I'm thinking of making either Pac man or Dark Soul into a character but I need help on how to do it

Though I do not have any idea as to who most of these characters are, I do have an idea for a SEGA character. This is going to shock you.

Weapon: Fists, his car, car gear + tools, maybe the occassional knife or bass guitar (because he is said to be a bass guitarist)

I don't exactly know how these 'solo units' and duos work so I don't know what you mean.
Duo units are character pairs that do the main fighting, and solo units are individual characters that mainly provide support.

What confuses me is are you saying that they fight in teams of 3? The solo characters can't just be on their own?
The solo characters can be on their own, but don't do much unless they're partnered up. The team characters are stuck as a pair, while the solos can shift teams freely.

I mean, you could argue that the pair with Axel is himself and the taxi. I kind of need to see footage from the game. When i look it up in youtube, the footage freezes and it isnt loading for me.

Yeah it does. It looks very street-fighter-esque. I can see that special attack Wright and his assistant are doing.
Phoenix and Maya were only solo characters in PXZ2, but they're getting fully fleshed out fighter positions in my version.

I find it wierd that you have to be part of a duo to be 'fleshed out.' Surely you can just fight on your own...
Not in PXZ...
He could fight solo potentially, but in order to maximize his potential in the context of PXZ he does need synergy with a partner.

I think this is why i prefer smash bros as a game crossover. Most of the time, we get to see one character completely fleshed out as they should be, except for the duck hunt duo and pokemon trainer obviously. I can think of millions of attacks for some characters. Of course some characters do make more sense in a duo.
