Brandon was looking around during a loading transition in Metal Gear Seviper. and checked his Pika-Tendo Switch case. He had Crash Lycanroc, Jigglypuff Star Allies, Unown 99, Bagon's Crafted World, The Legend of Meloetta: Breath of the Wild and Tenta-toon 2. It was a nice collection of games but that didn't help his boredom, as he needed to talk to someone. He saw that most of the students were in pairs, and he was the only one alone. Meanwhile Kadabra and Gible were watching the surroundings.

Katelyn shrugged "well I just mean like what do you specialise in I guess, like my mom is a performer and my dad is a battler. But like theres researchers and breeders and a few more main ones that I cant remember, I'm a performer at heart but I wont shy away from a battle" I say with a big grin before glancing out the window. Ginger sniffed Stella back in response before smiling at the fellow Eevee, Blaze stood up in Katelyn's head and circled several times before laying back down.

"Ah well you see I plan on becoming the next Kalos Queen so I guess a performer! My mama is Dutchess ranked in the Battle Chateau but she's given up on the battling lifestyle after my grandfather became the new CEO of the Pokeball Factory since her and papa need to travel all over the world handling buisness deals and what not" Lily informs with a smile. "But Nari, Stella, Luna, and I plan on taking the Pokemon Showcase by storm and become the reigning Kalos Queen!" The pinkette excitedly says, Bulbasaur and Eevee nodding their heads vigorously in agreement. In her opinion, being stuck in a abnormally warm bus with other kids was actually more enjoyable than being cooped up in a large lonely house running away from her mothers Mismagius who bullied her relentlessly.

The bus safely drove through the different cities, heading for Snowbelle. When the bus neared Anistar City, that's when the weather changed drastically. The air slowly became rigid and cold, causing Lily and her Pokemon to snuggle together. Stella and Nari shivered close together due to them not being used to the cold. "Snowbelle City is going to be a pain if it's already this cold here."

The entry into Anistar City also disturbed Brandon's Pokemon as well. Kadabra clutched it's tail and used it like a pillow. Froakie popped out and upon feeling the cold air, it surrounded itself and Gible with Frubbles. Brandon was personally not minding the cold, because it felt nice to him. "I'm surprised that Anistar's air feels like my airconditioned room. I like it here." Brandon then felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around to see his mother's Beeheyem. "Oh, hello. Why are you here?" He asked. Beeheyem handed him a sack. "Oh, my lunch. Thanks Beeheyem." Brandon said gratefully. Beeheyem then teleported back as He continued playing Metal Gear Seviper 5.

Looking up, Tiberius noticed someone else sit down on the seat beside him. "Huh? Oh- Sorry... You can sit there if you want, I don't mind at all" He noticed the female's Pokemon, Then looked back at his book not even bothering to ask her name. The reason of not asking about her name was because he wasn't really into conversation anyway. His Skorupi had again came out of it's ball, This time his Skorupi gave a little noise saying hello to the Pokemon beside his trainer.

Lasis stared expressionlessly through her reflection in the bus window. She had been doing this for miles now. There was simply nothing else to occupy herself with. Lasis did not own any sort of device that would help pass the time, such as the Applin company’s new Rotom-phone; she was still using an old fashioned Pokedex. As for Pokemon, there was only really room in her row to release one. Metapod had been the first of her three Pokemon to voluntarily emerge from its Pokeball. Some time back, as the bus was entering Dendemille, Lasis had made an attempt at communication with the Metapod. It was futile. The cocoon’s only method of signalling was through blinking, and Lasis was relatively certain that Metapod had not taken the time to learn Morse code. Hell, she hadn’t taken the time to learn Morse code. All there was left to do at that point was to stare aimlessly out the window. Now, as the bus was passing through Anistar, even the window was losing its value as entertainment. The air had grown gradually more frigid as the class moved east, and the glass was beginning to glaze over with a layer of condensation. Overwhelmed with boredom, Lasis began to scan the bus for something else to stare at. Through the crack between the seats, she noticed that the boy in front of her was playing some sort of video game involving cardboard boxes, among other things. Lasis, stripped of all other options, decided to watch for a while.

Katelyn chuckled "Kalos Queen, well I guess that makes us rivals then doesn't it" she said with a smile and a playful punch to the arm, "my mum was a model and my dad was a gym leader but they both retired after I was born, my mom's agency said her pregnancy ruined her figure and my dad was told to retire so they could replace her with someone younger" I say with a bright smile.

Brandon had not noticed the brown-haired girl watching him, as he was on a boss. This boss was called "The Hitmonchan on Fire." This boss was notoriously deadly, and Brandon knew it. He needed to break the water tanks to hurt this boss. Brandon made Solid Seviper dodge some Fire Balls, and hit a water tank. The water did some damage to this flaming Hitmonchan, but it landed a grab. It instantly killed Seviper. "Darn it, that damn grab!" Brandon said slightly pissed. Suddenly noticing the girl watching him, he changed. "Oh, sorry for that. My name is Brandon, and I was just playing Metal Gear Seviper 5. What's yours?" He asked.

"Huh? Oh, all I heard was that you said you don't know how to talk to people," Alfie lied. It probably wouldn't do much good if Alfie was honest about what he heard, and his bus-mate seemed a bit anxious already. However, he heard oohs and ahs as he looked out the window and a chill ran down his body. Vanillish's Pokeball wriggled around excitedly, she loved cold weather. The boy, though, started to shiver, pulling out a blanket which he placed on top of him and Clefairy. "It's getting colder really fast, and I have another blanket. You want it?"

"Yeah, I didn't pack a bunch of stuff, a blanket would be pretty nice right now, I think its pretty nice how you're being nice, no one's ever really been nice to me in a while, I think its because of my dad dying or because I've been pranking everyone, whatever it is I'm pretty glad that someone is showing me some hospitality." Charlie said in a solemn tone as he looked outside the window. "Do you mind if I watch you play one of your games, what is it called, Mineshaft?" Charlie asked.

"Ok!" Alfie took out a light blue blanket and handed it to Charlie. He took out his Pika-tendo Switch and booted up Mine-scraft, creating a new world. He found a tree and punched it until he had three blocks of wood, then making a Scrafting Table, a Wooden Pickaxe, and a Berry Planter. A Berry Pig was nearby, which he battled, harvesting its Cheri Berries. He chopped down more trees, doing the same thing he'd done twenty times before. Wood, home, stone, furnace, upgrade, iron, tower, diamond, portal, nether, potion, eye.

"You want to dig a staircase down the second you get stone that way you have more of a chance to find iron, I'm sorry I know a lot about this game, since I never played the game before, I just look up all the recipes on it, the mobs, and even walked a walkthrough on it, are you having trouble with this game?" Charlie asked as he started calming down. "This guy is pretty cool, I wonder if he's also needing a friend." Charlie thought as he cuddled the blanket Alfie gave him.

"Yes, I suppose that does mean we're rivals" Lily says with a grin, Stella looking at Ginger with a sudden new fire in her eyes that was lit the second her trainer found a rival. Nari, Lily's Bulbasaur, was too busy shivering from the cold to even care. "Well I truly wish our heated rivalry would warm us up since the weather here is not pleasant at all" Lily shivered out, hugging Stella and Nari as if her life depended on it. Nari sensed a buzzing coming from her trainers bag, so she used her vines to take out Lily's pastel pink Rotomphone that had recently become a popular item globally before declining the call. "Thank you Nari" Lily softly says, petting the young Bulbasaur on the head.

The scenery presented by Anistar City slowly dissapeared as it got replaced by Couriway Town, slowly getting closer to Snowbelle City. And with each mile they got closer, the temperature dropped.

Lasis watched as the boy’s character was slaughtered by a large, combusting Hitmonchan. A moment later, she realized that she had been noticed. The boy introduced himself as “Brandon”, and requested her name. Lasis was slightly surprised that Brandon had managed to detect her watching his gameplay through the crack in the seats, but replied politely,
“It’s Lasis. Nice to... meet you.”
Then, as an afterthought,
“That wasn’t bad. The game, I mean.”
It was then that Lasis finally noticed Brandon’s Kadabra. She recalled the species's enigmatic method of evolution, and a thought crossed her mind.
“Hey, if you need help evolving your Kadabra, I could make the trade,” Lasis offered. She wasn’t sure if the boy would be willing to let his Pokemon undergo such a drastic change. But in any case, extending a helping hand couldn’t hurt.

The cold was driving Brandon's Pokemon crazy. Kadabra was literally pulling his tail towards itself as Froakie and Gible were covering themselves in thousands of Frubbles. "Thanks, but what Pokemon would you trade me? Trades go two ways, don't they?" Brandon replied as he pondered the options in the cold air of Couriway. He didn't notice his panicking Pokemon as they tried to stay warm.

Sitting by himself at the back of the bus, Bernard could feel the temperature gradually growing colder. Not that it bothered him. He'd packed for the cold with an extra layer, and on top of that he was fairly used to the cold due to his upbringing near Mamoswine Road.

The bus trip thus far had been rather uneventful, but luckily for him the cold had given him an excuse to let out one of his Pokémon. Snover quickly materialized out of the Poké Ball Bernard had just pulled out, curiously surveying his surroundings. The air around him immediately grew frigid, but with the current temperatures he'd doubted that anyone would be bothered by the Ice-type, if they even noticed it.

"Almost there, Snover," Bernard mused, grinning at his Pokémon, "Snowbelle City is the place to be for Ice-types, so I'm sure we'll have fun!" Snover excitedly clapped his arms together, hopping on the empty seat next to his trainer.

 

[G-Max Befuddle]

"Oh, thanks! I usually just look for caves, which there don't appear to be any of." Alfie did as Charlie instructed and within seconds found a vein of iron. "Wow, that was fast!" Alfie felt happy that someone was talking to him instead of him awkwardly approaching someone and weirding them out like he usually did. Gaming was one of his favorite and only pastimes, since he didn't really get much free time. He tried to improve but was... pretty pathetic, usually. Wait, is he talking to me because he pities me? Or does he need a friend? Or does he think I need a friend?

The scene outside turned more and more lifeless as the bus crawled eastward, and the air inside was beginning to bite. Lasis barely heard Brandon’s inquiry over the mounting complaints of nearby Pokemon. She wondered if anyone in the class had a fire type, as she began to dig around in her pocket. Lasis finally managed to fish out a Pokeball, and almost dropped it due to her numbing fingers. Metapod looked at her blankly before melting itself down into a mass of energy and returning.
“I can exchange this one with you,” Lasis said, holding out the Pokeball.
“It won’t matter much anyways, since we’d just end up trading back to each other.”

Charlie was pretty calmed down after getting on the bus earlier, he decided not to say anything because he never really played the game before and didn't want to insult Alfie's gameplay If I say something will he make me move to a different seat, or worse he won't want to be my friend, better ask him before he says anything. "Hey Alfie, is it ok if we can be friends? I can help you out a lot with your game, and in return, you can give me the one thing I've needed a friend." Charlie said looking extremely true.

"Sure! Sounds fun!" Alfie smiled and Clefairy extended his paw out for a high-five. "It's been a while since I had a friend! *sigh* But, of course, after this trip I'll be shipped away again on another "vacation", never to be seen! W-wait, did I say that out loud?" Alfie's cheeks started to burn red as Clefairy shook his head "no" at Charlie. The boy was trying not to worry about it but he knows, deep down that he probably won't talk with Charlie again, since, while he was a student at the school, he'd probably never be there because of the trips. For now, let's just... not worry about that, Alfie thought to himself.

"You go on vacations, that's pretty cool, seeing all kinds of sights, eating exotic foods, discovering new pokemon. That makes me jealous I remember this one time my dad- I mean, why am I rambling on about my life, lets talk about yours." Charlie said awkwardly. And you blew it, here it comes, the I don't want to be your friend anymore sentence, sure he'll make is seem he actually cares about you, but he's gonna break your heart and shatter your dreams just like everyone else. Charlie thought to himself

"Ok, a Metapod. Maybe another time. I don't feel like trading my Kadabra yet, speaking of which..." Brandon replied before looking at the panicking Pokemon. "Oh! I'm sorry, you all must be freezing! I better put you all back in the Pokeballs." He said as he returned all his Pokemon. "Maybe another time Lasis. Anyway, aside from Metapod, what Pokemon do you have?" Brandon asked lightheartedly.

They soon arrived in Snowbelle City where Wulfric, the Ice-Type gym leader was waiting for them. "Alright children, grab your bags and follow Gym Leader Wulfric to the Winding Woods" their teacher says with a jolly smile. Lily returned Stella back to her Pokeball and carefully climbed over Katelyn'sl legs, trying to get off the bus first since her motion sickness was close to ending her life. Nari plopped herself off the bus before jumping back into her trainers arms when she felt the cold snow touch her bare feet. "Oh you poor dear, I forget how much you hate the cold" Lily laughed out before taking out Nari's matching snowcoat and boots. Obviously Nari's Pokemon clothes matched her trainers pink attire, and also designer as well. Even though she was already in a warm set of boots and coat, Nari still refused to leave her trainers arms so naturally Lily carried her chubby Bulbasaur without a complaint. "Once you turn into an Ivysaur you have no choice but to walk Nari" Lily sighs out while following Wulfric on the path that led to the Winding woods. Nari pouted up at her trainer but accepted her fate since she knew Lily was already struggling to carry her as just a Bulbasaur. "Now please behave Nari, you know how hard it is to carry you when you get all fussy."

The bus had stopped and Brandon was ready to leave. He stood up and spoke to Lasis. "Um, we have to go now, I will be waiting for you outside. You can answer my question then." He said politely as he left the bus. He felt the frigid air, but it didn't really bother him. It felt refreshing being out here, in the Snowbelle air. Brandon could see the woods and the mysteries that lay within. Who wonders where I'll go in these woods, or what I'll find... He thought to himself as he followed the others.

Lasis silently assented to Brandon’s comment. She watched him join the trickle of students leaving the bus, as she stopped to stuff Metapod’s ball back in her pocket. When she finally managed to stumble out into Snowbelle city, the cold hit her like a boosted Freeze Shock. Lasis took in the scenery, clasping her hands together to conserve warmth. Despite the unfortunate climate, the city was really quite nice. The frosted pine trees leading up to the snow capped mountains were tantalizingly close. These woods would surely be filled with wild Pokemon, and Lasis was overwrought with having the opportunity to observe them. She released Duosion, figuring that he would also enjoy the scenery. This assumption was sorely incorrect. Duosion immediately began to squeak with displeasure, repeatedly bumping her leg for emphasis.
“Oh, I’m so sorry! I forgot about your little... icing problem,” Lasis apologized.
“You should be fine though. It’ll take ages for you to freeze over”
Due to Duosion’s body being completely encased in a liquid bubble, he had a tendency to become completely immobilized when exposed to extreme cold. This unfortunate discovery had been made when Duosion had taken an Ice Beam head on during a practice battle. Since then, he had developed an almost psychotic fear of ice and subzero temperatures. While Duosion continued to cower by her heels, Lasis began tagging along behind the rest of the class as well as the city’s gym leader.

"All right then, I'll just get off the bus and just get my stuff, you coming F- darn it, I keep forgetting your name, what was it again?" Charlie asked trying not to look forgetful then a spray paint can fell out his backpack. "Ignore that, that's just for a class that I have at school, I go to a different school, I mean bye!" Charlie then ran off the bus.

Brandon felt the cold winter air breeze past him. He was walking up the path to the Winding Woods along with the other students and Wulfric. There were mounds of snow along the path, along with some Ice-type Pokemon. He saw some Cubchoo and a Beartic by a bare tree with no leaves. It was a beautiful sight.

Once Tiberius had exited the bus it was freezing cold in Snowbelle City, And his Golett had just exited it's pokeball, With Skorupi going inside it's own ball. He went to the front of Winding Woods, Not entering, but observing the Pokemon that he could see from the outside. He noticed another person, Maybe observing what he could see from the outside as well. His Golett was a little worried about going in there because of the other stronger Pokemon than it, But it was a field trip, Nothing wrong could happen.

"Oh, it's Alfie. Hey, no judgement on the spray paint!" He walked off of the bus, shivering as he let out his Pokemon. Clefairy and Cottonee had coats of fur and cotton to keep them warm and Vanillish looked like she was having a ball in the cold weather. She quickly found more of her kind and they quickly began to chatter about. They all ran about, but when they approached the woods they came back to him in awe, gazing at the mystical pines and the beautiful snow reflecting off of the branches. "Wow, this place is just... wow."

Suddenly, Brandon looked up. He saw a rainbow arcing above the group. "Wooaahh..." He said in awe of the natural wonder above him. Kadabra went back out, being bored of being in the Pokeball. That when it saw the rainbow and it looked on with surprise. It was beautiful, like a bridge of colors in the sky. Some Snorunt waddled near the path as a Glalie floated past.
