"No problem. I'm Miridia and unlike you can go into civilian life. I choose not to because I have friends here," Miridia shook her hands and rolled her shoulders. She got up off the ground and started toward the house, "now! I'm gonna go take a nap".

"Yeah, I'm fine," Casys replied. He turned to the East, where he had flown from last night. "I'm going to have to hunt down those poachers and retrieve my equipment." Casys reached instinctively for his axe that normally rested against his hip. I can't wait to get my stuff back.

Dasken walked up, eyes still pulsing with energy. "Who's this? Another one of -" he noted the wings on the person, and blinked. A tear came to his eye. "C...Casys? Is that... Is that you? I thought you were..." Dasken tried with all of his might and willpower to not fall to his knees, to not tear up, and to show no weakness for his old friend. "I thought you... with the rest of the village..."

Casys looked at the stranger for a moment, not recognizing him until something clicked. "Dasken?" Casys gasped. "I thought you died in that explosion!" Casys' eyes started to tear up, but he wiped them away. It's great to see someone from home! Casys thought. "How have you been?' Casys asked Dasken. "How did you survive?"

Dasken looked down. "Casys..." He looked up, eyes pained and near tears. "I caused the explosion. My powers activated, and... and everything escalated..."

Casys was stunned as the words left Dasken's lips. "What-," Casys breathed. Tears welled up in his eyes, as he remembered his childhood with Dasken and their friends. "Myra, Lillie, Damon-," Casys whispered. "-That was you?"

Dasken's eyes became dark, despite the light pouring forth. His body crackled with an intense aura, and the space between the two heated up immensely. The ground rattled.
"It wasn't intentional. All of this power... I never even wanted it. I would love to just die and have it be no issue anymore. I would love to be free of this burden and carry on with life normally. But I can't." The aura began to soread around Akron and Lyric, pushing them both towards Dasken and Casys. "It was never my intent to kill them. But I did. And I must pay."

Akron jerked back against the strange pull, holding Lyric close. "Dasken, stop!" He turned to Casys. "Yeah, ever since that event, Dasken seems to go out of control with his powers during a flashback of one of his not-so-good memories." He finally got out of the pull and grasped Lyric's arm, dragging her out as well.

Casys glanced around nervously, sensing the aura Dasken was emitting but not quite knowing what exactly it was. That's the same feeling I got when Dasken blew up the village, he thought. Casys spread his wings and flew upwards, out of the radius of the aura. "Dasken," he called, "Snap out of it!"

Dasken locked up. His aura spread to the mansion, crumbling the corners. The brickwork evaporated. "I never wanted to do it. I can never be forgiven." The light in his eyes intensified, and the emotion on his face evaporated. His aura also spread upwards, towards Casys, and outwards, towards Lyric and Akron. The suction grew stronger and stronger, the dome of power around Dasken growing.

"Dasken!" Casys yelled as he was knocked out of the sky. He landed on his feet, and raised his hands toward Dasken. "Guys-," Casys called to Akron and Miridia, "-I might be able to stop him!" Casys felt the air around Dasken for the water molecules in the air, and he drew theem away from Dasken. This might knock him out, Casys thought.

Akron, instead of running away, put Lyric in a safe place and walked toward the aura. 'Miridia, Dasken's gone berserk again. We need a neutralizer.' "Dasken, even if you don't forgive yourself, we do. We forgive you for wahtever you've done, okay? Please, just relax and stop this."

With the oxygen gone in the air, Dasken's animalistic instincts kicked in. The aura grew twice as fast and became thrice as hot, and all of a sudden the aura got sucked into Dasken. He glowed blindingly. He managed to mutter, "Run." Before energy exploded violently out of him. The blast radius was the entire mansion, and the shock wave that followed was by far stronger than Dasken's fist flying into Akron not ten minutes before.

Casys flapped his powerful wings once, twice, before he zoomed into the air, rushing to get out of the blast range. "What have I done," he breathed as he raced upward. He looked down at the gargantuan explosion, his eyes widening as he watched it from above.

Akron summoned a huge rock dome to cover the explosion, but even that wasn't enough, as Dasken's explosion tore through the wall. Akron kept forming domes until finally, only heat blazed through the air. Akron panted for a while before collapsing and falling unconscious.

Dasken's body launched itself into an area with air, now completely glowing dark cyan. The ground which he walked on had his footmark inprinted in it, ashen and smoking. His eyes' blaze whisped around his body, and he stood in an apelike position, then on his own two legs. "Wake up Akron. We have to train him." He turned to Akron, and made an explosion beneath him. Akron flew into the air, then manipulating his kinetic and potential energy, Dasken made him land and stand up. "James needs to heal him."

Vex continued walking through the woods hurriedly, "Seems like this should be far enough out of the public eye."
He looked around the small clearing, a wave of relief washing over as he could finally drop his guard, he began setting up camp.
After a few moments he jumped up from the sound of a large explosion off in the distance.
"Whats that...." He squinted, standing there for a moment before going wide eyed.
A large wall of energy came roaring at him. He crossed his arms over his face as the blast hit.
His clothes were singed and burns began to appear all over his body. "Rrrrrghh!"
After a few moments the energy subsided and Vex fell to his knees breathing heavily. The burns on his body slowly began and he struggled to his feet.
"What was that!?!" he yelled looking around at his destroyed campsite before running off in the direction the explosion came from.

Dasken sensed the intruder and flashe din front of him - literally. His fist flew faster than the eye could see, surrounded in explosive power, and threw a punch that leveled the forested area around them. He then used the force to apply the same amount of force and damage to Vex as he had originally to launch back into place.
It all took place within three seconds.

Vex ran up the hill only to see a flash of light and a large explosion. After a few moments the dust cleared to show Vex standing there, covered in burns that slowly healed. "Okay, fine!" his eyes turned bright orange while he stared at Dasken. Vertigo....he´ll barely be able to stand but it should help calm him down...he thought to himself.

Vex released the vertigo and stared at Dasken for a moment. He had become accustom to reading people´s faces. He slowly began to walk forward, healing as quickly as he was burned. "Ya know ive gotten pretty good at reading people over the years!" he yelled over the intense explosions. "And ive gotta say, it been awhile since ive seen that much hurt in someones eyes!" He threw his hands over his face, the power of the explosions increasing as he got closer.

Dasken looked at him, regaining control, and the explosions intensified even more. A few sonic booms triggered around him, shock waves flowing forward. "You know nothing about me."

Vex lowered his arm, wincing as he walked forward. "Well, I may not know you personally, but I know your hurting..." Vex walked forward, a much more calm look spreading across his face as he got close to Dasken, stopping a short distance away just to be safe. "And I can confidently say, you clearly dont mean to hurt anybody, ive seen powers bring out the worst in people but here you are, fighting it. Look, I cant change your past, but what I can tell you is..." he slowly stepped forward, getting dangerously close to Dasken, crossing his arms and putting on a friendly smile. "It wasnt your fault..."

A look flashed in Dasken's face; a look of true and pure shock, if only for a moment. The explosions began to slow, then get stronger, then slow again, almost like Dasken's powers began to replicate his heartbeat.

"Hi....im Vex. I came out here to hide. Ive caused a lot of trouble but I couldnt help it." He scratched the back of his head looking down for a moment. "I couldnt control my powers....and people got hurt, people I cared about." Vex put his hand on Dasken's shoulder. He winced from the intense heat but held through. "....I can tell your like me...so I want you to relax. Just let it all go..."

Dasken flinched at the touch, and the aura intensified harshly for a few seconds. The force pushed Vex back a little bit, then the aura slowed and didn't speed back up. "You don't... you have no idea... you cannot understand... nobody can understand..."

Vex stood there for a moment contemplating his next words. He finally looked up with a slick grin on his face as he shrugged, "I understand, not perfectly but I do understand. Ill tell you what I wouldve wanted to hear. Stop blaming yourself for something you couldnt control...its NOT your fault."

"No... no, they told me... all I had was them... I trusted them..." his aura flared back to life. The heat erupted twice as hot, explosions triggering twice as fast.

Vex's anger intensified. "You trusted the wrong people! But you can fix that now!" He took one step forward almost completely on fire now. "Why would I waste my time if you werent worth it?! Just trust me! You can TRUST ME!" Vex began to slide back from the force of the explosions. "I will help you!"

Dasken stopped.
"Help? Help...me...?"
The aura dispersed. His eyes became normal. The heat dissipated.
"Help... me?"
He fell to his knees, face contorted in sorrow.
"Help...me..."
A single tear fell from Dasken's eye.

Vex stood there for a moment breathing heavily before stumbling over to Dasken, falling to his knees from exhaustion. "...Ill help you...." he sat there for a moment with his head down before looking up, the same slick smile as before back. "So....whats....your name?" he said with a weak laugh.

"M...my... my name?" Dasken stood up shakily, body popping and fizzing from recharging his powers. "My name... Dasken..." he blinked away the tears in his eyes.

Miridia teleported over as fast as she could. She saw Lyric move to do the same. The two nodded to eachother and Miridia went to akron, a healing spell already active by the time she slid down beside him. Lyric walked over to dasken and couched down beside him, "dasken? It's my Lyric? You ok bud"?

"Want to come get ice cream with me? I found Miridia's store of the stuff while I was looking for frozen peas. Seriously she has tons of it," she sat down infront of him and gently reached out to take his hand. A smile was on her face as she looked at him, "remover what me and James said earlier today. As many chances as you need".

Casys flew back down to the ground, landing on both feet and surveying the damage. He had witnessed Vex and Dasken's struggle, but his mind was elsewhere. Dasken killed everyone, he thought. Casys shook his head to clear it, and spread his wings. I need to get my equipment back from those poachers, he thought as he flew to the East.
