Hello, reader! Thanks for stopping in to check out this rp idea. I'm recently returning from a multi-year hiatus on writing, and I dearly missed sharing the experience of crafting a story with others, so I'm hopeful I can get a few of you to join me on this adventure in rekindling my writing passion! Without further ado, the plot.
Interstellar is a multi-region spanning story taking place in the world of Pokémon, eight decades after the events of Sword and Shield (not including gen 9 yet for game spoiler reasons but your OC can be from Paldea). Life as we know it on Earth has become a paradise in a way, humans and Pokémon living in near perfect harmony and helping each other to achieve an easier way of living; the economy is well, crime is on the decline, and most folks have it good nowadays. However, as seems to be pattern in the world of Pokémon, peace can never last forever. Looming in the background are the dark remnants of the past.
Biding their time and awaiting their moment to shine again is Team Interstellar, a combined force of multiple evil organizations, headed by the descendants of the villains defeated by the series protagonists long ago. The new Team Rocket, Team Plasma, Team Galactic, and Team Flare have joined together in an attempt to realize what they view as their forefathers dreams; A new world in which they are at the top. Each with their own ideals and motives, the four powerhouse groups are about to make their first move towards their goals.
With the worlds state of readiness at an all time low, few remain with the power to stop such a powerful force. Will you join in the effort to stop this sinister group and save the world? Perhaps you'll decide you are on their side and join them? Maybe you'll craft a new story altogether, one of your own. The boundaries are essentially limitless in this completely open world rp that is open to join now!
This small dump of info is regarding what is and isn't allowed in the details of your Pokémon. Within reason, I hope to leave room for everyone to have unique and fun teams at their disposal and the ability to use their 'mons creatively to solve problems in the story as well as write some awesome battles! That being said, here are the rules;
•Other Rules and FAQ•
•Please be capable of writing at least a half paragraph in each of your posts.
•You may not play a descendant of a past protagonist, champion, etc. Create your own character and craft your own story!♥
•Do not create a Mary Sue/Gary Stu for this rp. Characters with no flaws or room to grow will be denied.
•Don't be scared to interact! This is a place to write together, so let's create a story we can be proud of.
•Respect other writers and interactions. Don't purposely ruin events or other writers moments for growth or development.
•Be creative! Unique characteristics, quirks, or traits are acceptable within reason for both characters and Pokémon.
•Make it make sense. Cool moments and parts of a character are awesome, but try to avoid making yourself OP or "the main character", so everyone gets a chance to shine in the spotlight.
•You don't have to stick to the main plot line! Create your own stories by giving your characters goals and challenges to overcome.
•Money is not going to have a set system, however don't abuse this. If your character is not filthy rich, play them as such.
•Travel between regions is allowed, however it is costly to book transport/strenuous on any Pokémon you may use to do so.
•Interdimensional and Time travel are off-limits without approval.
•Being a Gym Leader, E4, Champion, etc. must be discussed thoroughly before being approved.
•Multiple characters are allowed as long as you can keep track of everything.
•Have fun! If this starts to die, the last poster is responsible for bumping it with a reply.

Team Interstellar is a newly formed group led by the descendants of former evil team leaders and made up of other fanatics, specifically the likes of the new generations of Team Rocket, Galactic, Plasma, and Flare.
Each section of the group, of which there are four, are primarily focussed on their own individual goals; learning from the failures of their ancestors though, they have decided to band together for a greater chance at success.
Team Rocket is led by Giavanna, a red-haired female with a direct bloodline tying her to Giovanni. Her teams ultimate goal is to amass riches by any means necessary to control the world via financial means. They are primarily in charge of the financial side of Team Interstellar and have been using increasingly aggressive tactics to raise funds. They operate out of Kanto and eventually (later in the story) Johto.
Team Galactic is headed by a blue-haired man named Cryo, the multi-great grandson to Cyrus. Obsessed with his forefathers goal to reshape the universe, he doesn't mind including the will of the other evil teams if it means he gets what he wants. The new Plasma's are the ones taking the lead in Interstellar's scientific research. Their primary operations are in Sinnoh.
Team Plasma is another team set on ruling the world, though their leader has a different vision than that of Ghetsis. A masked man calling himself Z is at the forefront of Plasma, acknowledging that taking away the ability to own Pokémon isn't enough and is focussed on harnessing the power of Pokémon for themselves so none are able to resist their takeover. Their endeavors will begin taking place in Unova.
Team Flare is being commandeered by a blonde named Lillian, who claims to be related to Lysander openly despite an unclear lineage. The lass is assured by her own conviction that the world is corrupt and needs Interstellar to restore order between man and Pokémon. With the help of the other teams, she hopes to find a way to construct a new superweapon and use it to restart civilization in Interstellar's image. Their plans are set to take place in Kalos.

The Pokémon League in recent decades has become even more prominent and important in society, as have contests and other competitions involving the training of Pokémon. With the sudden boom in popularity within the sport of raising Pokémon to the best of their potential, gyms and the like have remained in great shape over the years and the title of Gym Leader, Elite Four, and even Champion have been passed down multiple times. Below is the list of each regions league challenge circuit, their leaders, typings, and locations. If a Gym Leaders description, gym terrain, or persona is not described in their listing it is up to interpretation/free to write as you wish.
Gym One - Carry, Steel-Type

This small dump of info is regarding what is and isn't allowed in the details of your Pokémon. Within reason, I hope to leave room for everyone to have unique and fun teams at their disposal and the ability to use their 'mons creatively to solve problems in the story as well as write some awesome battles! That being said, here are the rules;
•Starter Pokémon such as Squirtle, Monferno, Rillaboom, etc. are limited to one per person as they are rare. Special circumstances can be discussed.
•Shiny Pokémon are limited to one per person, regardless of how many characters you have. Try to keep them rare!
•Pokémon may have up to four moves active and ready for battle, however they may know all the moves they would learn approximate to their level or from TM's. There is no limit to how many moves total a Pokémon can know, but active moves must be decided upon before a battle begins.
•Hidden abilities are allowed, and abilities may have applicable use outside of battle if it makes logical sense. For example, a Pokémon with Storm Drain would be helpful in draining a flooded area.

•Some items are available for purchase in Pokémarts around the world and have become fairly common, however the more powerful held items are expensive and difficult to come across. Items also take wear and tear over time and can break, be stolen/lost, or require repairs.
•Unique characteristics for Pokémon are encouraged. While shinies are limited, giving your 'mon a unique pattern in their fur, a scar, or a lick of hair that stands up is a fun way to make them special.
•Natures can be ignored regarding stats for your Pokémon and instead are more focussed on how the creature actually behaves.
•Typing matters! The typing of your Pokémon will not only have an effect in battle, but in the overworld as well. Ice Pokémon cannot survive in a volcanic environment, Fire types will be weak in rain, and things like fires or strong winds will have an effect on Pokémon and their moves.
•Obviously, Pokémon from different regions are allowed and encouraged to be used. Diverse teams are great, however please try to have a good explanation as to how your character acquired these Pokémon.
That should cover everything!

Name: Hazel Kizuto
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Trainer Class (Coordinator/Battler/Breeder/etc.): Trainer
Physical Appearance:
Clothing/Bag: 12× Pokéball, Escape Rope, 4× Full Restore, 2× Revive, PokEtch
Personality: A brave and somewhat cocky young man, Hazel is often the first to dive into situations that put him down the creek, way over his head. Hot-headed and fast to jump to a Pokémon battle, the young ace isn't shy to the concept of a scuffle. A great friend to have and an even worse enemy, the boy is loyal to a fault and talented in the way of battle; what he lacks in practical brains he makes up for in tactical wit. A lover of Pokémon and fascinated by the way they live, he often keeps his Pokémon outside of pokeballs and will let them for the mostpart do as they please.
Backstory: Hazel was born in Kalos, raised by his mother and father in the bustling city of Lumiose. At the age of 8, Hazel's father lost his job as a manager at the Pokémart, forcing them to move to the small town of Vaniville. Ever since, he has had a strong distaste for the chain establishment and shops elsewhere unless he absoltuely has to. At the age of 10, due to being old enough in his parents eyes to leave on his own (and definitely not because they were too poor to keep taking care of him), the young man was sent to the local Pokémon lab to recieve a starter Pokémon. In return for the rare Froakie he recieved, Hazel agreed to journey to the Sinnoh region and research the local Pokémon for the researchers. After discovering a deep connection with his partner Pokémon and a few close calls with wild encounters, the Trainer found a passion for battling and set his sights on becoming the strongest trainer in the world.

Goals: World Champion!
Starter: Froakie
Species/Type: Froakie | Water
Nickname/Level: Froth ♂| Lv.14
Ability: Protean | Changes the Pokémon's type to the type of the move it's about to use. However, this can only be done once per time entering battle.
Item: N/A
Nature/Persona: Hasty | Froth is a very energetic and curious Froakie, despite his outward appearance of looking a bit dull upstairs. Often staring blankly into nothingness when not getting into trouble by bounding ahead of its trainer to investigate something that grabbed its attention, the little blue frog seems to be a clueless creature that relies on Hazel to keep it from getting hurt. However, the impulsive water-type is loyal to the trainer to a fault and will go out of its way to defend him, bring random objects as gifts, or even share food. It's eagerness to do these things can often lead to misunderstandings though, as the young Pokémon is more worried about pleasing his trainer than any implied consequences its actions may cause.
Unique Features: The bubble-foam around its neck rides up the back of its head slightly, giving the appearance of a small affro.
Moves: Pound | Physical, Normal | Froth slams its limbs against the enemy, inflicting damage. If used while holding a King's Rock, there is a 10% chance for the affected pokemon to flinch.
Growl | Status, Normal | Growl decreases the Attack stat of all adjacent opponents by one stage. It does not affect Pokémon with the Abilities Soundproof, Hyper Cutter, Clear Body, White Smoke, or Full Metal Body.
If the user is affected by Throat Chop, it will be unable to use this move for two turns but if holding Throat Spray, the item will be consumed and effect negated. If powered up by a Normalium Z, user can use this move regardless of whether it was affected by Throat Chop.
Water Gun | Special, Water | The target is blasted with a forceful shot of water from Froth's mouth.
Quick Attack | Physical, Normal | The user lunges at the target to inflict damage, moving at blinding speed. This move always goes first.
Lick | Physical, Ghost | The target is licked with Froth's long tongue, causing damage with a 30% chance to also leave the target with paralysis.
Water Pulse | Special, Water | Froth attacks with a pulsing blast of water from its mouth with a 20% chance to confuse.

Species/Type: Starly | Normal-Flying
Nickname/Level: Starla ♀| Lv.7
Ability: Keen Eye | Prevents the decreasing of accuracy through attempts at evasion raising moves like Minimize, accuracy decreasing moves like Sand Attack, and most environmental effects. Also helps the Pokémon spot small objects or make observations from far distances or in the air. If completely blinded, the ability simply does nothing.
Item: N/A
Nature/Persona: Adamant | While very headstrong and hard to persuade to do something they may not want to do, Starla is also very caring for those it cherishes. Though not quite to the degree of being stubborn, the bird 'mon isn't afraid to stand its ground and will do so whenever it feels necessary, especially if it's over something involving the wellbeing of its friends. The Pokémon loves to perch atop high places and people watch.
Unique Features: A pink ribbon is tied around her neck.
Moves:
Tackle | Physical, Normal | A physical attack in which the user charges and slams into the target with its whole body.
Growl | Status, Normal | Growl decreases the Attack stat of all adjacent opponents by one stage. It does not affect Pokémon with the Abilities Soundproof, Hyper Cutter, Clear Body, White Smoke, or Full Metal Body.

Quick Attack | Physical, Normal | The user lunges at the target to inflict damage, moving at blinding speed. This move always goes first.
Wing Attack | Special, Flying | The target is struck with large, imposing wings spread wide to inflict maximum damage.
Double Team | Status, Normal | By moving rapidly, the user makes illusory copies of itself to boost its evasiveness.
