Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
The villains are going to be very difficult to conquer, even individually. The protagonists are gonna have it rough but I believe in them if they work together.
Also, @Max Million gym information is in the works currently, I should have them done by tomorrow hopefully. If anything I will get Hoenn done asap for you!
I don't mind the idea @Max Million maybe I can have her head to Lillycove once the rain let's off properly with her twin brother which I am making a sheet for now than she can meet both of the siblings that way if your ok with that
@H47E
I don't mind if others take a look at this character sheet, too. But please no use of meta knowledge in IC, lol.
Name: Avery Alberich Gender/Pronouns: Male but sounds ambiguous | They/Them Age: 18, but tries to come off as a few years older. Goal is to seem like a 21-year-old. Trainer Class: Criminal, with a blend of Battling and Contest techniques. Physical Appearance: Short, black hair with streaks of pink on their windswept bangs, green eyes, dark tan skin, and being 5'03" (160 cm) and weighing in at 115 lbs (52.2 kg) with minimal muscle build, Avery doesn't look too imposing and looks more like those bookworms or wallflowers. Being Draven's alter ego, they look just like Draven. They normally have a deep-set scowl, and they stare with such intensity that it feels like they're looking through you. However, they have a sense of style and elegance that Draven lacks. While Draven doesn't care to move so much or look good, Avery focuses on their appearance to look excellent. Clothing/Bag: They usually wear combat boots, dark grey sweatpants, a long-sleeved grey Sinnohan wrap shirt that can hold items within the shirt's wrap, and they wear black gloves that seem to try and give them a more elegant look. They also wears contacts to turn their green eyes to orange and allow them to see without glasses, as they're farsighted. While they still have the same items as Draven, they usually stash their backpack somewhere else as to not be caught with the same things Draven has. They also wear a wig at first, the wig he chooses being a deep burgundy that is tied in a loose ponytail, the red wig's ponytail going down to his mid-back. Personality: Avery is a very elegant, yet cunning and cruel alter ego. They don't care what they do or how it harms others, they just care about doing something for themselves and their Pokemon. Unlike Draven, who consider contests a waste of time, they love contests. If they had their own Pokemon, they'd focus on the execution of moves and making creative combinations among their team. They are also rather theatrical, his voice several octaves higher than Draven's own voice (this causes Draven to have a sore throat after a full night of being Avery). One good way to make Avery upset is to hurt their image in a more physical way, which can cause them to lash out and possibly weaken the divide between themselves and Draven. They don't much care for the society's image, as they are more rooted for doing criminal deeds. Draven's job is to handle society. Theirs is to do the things that Draven couldn't possibly do. However, because this alternate version of Draven is brought about by their Hoothoot's (and soon Noctowl's) psychic capabilities, the strength and finesse in the owl doing this is affects how often Draven's actual personality leaks into Avery's demeanor. Avery believes that Draven doesn't exist, and better for it, even though Draven is aware of what Avery does and not the other way around. They believe that the items Draven had were their own and becomes very protective of their things. Avery is a product of Draven's imagination, and Draven doesn't want Avery to find out (which brings up the possibility of what happens if Avery came to the realization that they were just a tool made by a boy who didn't have the courage to do it himself). Once Draven takes over, he loses some memories of what Avery did, having a "feeling" of what he did, but not being able to remember in detail anymore. With a bit more psychic manipulation through his Pokemon, he won't be able to remember anything Avery did or even remember he made Avery for a short amount of time. Bio: Their conception was brought about by Draven's research in the psychic abilities of his Hoothoot, and those of other Psychic-Types in general. Draven - if ever the time came to do something criminal - would need something to protect his identity. Avery was then born: An elegant child of a failing contest couple who had a fling and were quickly forgotten in Hoenn twenty years ago, the child found themselves in an orphanage. Given to several foster families, they were considered a trouble child who didn't integrate well. They were just born bad, their parents giving the child horrid genetic traits in their personality that then grew more as they didn't have a stable family life. Even when given to them, they didn't believe in following their rules. They constantly broke rules in the orphanage, and then, when they were sixteen, they ran away. They have been traveling around, found a Hoothoot within Hoenn, and used the Hoothoot to fight their way to gain some kind of money so they may continue to live via traveling.
While this backstory is vague based on stories Draven heard on newspapers and the radio, Draven found that Avery would make their own backstory up, filling in the blanks based on things they found. While they didn't "remember" their parents' names, as Draven didn't make it up for them to know, they took two failing contest stars who had a scandalous fling and made the two their parents. Because the two people were not good contest stars and fell off hard before they even got up there as well as having memorable bad attitudes, it wasn't like it wasn't too farfetched. The orphanage they came from was also something they put more detail in themselves. He found an orphanage in Hoenn where a young child - also named Avery with red hair - began trouble and went through several foster families before leaving and never being found again. Though, while it was sure that Avery likely didn't make it, it wasn't hard for this Avery to take that identity and connect the dots themselves that they were this child.
Since then, Draven had been trying to fill in the memory gaps so Avery wouldn't become suspicious, telling his Hoothoot to trick Avery's mind into thinking they flew to Sinnoh after getting bored of Hoenn from the faux memories. Draven had traveled from Unova to Hoenn first, stayed for a few weeks, then moved to Sinnoh once he figured out Avery's backstory a bit more, fleshing him out. Once he landed in Jubilife City, he decided to put Avery on the backburner for the moment.
For future trial runs (which they haven't done yet), they'll be doing some petty thieving, stealing from trainers who were in the forest or nearby routes before going to disappear again, so they may test out how long it took for Avery to be used before Draven gets a migraine and has to be himself again. But we'll figure that out later~. Goals: To find a better life as he feels almost hollow (a side effect of being Draven's creation). He's been a criminal because he believes he's in some kind of simulation or the matrix exists, so he wants to tear the peaceful societies down and return it to a place where criminals can reign free once more. Starter: He doesn't have his own Pokemon yet besides Draven's Hoothoot. However, he will get one after stealing one.
Species/Type: Chimchar - Fire | Monferno - Fire/Fighting | Infernape - Fire/Fighting (Fire-Types are immune to being Burned and the damage from Grass Pledge's and Fire Pledge's combined effect: Sea of Fire) Nickname: Ajax Gender: Male Ability: Iron Fist - The Pokemon's fists are harder and increases the damage output of punching moves (like Fire Punch, Focus Punch, Mach Punch, Power-Up Punch, Thunder Punch, and more). Appearance: Ajax is your run-of-the-mill Chimchar, not much of a difference from other Chimchar in appearance. It's the same thing when he becomes a Monferno and Infernape later, but as a Monferno the blue mask around his face will be quite bright, while the Infernape's crown of flames will be rather huge to show the measure of his fighting, fiery spirit. Natural Abilities: The Chimchar line are known for having constant flames (in some cases able to turn them off or lessening the heat to prevent wildfires while sleeping) and have very lithe, lean, and powerful bodies. Their speed and power is what they are most known for, and the prehensile tail upon evolving only increases their agility. But they are also known for their elemental prowess, being on par with their physical strength. This Chimchar, and in future evolutions, will be trained to be mostly acrobatic and to be a mixed fighter to further compound on the strengths of this Pokemon. Nature/Personality/Behavior: Hasty | Ajax can be slightly gullible, taking things at face value and believing that if a person says they don't have any reason to lie to them, then he'd trust that. Better be the first person to say to that to him first or else he won't believe a third party, becoming rather stubborn. The epitome of being mischievous and a reckless fighter, Ajax loves to prank and then get into fights about it. Because he has also gotten into trouble a lot, he's grown rather alert to sounds, as it usually meant trouble is coming for him to fight off with glee. However, being stubborn and wanting instant gratification, he finds the work in training rather boring and unless tricked into having fun through training, would rather just recklessly attack the next thing that moves rather than listen to his trainer. Being a rather social Pokemon, Ajax is an unusual empath. While he can feel for others, he doesn't feel compelled to do anything about it unless feeling it's within his best interest to do so. He is rather bold in his curiosity of others but not as much as other Chimchar. Any kind of threat however will cause him to be very hostile. | When evolved into Monferno, Ajax will focus more on using the environment around him and using clever tactics to trick the opponents in battle, finding glee in doing so but being a lot more level-headed and mature about it. He also will understand the value of a good training session, and would forego being an instant gratifier and focus more on making sure his skills don't become lackluster. While not as bold as other Monferno, he is still pretty bold and will be exceptionally hostile when told to fight or sees threats. | When evolved into an Infernape, he'll be a lot more disciplined and won't be as social like his pre-evolutions, preferring to train in solitude when something is bothering him. While he still feels outward joy when tricking people, these tricks become a bit more deadly, adding his tricks into his unique martial arts technique of using his entire body to fight. If someone is threatening his trainer, his comrades, or himself, he'll become a lot more serious and will get ready for a fight. The behavior as a Monferno when it comes to strangers or threats will be about the same. History: Having grown up in the Sinnoh mountains in a ranch specific to breeding the Chimchar line for the professor, Ajax loved being with his Chimchar family. It was like paradise, just being able to play, pull pranks on one another, smash rocks, and watching the cool Monferno and Infernape spar and teach them some tricks. However, when he was taken to the lab to be chosen, he realized that this whole process was too glorified. The process was tedious. First starter was taken was the Piplup, then the Turtwig. When he was finally chosen, his hasty nature and social aspects that were even more obnoxious to compensate for being away from his family landed him back with the lab, as he was too much for the trainer. Upset, he began to leave the lab to act out from how unfair this all was, wanting to just go back home. This homesickness caused him to be impulsive, and he was taken back to the lab and watched under a close eye. However, before he was given the clear to go back to the ranch to be replaced - something he didn't know was going to happen - he'd be stolen away. The freedom felt wonderful, but he was wondering if he'd ever go back home. Until Avery (or Draven) earns his loyalty, he'll be wanting to get stronger so he can help Avery/Draven help him to get back home. Moves:
Scratch - Normal | Physical | Ajax's fingertips glow white and he scratches the opponent.
Leer - Normal | Status | Ajax glares at the opponent with a mischievous, dangerous glint in his eyes to frighten them and lower their physical defense.
Ember - Fire | Special | Ajax breathes out hot flames or uses his rear flame to attack, and it may burn the opponent and will thaw them if they were frozen.
Taunt - Dark | Status | Ajax taunts the target, making them mad beyond reason and forced to use attacks.
Thunder Punch - Electric | Physical | From a Hitmonchan father, Ajax can generate electricity in his fist and punch the opponent, having a slight chance to paralyze them. However, Ajax commonly gets the execution wrong and ends up hurting himself trying to use it, making himself flinch in the process and possibly causing paralysis on himself (still the same base chance as if it were used on a target successfully).
Fake Out - Normal | Physical | From a Hitmonchan father, Ajax can clap his hands quickly and cause a shockwave to shoot out towards the opponent and cause them to flinch. Can only work after switching in. However, the execution is inconsistent and it may fail, even when he uses it when switching in.
Here is a character I'd like to add to the RP. I haven't determined where she'll start, and I'm still looking at my options and where she'd fit best. If any of you all have any suggestions, let me know.
Name: Liliana “Lily” Harper
Gender: Female
Age: 17, close to 18 however
Trainer Class: Battler
Physical Appearance: Liliana has a slim build and is around 5’9 in height. She has a lightly tanned complexion and dark brown, long, and slightly wavy hair. As of the start of the RP, she will have a slight right shoulder injury that she doesn’t seem to care about.
Clothing/Accessories: Liliana wears a white T-shirt, denim jean shorts, and sometimes a black hoodie with a white Poke Ball emblem, depending on the weather. She wears a pink (yet cheap) digital watch, black socks, and black shoes with a pink bottom. Additionally, she carries a black and pink backpack.
Personality: Liliana is genuinely a caring person who puts others before herself. But let’s just say… she puts others before herself excessively (see backstory). Besides doing her “basic routine,” she’ll always do her best to help someone instead of focusing on herself, not noticing that she’s like that. She takes great pride in assisting others and hates it when someone helps her (in most cases) or denies her help. She is overprotective of her friends and family and will do anything to protect them, and will break down if she fails to protect someone. This persona also applies to Pokemon.
If she hates a person, she’ll immediately tell you she hates you. She can easily be angered and has some of the worst temper control possible.
Backstory: Liliana grew up in a tumultuous and toxic household in Unova. As Liliana turned 7, her once loving father and mother hated each other to the point where the two constantly argued that they would barely have time to care for their kids. Liliana had to deal with this daily and always had to comfort her young sister and her younger brother whenever this happened.
Soon, as Liliana’s father divorced her mother at the age of 10, Lillana and her siblings were mostly left alone as her mother worked very long hours. Life for the young trainer was tough, and she barely had enough time to start her journey, something she had always wanted to do for a while. Liliana cried for hours at her father being gone, her mother never being home, and her inability to start her journey. But she couldn’t leave home to escape this; she had siblings to care for.
And having siblings was motivation enough to keep going. Liliana wanted her siblings to live well despite their condition, so she sacrificed what she could. She cooked, cleaned, and did whatever she could to take care of her siblings. She had sleepless nights just to ensure her siblings were warm. She hated it, but deep down, she knew it was for a great cause, and that kept her going, night after night. Soon, Liliana slowly began to love doing what she did. It was life for her.
Liliana’s mother soon unfortunately was hospitalized after a work accident. She seemed to be in a fatal condition, but luckily, she survived. However, because of this, Liliana and her siblings were forced to move to Kanto, where her relatives lived.
Life soon began to settle, but Liliana kept up her workaholic personality and helped her siblings as they grew. Soon, life became easy enough that Liliana hesitantly decided to start her journey. She caught an Eevee not too long into her journey, and she received a Happiny egg as a gift from her mother, with whom Liliana has continued to keep in touch.

Goals: To be a champion, bringing Raticate with me the whole time.

Cool and fun character concept, I assume he will be starting in Kanto? Do you plan on having them involved in the main storyline as a protagonist/villain?
If their sole goal is becoming champion and completing the gym circuit, there will be many obstacles in the way regarding the evil teams activities that prevent an easy time doing so.
Just try to give us an idea of what role they will play in the story, overall the character is approved.

Sounds awesome! Though, when the plot kicks off, it will present many other ways for him to become noticed and popular. Would be cool to see him become an unlikely hero!
The approval stands.

All the gyms are in good shape currently and do have new leaders, and some typing changes. I will include gym info and info on Interstellar in my next update to the first post in this thread! @Merciless Medic that's where you can find info for Draven joining and figuring out what you wanna do with him. Like I said in my last post, if your questions aren't answered then feel free to DM me.
Are your ideas for the gym leaders and regional stuff set in stone? Like, can WE play as gym leaders or characters that become them? I would imagine that, decades into the future, with population changes, some towns would be struggling to even find a gym leader?
I don't mind the idea @Max Million maybe I can have her head to Lillycove once the rain let's off properly with her twin brother which I am making a sheet for now than she can meet both of the siblings that way if your ok with that
I'm cool with anything you want to do. I will probably have someone journey to Fortree eventually. What I would say is take your time as I've been having difficulty having the time to post lately, so it will probably be a while until Brooke or another one of my planned characters meets them.

I do have ideas for the gym leaders as characters, just to give the world a bit more life, however when challenging the gyms I plan for everyone to be able to control the gym leaders freely and determine the outcome of their own gym battles.
The current state of the world is pretty big on Pokémon battling and contests and the like so there's no lack of gym leaders; they just aren't conditioned to dealing with evil and crime like the old ones were.
There will be events through the story that shift the standings of gym leaders so yes there is potential for you guys' characters to become a gym leader, E4, champion, etc.
Just, not off the jump.
It seems pretty late to join, but I’ve randomly had another craving for rp. I’m writing a character and I’ll try and be as active as I can!!
Name: Xero (ZayRow)
Gender: male
Age: 19
Hometown/Region: Azalea Town Johto
Trainer Class (Coordinator/Battler/Breeder/etc.): battler (?)
Physical Appearance: (view attached pickrew)
Clothing/Bag: Civilian Outfit would be A very baggy hoodie and Gym Shorts, while his “undercover” outfit would be a more dignified suit with black gloves
Personality: Sort of Awkward, but in a charming way. No matter how he attempts to portray himself, people always seem to be able to tell that there’s a mask hiding his true feelings. When he leans into that mask instead of rejecting it, he becomes a master of deception.
Backstory: As a child Xero was always seen as a fake child, as a doll. Even though he was the first born heir to a wealthy family, he was ostracized and seen as an outsider (thought that would add some interesting contrast with Maribelle who is a rich character), although his blood family despised him for reasons unknown to him, his family’s staff secretly took care of him. At the age of 9, Xero’s family mysteriously disappeared. Not a single family member, not a single butler, no one was left, except for Xero, who was unknown to the public eye. He was taken in by the international police and at the age of 12 enrolled in the international police academy. 7 years later, he has finally graduated, with barely passing marks, and has begun his Journey.
Goals: his goal is to find out what happened to his family and discover who he truly is. (This could later interact with team interstellar or something idk)
Starter:
His Partner is a Shiny Gliscor And a Fuecoco. Just to add some validity, canonically speaking he was held back a year because he spent months hunting down a purple Gligar because the butler that primarily took care of him had an insignia that was also a purple gligar, and resulted in him failing a set of very important exams. The Fuecoco was the partner he was assigned by the International Police once he finally graduated.

What about the smaller towns that don't have gym leaders in the games? Or the many ones that are in the anime and other media that could be incorporated?

While the league has maintained its official 8 gym circuit, smaller towns are likely to contain smaller contests or battling competitions that arent officially recognised. If a town doesn't have an official gym or contest hall of its own, it wouldn't be uncommon to find underground battle arenas or something of the sort with a pseudo-gym leader due to the rise in popularity of battling and such over time.

I LOVE this character idea! So much potential here and super excited to see how a cop will handle Interstellar as opposed to the other protagonists. The time off to hunt the shiny makes good sense too and has good meaning behind it for the character. APPROVED!
@H47E i was thinking that the Manila folder could show documents containing transactions between an unnamed party and a large sum of money and that the game corner that sells you Pokémon would sell a large amount of like abras and other psychic types, but it wouldn’t be something Xero would put together right away he would see it and not understand and then it can come back up later? If not I can just tie it back to Xeros backstory

The Psychic Pokémon being smuggled are tied to another plot point, however I'm gong to shoot you a DM of other bits of info it could contain pertaining to Interstellar so this policeman of yours can get involved.
Make of the events that just happened to Brooke as you will. Mark Shadow is the name of the leader of the gang of thugs that were in Hoenn art museum. They were arrested for numerous crimes, mainly the vandalism to the art property, but they've been at large for a short time, so maybe their arrest hits the next headlines @H47E ? The mention of Brooke could have been blurred out though due to the actions of Brooke's dad who gave them hush money to not also go after Brooke for minor vandalism.
Also, i'm thinking of have her start a bit more afresh in Littleroot Town, so i'll need to know about who runs the lab there and if anything's changed. For each of the starter labs, is it just be a descendant of the relevant professors from each game?

That would at least make local news, maybe not international news though as they aren't as infamous as the evil teams. As for labs, they are all run either by a descendant of the previous professor, or a random scientist of little relevance. As people visit labs over time, I will update the header post to include the professors. If a lab doesn't have an assigned professor already (only one who does so far is in Kalos, Sycamore IV), feel free to use some creative liberty to slot one in where needed.

I'll end up making an aide who is close enough to a professor, but not enough to be considered as such whenever we do get there and I need to make something up. xD
Bet the Sinnoh one is Luke's kid or grandkid, considering in the games he was Rowan's aide and would likely have already taken his position.

Oh yeah, that's a really good idea! Always been a fan of Max! It would make sense since he always took a backseat in the anime and seemed a lot more studious!
I'm planning on introducing or playing as another character in Hoenn. Here's his character sheet:
Name: Riku Kasai Gender: Male Age: 26 Trainer Class (Coordinator/Battler/Breeder/etc.): Former gang member, Former criminal, battler. Physical Appearance: A rough looking man with spikey or flat brown or auburn hair with sideburns or a 1960s rocker style perm. His appearance can change depending on what persona he is adopting. He's quite tall, with a large head, but still is very dexterious. Clothing/Bag: When involved with the various gangs of Hoenn, he's wearing a black jacket with ripped jeans and anything gothic or edgy that makes him fit in. He also has black motocylist gloves. To distinguish him from other thugs, which he secretly hates, he bears a more colourful shirt or sweater featuring red and beige colours, underneath his working outfit. When he's journeying around the Hoenn, his clothes change to show the change in personality. He would just wear his red and beige shirt and sweater here, with a touch of black in his trainers and a more dapper, polite personality accompanying it. Personality: As a thug, he can be quite cruel, in a brilliant and intelligent way, unlike many other members of the Mark Shadow thug cult. His brilliance has shown him to have gained quite a bit of experience over the years and so he knows when to bail out or go ahead with an operation. As the RP progresses, this personality, apart from the brilliant and intelligent parts, will evaporate as he becomes more casual, hence the costume change. He knows there is a better life for him and so is willing to go on an ordinary Pokemon journey to do so. Once this occurs, he will be significantly nicer, but still show that cruelity in a friendly manner through up and coming rivalries with various trainers, including Brooke. Due to his more working class upbringing, he doesn't take crap from people, making him quite genuine. Backstory: Mark Shadow was a former boss of a relatively large gang of thugs that operated near Lilycove City and other towns. Born and raised in Orre, he came over and started doing small-scale crime after being disillusioned with the political system, believing 'something big' was coming and that the combined might of the newly advanced police force and the trainers not only around Hoenn, but the world, were under threat. He used to have terrible nightmares about it, eventually planning to rebel and start his own gang, which he did after his very brief and infamous training stint with the descendant of former Elite Four member Sydney. After forming the gang of thugs and delliquents, the dark type specialist targeted Lilycove. It is here that he met Riku Kansai, a native of Fallabor Town, who moved around, doing various small criminal deeds, often manipulated by even smaller gangs. Riku often dreamed of making a name for himself or doing better off despite his working class background, as his tough dad had died of a heart attack after traversing Mount Chimney the year before, leaving him with an even tougher mother. He quickly moved to various cities, seeking profit and came across Mark during a job in Rustboro. Mark promised him wealth and power but in the end it didn't come to that and Riku planned to overthrow him and become the boss of the gang, with plans to turn it into a new Team. However, this didn't come to pass, as Mark Shadow and around 90% of the gang members were arrested after a number of successful police raids and the incident in Lilycove Art Museum. Riku quickly fled. He is now weighing up his options but really wants to leave his old life behind him now. He has heard rumours of old evil teams being revived, which has raised his hopes for joining one. However, as far as criminal organisations and gangs go, he doesn't want to be involved. He thinks that's now possible to change society by doing good deeds but through the use of a pressure group or a revived version of the old teams. Unlike most of his former gang members, he actually was following the Team Interstellar news updates, taking a great interest in it, which is what attracted Mark Shadow into promoting him in the first place. With his new found freedom, Riku wants to start an adventure and learn about what is happening in the news. He has read a bit into Team Magma, one of the old teams of Hoenn. He believes Hoenn is filled with too much water from various writings and will eventually flood, believing some of the global criminals are linked to that and can stop it. In response, he has come up with the idea of expanding the land mass, in order to build more cities and benefit the working and middle classes with more homes and jobs. He additionally specialises in fire and ground types, with other typings such as poison featuring in his teams. Goals: Start a new journey, become a well-respected trainer, clear his name, become Brooke's rival and challenge in various events (short term), befriend Brooke (short term, only for brief glimpses), form in secret the successor to Team Magma and effectively start expanding the landmass with new buildings and jobs (long term), to do this he will probably need to gain followers for a new kind of group which can then join Team Interstellar during any of their stints in Hoenn (long term, conditional to what actually happens), effectively act as a sort of 'anti-Brooke' if she goes off the rails.
Starter: Riku starts with a Numel and a Koffing, with him eventually picking Torchic as a starter for his journey when he visits the Hoenn lab. His Numel has been with him for a long time and may tap out during the journey in exchange for another Pokemon that he freshly catches, due to it having an illness.

Approved. I like this, curating a rival for your other character and including both Hoenn evil teams in the story. He isn't a fanatic for fanatics sake, he seems to genuinely have a good heart and goal. I'm curious to see how he and Brooke mesh and interact with not only each other but Interstellar.

The main storyline events will be kicking off soon. If you're still interested in the rp, I am giving everyone until Saturday to establish themselves in the world! Anyone who hasn't is of course welcome to post still and join in, but the storyline is going to move forward to keep those who have already posted engaged until you involve yourself.
You've got a few days, so no rush. Just wanted to let you guys know!
Name: Alexander Tempest
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Trainer Class: Blind Battler/Hiker
Physical Appearance:
His eyes are completely white, no iris or pupils present. His ears are bigger than normal to better detect and navigate through sound. His hair is tied back into a ponytail.
Clothing/Bag: (Optional)
Personality: Alex is typically a calm, gentle and quiet individual that can come off as intimidating to those around him. He can also be quite talkative at times.
Backstory: Alexander was born and raised in Celestic Town in the Sinnoh Region unable to see anything. Due to being blind since birth, his parents became a little overprotective of him and rarely let him out of their sights. As time went on however, Alex slowly learned how to navigate the world around him through the use of his remaining four senses. His desire to become independent of his parents soon pushed him to better focus as he learned to detect vibrations and develop his own echolocation. He was about ten years old when his parents gifted him with a female Ralts that he named Gwen. The reasoning? Ralts was a Psychic type and would likely be more privy to Alex's emotions and likely better able to assist him with his daily life.
About three years later, the duo were exploring the outskirts of the town when they found an injured female Riolu. Not having any healing items on hand, Alex ended up bringing the small canine home with him and treating her there... with some help from his parents of course. The Fighting type wound up recuperating at his home for the next few weeks before finally deciding to stay with the human that helped her. After making it official with a PokeBall, Alex named the Riolu Aria. It's been eleven years since then and in that time Gwen evolved into a Kirlia while Alex figured out how to properly use different items and figure out what was what without the ability to see. It was also during this time gap that he would start to see differently colored and shaped blurs across the usual sea of black. While it was interesting to be able to see without using echolocation, he quickly found it to be more trouble trying to navigate with it than through his usual methods. Now that he is twenty four years old, his parents decided to finally let him explore with his Pokemon, who were also trained to assist him with different tasks that could be a touch difficult without eyes. He had heard about the evil teams seemingly making a resurgence in recent times but his desire for adventure completely outweighed any fear he might have had regarding them.
Goals: To explore the region to the best of his ability and maybe try his hand at the gym challenge.
Starter:
•Gwen the Kirlia
•Aria the Riolu
Other: Alex has learned to sense Aura by accident. Since he was born blind, his other four senses developed further to compensate. He also likes to play LoZ songs on an ocarina in his free time.

Give him a backstory and goals and we will come back to this. How did he get the Lucario and Gardevoir? Did he raise them, if so why evolve them so early and leave no room to develop them? Genuine questions not critiques. I like the base idea, flesh it out and it'll likely be accepted at a late time.
No worries, take your time and don't stress yourselves! Kanto sounds good for her.

Omg >-< she took a lot more time to do than I expected but finally got her done D Just let me know what to fix thx ^-^ @H47E
I am in the middle of writing my opening post but my ipad doesn’t really like it when I type a lot, and reloads the page sometimes which has made me lose progress twice now, even after saving my draft (it didn’t save it for some reason). I’ll finish it in the morning when i’m not on a 7-year old potato lol
Alright everybody, once a feeew more posts roll out I'm going to continue the plot a bit further! Of course for that to happen the dates must move forwards, so if you find yourself still on the events of the 17th for example when others are posting about events on the 18th or 20th, include the date your post takes place on in the header of your post to avoid confusion.
You are welcome to continue on past days as others move forward as long as major changes to events that create plotholes aren't made. On the other hand, don't jump more than a few days ahead at a time as that could result in plotholes with major or even minor story events.
That being said, within my next one or two posts will be a big advancement for Team Interstellar. Major starting events for the main storyline will take place in Sinnoh (region wide), Kanto (Celadon, Vermillion, Saffron), Unova (Pokémon League), and Kalos (Lumios City, Prism Tower). Your characters may be present for these things, so if you want them there I suggest they start traveling if necessary to make it to these locations by the 20th, though the scenarios will be very dangerous so be prepared for your character to face a genuinely evil team if they show. If characters are not there they will still know about the events that took place as they will be widely covered on all news stations, radios, websites, etc.
Finally, a Gym circuit for the regions will be uploaded to the header post in this thread fairly soon! I've been working on a unique leader and E4 plus teams for each gym/challenge circuit in each region. Hope everyone's enjoying the rp so far, and having a good day! That's all for this infodump.
Hey, @H47E , is it too late to add another character? I think I want to add at least one (or two) characters in Unova to interact with your plot there since very few/noone is currently in Unova and you've clearly got something planned. Plus, the league championships would be something fun to RP out! Since the Unova League Championships would most likely have highly experienced trainers, is it safe to say that these character's teams would not have the basic three Pokemon? If I make a character that's involved there, am I allowed to give them a full team or at least with fully evolved Pokemon?
