Ask to Join Pokemon: World Championship Tournament

You've collected all the gym badges in your home Region, and now you're ready for the World Championship Tournament! The tournament will consist of multiple match-ups of trainers, battling for success and becoming a Pokemon Master! The fights will hard and long, and in the end, only one will be victorious! Will you succeed and become the ultimate Pokemon Master, or will you fail?

It's a sunny day, and the stadium, on a small island off the coast of the Kalos Region, is crowded with people. From trainers hoping to win the tournament, to fans, friends, and family who are only there to watch. Needless to say, there will be many eyes watching the competition.

"It's a glorious day here on the Island of La Victoria, here off the coast of the Kalos Region!" The announcer stated over the intercom. "I'm sure all of you are excited for the first match to start off the tournament! Now, as per usual, only a select few trainers from each region have been permitted to enter, based on their skill and accomplishments as a Pokemon Trainer! The battles are guaranteed to be long and hard, and to keep the audience at the edge of their seats! For the first round, all trainers are permitted to use four Pokemon, in Double-Battle format! Our first match-up is Danny Ibuki, hailing from Lumiose City in the Kalos Region! And, Danny's opponent, Gavin, also from Lumiose City in Kalos! Without any further ado, will the contestants please come to the arena and release their first two Pokemon?"

"It's time to battle..." Gavin said quietly to himself. Walking on the small pathway walk to the battle, he appeared from the battler's pathway. Some fans cheered, well some clapped when he appeared. As of one accomplishment of his, he had defeated everyone but one person in a tournament, being in second place. He also had other accomplishments, but they are a long story. He was waiting for his next opponent, who should be coming in a minute or more.

Danny sprinted to his place and shouted," Sorry, I'm late!" He stood ready to battle and looked his opponent in the eyes and said," Lumiose City eh, I guess you might know my uncle! I'm think you may have recieved you first Pokemon from him, Professor Sycamore, So let's battle!" He readied a Pokeball and waited for Gavin.

 

[Tamazarokon]

Eli watched from the Stands. He saw as Danny and Gavin walked up. He smiled, waiting to see how the battle would turn out. stocking climbed up on Eli's head, Ready to watch the fight. "Pika Pi!" Stocking exclaimed, excited. "Calm down Stocking. We aren't even battling yet." Eli said to his Pikachu

Henry leaned back in his chair for, the stands and blew the hair out of his face. He was curious about his opponet's Pokemon. His stomach growled and he decided to walk off to find some grub, before the matches started. Maybe, being a participant, he'd get a discount. He smiled happily at the thought of food, and rushed down the stairs toward the concession stand.

Danny looked at the Pokéball. He reminisced as he looked at it shine in the sunlight. "Alright, Come on out Gallade!" He reached back into his bag and pulled out an Ultra Ball. He looked at Gavin and said,"C'mon out, Aegislash!" Gallade and Aegislash stood by each other ready for battle(Aegislash just hovered XD).

Henry wasn't the only hungry trainer to of wanted some food before the match started. Fin, who had skipped breakfast, was in dire need of some food and while he had only brought sweets and chocolate in his rush it was food nevertheless. He sat down on his seat In the stadium and placed the bag of goodies in between his feet while he leaned back and watched the double about to happen. His companion Sparky was more interested in the food rather than the fighting so instead of being on his trainer's shoulder, the electric squirrel was in the bag, munching happily away on the treats.

Fin wasn't just there for enjoyment though as he was also analysing his potential opponents', their Pokémon, their strategies and their nature to try and make them easy to predict. This was a doubles match however and not exactly Fin's best battle format as his Pokémon we're all used to single battles. Still, he could pick up a few things from watching the first battle that could help him.

"Looks like it's Battle Time! Destiny and Goodra, beat em'!" Gavin commanded Goodra and Destiny out of their pokeballs. Destiny was a Sylveon, and Gavin's partner. It wasn't Gavin's idea to have one, but he had one, and it was strong. Pokemon looking serious they would win this match. "I basically know Prof. Sycamore, but I never got a starter pokemon from him. Time to battle!"

"You can start this match off!"

 

[Hydreigonborn]

"Gallade, Use Swords Dance, and Aegislash, protect him, with King's shield!" Danny said as he pointed at his Pokemonj. Gallade and Aegislash were ready for anything that was thrown at them. GAllade was sorrunded by several blades. Raising his attack sharply. Aegislash hovered in front of Gallade, with his shield up, waiting fro their oppents to make a move.

"Oh yeah, using that strategy? Goodra use Rain Dance, and Destiny, use Moonblast to break the shield!" Gavin commanded, using his breaking shields strategy.

Goodra hailed a rain cloud all over the field, and the cloud dropped rain. Even though Destiny couldn't handle rain at first, she was trained, especially when she was a Eevee. She was now well-trained, and could handle the rain with her feelers.

A normal-powered Moonblast went towards the shield, and it looks like it will hit the shield, and break it.

As the battle started Fin raised a hand to support his chin, leaning forwards and placing an elbow on one of his knees. Hmm, Danny likes to set up first. Dangerous since the Aegislash is a difficult Pokémon to deal with on it's own, now with the attack boosted Gallade Gavin's going to have a difficult time. But that rain though.

Fin's thoughts were cut off as he felt a Pokémon on his shoulder, Sparky having ventured out the treat bag and climbed onto the trainers shoulder. "Heheh, sorry" As well as an apology Fin would lift his hand to rub the Pachirisu's chin, glancing at the people sitting next to him for a second before returning his attention back to the battle.

Henry returned with his mouth full of popcorn. "Crud, the battle started," he mumbled rushing to his seat with his mouth full of food. He sat down and watched as the battle unfolded. They were setting up to do some damage. Henry leaned back and watched.

Aegislash switched to blade form as the moon blast hit it's shield."Now," Danny smiled. Aegsialsh hovered quickly over to Destiny and slash at the sylveon with Sacred Sword. "Gallade, Poison Jab, on that Sylveon," GAllade coated it's arm blade in poison and rushed toward Destiny."I see what your doing, Goodra can't have Status effects if My guess is right!"

Destiny dodged the sacred sword, thanks to it being fast. "Destiny, use your feelers to pick Gallade up!" Destiny got a bit the of the attack on her feelers, and got hurt not badly, but could be a problem for Gavin. There was a seen of purple bubbles on Destiny. "Oh great, it's poison!" Gavin said deeply.

"Use thunder on Aegislash!" Goodra shot a bolt into the air, and came down towards Aegislash.

Destiny got harmed by the poison, her eyes blinking every 5 seconds.

Gallade swumg bcak with his other arm, in attempt to hit Destiny. "Aegislash, oir wait is over, Kings Shield!" Aegislash defended against Goodra's assualt.

"Oh, great.. You sure are something!"

Right when Gavin said that, without command, a Draining Kiss went towards Gallade by Destiny, and Goodra used Aqua Tail at the shield to hopefully break it.

"Goodra, quickly run away from Aegislash, I think he'll attack after you might break the sheild!"

Goodra ran.

 

[Hydreigonborn]

Gallade took the kiss, and continued his assualt with his other arm. Aegislash pursued Goodra. Aedislash stayed in defense form.

Danny watched the battle. He started to think of various strategiesm

Henry glanced at his watch. "I'm late," he mumbled to himself. He got up and rushed towards the others arena. He couldnt lose his first match due to a disqualification, that would be the worst.

"Now, we're sorry for the hold up! Here, within a few minutes, the match in the second arena will begin!" The announcer called, over the intercom. "Our matchup in Arena 2 will be Henry Jade from Olivine City in the Johto Region, versus Lamden Archen from Driftveil City in the Unova Region! Will the contestants please proceed to Arena 2?"

 

[Tamazarokon]

"Hm. Another battle. This time they are from even from different regions. How will this turn out?" Eli asked himself. He turned to the second arena. He was closer to this one. He watched as one of the challengers approached his spot.

Henry walked onto the battlefield with a pokeball in each hand. He was totally ready to go. He listened to the noise of the crowd cheering, and he smiled. He was totally pumped.

 

[Martin Pine]

Fin was quite torn of whether to carry on watching the double battle that had already started or to head to the second arena and begin watching the battle that was about to begin. He knew if he chose the latter he wouldn't see the entire battle since if he was correct he was scheduled for a battle next, against who he did not know.

Meanwhile Sparky was enjoying the battle, having a pretty good view due to being perched on Fin's shoulders and standing on his back two legs. The squirrels tail would wrap gently around the back of Fin's head so he wouldn't loose balance whilst munching away on some sweets, which the electric type continued to do.

There was another match that would begin, but Gavin had to focus. Somehow, Aegislash was still in defense formed, and was pursuing Goodra. "Not so fast! Use Thunder at max power!" The rain was on, but for only 30 seconds it would last. This battle is getting a bit harder when the seconds go by, but it shall be a learning experience for Gavin.

This Thunder should hit, because it is raining, but only for a couple of seconds.

Aegislash defended against the attack with King's Sheild. "Now!" Danny shouted. Aegislash charged at Goodra with Shadow Claw.

Gallade picked up Destiny through her into the ground. He readied a Poison Jab. Gallade waited to conter attack.
