While yesterday brought along a lot of news to do with Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon thanks to E3, today Nintendo Treehouse started off with a developer Q&A regarding Pokémon GO. Thanks to the session we have learnt the following information, as well as a release window for the mobile game.
While a solid release date for the game has not yet been confirmed, it was stated that they aim for it to be before Pokémon GO Plus is released.
- Pokémon GO will include Pokémon from all generations eventually, it starts off with the first 150 because of the 20th anniversary.
- Junichi Masuda is working on the music for the game.
- A camera function will be included allowing you to take pictures of the Pokémon you meet.
- Eventually Pokémon GO will give you the ability to trade with other players, but the developers want to wait until players have a good selection of Pokémon before adding the feature.
- Pokémon GO is likely have some kind of connection to the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games in the future.
- The idea of evolving Pokémon has changed as players now evolve Pokémon by giving them candy. You collect candy by catching Pokémon. This is because the developers wanted to keep players active rather than having to grind their Pokémon like in the main series.
