Backstory:
Ajax was born in Canalave city where he lives until he was about 8, however following the death of his mother Rose, he was moved around a lot goingbetween towns and cities around Sinnoh. It was during a 3 month stay in the resort area that Ajax came across a badly hurt Beldum who had also been orphaned, Ajax adopted the little Beldum and named him Bastion.

Ajax shared everything with Bastion, any food he got he offered to the Beldum, any spare time they had was spent training and spending time together. Ajax was then fostered under the Canalave Gym Leader Byron who gifted him an pokemon egg. Which soon hatched into aFerroseed adequately name Rose in honor of Ajax's mother.

Thanks to a loop-hole in the Sinnoh league rules Ajax was allowed to use Bastion and Rose as his starting Pokemon and so begun their journey across the Sinnoh Region.

It took a long time but Ajax and a slowly expanding roster finally managed to earn enough badges to take part in the Sinnoh League Conference, where he managed to make it to the final 8 losing to a mega Houndoom, but Ajax wasn't deterred he had heard stories of Steven the Hoenn champion using a Mega Metagross so he decided to head for Hoenn in search of the secret to mega evolution.

While in Hoenn Ajax came across the Battle Pyramid and was invited tochallenge Brandon in a 1v1 exhibition match, Ajax accepted but said he needed a week to prepare himself and his Pokémon for the battle. In the end Bastion was able to single handedly take down Regice in a very long and hardfought battle, Brandon impressed by the young trainers skill offered him a keystone necklace and an offer of a permanent position onboard the Battle Pyramid.

Ajax went on to collect the rest of the badges he needed to participate in the Hoenn League conference, where in which he met Steven and was asked to show him the power of their bond through a battle, Ajax ended up losing the battle very quickly as Bastion was not able to keep up with the speed of Stevens attacks. Steven had been expecting this and the test was not to defeat him but to ensure that Ajx and Bastion would not give up when facing terrible odds, handing the trainer a megastone.

From Hoenn, Ajax was approached by a representative of the Kalosian Government. Not long after he was officially recruited by the Kalos Police as part of a task-force to track down the remnants of Team Flare, following the organisations collapse and splintering to various tiny unaffiliated groups. Working for the team was some of the most intense time of Ajax's life, facing unknown risks and dangers every day, and though he loved the adrenaline rush of bursting through doors to arrest Flare Remnants it forced the then 20 year old to wake up and see the reality of the world. The task-force was disbanded following a failed operation that caused the death of a member and Ajax lost his love for battling, he took his new excess of free time to travel the world eventually settling down on a private island just off the coast of Akala Island Alola. He lived here mostly isolated for the entirety of his year long sabbatical before returning to Sinnoh.

The new Ajax was far more reserved and reflective. His brash adrenaline junkie ways were long gone in favour of a calculated and calm demeanor. This new demeanor also brought with it a drive to forge his own path and independently find his way in the world.

Appearance: She Stands 5'4", wearing a purple tank top, a jacket that looks a little too small for her, both hugging her decent bust and her torso, along with jeans with a purple belt, and a pair of travel shoes. Overall her body is not too thin or too fat, she has no tone to her body, but is considered attractive. She has platinum blonde hair and eyes that are either green or grey depending on the season.

Personality: She is sweet and caring, once you get to know her, otherwise, she is shy, and very quiet, she doesn't let too many people into her heart after Rusty's death just two and a half years before the story starts.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Mike is tall with an athletic build, standing at 6'3" and weighing 190 pounds. His light brown skin is drawn tight over toned muscles, and his large brown eyes are complimented by short dreadlocks that are half-blue and half-black in color. Mike's favorite outfit consists of brown cargo pants and black hiking boots on his bottom half, with a black muscle shirt and a grey parka (with detachable insulated lining) adorning his top half. Mike also frequently wears elbow and knee pads, as well as a pair of "tactical" gloves.

Personality (Outside of Battle): Mike is, in a word, aloof. He doesn't pay much attention to other people and what they are doing, though this is not because he is self-centered. Mike simply prefers the silence of the wilderness and the crackle of a fire, as opposed to the sheer loudness and over-stimulation that comes with being in large groups of people or spending time in cities. When Mike does find himself having to interact with the civilized world, he often comes across as cold and blunt. Mike isn't one to tell a rambling story, meandering through each and every long and drawn out sentence; he is straightforward and to-the-point. Because of his aloof nature, Mike often gets frustrated when he has to interact with people that don't think the same way as him or people who are overly extroverted.

Personality (In Battle): During the heat of battle, Mike's aloof nature begins to fade away, being replaced by an intense and instinctive battle mindset. He often chooses battle partners based on whether or not they share this battle mindset, and his commands are often in complete sync with what his Pokemon is already doing. Mike's extensive time spent in the wilderness, observing wild Pokemon as they battle, has trained his mind to anticipate what any given Pokemon's next move may be, and often he shouts out a command coinciding with this anticipation. Although this battle style may be imperfect from a tactician's standpoint, it has led to many victories for Mike and his partners.

Appearance: Victoria stands at about 5'6" tall, has somewhat light skin, light brown eyes, and short light blonde hair (the bob hairstyle from the XY games with bangs). She also has an expensive small black backpack.
Personality: Due to being raised in a rich family, Victoria does show some traits that a stereotypical rich person would have, although it's not very often. Even though she tries to be more honest with herself, she is not one to admit or express her feelings so easily at times. Once she puts her mind towards something, she usually doesn't back down or give up on it so easily. She can get overconfident at times and tends to beat herself up whenever it leads her to failure.

Backstory: Victoria is from Lumiose City in the Kalos region and came from a wealthy family. Her first Pokémon was a Furfrou, which was gifted to her on her twelfth birthday, and her second was a Bulbasaur, which she found at the age of thirteen when visiting her grandparents in Camphrier Town and left behind to keep them company. When she was at the age of fourteen, she confronted her parents about wanting to go on a journey, but they forbade her as they thought it was unfitting for a girl of her status. Determined to go on a journey no matter what, she ran away from home and left Furfrou and Bulbasaur behind to look after her family. She then went to Professor Sycamore to receive a starter Pokémon, and that was when she chose a Froakie. From there, she left Lumiose City and began her journey. At first, she didn't know what to do in her journey, but she soon decided on going for gym badges in order to compete in the Kalos League Conference.

Throughout Victoria's journey in Kalos, her parents made attempts to bring her back home. From sending someone to retrieve her to intercepting her a few times during her journey. Eventually, with a bit of pleading and attempts to reason from Victoria, her parents came to respect her decision and let her continue her journey, which soothed the relationship between them.

After collecting all eight badges and competing in the Kalos League Conference, Victoria decided to travel to other regions to continue on her journey. Having made this decision, she went to travel the Unova region and then the Hoenn region, to which she also collected their gym badges and took part in their leagues. Now Victoria journeys through the Kanto region, bringing Bulbasaur along and leaving the rest of her Pokémon she obtained throughout her journey behind in Kalos.

Extremely intelligent, methodical, and analytical, Celeste has always been more interested in Pokémon than people. In reality she holds no resentment towards people there’s just not much to talk about in her opinion. Clothing:
Occasionally seen in a 2 piece white strapless shoulder-less dress that goes to down her knees, the upper portion of the dress is intricately decorated and embroidered with glistening gold resembling wings, vines, and waves. The designs continue down the tail of the upper dress as well. She completes this ensemble with a necklace that has the symbol of Arceus as a pendant and a pair of white tennis shoes that also have similar gold trim and deigns on them. She wears a Z-Bracelet on her right wrist.


Alternatively she can also be seen wearing a similar outfit but instead of a white dress with gold, it's blue with silver patterns, and black and silver shoes, it also has shoulder straps more akin to a regular more casual dress and a white short sleeved undershirt. Alright guys I’ve started making the bracket. Quick note to any champions so far I’ve counted up there are three champions in this rp. But I could be mistaken. But since I’m pretty sure there are three champions that means that champions will probably come into the league at the third to last round. Anyway, I’ll post the bracket as soon as I possibly can.

all 3 of my characters have earned Champion titles, but they are not Champions in the way that they are the final battle of the Elite Four like JC or Nick is, they defeated the Champion of the region getting the title but moved on and continued on their adventures etc. So I don't know if that counts as being a Champion or not

Also, about the battles. If your opponent doesn't respond to the RP in 3 days at the most then you automatically win. It's just so we can continue the RP. Also, about JC and Nick being in the semifinals. I did it since there champions from defeating the Elite Four.

Edit: you mean because they are the current acting Champions of their respective regions right? since getting the title, i assume, you just need to beat them, but its up to the individual if they'd like to stay around as the active Champion of the region, or am I understanding that wrong in terms of this RP

I haven't read the brackets but I don't know if I mentioned that Ariah isn't entering the League because:

2. She isn't into actually battling but doesn't mind watching them.

If i may offer a solution due to the brackets down there working the way it is. Celeste is matched with Tucker which was crested to balance it but now its unbalanced so do we still need him? We could just have Ajax paired up with Celeste, that would just make it a one off by its self, but those two trainers are titans by themselves and would make for a pretty epic battle

(Whoever wins against each battle would then fight eachother in second round)
