Welcome back to the Lab! Today I present to you, Terill!
#018 Terill
Ground/Steel Type
Mole Pokemon
Having lost their drill nose after evolution, Terill have developed a new way to travel underground in the form of the steel machinery attached to their backs. The very fact they have been able to create and operate such technology suggests a rather high intellect among Pokemon. That isn't to say that the drilling machinery is always reliable, of course, and they are often known to break down whilst Terill is tunneling.
Like Termole before it, Terill has the Arena Trap ability, which allows it to keep its foes in one place so it can hit with powerful, and rather fast, attacks. Moves of choice are Earthquake and Iron Tail, quite obviously, but it has also been known to use moves such as bite and variants such as Fire Fang. These attacks emply their high attack, another trait carried over from Termole. However, it seems that Terill's speed has not increased as much as I would have expected, probably because of the large amount of machinery it is carrying.
Although they may look as if they wouldn't shy away from a fight, a life of living underground has made this Pokemon rather shy and quite anxious about interacting with other humans and Pokemon. There are a few exceptions however, such as Diglett and Dugtrio, which these Pokemon live in peace with underground. During observations we have even seen Dugtrio widening small tunnels that Terill can not fit down, so that it can move on. Who knew such a society existed under the ground we walk on!
Although very powerful as it is, Terill becomes an even touger force at level 35 when it evolves in to tomorrow's Pokemon, Moldrill!
