Open No Man's Sky / Space Rp

This rp is loosely based off the game No Man's Sky (Ya don't have to have played it to join) in that there is plenty of exploration and trading in newly discovered worlds. There are no major empires that rule over these planets, but there are settlements and trading planets. Think wild west, but space. You can choose to be either a traveler, exploring new places and recording what you see, a mercenary, a pirate, a merchant, or maybe you're just some humble settlement folk.

You're free to choose a race from the game or create your own. You can also choose to collaborate with other characters and create a backstory together. Perhaps you'll be a married exploring duo or a pair of pirates with trust issues.

Name: Bee-Bee
Race: Korvax - Modified
Appearance:

Head Shape: Similar to the basic Analytic Visor of certain Korvax, Bee-Bee's helmet has been modified to have metal "rabbit ears" on each side of his head that may move in accordance to his emotions. The screen in the center of his face has also been replaced to display various basic emotive faces or in some instances punctuation. The coloring of his metal is silver although Bee-Bee enjoys collecting stickers on his body (Basically Chappie)​

Bee-Bee wears typical space gear although his favorite colors to wear are yellow and black.
Backstory: The Korvax cycle of life involves a brand new entity generating in the body of a dead Korvax and Bee-Bee's own life started half buried in red sand on a hot planet barren of intelligent life. Although he experienced no pain, his body was severely weathered and damaged. Broken, lost and alone he spent nearly half a year trying to develop and learn. Eventually he was fished of the planet and pushed in society. But it's because of this absence of guidance and a culture to be born into that Bee-Bee comes off as childish and dense. His sentences are often times fragmented and he has a difficult time communicating and learning the separate languages of other lifeforms. Despite being built moderately tall, Bee-Bee typically cowers and exudes nervousness and guilt when confronted. Strangely he finds himself in situations with a gun placed in his hands and the duty of protecting another individual on his shoulders. The outcomes of this are mixed.
Occupation: Explorer/Bodyguard for hire

Name: Twig
Race: Gek
Appearance: Standing just under five feet tall this gek is a light shade of grey with three small white horns protruding from his head. His large black eyes have bright orange goggles strapped to them that he can open and close depending on his environment. His space suit is a mixture of black shades with white and gold covering the details and contains more environmental protection gear than armour.
Backstory: Twig left the merchant guild he was apart of many years ago when he realized that his greed for money was not bringing joy to his life. He left that galaxy and ever since he kept moving from galaxy to galaxy trying to find his meaning among the stars. He collects rare resources for the galactic trade network and the more ruthless black market. His small size and survival skills has made him quite famous among the trading society.
Occupation: Hired Exotic Miner/Traveler
