.... ...... ........................
Razan had found an amazing coast side cave, hidden behind the beauty of the beach itself. There was a small jagged cliff that loomed out like an arrow head inside of the darkness, and below lay an open space; big enough to live in.
"Weather Ball," Razan whispered out into nowhere, and a reaction from his hand came immediately. A orange sphere rose up from his palm, and illuminated the wide clearing. The mage sank his arm down, and the light source stayed in place. Razan grinned.
He slipped off his cloak-like robes, setting them aside, and sighed. Razan didn't know what to do at this point. He thought about going into town and exploring for a little while, and he liked the idea of that. He put his robes back on, and soon headed out of the cave, to the beach, and then to the forest where he started from. While walking, thoughts of Akali burned in his mind, but the mage forced them out. He would take care of that business sooner or later.
......................................................
After a while of walking, he was finally in the range of the city. What Razan hadn't noticed before was that all of this seemed so surreal. This place was practically a paradise. All the structures, all the shops.....were so..................................
Well, he couldn't put it into words. How he felt here, he couldn't describe. That scene compared to this was baffling. Something caught his eye. There was a job board up. Maybe that is were everyone went.
Razan strolled over to it, curious as to what there was. He read multiple before choosing one that looked good enough for him. In a moment due to the directions, he was off.
A long while later he found himself on a farm side, with long rows of crops stretching across the hills. Razan looked down at the paper he was holding. The task was to water a large number of plants, and this certainty needed emphasizing on the large number.
A roundish lady in her mid-forties noticed him while she was carrying a wheelbarrow. "Ah! So you must be the taker! Finally someone willing to take out on this offer!", she exclaimed chuckling to herself. Razan bowed. "My name is Razan Takenawa. I come from the land of Kelan, and I arrived here today. I hope that doesn't make this job anymore different for me," he stated.
The lady scratched her head, new to this knowledge about visitors. "Well, of course it won't matter! We all bipedal mammals helpin each other out, right? Anyhoo, I'm Lou. I've been working on this farm here for a good while now."
As she walked closer, Razan began to draw more detail off of her. Her hair was a naturally curly brown, with just a few gray hairs. Her eyes were a golden brown to match and draw contrast from her eyes. She gestured to a rusty old contraption to the corner of a nearby barn. It looked like it was on another wheelbarrow, but he couldn't tell what it was from the distance. "That right there is the watering machine. Fill up the tank there and drive it around the crops. That will do it once you run it back three or four times or each row. Oh, and if she stops, its the axles. There be some metal wool in the barrow to get that off dear."
Razan shook his head and smiled. "No, no, that's okay. I don't need a watering machine."
Lou looked at him, her head slightly cocked. "No machine? You don't suppose a watering can now do yah?"
Razan did the same, and responded. "No, I have my own ways," and from the palm of his left hand grew a large gray sphere. He closed his eyes and tossed it above the crops. The sphere began to empty its contents, spilling out gray clouds across the crops. Once all of it was spread out, it began to rain. "Oh my....", Lou said with her mouth agape in amazement.
Razan's eyes opened, and he turned to Lou and bowed to her again. "I apologize for not explaining earlier. I have a certain type of magic taht allows me to create weather affects. I'm sorry if that scared you," Razan said to her.
"Oh my god.....Oh my god....." Lou said looking out on the crops being watered. She then screamed with excitement and joy, and shook Razan out of his bow, to his surprise.
"That's amazing! How could I be scared of such a helpful talent like yours?!" Lou happily said smiling, as Razan did the same, slightly confused. She pulled from her pocket a small leather pouch filled with the islands currency. "Take this, your payment. I added a bit more than what the paper said aaaaand, if you come back tomorrow and do the same, I'll pay you again. Ok? You're the most help I've gotten in a real long time."
Razan looked up at her, and shook his head. "I-I can't accept this, this is too large of an amount."
Lou frowned at him and forced the pouch into his hand. "Yes you can. I won't accept it back. Come on, that's plenty for a day or so of food, ain't it?" She winked at him. "You got yourself a job buster."
