Adam slammed into the snow and air, before flicking a finger quickly, blinding the young man, and snapping his finger next, filling Josh's ears with a powerful noise, high pitched and deadly. Not enough to actually blow his ear drums out, but with his mind tricked into thinking so, it could very well happen.
Without saying a word, Adam then waved his hand to the left, forcing Josh to receive a feeling of hot fire scorching his skin. He didn't bother saying anything, as Josh wouldn't be able to hear it. So, instead, he grabbed a piece of jagged, discarded metal from the crash, stomping towards Josh, before stopping.
"You need to control your anger. Don't loose control." The young woman informed Adam as he glared at her. She only giggled at him. "Don't look at me like that. One day, you'll do something you regret. You don't want that, and I certainly don't either." She continued. Adam didn't want to give her the satisfaction that she was right, but her presence influenced him. He nodded slowly in agreement.
That was her power. Truth. No one could ever lie to her. It was impossible.
She died several months later. The day when they came and took Adam. He'd been in their custody for three years, until now...
Adam glared at Josh, before feeling a twinge of guilt, and ceased the illusion, dropping the metal.
He stood there for a few moments, staring at Josh, before finally saying quietly; "You're wasting my time, and everyone else's. Just do as I asked." With that, he turned briskly around, shaking his head at himself.
He wouldn't kill. Not a meta. Not because they were his 'kind', but because she was. He did it to honor her. To remember her.
