It's 1982, and relations between the United States and the U.S.S.R. have been rapidly deteriorating for a good while now. The Cold War is in full swing. However, relations between Washington and Moscow seem worlds away for the teens of Normalville Highschool. Even with the town's recently completed, high-tech nuclear bunker, the teens don't seem to worry about it too much.
Well, that is, all except one.
David Hillard was always a bit of a strange one. Pale, nervous, he seemed to have a constant fear of the Commies mounting a nuclear attack or invading the U.S. One time, Craig and his football buddies almost gave him a meltdown through a (rather well-planned) prank to make it seem a nuclear attack was beginning. By leaving an ominous phone call in the middle of the night before temporarily cutting the power to David's place, he was completely fooled. Maybe you were one of the students that helped with it. Maybe you weren't.
It's late, and you're attending a party at Craig's place. His parents are out of town, and it's the perfect time. Say what you want about the guy, he knows how to throw a pretty wild party. Then again, maybe you were just dragged there by your friends. Or maybe you just showed up because you had nothing else to do. But that night, something strange happened.
At around 1 o'clock, David showed up at the party. He looked worse then usual, and had a backpack loaded to burst. It was strange, to be sure. David never came to parties, especially ones thrown by Craig. You watch as he goes from person to person, trying to tell them something, only for them to either laugh at him or push him away uncomfortably. Finally, David sees you and approaches you. In a desperate voice, he tells you that he received a call saying that the nuclear warheads were about to be launched and the world was about to dissolve to nuclear war. David sometimes had breakdowns like this, but something seemed... different, this time. More... real. He begs you to believe him and run for the bunker, because they only have about 45 minutes before the missile strikes begin. David goes on about how there's going to be a countrywide blackout any minute now, and right as he says that the power goes out in the town. He tells you that if you don't head to the bunker, you are going to die. Do you go with him? Do you believe him?
If you haven't caught on yet, you're playing a student that attends the small highschool in Normalville U.S.A. I plan on this being a relatively short RP, but maybe expanding Normalville into a series of RP's. I haven't seen many deliberately short RPs, so... I hope this works XD. As many people can join this RP as they want.

Name: Shawn Foster
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Appearance: Being the star pitcher of Normalville's high school baseball team, Shawn does his best to stay in shape. He's lean, but not skinny or weak. Shawn has blue eyes and blonde hair, and often wears a simple t-shirt and jeans. Shawn also wears a necklace with a cross most of the time.
Personality: Shawn is one to take charge in a situation, and tries to help out people the best he can. Basically, he's endowed with a large sense of leadership. That works well and good, but when people go against him Shawn tends to get some self doubt and question his own decisions.
Student year: Junior
Other: Him and Craig are not real big fans of one another, but they can't do anything about it because if they do, Coach Bryce would pretty much kill them both.
