Koda watched Aine and Schrift from the other end of the pool, legs dipping in the water as she sat beside Izuku.
“They’re cute together. Schrift and Aine. They get along so easily.” She said, more to herself than Izuku.
“Me pregunto si podríamos ser nosotras.” She mumbled, purposefully in her native language. Despite how close they’d gotten, and the fact that Koda was practically always clinging on to him, she still couldn’t bring herself to openly talk to Izuku about her feelings.
“Mucho gracias, Izuku. Thank you- for everything. You’re my first friend since Mexico, you know. And I only had one back then, too.” She laughed, tucking her hair behind her ear. “But thanks to you, now I have a bunch.”

“So that’s why he’s here.” She said quietly, her arms falling limp. It took everything in her not to fall to her knees. This is it. It’s over.
Koda wanted to run away before anyone could pick up what was going to happen, but they deserved to know. It would be rude if she disappeared forever without explanation.
