast. I’m basically about to ask for your life story and more.”

Now Raiku has an evil look on his face. Then he looked at the nurse and then around the room before finding a marker and drawing mustaches and other silly things on the nurse’s face.

“Normally I don’t treat girls like this but since she insulted me I’ll treat her like a boy. Now...”

Raiku turned to face Kiro once more.

“How about we start with something casual.... what’s your problem? It seems as if you hate everyone here... me specifically. And yet I’ve never even seen you before besides the first day of the exams. Don’t you think that’s a bit unfair?”

Before he learned about Kiro he decided to do a bit of his therapy.

Zaku made a hearty laugh as he heard the blood spilling out to the floor. He turned over to see his handiwork. Although the extreme Decapatating airwaves were much stronger power wise, the swords were condensed, and would cause catostrophic nerve damage and blood loss. Sakon said that using the technique would make it much harder for wounds to cauterize if they were to live, so the blood coming from Katsuo seemed to only further seal his fate.

When Katsuo got up and began using his blood like it was an extension of his own body, Zaku began to sweat, holding up his hands defensively. He knew he didn’t have too much chakra to use, so he had to use it carefully. As the shuriken was launched, Zaku was alarmed. He knew he didn’t have the chakra reserved remaining to counter such an object. The jutsu his enemy was using words was frightening, like the blood he had spilled had come back to haunt him.

He put his hands together, the chakra from the entire aura around him being sucked up, fueling into one last ditch move. His chakra was being entirly devoted to his cannons, as they brimmed at the seems with pure chakra.

“I won’t fall here!! Decapatating airwaves!!!!”

Zaku blasted a purple wave of energy, which hardly looked liked air at all. It seemed like the rest of his chakra had become energiesed and blasted toward his enemy and his enemy’s projectile. He knew Katsuo could bend his shuriken in any direction he chose, so he made sure that this attack would line up to hit Him if he decided to move it.

The attack roared through the battlefield, rocks and debris flying through the air of what remained of the battlefield. The black marks receded from his face as it went back into his curse mark while finishing his attack. 0%

‘Life story? What the fuck?’ Kiro was bewildered by the thought that Raiku was going to tell him anything about himself. Who did he think he was, a psychiatrist? Kiro was even more weirded out by what Raiku did to the nurse. Maybe that’s why they thought Raiku was weird. Even Kiro thought Raiku was a bit out of it. The further Raiku spoke, the more annoyed he got. However, Kiro did have the patience in him to wait until Raiku was finished.

“First off, last I checked, I didn’t need a therapy session. Also, I’m pretty sure you’re not a doctor.” Kiro told Raiku, still in disbelief that this Uchiha was trying to understand him. It didn’t matter because Kiro wasn’t going to tell him anything. “Basically, I’m not telling you anything.” Kiro shrugged before leaning back on his bed.

Kiro wanted so badly to put Raiku in his place. He knew he couldn’t go all out, but he wouldn’t have to if he wanted to kill Raiku. His first mistake was putting his sword away. Ever since the first day when Raiku interrupted his talk with Chikao, Kiro wanted to shut him up. It seemed that this may be his chance. However, the hospital didn’t seem like a good place for that. He thought it was ironic how just a few moments he wanted to leave and now he wanted to stay. “Well if you excuse me, this patient is trying to get some rest.” Kiro yawned afterwards to imply that he was tired. In actuality, he just wanted Raiku to leave before things escalated.

Raiku gave another eye smile before drawing out his sword again and using his chakra to go next to Kiro’s dead nearly immediately afterwards and putting the blade dangerously near the Kiri-nin’s neck.

“Did you just forget what I said earlier, or are you just as dumb as you are weak?”

Instead of smiling Raiku has a cold glare while staring at Kiro, but in all honestly he wasn’t even sure it would matter or make Kiro feel threatened. He DID know that his situation made him feel satisfaction, which he enjoyed while also thinking he’s creepy.

“When the nurse wakes up I’ll be gone, but don’t think I’m not gonna take advantage of things. Apparently, unlike you I’m smart. Though by your nasty personality I expect a witty comeback. And if you just don’t talk I’ll impale your arms, technically not that illegal... now talk.”

Azumi kept her focus on the match between Zaku and Katsuo, which seemed to be approaching the climax as both fighters had gone all out. And to say the battle served as a great benefit to Azumi would have undersold it.

So, that is the power of what Orochimaru gave them. Though it appears to not be a power one without it cannot match. Still, something like that must come with some sort of price. I wonder what he sacrificed to obtain that strength?

Madoka, along with Tomiko had watched the battle intently before she overheard a nurse call out for a puppet master. While Madoka would not go as far to say she was a true master, her skills had been proficient if she were to toot her own horn and maybe what the nurse needed.

"I am skilled in the art of puppetry!' Madoka called out to the nurse as she stood up as did Tomiko as the Iwa-nin had been curious over what a puppet user was needed for. As Madoka had been.

Sagiso returned to her seat, deactivated her dojutsu and closed her eyes, a faint smile hanging from her lips. She mused to herself about the hospital room just a few levels below her, and Kiro's latest actions which naturally couldn't escape her notice, given that she'd been focusing on him ever since the start of his match. The steely look of determination on his face was enough to tell her he'd finally understood the words she'd given him, and about time too. It would seem he wasn't that dense after all. They say life is like a rollercoaster, after going down, the next event is naturally going back up. All things considered, Sagiso was now in a rather good mood, she wouldn't even rat Kiro out even if he decided to murder the nurse in cold blood just to further his agenda. If he thought that was the necessary path to take, then so be it. After spying on the three people around the hospital room, she was certain that the Kiri-Uchiha would become far less disappointing. 'Yep, those...three...people?' Her smile slowly faded away like the remnant traces of a rainbow, and Sagiso, for a brief moment, blanked. She activated her eyes again, a short 5 seconds, just long enough to see some Konoha-nin walk into Kiro's hospital room with a blade.

Sagiso took a deep breath, filling her lungs with air. 'Let it go Sagiso... it's not your problem... You've only spent an hour or two of effort on that guy and he's only about to waste it by getting himself killed in a hospital room... It's really not that important. If he dies you've still got Katsuo and Zaku as husband candidates..?' A quick glance over at the Katsuo vs. Zaku battle revealed the two candidates in question looking like they'd just crawled out of the 18th level of hell. Zaku was screeching his lungs out while firing a disturbingly ominous chakra wave at Katsu, and the latter looked like he'd just been gutted like a fish. The copious amounts of blood that spewed from Kastuo's wounds certainly wasn't healthy and she found herself questioning whether the boy would keel over the minute the match ended, and while Zaku looked he'd live through the match the chakra he'd just used sent shivers down her spine. It wasn't particularly scary, but every single cell in her body seemed to unanimously agree that wherever the hell he got that chakra from...it was disgustingly creepy. It was still tolerable, but it was also something she was certain she could do without.

She mentally moved Zaku and Katsuo back into the list of 'things to be reconsidered' and started off in a spring towards Kiro's location. As she bolted past Kai and down the stairs she slowed to a jog, which dribbled to a walk before she ultimately came to a halt. While her body had stopped, the gears in her mind spun at full speed, and ever so slightly her lips curved into a menacing smirk.

Having wiped her expression from her face and replaced it with one of utter concern and an ingrained pride, the type of pride she'd seen plastered onto Kai's face many a time, she hastily made her way back to kiri-xenophobe's location.

"While we might have our differences I'm sure we can agree on at least one thing, Mizu blood shouldn't be spilled on foreign soil, if any at all." She adopted a steely expression, and a tone of utter disdain, "especially not by these inferior pigs from the land of fire." Her eyes surreptitiously scanned Kai's face for signs of approval but nevertheless, she continued, "and that's exactly what's about to happen downstairs. One of the Konoha-ninja, those spineless mice, they've cornered Kiro in his hospital room... and If we don't hurry, Mist blood will be spilled on Xeno soil!"

She paused for a moment, giving her words some time to sink in. "You with me or not..?" She gestured towards the stairs, indicated her intent to assist Kiro.

"...you don't need to worry about my sudden change of heart, while I might not be a mist shinobi, I am still a citizen of the land of water, and I'm sure you kiri-nin know better than anyone. We Don't Abandon our Own!"

With her last words, she pushed her byakugan to its limits, staring piercingly at the kiri-nin to convey her point. Although they'd had disputes in the past, she was sure that her words would be enough to rile him up. There was no way he could stand to see noble mist blood spilled in some backwater 'Xeno' country, and that was something she could exploit.

As Kenji began to make his way back to Ino & Sakura, but both he and Azumi who remained close to Kai's area soon saw the arrival of Sagiso as she began a rather...interesting pitch for help from Kai. Azumi's eyebrows were raised as Sagiso spoke in very much the same outright racist manner Kai seemed to make his preference.

Huh, never would have pegged Sagiso to share of that kind of mindset. That is rather disappointing. Still, if a Konoha-nin is trying to attack another ninja even in a hospital bed that is further proof of the poor & violent teachings of this nation to its shinobi.

Kenji however had not been one to keep his opinions to himself and hearing those words from Sagiso he knew he had to say something. Kenji may have been bitter, to a degree, over being beaten by her within the Forest of Death but he had respect for her capabilities and as such did not want his mind to associate a worthy opponent with a racist. Unaware that it was merely a ruse from her to get Kai's aid in whatever this situation concerning the Uchiha and the Konoha-nin had been.

"Gotta say, would not have expected that kind of language from you. Such a shame to, I had a bit more respect for you then to class you with someone like him." Kenji admitted casually as he interjected himself into this conversation or rather request for aid from Sagiso.

Sagisō's lips twitched with the interjection of...of...that guy, and more importantly the queer expression on Azumi's face. She vaguely remembered having kicked him a few times during the forest of death but she honestly couldn't quite remember his name. Nevertheless, the proverb held true; Enemies are bound to meet on a narrow road. The single time she'd decided to do something questionable, this just immediately jumped out of whatever corner he'd been hiding in and screwed her over the process. Although she chose to keep up her facade, internally, she'd already cursed the very day this guy was born on.

Thinking quickly she pulled another proverb from her repertoire; one which went by the name 'point at the mulberry tree while cursing the locust tree', she continued to speak to Kai, but in truth her words weren't meant for him. "Kiro was way too gullible; believing everything he saw and heard. If he hadn't been so hasty in judging the situation then he might not have gotten trapped by that Xeno, what an idiot! Regardless, we need to help him before he offs himself."

She'd somewhat alluded to the fact that they were making hasty assumptions, whilst also not forgetting to curse that guy in the process. She'd tried to do it in a way that wouldn't tip off Kai, but only time would tell.

The nurse inwardly smiled, happy that he was able to cure a patient for the first time in his career. However, his outward expression stayed the same, in order to keep things professional. He walked over to Madoka and all of the people she was sitting with.
"Miss, if you would, follow me," The doctor kindly stated, he thought that as soon as she saw Taiyo's condition, she would know exactly what to do. However, he was a kind man, so he wouldn't force Madoka to do anything she didn't want to. Meanwhile, the still armless Leaf-nin finally worked up the nerve to converse with Tsuki.
"Hey, what's in that notebook?" Taiyo asked, afraid she might attack him for interrupting her. Tsuki looked up from her notes, specifically the Katsuo section where she had just finished writing about Blood release.
"Oh...um, it's just a little project I have, I've gathered data on every fighter in the Exams, wanna see?" The Yuki-nin replied nervously, afraid that he would laugh at her. Taiyo nodded and shortly, they were both looking at Tsuki's notes.

Kai was surprised at the words coming from Sagiso. Kai, who had tried to spill as much blood from Sagiso as possible earlier, had mixed feelings. It seemed like a sudden change of heart of the Amazoness to have. When she mentioned the land of water, Kai finally put two and two together: she was not truly a Xeno, at least not fully. He then heard the term ‘Xeno’ and his attention was locked.

“Agreed, the detestable Xenos mustn’t be allowed to spill the blood of the pure.” Kai said adjusting his mask. “Your lineage is....questionable....but you many not be as foreign as you had seemed. If he truly is in imminent danger, we mustn’t waste time. Lead the way, half Xeno.”

Kai shifted out of his seat, the sound of many little metallic sound resonating lightly in the process, he put himself right near Sagiso.

“What’s your aim?” Kai whispered. “First you have a killing intent toward me and threatened to fight and kill Kiro, even insulting my entire village. Now you are interrupting his match to save him and trying to protect him in his treatment room. You couldn’t give a care about either of us earlier, now what’s got you so patriotic?”

“So that’s how it is...” Kiro looked at the sword by his neck. All of this for some talk. Raiku was really pushing his limits now. ‘Why is he so upsessed with me?’ Kiro quickly performed some handsigns while Raiku was talking. “Like I said before, I’m done wasting my breath on you. So this is your last chance to leave. Strike me if you wish, but just remember I warned you.” Kiro said, motioning Raiku to look at the handsign he had made.

Internally, Kiro did hope Raiku tried to attack him, it would give him full reason to end the boy’s life. This Uchiha probably thought he had the right to just barge in here and question him like Kiro was one of their own. It sickened him to the point where he questioned how he was able to hold himself back for so long. Even giving Raiku the advantage in this situation... atleast it made the Uchiha think he had the upper hand. Kiro hoped Raiku felt some sense of pride in what could be his last moments. If the tides turned, Kiro would not hesitate to murder Raiku. He had resolved not to die here or anytime soon and if Raiku was a roadblock on his path, he would destroy it.

Raiku glared at Kiro one last time before putting his sword away and turning around.

"Tsk, I was the one giving chances. Well, congrats. If you stay the way you are you're gonna end up miserable and insane, and you're gonna feel like you're living in Hell, too. But since you want to fuck up your life so much I'll let you."

Raiku then deactivated his Sharingan and left the room to head upstairs. He began hearing talks about Kiro about to get killed.

Wtf, that literally just happened. Wait a second...

Raiku got a closer look at the person who was in front of Kai.

"Well, well, well... if it isn't the foreign Byakugan user. It seems we have quite the amount of non Leaf dojutsu users using eyes from our village. I wonder... were you born with them...? Or did you steal them..."

‘Good riddance.’ Kiro sighed in relief when Raiku left the room. When Raiku said that he had been giving him ‘chances’, Kiro activated his substitution, ready to strike him from behind. The nerve Raiku had to talk to him with such disrespect. Had Raiku forgotten that he had failed the first exam in such a shameful matter. It must be short-term memory otherwise Raiku was just stupid.

Kiro just shook his head and placed his arms underneath his head as he laid down. As much as he hated to admit it, that was probably the most entertainment he was going to have while he remained in the hospital. The nurse still laid unconscious right outside the room, so it was only a matter of time before she was noticed. Kiro could just waltz out of the room if he wanted too but decided that it would be best if he stayed. More-so, he was just feeling lazy. He might as well relax while he could. The road in front of him would be long and hard, but it was the path he had chosen. He yawned and just stared at the ceiling above him, his sharingan deactivating as he took this time to think.

"I understand." Madoka said, as both she and Tomiko followed the doctor will they saw Taiyo and well...his lack of arms before him. Tomiko winched a bit, glancing down at her own cast-covered arms and suddenly thinking perhaps she got off luckier than expected. Madoka understood now what they needed of her, as she moved beside Taiyo on the bed and locked eyes with him.

"I hope you made this decision after considering all the variables. Wouldn't want a lifetime of regrets." Madoka said as she pulled out a ninja bag and laid out some materials. She requested for a table while Tomiko moved next to Tsuki to observe what she was writing.

"I certainly have, I feel that I must master Flashing Burst Style, once I do, I will certainly become much stronger, and I will be more of use to my village the sooner I get arms," Taiyo explained part of his reasoning to Madoka, as for regrets, Taiyo was too busy focusing on fights to care about that. Tsuki lifted her head and moved her notebook to allow Tomiko to observe the notes she had on her.

Katsuo groaned as Zaku’s final wave approached, knowing full well he couldnt generate enough chakra to dodge or block.
“But maybe....” He muttered, remembering the red puddle beneath him that had been slowly increasing in size.
With a final wave of his hand, the shuriken did a pivot, looping around the body of Zaku’s blast and still on target slam Zaku from the left side.

Katsuo collapsed to his knees, casting one final hand sign as he focused on the blood pooling around him.

“Blood Release....Bloody Bubble Dome...” He muttered weakly as the water tentacles simultaneously wrapped around him once again. The jutsu he cast activating milissconds before the blast hit, using up the last of Katsuo’s reserves with it. A dark crimson dome formed around him, akin to the water bubble he’d used against Zaku during there first battle....funny how even the smallest amount of time can lead to the greatest of changes.

As both attacks appeared to hit there target, a large explosion occurred, engulfing the arenas and most of the stands with a thick dust cloud, the outcome still comepletely unknown.

The dust slid through the air like a snake, deciding which on the competitors where to lose. Under the dust cloud, Zaku was revealed. He was laying on the floor, steam coming from his implants. There’s were little red shards strewn over his body like glass. He coughed on the ground, covered in these external injuries. It was apparent that he would not be able to get back in fighting condition in time.

Lord Orochimaru....have I failed? Zaku thought to himself as he stared into the crowd, his eyes tired and his gaze weak. His eyes met with Kou, who’s tears pooled up, sniffilibg at the sight of his fellow orphan battered.

“B-B—Boss!” Kou shouter, tears flowing.

The dust slowly moved across the battlefield, about to reveal Katsuo’s position. Zaku’s eyes slid over to his side. He could only hope he had defeated him.

A Kage made its way near to the Lage of the leaf, Minato. The Kage was covered the customary Kage robe, which was seemed like bandages under that all over his body. The Kage bores the kanji of ‘sound’ as he stood next to Minato.

“A heated match, wouldn’t you say?” The Kage spoke. “I wonder which one of them will make it to the finals...”
