I'm sorry, but that SoulSilver team is god-awful and really cheap as well. Three legendaries, one pseudo-legendary, all of which are Dragon? Plus the two least powerful Eeveelutions? You do realize all of your Pokemon will be taken out by Ice or Fighting, and you're not being defensive at all? Not a fantastic thing right there, my friend.

Your soon-to-be Emerald team looks pretty good, though!

SlowPokemon: you've obviously never seen a TRUE umbreon, then. Chadwyck has a marvelous Umbreon set that is absolutely devastating. Umbreon as a whole has a plethora of support and defensive options available, and is not to be underestimated.

Three good Pokemon right there! Yanmega will be destroyed by Rock-types, so you have Feraligatr and Lucario to back it up... Lucario will be taken out by Fighting (Yanmega, good), Fire (Feraligatr, good), and Ground (man, you got this covered!). Grass- and Electric-types will take down Feraligatr, and you have Yanmega for Grass... why not a Ground, to deal with Electric-types? I suggest Mamoswine--it's really bulky and pretty powerful, and also a good Dragon killer.

So that's four. Ninetales, Magmar, and Houndoom are good for Fire-types. Lickilicky, Miltank, and Tauros make for good stalling Normal-types. Sunflora, Victreebel, and Tangrowth are nice Grass-types. Psychic-types are great to have around as well, so I suggest finding one! The Eevee you receive in Goldenrod is an excellent way to get an Espeon.

It's attack is a good surplus. (220+) Makes it good for Razor Leaf and Earthquake.

Lanturn, Sassy Nature.
It's meant to be a special tanker, but it dishes out quite the damage.

Altaria, Adamant Nature.
I use the Power Herb to charge up her fast Sky Attack. 210 Power with STAB, and 30% flinching chance =3
For an extra bonus against Garchomp, Dragonite, and Salamence- here comes Ice Beam ♥

In training-:

Shuckle, Calm nature~

Moveset- Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Substitute, and Power Trick.

Gallade, Naughty nature.
It's only Lv26. Don't get your hopes up. xD

No-one minds a debate, but this is very, VERY close to being considered flaming. I suggest you watch yourself SlowPokemon unless you want to be hammered with warnings.

I've never been able to restart a game, as I get wayyy too attached to my Pokemon to do that. Also, I wouldn't have the dedication to play something over again.
I have gotten other games besides Crystal, but I only really feel like typing up this one ...

Crystal: In which I am like six and make my team horrible but still beat the E4 around fifty times and leveled my team to the 80s and one 100. Then the internal battery died and I lost everything. It's a touchy subject.
I recreated this team in Pearl, and gave them better nicknames, so the nicknames listed are their newer ones.
Crystal the Feraligatr: The only Pokemon I've ever leveled to 100. Ever.
Tawn the Noctowl
Plume the Vileplume: Poor Vileplume, I gave it the worst moves.
Crim the Red Gyarados: My only shiny ever. I don't understand how everyone seems to encounter shinies left and right, because I have never stumbled upon one.
Chrome the Steelix
Honorary members include Mystique the Misdreavus and … Sneasel.
