Hey there fellow role-players! I've been working on the this world in my head for quite some time now so I thought it was about time it saw the light of day. So without further ado...
Rapture
A futuristic world in which humanity has been confined to only a few strongholds. The only stations down on earth are Greenwich, a large base that has been established within the remains of London, Oaiberg, the biggest and most fortified city left on the planet which can be found in Germany and the so called Apple 2.0 which in reality is the only habitable territory left in America, located in what was once Maine. Other than this we have one last strong hold. Installation 01 otherwise known as Skyfort, which in reality is a massive space station orbiting the moon. So know you know what’s become of the last members of humanity, or at least most of them. There are a few I have yet to mention. Outlanders is the not so fond nickname given to those who remain in isolated communities on the surface outside of Dominion (The name given to the human colonies as whole). These groups have to contend with the largely mutated wildlife that now inhabit the planet and resources are scarce. Outlanders have been known to ambush Dominion troops in an attempt to gain weapons and valuable materials so they aren’t much liked by the general population.
So I’m guessing your wondering why the planet has gone to shit. Well in a nutshell things went nuclear. It’s not known who fired the first missile but it doesn’t really matter, what matters is that when the dust settled the world we knew was gone for ever. From the ashes and rubble humanity rose like a phoenix, only to be faced with a world even more hostile than the one they had lived in before. It took years to establish the few strongholds we have and even now they are at constant risk of being consumed by any one of the hazards that come into contact with it on a day to day basis. But things have got better. Our technology is fantastic, I’m talking A.I, laser tech, holograms, and all that goodness. For the most part those within the walls of the cities live a good life, and will continue to do so if everything keeps going to plan. The most crucial part of our new society is the zero point reactor located in the North Pole, it provides most of the power that keeps both Greenwich and Skyfort running. The Dominion government has worked tirelessly to both protect the territory we already have whilst also gaining more, taking it back from the ghost of nature. Speaking of nature….
So every species on earth had to adapt to the new climate of die out, simple as that. Many did the latter as they couldn’t handle such extreme change but a good few did make it through. The oceans were mostly unaffected by the event, actually the population of the deep blue grew without human interference. That being said we wouldn’t recommend any fishing trips. On land it was mostly bugs and reptiles that kept things going but select members of the mammals, birds and amphibians have stuck around. Plant life adapted fairly easily, in fact a lot of the urban environments are now rich jungles and woodland. Some of the creatures that are most noteworthy are the rats, crows and ants. Each of these species has thrived. Rats now look a lot more like primates, more developed forelimbs, dexterous feet and tails they can actually use to climb with. Perhaps the more terrifying change would be the teeth and claws situation. Considering your average rat is now the size of a Labrador it’s weaponry have scaled up with it, claws about an inch long and a full set of canines to go with those familiar incisors. Crows look largely the same but have also gotten a little bit bigger than the ones you know. About the size of a car. Not the kind of creature you want to mess with but hey. Other than that the most impressive feature would be the extra pair of wings, which are more like that of a bats but with feathers. They actually have digits on this pair that allow them to grasp prey with ease. Ants have gone through perhaps the most extreme change. About a foot long each these armoured beasts dig out huge hives to live in and to protect their precious queen. The thing is that they have now got an almost perfect hive mind and can process data from one each other in nano seconds. This makes them lethal in battle as they all learn together.
So now we move on to the most important thing, you! You shall be roleplaying as a member of a P.E.S.T. Or in layman’s terms a protection, eradication and survival team. These guys are the brave men and women who risk their lives venturing beyond our safe havens in search of old technology and in an effort to take back the lost cities of earth. Your squad however is a new kind of P.E.S.T comprised of hand-picked soldiers in an effort to make it the best of its kind. You will be kitted out with the newest technology and be the shield that protects the last cities. Hopefully you will also form close bonds with your fellow team mates! After all where better a place to make friends than the battlefield? So I’m gonna allow you to pick a role on the team and do as you wish with it. Some of these roles can be combined with others, for example what is going on with our CQB/ tracker combo, provided that your primarily one or the other. Like how Crunchy's character is a tracker but with CQB weapons. We can’t have more than one of the same for varieties sake. So without here are all the options we have open, if it has a name beside it I'm afraid its taken.
CQB (Close quarter combat, so shotguns and hand to hand basically) - @CrunchyCucumber
Pyro
Demolition and heavy ordinance expert (Big booms)
Assault (Just your usual solider, not specialized into any one thing.)
Medic (Doesn’t mean you can’t also be an ass kicker!)
Pilot - @Ry_Burst
Support (LMG’s. prepare to carry the ammo.) - @Sky5372
Tech expert (Your gonna be in charge of hacking into old technology and taking down any war mind A.I’s we find.) - @Sky5372
Tracker (You’re an expert in hunting down the beasties of the wild, for this role you are most certainly allowed a robotic canine companion to assist you, provided we don’t have a Jockey) - @CrunchyCucumber
Jockey (You’re a mech pilot, each one of these machines has a highly sophisticated A.i to go with it which you will have a strong bond with. Think Titanfall. Due to the sheer size of these things you won’t be able to bring it on every mission.)
Firefly (Specialized jet pack trooper, you’re going to be used to aerial combat.)
Outlander (So this isn’t as much of a set role as the others and you will be joining the team once the first mission is well underway. You could be an Outlander as well as a Tracker, honestly I think that’s a solid combo, but it’s important that you have to want to work with the Dominion, something uncommon amongst Outlanders.)
Raider (SMGs, pistols, used to having to be on the front lines)
Paladin (Hard light shields and machine pistols. The riot gear of the future.)
Assassin/ Sniper (Long range DPS combined with stealth aspects.) - @Nebula-Newt
Gunslinger (The cowboys of old come back to life with these guys, handguns are their specialties. Dual wield a pair of big old revolvers and you'll be spraying mutant rat blood on the walls in no time.)
Scavenger (A division of Outlander, these guys are used to using things that are a little on the second hand kind of things. And by that I mean their armour was probably stripped from the corpse of some poor sod who looked at a crow the wrong way. Perks of this job are that you just have a knack for using relics of old, ancient rifle? 100 year old bullets? No problem.)
So that’s it! Once you pick your class you’re going to have to fill in the rest of this bio, helpfully displayed below. Just to make sure you read everything make sure to write HOOPLA in the extra section of your bio.

Here is mine just so you have an idea of what to do. Dont feel obliged to have to do any drawings though, just a detailed description is enough.
Name: Foster Wilks (Codename Anomaly. The events that have happened to Foster are one of a kind. Cyborgs are an extreme rarity in this world so just bare that in mind if you were thinking of making your own.)
Age: 23
Class: Sniper/ Assassin
Physical appearance: Due to his augmentations it’s rare that Foster actually ever shows his face. However if you do get the chance to see what is hiding behind his mask you’ll be greeted by stormy grey eyes, each one of which possess an iris that looks like it has a thundercloud brewing in it, a mess of short black hair, and an overall relatively handsome face. His mixed English/ German heritage really shines through in his serious, dark and arching eyebrows and strong English accent that has a rather robotic hint to it these days.
Armour appearance: Foster’s armour is built into his body for the most part, and although he might not like it he is more machine now than he is a man. I’ve drawn a picture of what his face looks when not exposed so just kinda picture the rest of his armour to look fairly similar with the same colour scheme.
View attachment 484632
Weapons: This Cyborg sniper’s weapon of choice is the Horizon V11, a long ranged semi-automatic rifle that fires high calibre plasma rounds that are capable of boring through even thick metal. The rifle is actually linked to a programme and HUD inside of Foster’s mask that allows him to see a holographic sight on the sniper despite its lack of a material one. For those tight situations he also carries a standard issue fully automatic B3P handgun, otherwise known as the Accomplice. For melee combat he uses a collapsible tomahawk that folds right out of a groove built into his arm. With a flick of the wrist it can reveal itself and be in Foster’s hand, ready to go.
View attachment 484633
Equipment: Active camouflage, Foster can use this for a short amount of time to become almost invisible. However if he is damaged the effect wears off.
Personality/ History: Before the incident that took his legs Foster was a real jokester, he wanted to enjoy what little time he had on this godforsaken planet to the fullest. However he was also a solider, he felt it was his duty to protect the safety he had felt himself as a child whilst within the great walls of Greenwich. So he enlisted as a regular troop for the Dominion and was soon upgraded to a P.E.S.T. However on his very first mission his team was ambushed by Outlanders, a mine had been placed on the road that destroyed the transport they had been using at the time as well as everybody inside of it. The only reason Foster survived was because he was actually laying on top of the vehicle, messing about and taking pot-shots at old service bots in shop windows. Despite his luck the young man didn’t come away unscathed. Both of his legs were torn up to the point where doctors had no choice but to amputate them and he was told he would have to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He tried to adapt to this new life but sadly he was plagued with depression and flashbacks to what had happened to the rest of his squad. Nasty stuff. That was at least until some rather shady members of the Dominion elite approached him with an offer. They told him they could get him back outside the walls, making a real difference but only if he would trust them and be part of a new experimental programme. Fearing his life would be meaningless otherwise Foster signed up, being one of 20 ex-soldiers, all of which had been discharged due to injuries. The augmentations were a messy affair and by the time everything was said and done only 5 of the specimens remained. Each one of these new “Enhanced soldiers” was fitted with a new breed of hyper intelligent A.I that would guide them through the process of getting used to their new bodies. Foster was paired up with Angel, a “Female” A.I who had big dreams for the two of them. With Angel’s help he soon found himself at the point where he would consider himself combat ready. That was when shit hit the fan for the young man again. Two of the other A.I had actually managed to override the tech fitted in their respective soldiers and had taken over their bodies, using them to kill almost every member of staff in the complex. Foster and the other two test subjects were only able to escape because Angel and the other two A.I gave themselves up to the pair of rouges, who little did Foster know at the time were actually sent by a very particular group of Outlanders. Anyway with the hope that he would one day get the chance to rescue Angel, Foster joined a new supposed elite P.E.S.T. squad with a new outlook on life. He may have grown up a bit these days but the fun loving youngster lives on in his metal body.
Extra: Hoopla!
So one last thing to mention is that all the standard Pokecharms roleplay rules apply here and just so I know you've read everything remember to put Hoopla in your Extra section of the bio. I look forward to seeing you outside the walls of the Dominion my friends!
