I honestly like the Kiro v Azumi match up cuz they both seem to be the most serious. It will be interesting to see how it will play out. I also want to see Azumi’s rant!

Nothing for him to do. Focused on Azumi's matches and Tomiko's character stuff. Sakura & Kenji suffered for it. Madoka to an extent as well. I am a failure...

No, she just stopped to attack Kiro and then give him a tongue lashing. It could go either way, the fight could end now, or Zaku could attack and it'd continue.

Also, it's a chance to say some of my own thoughts. Seriously, most ninja don't acquire Chūnin through the exams, it's an entirely optional set of exams that basically allow you an early promotion. While the anime did show a lot of fierce battles in the exam, few people were willing to risk their lives just for the rank. The crippling injuries or life-threatening battles weren't usually for the sake of promotion to Chūnin. Sasuke broke Zaku's arms because he was under the influence of the curse mark, and Lee got his limbs crushed because...Gaara was kinda a sociopath serial killer. Naruto's fight against Neji was more about avenging Hinata than anything, and Hinata's fight with Neji was her making a statement to herself. Tell me if I've missed any but all the gruesome fights ended in severe injury more because of interactions between the characters that any real desire to get the rank of Chūnin. Besides the forest of death which is a survival exam, there are rarely deaths or crippling injuries during the tournament section. I'm almost worries how you guys will act when something important really is at stake.

In my defense Tomiko not giving up is part of her character arc. She won't give up on anything of any significance. Which is admirable, but has clear issues and it needs to be examined.
Sakura & Madoka gave up versus Hashima & Zaku. Kenji was down for the count without getting too crazy and Azumi had not been pressured to those extreme points yet.

Well, at least they have reasons. Just don't want every little thing turning into something so high stakes someone needs to die or get permanently crippled. It'll just make the real life-or-death situations seems trivial.
