Pokemon Diamond Rival

I heard a rumor that if you beat your rival a certain amount of times on the island with Battle Tower on it (I can't remember its name at the moment), you can unlock other regions of the pokemon world. Can anyone tell me if this is true?

sadly, that was lie from where ever you heard it, you're stuck in the Sinnoh region. It would be nice if you could go to other regions, but then, it be way to easy to get other pokemon that aren't orignally in the region.

thought so. Should have known from the numbers, but I had to ask. Seriously, now that I think about it, theres now way the Pokemon Game Makers, or whatever they are called, would spread out the unlocked regions (following order- Hoen, Johto, Kanto) over 100, 1000, and 10,000 wins...
