Gryffindork
Hello there, I don't believe I've ever posted in this board. This here writing collection is named after the first entry, a very short script called...
Pardon my mediocrity~ Now I can't say this will be updated often, but it will be whenever I feel a random urge to write stuff, so stay tuned :3
Shadows
Opening Shot: Exterior, Far off shot of a silent house, two stories tall, but not very large overall, standing alone in the darkness alongside a crumbling road. Rain falls as a lone figure enters the frame (from right), a coat seemingly held tight around them, it is difficult to tell in the darkness.
Move To: A close profile of the figure as they walk along the road, their face obscured by a hood, until a thunder, signaled by first by lightning, roars across the sky, the characters looks toward the camera, revealing the face for a split second as lightning strikes again, before they huddle back into the hood for warmth.
Cut To: A further profile, panning with the character as they approach the house carefully. They stop to check the window, satisfied that the place is abandoned, they move to the door, kneeling to pick the lock only to find it open.
Cut To: Interior, a small living room. The only furniture remaining is an ancient couch and a small table in one corner. Character enters through the just opened door, examining the room as they pull down the hood of their coat, revealing their face more fully, though it is still dark.
Move To: Waist up shot of character, following them as they cross the room, to an empty door frame.
Cut To: A smallish kitchen, the appliances remain, though disheveled. Character checks the refrigerator, only to find the expected nothing, then moves on, leaving the room, presumably back through the living room.
Cut To: The top of a narrow staircase. The shadows seem to shift slightly, though it may be an illusion, as the character appears in the background, at the foot of the stairs, looking up toward the camera.
Cut To: Over the shoulder shot of the character, as they climb the stairs, slowly, always cautious.
Move To: Waist up shot of the character, standing in a bedroom, a door leads off into a bathroom at one end of the room, and the bed still remains. Seeming satisfied, the traveler removes their coat, placing it carefully by the side of the bed. They lie down, though their eyes don’t shut.
Cut To: A close up shot of the character, lying on their side. The shadows seem to shift again.
Traveller
“Hello?”
Fade To: Sunlight streams through the bedroom window of an old house. No there is no sign of the traveler in the bedroom.
Cut To: The kitchen, filled with light. Again, the traveler is missing.
Cut To: The living room. The room is still mostly dark, though light comes in from the kitchen, the shades are drawn. A long, hooded coat hangs by the sleeve on the doorknob. The sleeve hangs from the door as we
