Name: Helenite
Nicknames: Mt. Helen (Nicknamed such by the other Helenites she worked with, due to her towering height when compared to the usual short and stocky Helenites, making her seem like a mountain to them.)
Pronouns: She, her
Gem Cut (The shape of your gem. It must be a real gem cut, so look them up, if you don't know what they are): Octagon
Gem Location: On the back of her right hand.
Appearance: Tall and stocky, Helenite cuts a pretty towering figure. Her skin is a light green colour. Her hair shoots back out at an angle from her head in a spiked shape, like other Helenite, and is a darker, deep green in colour.
She also wears a dark green glass visor of a rectangular shape from her hair downwards that ends after her eyes and just before her nose. Her clothing consists of a one piece uniform, of the same dark green colour as her hair and visor, which doesn’t cover her feet or hands.
That uniform has a black x-like shape on it, meeting in the middle of her uniform, where the Yellow Diamond insignia is placed.
Weapon: Gloves- Helenite’s gem allows her to manifest simple dark green coloured gloves on her hands, with Octagon cut gem shaped holes in the middle, making her gem still visible. Despite not really serving much of a purpose, they’re necessary for the safety of a Helenite when doing their job or using their power in any way, due to their resistance to heat.
Powers: Volcanic Eruption - Helenite can transfer intense heat into materials or surfaces by pressing her hands against them. This is possible even through her gloves. This heat takes a decent amount of continuous contact to build up, and tends to create large amounts of steam in the process. When built high enough on a surface or object, there are two possibilities: Depending on the objects strength, size or combustibility, it may either begin to melt completely, or combust in an explosion, the excess heat erupting outwards in a burst of flame or magma. This tends to depend on how volatile the material or object is, or how long it was heated up for. Despite the durability of her own body, Helenite is not immune to the heat she generates in the slightest, making the gloves a useful tool while heating things up.
Alignment: Herself
Other: During her creation, there was an accident, resulting in her coming out much taller than a usual Helenite. Helenite was created long after her kind had essentially been damned to their new role, told by a far senior Helenite who worked with her about the good old days, and the roles they used to fulfil. She spent a lot of her time dreaming and imagining of going back to those glory days, where Helenites helped create instead of just mindlessly destroy. Helenite’s aren’t exactly known for being the sharpest tools in the shed, and Helen lived up to this expectation, when she began to question the new role assigned to Helenite’s, not truly understanding the consequences she would face. She managed to escape these consequences with the help of that older Helenite, and is now on the run, looking out only for herself and still truly not understanding her situation, or the monsters she has to evade for her own safety, not knowing the true nature of what she is fighting.
Helenite Gem Background: A type of Green obsidianite serving under Yellow Diamond, Helenites are seen as below the level of importance of a Peridot. Due to their abilities to cause intense, almost volcanic heat, they are used as Forge helpers alongside Bismuths, or for demolition and destruction of unneeded materials and structures. They are known to fuse together for the sake of efficiency, allowing them to double their heat output and double their ability to resist and store that heat. When Helenites were first created, their use was intended to be to help with forging and construction alone: But as Homeworld’s empire quickly grew ever more expansive, and unneeded structures and materials needed to be disposed of, it was discovered that Helenites were far more useful for this crude purpose, and what amounted to the entire group of gems was reassigned to this lower position.

Helenite flopped down onto her rear, letting out a deep sigh of relief as she rested herself against the stone, leaning her head against the cave’s wall. She’d been running for a while, and had gotten absolutely nowhere. This entire “expedition” had NOT been worth it. She could hear noises, distant echoes, and she really wasn’t sure if those were any of the monsters she had ran into on the way, back for revenge, not completely dead. Or maybe they were creatures she hadn’t even seen yet. That possibility concerned her more: It meant there was even more here that she wasn’t aware of. She finally stood up, not being able to discern the directions of the noises, but knowing she had to get as far away from them as possible, so she decided to make a... creative little cut through the cave system. She slowly approached the wall she had once been leaning against, pressing her palms to it, her gloves forming in her hands as she felt that oh so familiar sensation, as the walls began to heat up, steam sizzling out from the point where her fingers met the wall. Two red hot, melting holes were beginning to form in the stone wall soon enough, those craters spreading in size as the sides of the circles began to meet, the steam now beginning to show itself on the other side of the wall as the craters began to deepen into the wall. Little did she know that this wall would lead through to the inside of the cave the Peridot had stumbled upon, and by the time the wall had melted enough to pass through, she would have found herself in a situation much worse than she had been prior.
