"There comes a day when the sun turns dark, an overheard conversation shall bring forth a time of war
On a journey the heroes will embark, to put a stop to this uproar"

This was the prophecy spoken by the oracle of Delphi. And now it appears that it is coming to fruition.

Apollo is missing. No one knows where he has gone. And this brings the remaining Olympians distress. They blame each other for what has happened. And all of them feel insulted by the others. Tensions are high. It is but a matter of time before this conflict escalates into a full-blown war.

The demigods, which have begun to take notice of the rising tensions, wish to prevent this war from happening, but what could they possibly hope to accomplish on their own?

————————

Sam
Despite the tensions between the gods, Sam was just as cheerful as ever. They knew little about the prophecy, or about Apollo’s disappearance. Maybe that’s why they felt comfortable enough to still be playing pranks on people. They were often told that they should’ve grown out of such childish habits by now. But Sam didn’t care. If playing pranks on people was “childish”, then what did adults do to have fun? Have tea parties and gossip about Susan in HR? That was not for Sam, they would’ve gone mad. Sam was barely capable of being still for more than five seconds. They needed stimulation. At all times. It just so happened that they were also fond of releasing ants into the Aphrodite cabin.

Sam and their younger brother Nick were hard at work on this. They had found a hole in the wall behind the cabin and they poured out the ants from a jar they had used to transport them. The prank wasn’t the most well-thought out, but if the ants stayed in the cabin for at least a few hours, they could count this prank as successful. If the ants decided that they liked the smell of perfume, then Sam and Nick would be responsible for the whole cabin becoming a home for the ants. But that wouldn’t happen, right? Surely not. Sam finished pouring out the ants and turned to Nick. He had been making sure they wouldn’t get caught.
“Okay, it’s done. Let’s go,” they whispered and began scurrying away from the cabin. They would have to sneak between the cabins and hope that no one would notice them. Luckily, Sam and Nick had the ultimate way to hide their identities. Sam transformed into a raccoon before scurrying around to the back of the next cabin.

Jake
Jake was in the arena. He was trying to avoid people as much as possible by seeming busy with training. It wasn’t that he didn’t like people, he did, but he needed time for himself too. He could get overwhelmed easily. He swung his sword against the dummy and cut through the arm. It was to be expected. The dummy had been used a lot. It was often that they needed to make new ones for training. This one had seen the end of its life. Throughout all the years that Jake had been at camp, he had gone through quite a number of dummies. And he had learned how to make new ones. It wasn’t all that complicated. Not as complicated as living things at least. He was still confused by the living. The dead just made more sense to him. But… Tim Alexander was an exception. Jake blushed as Tim’s face appeared in his mind. He was lucky to have Tim in his life.

(Me and @Shikowara have discussed the relationship between Jake and Tim before. The two boys are dating. They’re in the beginning of their relationship)

Mia
Mia wasn’t the most athletic among the demigods, nor the strongest. She preferred it that way. She didn’t want to harm anyone. Which is why she never picked out a weapon for herself.

Enjoying the silence and the sunshine, Mia was sitting in a patch of grass just outside the strawberry fields, watching some other demigods pick strawberries. Part of her wanted to join them. But she felt like it would be better to stay where she was. She knew that if she approached them, she wouldn’t be able to talk anyway. She never could. One time a Hermes kid had called her “blonde Komi-san”, but she wasn’t sure what that meant. And her confused expression had made the Hermes kid awkward and they took off soon after. Mia pulled her legs in towards her body and placed her chin on her knees. She felt lonely, but she didn’t dare try to fix her problem.

"Brad, I have to come clean..."

"What is it Miriam?"

"I can't be with you anymore..."

"What?! Darling, why do you say such things??"

"I haven't felt the spark in so long now...I'm sorry Brad."

An old VCR TV buzzed in a dimly lit cabin bedroom. The outdated device was at the end of the bunkbed of a youth who lay there with a bowl of popcorn and an assortment of beverages to their left. His bedsheets seemed light and fluffy, odd considering the typical accommodations. This was Wyatt's place of dwelling. He was watching a cheesy romantic show that he had on hand, a few scattered VHS tapes at the end of the bed showed his lineup of those that he burned through already.

"It's the Butler, isn't it?! I knew there was something peculiar about the two of you as of late!!"

"Carlisle cares about me for me, not for my money Brad! It's about love, something you wouldn't understand!"

Wyatt rolled his eyes. "Stupid, you think letting that guy know is gonna make your situation any better? You shoulda escaped the other night when you had the chance you dull broomstick."

To be honest? Sometimes he just tuned on shows like this to distract himself from all the senses he was picking up. He had the ability to detect things others were otherwise oblivious of. Drama. Internal struggle. Angst. All that yucky stuff. Romantic shows helped him focus on one thing. With Camp Half Blood there's a lot of messed up kids with lots of pent up anxieties. Truly a bacteria culture of teenage issues. So his radar was always pinging active.

Must think that's a big curse, right?

Nope. Not really. He actually loved it. Like a bunch of routes to take in a video game or questlines just waiting to be finished. Problem is? Just like in most of the games with a bunch of side quests - he gets bored. Sometimes it's not worth getting out of bed to go mess with unless it's something rather strong and juicy.

Teddy
The rather unfortunate son of Zeus stood in the distance around the cabins, a concerned composure to his face. The young demigod didn't know what it was, but something about the nature of today felt... off. Teddy found himself staring forlornly at the Apollo Cabin from the distance; only to see some sort of raccoon sniffling about the cabins in broad daylight, causing him to break his gaze. He snapped back to reality, shortly turning on his heel as he elected to settle his restless spirit at the arena. The wretched memory of having lost a practice spar against an Ares kid yesterday began festering in his mind, and it decidedly kept his other emotions at bay for the time being. As he set out, he felt that even walking with his own two feet seemed to be some sort of challenge for him, as if a great nausea or confusion was disturbing his subconscious, or as if a part of him already knew what was brewing in the skies above.

Regardless, he managed to wobble his way into the arena, rubbing his head as a timid headache began to take its toll. In the middle of thinking about how much he would just like to clobber his head into not hurting again (as nonsensical as it was), he was somewhat surprised to see Jake, a Hades kid he had faintly seen around from time to time. What really surprised Teddy was that, for once, the boy's face wasn't exuding what he previously thought was dread or anxiety, but apparently overcome with sentimentality. This caused an involuntary "Wh-what?" to espouse from his lips, but he almost immediately wished he could rescind it, out of both a fear of bringing unneeded attention to himself and out of his rather basal understanding of someone who was, more-or-less, a stranger to him.

Ken
The rythmic sounds of Ken's fists hitting the dummy in front of him were loud and dense sounding. He was strong even for an Ares kid so he'd requested a few metal dummies to train on last year after getting in trouble for breaking an extraordinary amount of equipment. The dummy was covered in large dents and scrapes from Ken's fists, he had good technique but usually relied simply on utilising his strength. He paused a moment, it was only when he wasn't practicing that his feminine like physique was more noticeable, breathing slightly heavy as he glanced towards the other side of the arena, Jake had arrived at the arena not long after Ken that morning but he had seemed uninterested in conversation so Ken had opted to leave him to himself. He watched as Teddy approached the arena and go over to where Jake was, he shrugged and returned to his practice deeming that he would probably go over if it looked liked they'd be interested in chatting, for now he focused on his punches. He breathed in deep and then began to strike the dummy again the sound of the Celestial Bronze on his gloves striking the metal dummy wrang out.

Anastasia
Stood against the side of the Hermes cabin Anastasia glanced around at the other cabins before glancing back at the cabin she'd called home for the last seven years. It was strange for someone of her age to still be around at camp, the sad truth was a lot of demigods didn't live that long and most that do choose to go back to their families or start lives of their own. But camp was all she knew anymore, she would stick around and as long as she was allowed, she loved it here, she didn't even mind the cramped Hermes Cabin. She paused on the sight of a raccoon scurrying away from the Aphrodite cabin, she sighed but smiled slightly as well, she had a pretty good idea who that may be. She walked to the cabin the raccoon had gone to hide behind ending up behind it she cleared her throat "I'm gonna assume that's you Sam, otherwise I'm over here talking to a regular енот, sorry raccoon" she stated as she stood with her arms crossed "so what exactly were you up to at the Aphrodite cabin this time?"

Bianca
Bee loved picking the strawberries, it was a nice calming activity and she did it pretty often whenever she wasn't reading. In her 6 months since arriving at this place she had found many things she enjoyed and many she did not, her half siblings were definitely on her not so fond of list. It was even worse when she discovered her constant love aura was a rare thing for Aphrodite's children, she had dealt wirh that issue quickly by making a perfume that countered the effects of her love aura. One of her favourite things about camp was the amount of knowledge held here it was all so fascinating. She would probably go do a spot of reading later but for now she was content with the calming task of picking strawberries.

Nicolas Nick Hernández
Nick leaned against the Aphrodite Cabin wall, making sure no one would spot him and his older sibling Sam. He had a little smirk on his face. He loved messing with the Aphrodite kids. Sometimes he wondered why Sam chose him to be a look out. He was partially blind in his left eye. He ran a finger over the scar. It was an accident that happened last summer. It wasn’t a big deal though. Like I said, it was an accident.
When Sam signaled for them to go, Nick quickly transformed into a red-winged blackbird. It was a very common bird in North America, so it was probably subtle enough. He flew above Sam as they went and hid in between a couple cabins. Nick landed on top of one of the roofs, looking around. He liked being able to see so much, especially because of his lack of vision. He flapped his little bird wings happily. This was fun. He was a lot happier at Camp than he was at school. School was horrible. In more ways than one. He looked down at Sam and giggled. He was glad he met them. They knew how to cheer him up.

Tim Alexander
Sitting in the Athena Cabin, Tim was attempting to read a book. I say attempting because he would get stuck on a word or a sentence for a while because it didn’t make sense. He’d struggled with dyslexia since he was little. He’d never gotten help for it, so even at the age of 17, he struggled a lot.
They set the book down with a sigh, looking out the window, as if trying to find a reason to go outside. He’d kept himself cooped up in the cabin in his free time. He wanted to get away from the noise, the people… It was hard when there were so many chaotic kids here.
He noticed a raccoon running away from the Aphrodite Cabin. He rolled his eyes. He had a hunch on who that was. The Hermes kids were always up to something and he was tired of it. He had the urge to go out there and tell them off for whatever they were doing, but decided it was best just to leave it. Also, maybe it really was a raccoon and he was just being paranoid.
He picked up a pen and started to fidget with it and bite his lip. I really should go out and do something before I get a little too restless... They set the pen down and stood up, exiting the cabin to go for a walk around the property. It was nice and warm out in the sun. He should have come out sooner.

David Athas
The world doesn’t revolve around people. It never did. As David grew up, he never thought he was the main character, but he never thought he’d end up being such a background character. Someone with no lines and barely remembered. It felt like every time he talked, people couldn’t hear him. It’s like he was on mute.
He practiced silently in the quiet arena. The only sound that could be heard were blades against the training dummies. He heard someone speak and paused, looking over briefly. It was Teddy- The- Theo? Theoton? Theogold? Something. The Zeus kid. David ran a hand through his brown and pink hair before going back to what he was doing.
His two-handed battle axe had been used a lot over the years. He couldn’t imagine parting with it. Death would have to pry them apart. Even then, he wants it buried with him. It was too special. It was the love he’d never experience.

Tik-tik-tik-tik-tik-tik-tik—

Cruz watched in fascination as the palm-sized mechanical cat she had been working on for the past week waddled across the courtyard. Not even the raccoon that scurried noisily past the Aphrodite cabin could distract her from her intense scrutiny of the Whiskers’ maiden voyage. Cruz held her breath as the rattling metal kitten encountered a pebble — its first outdoor obstacle! — and felt like a proud mother as a muddy paw sent it skittering a few inches away.

Tik-tik-tik-tik-MROW—

The Whiskers let out a tinny mew as one of its legs stopped moving back and forth. At least its error message worked, thought Cruz as she lifted the metal kitten and flicked the switch on its stomach to stop the motors. Maybe something had gotten stuck in a gap; Cruz had tried to make the Whiskers fault-tolerant, but the Hephaestus cabin’s monthly Maker’s challenge had been to build something out of scrap. There was only so much she can do with discarded utensils, lost screws, old servos, and foil.

Cruz poked around in the leg joint with a screwdriver, heard something click, and tried the switch again.

Tik— tik— tik—

Well, schnitzel. She’d done gone and made it worse. Cruz turned the Whiskers off again, then stood with a sigh, holding the cat upside-down cradled in her left hand. Back to the workbench, she supposed.

Sam
Sam was surprised when Anastasia, a daughter of Boreas, came over and talked to them. How could she possibly have known it was them? No… she seemed unsure. So Sam channeled their inner actor to pretend to be an actual wild animal. They chittered angrily at the woman and stood up on their hind legs to make themself seem more intimidating. They needed to make this seem as real as possible. They couldn’t let anyone find out what they were doing until someone had fallen for the prank. Hopefully Nick had gotten away. He probably had. Which meant that Sam could try to get away again. They got back on all fours and sprinted past Anastasia to get away. Now they would need to find some place to hide when they transformed back. Maybe up in a tree? One nearby the canoe lake would probably be for the best. No one would question them if they came from that direction. So that’s what they decided upon. Hopefully Nick could get away as well. They didn’t like that they left each other back there, but it was better to separate to make it more difficult for them to get caught.

Sam continued sprinting through the trees on the way to the canoe lake to make it harder for anyone to follow them, though their legs started aching and they began breathing harder. Sam was in good shape, but even they had their limit. They came to a stop beside a tree and looked around to see if anyone was there. After confirming that they were alone, they began climbing the tree. After getting up on a branch, they decided that they should wait for just a minute before transforming back to make sure that no one would see them.

Jake
Jake was caught off guard when someone spoke next to him. It almost caused him to jump in fear, but it instead made him quickly turn his head toward the speaker. Given that Jake often scowled, this would likely make it seem as though Jake was annoyed by the speaker, but this was far from true. Jake wanted to talk to people, he just had trouble relating to them. The dead were more accommodating in his experience. And the fact that he had been at camp full time since he was 8 years old, only made it all the more difficult to relate.

The one who spoke was Teddy, one of Jake’s cousins. He was one of Zeus’ children. He seemed nice, albeit also a rather shy boy like Jake. This made conversation between them difficult. Especially with how Jake was rather off-putting to most. He supposed this was thanks to his father’s aura of death which Jake had inherited, coupled with his usual scowl.
“Can I help you?” he asked his cousin with a gruff voice.

Mia
Mia stood up from where she had been sitting. She had enough of just sitting around. Maybe she could go down to the stables and check on the pegasi. Mia had always loved horses, and pegasi were just so beautiful. Their huge wings, their beautiful manes and the various colors and patterns made each and every one equally as beautiful. And riding one was among the best feelings in the world. She loved flying.

Mia began walking toward the stables to check on the pegasi. On the way, she passed by the U-shape of the cabins. Before she passed them though, she spotted one of the Hephaestus kids trying out a new invention. Mia was about to brush it off and continue walking, but when she saw that it was a mechanical kitten, her interest was piqued. She watched in awe as the kitten walked around. When it ultimately failed, however, she was saddened by it. It was a shame. It was a beautiful invention. She watched as the owner picked up the cat and saw that it was Cruz Finnegan. She hadn’t registered that it was her, she had been too preoccupied with the cat. Part of her told her that she could go and try to help her, but she was much too nervous. She wouldn’t be able to say anything anyway so there was no point in trying… Instead, she just kept walking towards the stables, occasionally glancing back towards the cat.

Anastasia
She watched the raccoon that she was now pretty sure was Sam scurry away, she contemplated running after them but she just sighed and walked back towards the courtyard in the middle of the cabins, muttering to herself in russian "Чёрт, такой надоедливый маленький негодяй" she glanced up at the sky for a second and shivered slightly "damn warm weather" she muttered, this time in English as she wrapped her jacket closer to her body. She loved her powers and the whole not being cold during the winter and what not was great but the stupid feeling cold during the warm weather was a little annoying, "thanks for that one dad" she muttered only to have a little unexplained cold wind knock her forward "jeez I get it, don't be ungrateful* she said glancing at the sky before turning her gaze back to her surroundings.

Ken
Stopping his strikes again, Ken turned to glance over on Jake and Teddy's location again and shrugged to himself "ah screw it, might as well go hi" he said to himself before walking over, massaging his wrists, something he usually did after a work out to chill out. He reached the pair still breathing a little heavy from his long training session. He smiled and did a little wave, moving a stray strand of hair behind his ear "hey you two, noticed you ever here while I was training figured I'd come over and say good morning or what not" he stated with a large grin.
@Your-Friday-Filet (Teddy)
@Killerbunny the god (Jake)

Teddy
Before Teddy could get a chance to respond to his foreboding cousin, his attention was quickly diverted to an approaching figure, about the same height as himself, but slightly more lanky in appearance. Teddy had a rather anxious look now, torn between interacting with either him or Jake. As the former seemed more amicable, he stifled a smile and shifted his composure accordingly. Something about the boy's demeanor led Teddy to believe he was an Ares kid, causing a slight irk in his tone of voice. "Right, good morning..." he kept his head down however, somewhat unused to talking to someone on his eye level. Swiftly, and seemingly as though he had forgotten about the other boy, he looked back down to Jake, who had regained that ferocious glint in his eyes. He had to come up with some sort of justification for why he had approached his cousin other than his own babbling nature, and he cleared his throat. "And, I was just wondering... Jake, was it? Why don't we... uh... have a few practice rounds together? I don't think I've ever had the opportunity to face you before!" his voice seemed to raise and solidify as he finished speaking, but he had just now realized he had left his spear in the armory. Gulping slightly, he tried to look decisively into Jake's eyes, but his vision faltered and he gazed elsewhere; he always had quite the trouble with the intimidating presence emitted by some demigods, in spite of his own.

As the movie played on and the campy plot unfolded, he found his nose twitching. He recognized that feeling. Something was a stirring that could lead to a good watch. Better than this C grade film at any rate.

"Hmmm...I was looking to have a lazy day here and all, buuuut I'll compromise if I get to bring a snackum or two."

Grabbing his bowl of popcorn, with a snap of his fingers, the bowl vanished from view, turning completely invisible. With a bounce off of his bed, he stood up with a rather laid back posture, putting a finger to his cheek, figuring the direction of all this he was picking up. Wordlessly, his index finger hung towards the direction of the arena. A smirk crossing his face.

Now, why don't we peruse the local offerings?

Nick saw Sam run away from Anastasia, so he followed suit and flew towards the Hermes Cabin. He landed behind it and transformed back into himself. He went to the front of the cabin and looked around. He couldn’t spot Sam. He wasn’t entirely sure where they went. He decided to try and find them, going the way he’d seen them run off.
He walked through the grass and trees as he made his way to the canoe lake. There was a path, but Nick didn’t feel like finding it. He’d rather take the little detour he’d made five seconds ago. His mom tended to do the same thing. She knew there was a path, but she always liked an adventure. He wanted to be like her. Fearless and adventurous. She may have been called Dolores the Explorer in middle school (both due to racism and just bullying), but she didn’t let that stop her from having fun. And he wasn’t either.

Tim Alexander
Thinking to themselves, Tim wondered if he should go towards the lake, the strawberry field, or somewhere else on his walk. He often enjoyed the surroundings at camp, though he often forgot to appreciate them properly. Tim then decided he’d go visit Chiron. He was someone they found…pleasant. Especially if he was in his own head.
As he walked through the grass of the cabin area, he saw Cruz Finnegan messing with a little robot cat. He thought it was really interesting. He always liked seeing the Hephaestus kids’ creations. “Hello, Cruz,” he greeted her politely. “What do you have here?” He asked. He figured a little detour wouldn’t be too bad.

David Athas
David listened wordlessly to the other teens. He stopped again when heard Teddy ask Jake if they could go for a few rounds. David had made it a point to fight anyone he’d found worthy of fighting. Jake was one of those few. He’d fought him on a number of occasions, but he’d never pass up a chance to duel once again. Especially since he’d never won. It had always been so close. So close. It’d left him in a place where one of his only goals was to defeat Jake in a battle. He was so strong and very skilled. So was David, but Jake was the son of Hades. A very powerful god with very powerful children.
“I’ll go after.” He spoke up, monotone, resting his large axe over his shoulder. He’s killed with that axe. Not people, but monsters. Well. ‘Not people’ was debatable.

Cruz wiggled the Whiskers’ bad leg with a pensive frown, trying to think if she could hear a screw loose in the mechanism. Another wiggle and a pebble fell out of the joint and rolled into the grass. Part of the problem, at least, Cruz mused.

A voice snapped her out of her problem-solving, and she straightened up to meet Tim’s gaze with a grin. “Oh, hey!” Cruz greeted him brightly. “This is the Whiskers.” She held up the little tin cat proudly. “Her maiden voyage was a little rough, but I’m gonna fix her up real good. I think it’s somethin’ to do with the motor, somethin’ stuck in it. How’re you doing?”
