Journey RP'S! The most basic, standard easiest RP's ever. Hard to do one wrong which makes it perfect for newcomers and fine for everyone else. Not many RP's that I'm interested are open so why not make my own.
Rules:
  • Follow all of Pokecharms RP Rules
  • Romance is allowed but keep it PG-13
  • Trainers are only allowed to start off with a maximum of one pokemon (Can be whatever, from your characters last adventure or your character's a 100% newbie)
  • Try to keep your posts pretty long (A paragraph is a good length)
  • Try to post when you can, I understand people have personal lives but it seems like every RP I touch dies
  • Probably no Megas until the Mega Evolution tutorial in Shalour City

Name: Allison Davis
Gender: Female

Appearance: 5'3" Tall, On the lither side of a body type, has honey-brown hair in long pigtails, side-swept bangs. Light tan-skinned and hazel eyes. Her usual outfit is a bamboo sprig hat, the Aqua Striped Shirt Combo (Black and White striped shirt with a light blue colored unbuttoned shirt over that), Jeans and black loafers. She also has a dark red backpack
Personality: A fun loving girl who likes to try new things. She likes meeting new people and likes battling. Her overexcitement can be annoying though and she often rushes into things without thinking. She does give everything 110% though

Personality: Allison's other half. He spends all of his time napping inside of her backpack (Yes I'm aware they are 30 lbs) He's quite lazy and sleepy. He's the one that stops Allison from doing something stupid, calms her down when she gets emotional and is Allison's best friend. Also he tends to have a habit of being a bbit of a scaredy cat and digs himself into a hole at the first sign of danger.

Gender: Male
Age: 13
Appearance: Standing at 5'5 with Fair skin, Hazel colored eyes and smooth long White hair (something that runs in his family.) His clothing consists a turtleneck jacket colored White from the neck to his upper chest and Red from there to the bottom (Black for his sleeves), Black pants, Black trainers with White soles, Black finger-less gloves and a Blue belt bag that rests close to his left hip. (The link provides a much better example.)
Personality: Anthony is a friendly, calm and laid back individual who isn't afraid to make new friends or start a conversation. He loves Pokemon and enjoys battling, displaying a more confident persona when doing so, but he has a strong hatred for losing and stubbornly sees defeat as humiliation, mainly blaming himself for his defeats.
Partner Pokemon: Snorlax

Ability: Thick Fat
Moves: Body Slam, Crunch, Earthquake, Thunderbolt
Personality: Like your average Snorlax, Anthony's is no stranger when it comes to eating or sleeping more often than usual, however he does make time to train and takes battling very seriously. He enjoys playing on some occasions and likes to take naps with Anthony resting on his belly. He is very close to Anthony and listens to him without question, always aware when he's feeling down and does his best to comfort him if/when possible.

Appearance: She is very short, even for a girl, at 5'2". She has long brown hair, usually done in a bun. She is from Kalos, which is essentially the equivalent of French nationality in real life. She often wears T-shirts and shorts, and generally likes athletic clothing. However, when she is in a cold area, she will wear large parkas, similar to the expedition outfit from Crown Tundra. She generally wears shades of red and sometimes black, but never something garish like bright pink, cyan, or yellow.
Personality: She is very extroverted and talkative when you first get to know her, but it is mostly a front. When in battle, her true personality comes out: she is cold-hearted and tactical in her battles; she doesn’t care who her opponent is.
Backstory: She is just a typical kid. She grew up in Aquacorde Town. No real backstory beyond that.
Partner Pokemon: Rette (Weavile)
Gender: Female
Ability: Pressure
Moves: Ice Shard, Metal Claw, Assurance, Revenge
Personality: A bit of a show-off. Like to create little ice crystals in the air, or do ‘magic’ (stealing) tricks.

  • Goals: To be a Pokemon Photographer. Battles for fun.
  • Appearance: Blond hair, dark-brown eyes, a slender figure. That's Stella. She likes wearing stylish clothing, and will usually go for dark clothing in winter, and light blue clothing in summer. But she'll take what she can. She wears a yellow diamond-shaped pendant that her aunt gifted her when she was ten years old, but it's actually attached to her head. She tends to wear a headband or something similar because her hair can get messy and annoying.
  • Personality: Stella is can appear as shy or reserved at first, but she actually likes talking. It's just that she finds it hard to do chit-chat and is slow to think of answers, but she tries her best. She loves meeting new people and new Pokemon, and always carries her camera around so that she can get new shots of everyone and everything she sees. She isn't always taking photos though, she only takes one when she knows it'll look perfect. She likes battling for fun, and is usually more focused on the style of the fight and that Dan isn't hurt than winning, she doesn't usually care about winning. She tries to draw too, but tends to fail. She's more prone to writing.

  • Backstory: Stella's parents left her with her aunt in Ecruteak City when she was three years old. She's never seen them after that. Not that she remembered much about them, though, and she's decided to forget them, she considers her aunt to be her mom now. She and Stella live alone in Ecruteak City. Her aunt works as an electrician and they have a big Japanese-styled house with a big yard where a garden with vegetables and fruits is cared for by them. They also raise some Pokemon. Alicia bought her her first camera at the age of 10 and she's been enthused by it ever since. She's decided to go on a journey to Kalos, where a friend of her aunt lives; they'll visit her and then she'll journey around Kalos for a while.

  • Ability: Static: The Pokémon is charged with static electricity, so contact with it may cause paralysis.
  • Moves
  1. Tackle: Charges and slams into the target with its whole body.
  2. Thunder Shock: A jolt of electricity crashes down on the target. May also inflict paralysis.
  3. Cotton Spore: Releases cotton spores that cling to the enemy, lowers their Speed stats.
  4. Charge: Boosts the power of the Electric move it uses on the next turn. Raises the user's Sp. Def stat.
  • Personality: Lively and protective. Tries to outdo himself every time to impress Stella. Tends to move in an elegant way. He met Stella when she was out strolling through the part and decided to stay with her. He looked at her, she looked at him, and he thought she looked really cool so she started following her around. Eventually, they ended up going home together. Dan is really attached to Stella now and always wants to be out of his Pokeball and be with her and he takes care of her.

Name: Bron Capman
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance: 5'9/ Tan skin/ Brown eyes/ Black, messy hair/ Surprisingly muscular, which is mostly hidden by his clothes.
Bron obviously goes for comfort rather than flashiness. He wears a blue hoodie over a white shirt turned gray, black jeans, and grey sneakers. Frankly, he kinda looks like a bum.
Personality: Chill and go with the flow. Bron is a naturally friendly person who, frankly, doesn't really appear to be a trainer, at least not a good one. He does love pokemon battles, however, spending countless hours training, shattering his calm demeanor and replacing it with a fiery passion, at least until the end of the battle. He loves pokemon, to the point where he's a bit awkward around humans.
Backstory (Optional): Bron lived in Old Ferrum Town (Yep, Pokken reference), and obtainted Auro when he was six. While they enjoyed battling it out with others in Ferrum, Bron wanted to try a gym challenge. Ferrum didn't have one, so at the age of 12, Bron went through his first journey through Sinnoh. He managed to enter the league tournament, but lost pretty early.
Nevertheless, Bron enjoyed the journey, and so decided to set his sights on Kalos, leaving all his previous pokemon behind and going with his trustworthy partner.
Partner Pokemon: Auro the Lucario
Gender: Male
Ability:Justified
Moves: Blaze kick/ Aura Sphere/ Bone rush/ Metal Claw
Personality: In a word: Stoic. Auro rarely shows emotions ranging from annoyance to mild happiness. Other than that, though, he's kind (to an extent) willing to help anyone and protect Bron with his life, even if he takes it way to seriously. (Then again, Bron has a habit of getting into dangerous situations. He's not very lucky.) The only thing that can spark true excitement are battles, something he lives for.

One thing I wanna do is that since many of you have already trained pokemon from previous adventures, I'm gonna do what pokemon origins did and have even early gym leaders have stronger pokemon than in the games.

Appearance: a slim, 6ft white boy. He wears a black coat and a white shirt. He wears brown baggy pants with white shoes. His hair color is a dark brown, And his face always looks calm and collected. He has black eyes that are as black as a dark sky (An exaggeration).
Personality: He is very calm and collected. When battling he is very serious letting nothing pass his eyesight. he can be seen happy with his Pokemon from time to time, and will never back down from a battle
Backstory (Optional): He lived in Hoenn's Sootopolis City, and was in the incidents of Pokemon Emerald. After that, He wanted to protect Hoenn from the likes of Team Magma and Team Aqua.

Moves: Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Aerial Ace, Dark Pulse
Personality: Absol is very serious and normally doesn't socialize with other Pokemon other than his trainer's Pokemon. Absol has it's own mindsets in battle, and outside of battle. Absol wouldn't listen to N unless it's for something interesting

Appearance: Perry is white and he has messy brown hair. He usually wears a gray sweater, black gloves, and beige khackis. He also wears glasses.
Personality: Perry is a laid back guy, and tends to have a more creative battle style than most trainers. Though he has a laid back personality, he doesn't take crap. He'll stand up to whatever he believes is wrong. Also, not a personality trait, but he makes good pancakes.
Backstory: Nothing much here. He is a new Pokemon trainer and chose to explore Kalos, as he liked the Pokemon there and the scenery.
Partner Pokemon: Mudkip (Nicknamed Splash)

Ability: Torrent
Moves: Mud Slap, Tackle, Water Gun, Leer
Personality: Spash is mostly just a really cute Pokemon, and is nice to others, but if she feels threatened or is in battle she will put up a decent fight.

Personality: Charlie is a very stubborn kid and doesn't want to be anybody's friend but he still hangs out with them. He'll start something and he doesn't care who gets involved as long as he wins and dreams of meeting a famous person
Backstory: No one knows his backstory, all they know is that his dad died at 7 years old, so he tries to be the champion in order to make his decaesed dad proud
Partner Pokemon: Ralts (Nickname, Ralto)
Gender: Male
Ability: Synchronize
Moves: Confusion, Psybeam, Trick Room, Thunder Punch
Personality: Ralto knows his trainer is stubborn and tries to help him even when he doesn't want him to, but they share the ideas of becoming the greatest team in the Kalos region.

This was made by my friend for me i think a few months back if anyone wanted to know.
Personality: He's pretty outgoing, and he lives on the edge. He uses tactics, with a mix of brute force in his battle style. He cares for his family and friends and will do anything to help them. In other words, He's very loyal to his family and friends.
Backstory: Just a normal backstory, nothing interesting much here
Partner Pokemon: Noivern
Ability: Infiltrator
Moves: Boomburst, Aerial Ace, Dragon Pulse, Shadow Ball
Pokemon Personality: A protective Pokemon since his trainer was always living life on the edge, and risking his life to safe others. Noivern is Jolly nonetheless and loves being tickled behind his ear.

Personality: Cubchoo is kind and caring and loves to perform similarly to Rian. Although she hates to fight Cubchoo will never let anyone hurt Rian.

Personality: Nora is a cheerful and competitive person, if the mood is ever awkward she'll try her best to cheer everyone up, she also loves to make cheesy jokes and see people's reaction to them, but when it comes to battles, she tries her best to win for her Pokemon but when she doesn't she falls into a short depression and begins to insult herself.

Ability: Rock head
Moves: Head smash, Flash Cannon, Iron tail, Dragon claw
Personality: Prideful and Stubborn to almost anything that isn't Nora and sometimes look down on other Pokemon.

Name: Finion Charles
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance: Finion is rather short considering his age, only standing at measly 5'2ft. Despite his short stature he's rather healthy, not the peak of physical fitness but definitely not in bad shape. His complexion is pale and soft, his almost colourless face being sharply contrasted by a mop of medium length orange hair and deep green eyes. He doesn't appear ghostly due to the gentleness of his features and the smile that is usually on his face. For clothing he often wears a blue shirt and an orange waist coat as well as dark blue jeans. He has a pair of goggles around his neck but he does not wear a hat anymore. (Essentially image the profile pic but a tad bit older)

Personality:
To put it simply, Finion is somewhat awkward. He tends to ramble, sometimes miss social cues and not really know what to say in certain situations. The latter of these issues is more rare now but he does sometimes struggle with it. His awkwardness often provokes his apologetic nature, Finion usually being sorry for things he needn't apologise for. He sometimes gets nervous around new people, not the typical kind of nervous but the nervousness that leads to never shutting up or just talking to much. Through this though, Finion is a very kind and friendly person. He likes to keep the peace and make sure everyone getting along with everyone. His self confidence could use some working on but an area where its at its best is in battle. He's a rather skilled battler, thinking outside the box when he can and trusting in his Pokemon whilst also knowing their limits. Getting him stuck is a rare occasion but it should it happen its one of the most effective ways to beat him.

Backstory (Footnotes): Finion grew up in Sinnoh on his parents berry farm, being an only child and having a good relationship with his supportive and very great family. Pokemon wasn't his primary interest and being a trainer wasn't his sole goal until a faithful encounter with a pest that had been terrorising the farm. This was a certain and very hungry Pachirisu whom he befriended and eventually brought with him on his journey when he was old enough to complete it. His first journey was through the Sinnoh region, Finion aiming to simply beat the gym leaders and compete in the Pokemon league rather than going for such a high goal. He achieved it but didn't feel as settled or as fulfilled as he thought he would. With a thirst for adventure Finion continued his journeying, heading from region to region.

Kalos is the 3rd region Finion would visit, right after Hoenn.

Partner Pokemon: Pachirisu (Sparky)
Gender: Male
Ability: Volt absorb
Moves: Iron Tail, Discharge, Quick attack, Double team
Personality: Cheeky and over confident. Sparky's mouth is almost as big as his stomach and considering he can devour 5 plates full of berries in no less than a minute that's no understatement. Despite how cocky the little squirrel is he can be a little civil and focused should the occasion call for it. In battle he follows Finion's commands perfectly and trusts his trainer completely
