I sincerely apologize for how long this took me, but with a little bit of help from Kyuu I was able to finish up my character. I hope you approve of your captain!
Name: Bronze Elio
Epithet: None Yet
Bounty: $0
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Species: Human
Appearance: Elio stands at about 6’0 and has defined muscle (around Zoro’s level). He has bronze hair that messily falls down to the level of his deep royal blue eyes. He wears pale blue henley shirt with two buttons undone at the collar and the sleeves rolled up to just below his elbows along with dark brown trousers tucked into camel colored boots. He also always wear a brown beaded bracelet on his right wrist.
Personality: Elio is a very charismatic and natural born leader. Upon meeting him, one would never guess his past filled with turmoil, suffering, and loss due to his forward thinking attitude and the smile cemented on his face. Elio is not one to let hardships keep him down, to survive the many he has been through he has adapted a “laugh in the midst of misery” mindset. However, while he may seem like a perfectly cheerful and jolly character, Elio greatly holds on to feelings of anger and hate, especially when one of his loved ones was wronged. This makes him one of the most terrifying forces when vengeful because no matter how long it takes or no matter the cost, Elio will use his natural cunning and unbreakable spirit to ensure his enemy will suffer tenfold.
Affiliations:
Role: Captain
Weapons: A Walnut Square tipped oar with him that his father had made for him when he was young. The oar is about his height (6’0). He carries the oar on his back like a sword.
Devil Fruit
Name: Hachou-Hachou No Mi (Wave Wave Fruit)
Description: The Hachou-Hachou no mi looks like a white dragonfruit that is gold on the top and has silver swirl patterns.
Type: Paramecia
Powers: The user can create wave like distortions on any surface (operates somewhat like Whitebeard’s/Blackbeard’s Gura-Gura no mi)
Weaknesses: Attacks are indiscriminate in nature (could harm allies or destruction if not careful)
How it was acquired: Kept on his home island as a treasure and was force fed it by his father, the village chief, in order to avoid it being taken by a devil fruit collector
Techniques:
- Splash- Elio takes a large backswing then brings his oar downwards then upwards, projecting a wave distortion.
- Crash- Elio holds his oar with both hands behind his head while concentrating the Hachou-Hachou no mi powers around the tip of the paddle (this creates an image of a transparent white orb with white streaks moving around it like waves) and then swings it forward, greatly amplifying its damage.
- Wake Surf- Elio stands on his oar and projects waves from the tip of it, allowing him to essentially “surf” on the air.
- Tidal- Elio swings his oar horizontally and downwards, creating a large wave that distorts the ground and moves forward quickly
- The Great Flood (unable to use yet)- Elio’s ultimate attack, he forcefully stabs his oar into the ground, projecting large waves outwards. These waves go out into the ocean and distort the ocean floor, creating large tsunamis that close in on the island from all directions
Home Island: Mount Piku, a singular giant island that juts our from the bottom of the ocean. The summit has fertile lands that the residents terrace farm. Inhabitants of this mountain are not wealthy, but are very content with their secluded lives.
Backstory: Elio was born the third child and second son of the chief of Mount Piku. While his birth status was not near as important as his siblings, Elio enjoyed a peaceful and happy life, often playing his days away with the fantastic local wild animals like flying betta fish and frost salamanders. This island, however, contained a secret: it was the home of the Hachou-Hachou no mi, a cousin devil fruit to the infamous Gura-Gura no mi. For years the island kept the fruit hidden. The few who knew Mount Piku hosted the dangerous fruit would find themselves lost in fog and shipwrecked during their pursuit thanks to Elio’s father’s devil fruit: the Kiri-Kiri no mi (fog-fog fruit).
It wasn’t until Elio’s 15th birthday that a treasure hunter subordinate of one of the emperor’s found his way through the fog with his Raven Zoan and raided the mountain looking for its treasure. Knowing he had to prevent the criminals taking the fruit, the chief concluded his overshadowed and relatively unknown son would be the perfect host to hide the wave fruit. Through his tears, Elio’s father explained the dire condition to his son, forcing him to eat the fruit and instructing him to take a canoe and paddle through a hidden tunnel that led to the base of the mountain and escape. As his father sealed the tunnel entrance, Elio caught a glance of the first villager being beheaded by the raven man.
He emerged at the exit of the tunnel hours later, and as he paddled away in the night, the light from his burning village allowed him to see a most horrific sight. His brother and other men from the village crying as they were escorted below deck to work as laborers, his mother and sister being stripped along with other women and branded as slaves, and the Raven man laughing as he sat on his throne of bones and precious stones, toying with the head of Elio’s father that now rested on a spike. Though his vision was blurred by the water that flooded his eyes, young Elio memorized the Jolly Rodger sprouting to black wings and the other with many jagged spine-like bones sprouting from the skull that flew above it to symbolize the mother crew, and he swore his revenge.
Weeks later, Elio found himself stranded on a wasteland of an island, disgusted by the way the air tasted. Nevertheless, he picked up his paddle and began training everyday for to years and schemed a way to enact his revenge.
