Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS. One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.

Many years later..

Legends say that those who climb the mountains never return.

"Never return? Ha! What fools!"
"Hm? What's this?"
"A pit... wha?!"
"AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!"



"Come on, you guys!"
It is the year 2020. To celebrate the new year, the daring and adventurous Dokotu has brought his friends on an expedition to climb to the top of the mountain.
"Put a bit more backbone into it! Sure we lost the trail a bit, but it's right over here! I'm sure of it!"
...however, they took a wrong turn and got lost on the mountain.

 

[Galaxy Sylveon]

"But Dokotu!!!!" Ben moaned as be followed the boy, stopping now and then to catch his breath. "I'm a bit worried, what happens if we fall?" Ben asked as he TRIED to walk beside Dokotu, but ended up faceplanting. "Owowowowww" Ben mumbled and stood up, rubbing his nose. "Worst decision in life, let the lead person lead, and followers follow...." He mumbled and continued to follow Dokotu, ending up being the last person because of the whole faceplant thing....

 

[OmegaNave]

"He's right, Dokotu." James said, following close behind Dokotu. "What would happen? We could die! Who knows what's down there! We might even die from the fall!"

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

"I know what's down there, James." Dokotu said. "The Underground. And the monsters."
Dead silence followed.
"But what's an adventure without a little excitement, eh? Besides, it's impossible to die from falling through the barrier."

 

[Twilight Nova]

Mikey was fine. The short strawberry blonde boy skipped along in the rear. "Cmon guys! It'll be fun!" He encouraged with a smile. Mikey tended to look on the bright side, and was rather naive. Mikey stopped and went silent when Dokotu mentioned the monsters and the Underground. "Th-the monsters can't be that bad!" He stammered. "Besides, we won't have to figure out if they're mean or not, we won't fall! Team not dead!"

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

Dokotu laughed cheerfully.
"See, Mikey's got the right idea! It'll just be another great adventure!" Dokotu said cheerfully. "Plus, if anything does happen, I brought my trusty sword with me." Saying this, Dokotu tugged at the scabbard hung at his hip.

 

[OmegaNave]

"Well, good for you. I'm not prepared to fight anything." said James "I didn't bring a weapon. I didn't expect that I'd fight anything today! I just thought this was just a normal hike up a mountain!"

 

[Twilight Nova]

Mikey glanced down at his dagger nervously. "W-we won't have to fight anything! W-we'll be fine!" He said uneasily. His skip turned into a jog. Mikey slipped and fell, letting out a squeak of alarm. He quickly got up and brushed himself off, looking up. "Looks like it might just rain."

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

"Rain makes the ground around here looser. Let's finish this hike quickly, then!" Dokotu said, smiling. But as he climbed, he had a weird feeling.
The Barrier? No, it's far beneath us!

 

[OmegaNave]

"Yeah, or maybe we should head down now. Something bad might happen." said James as he walked. "You've heard the legends, Dokotu. 'those who climb the mountain never return'. What if we don't return?"

 

[Galaxy Sylveon]

"Yeah! James is right!" Ben exclaimed as he almost fell again. He glanced down whimpishly before following the others again. "I don't like the feeling in my gut..." Ben mumbled as he glanced down at his Golden Sword. 'Its fine, I'll be able to protect myself, I know how to fight...right?'. Ben shook any negative thoughts away and continued to look down.

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

Before long, they reached the top. And sure enough, it started to rain. The ground began to slightly destabilize.
"The view would be great, except for the rain. See, guys? Nothing dangerous happened. Now let's head back down. Maybe we can come back up when the weather's be-"
Before Dotoku could finish his sentence, the ground below him cracked and split into tiny shards. One second, his shoes were on firm but muddy ground. The next, he was in mid-air. He fell. And fell. And fell...

STORY ARC #1: Divided and United​

Sans was taking a stroll around the outskirts of Snowdin. It was lunch time, and he didn't want to risk Papyrus forcing him to eat his spaghetti. He decided to take a look through the forest, and saw something between some trees.
A human?
*hold on. frisk isn't supposed to be here yet. ...wait, this isn't frisk. who is this guy?
Sans pulled up the data on the unconscious human, checking who they were.
*dokotu?

 

[Twilight Nova]

Mikey screamed loudly as he fell. He couldn't remain conscious and slipped into darkness.

Mikey blinked awake, sitting up and looking around. He grabbed his head in pain as a headache came from the fall and him sitting up so fast, then looked around. He had landed on a bed of golden flowers.

James awoke on a bed of flowers. The room he was in was poorly lit, and looked old. In the distance, he saw a doorway. As he looked around, he noticed Mikey walking around the room. "What just happened?" James asked, even though they clearly had fallen. "Is this that Underground place Dokotu was talking about?"

 

[Galaxy Sylveon]

Ben whirled around and began to decend the mountain, only by a few steps. Soon feeling the muddy ground beneath him disappear, Ben began to panic, as in 'failing your arms around and screaming bloody murder' panic.

Ben hit blue grass at full speed, making a crater. "C-can't...hold....on..." Ben murmured and blacked out.

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

Flowey was warping around.
*They'll be here soon. Frisk is going to fall into the Underground, and then...
Flowey was interrupted by a loud thud.
*What the?! I'd better check this out.
Flowey turned to a corner and turned to look at the flowerbed. Two humans had fallen down. Two...? And neither of them were Frisk?
*What's going on here? Have we shifted onto a new path? Nothing like this has happened before... Well, if fate has changed, maybe I can finally kill a human without Goat Mom interfering.
HEEHEEHAHAHAHAHAHEEHEEHEEHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Sans slowly walked back to his house in Snowdin, Dokotu's body slumped over his shoulder. As he reached the door, he summoned a bone to knock for him.
*hey, papyrus. i need a hand, here.

 

[OmegaNave]

Papyrus slammed the door open.
*SANS! WHERE HAVE YOU BE-
Papyrus just stood there, staring at Sans.
*WAIT... IS THAT... A HUMAN?
*YIPPIE! NOW I'LL FINALLY BE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD!
Papyrus hopped around excitedly.

 

[Galaxy Sylveon]

Undyne was walking around and searching the place. Just then, a huge dust cloud was pushed into her face.

*Woah what's this?

Undyne asked herself as he looked down at the golden sword. She picked it up and looked at the name encrypted in the swords handle.

*Ben? Has another human fallen down here? Oh boy, hopefully Papyrus didn't see..it?

Undyne then finally noticed the crater and walked up to it.

*So, Ben is a boy...ok then, Ben is a boy name

Undyne said as she poked the boy gently with his sword. "Oh well, I better take him home" She aid and slung Ben over her shoulder and walked away without another word.

*Hmm...that was probebly a nasty fall, getting knocked out like that, but I won't!

Ben felt something soft underneath him. "Urg, I thought I fell on grass, not a fluffy pillow" He said and noticed a fish-woman thing playing with his sword. "Um, could you please give that sword back?" He asked and Undyne handed him the sword.

*Hello Ben, I'm Undyne, pretty nasty fall, you even have a broken wrist, so I bandaged it up!

"Thank you, Undyne" Ben said before he blacked out again.

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

Sans sent a small bone into the side of Papyrus' head and it plinked off.
*there's no point in capturing an unconscious human. it poses no challenge. there's no glory in it. doing that wouldn't get you into the royal guard.

 

[OmegaNave]

*WELL... THAT IS TRUE... HOW ABOUT THIS: WE WILL WAIT FOR THE HUMAN TO RECOVER, AND THEN I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL CAPTURE IT! THEN I WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD! ISN'T THAT A GREAT IDEA?

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

*best idea you've had in months.
Sans walked in as Papyrus did his thing.
*hate tricking papyrus like that, but it's the only way he'd allow me to take care of the human. besides, he won't capture this human. he's under my protection.

 

[Twilight Nova]

Mikey rubbed his head. "Woah..... Hey. You fell too? I-ah!" He exclaimed, bragging his leg. He had landed on it. It hurt, and he could walk with a heavy limp. "We better find the others. Hey..... Is that a flower? With a face??"

 

[OmegaNave]

"Yeah. Funny we fell in the same place. Wonder where Dokotu and Ben are." James walked over to Mikey. "Oh yeah, I see it too. A flower with a face. Well, it looks friendly enough. It's smiling! Not even an evil smile! Let's go check it out!"

*SANS! MAYBE WE SHOULD FEED THE HUMAN MY SPAGHETTI! IT'S NOT LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO EAT IT! MAYBE THAT WILL WAKE IT UP QUICKER!

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

Flowey pretended to notice them for the first time.
*Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower! You two are new to the Underground, aint'cha? Well, someone ought to show you how things work around here. I guess little old me will have to do.

*we want to help him, not kill him. i'll pick him up something from grillby's.
Sans said.

 

[Twilight Nova]

Mikey limped over with a big smile. "Thank you! That'd be awesome!" He chuckled. He put his full trust in Flowey. [big misteak Mikey] "What can you teach us about the Unserground?"

 

[Galaxy Sylveon]

Ben woke up again and Undyne was gone. "Where did she go? Oh well, I better stay here" Ben said and sat up. "Pretty boring place" He said and yawned, fiddling with his sword.

Undyne finally reached the skela-bones house.

*Papyrus! Sans! You guys home?

Undyne shook her head and waited.

Papyrus arrived at the door.
*OH, HEY UNDYNE! GUESS WHAT? ME AND SANS JUST FOUND A HUMAN!


James walked up to the flower. "That sounds great, little flower! But what is there to learn?" But then, suddenly, James saw a heart appear in front of Ben and himself.

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

Sans flinched, almost choking on the burger he was eating.
*uh, no, no human here.
Sans said frantically.

*Well, golly gee! That there's your SOUL. Here in the Underground, your SOUL's strength is measured in units of LV. What does LV stand for? Why, LOVE, of course! Here in the Underground, you increase your LOVE through little white friendliness pellets - like these!
Flowey conjured up five "Friendliness Pellets".
*Here, I'll share them with you! Just touch the pellets with your SOUL!

 

[Twilight Nova]

Mikey moved his heart towards the pellets, bumping his heart into them. He let out a cry of alarm as it hurt him. "Ow! H-hey! That hurt!"

 

[Galaxy Sylveon]

Undyne raised her eyebrows

*So that's two humans...I wonder how many more there are, oh right, almost forgot, do you guys have any food that a human might like? you know, like pizza and all that jazz?

Undyne asked and thought about the two humans that was unconscious.

Ben groaned "good grief, when is Undyne coming back? I explored the whole of this waterfall place" Ben said as he walked up the Undyne's house. "Maybe there's more, but I'll wait before I go, I don't know what else there is in this place" He said and sat at the front of the house.

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

*papyrus is mistaken!
Sans frantically said, trying to usher Undyne out of the house.
*he's just been watching too much tv and got confused! no human here!

 

[OmegaNave]

*SANS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? REMEMBER? YOU BROU... I-I MEAN I BROUGHT A HUMAN HOME EARLIER?
Papyrus looked impatient.

"AAGH!" said James as he ran into the pellets. "What's wrong with you, flower? Why would you do that?"

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

*YOU IDIOTS. In this world, it's kill or be killed! Why would ANYONE pass up an opportunity like this?! Now then, time to stop beating around the bush.
Flowey conjured up a ring of bullets around James and Mikey.
*DIE.
HEEHEEHAHAHAHAHAHEEHEEHEEHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Sans pulled over to Papyrus.
*i know that, but if undyne finds out now, she'll probably take all the credit. it's wisest to keep the goods secret for now.

 

[Twilight Nova]

Mikey let out a cry of fear, covering his head with his arms.

Toriel was doing her rounds in the Ruins to see if anyone had fallen down. She heard laughter and followed it, gasping when she saw a flower surrounding two human children with pellets. She summoned a fireball and threw it at the flower.

 

[OmegaNave]

"WOAH!" said James, as he barely escaped death, thanks to Toriel. "Who are you? Thank you, by the way."

*SANS, COME ON! WE CAN TRUST HER!
Papyrus looked even more impatient, even angry now.

 

[Galaxy Sylveon]

*Guys, I just need food that a human can eat, witch is NOT spaghetti, really, I don't care about human and what not!

Ben raised his eyebrows "C'mon now! This isn't fair! Why couldn't I go with! This is so boring!" He exclaimed and fell on his back.

 

[Mechanist Gamma]

Flowey knew the fireball was coming and pretended to get hit before burrowing into the ground and escaping.

 

[Twilight Nova]

Toriel smiled. "What a terrible creature, torturing such innocent youth.....," she murmured. "You are welcome. I am Toriel, caretaker of the Ruins. I pass through here everyday to see if anyone has fallen down. Come, my children, I will guide you back to my house," she explained, offering her hands for them to hold. Mikey took her hand with a slight smile.

 

[OmegaNave]

"Wow! Thank you, Toriel!" James said, relieved to hear that she wouldn't try to kill them like the flower "Do you know who that was? The flower who tried to kill us both? It said it's name was Flowey. Ever heard of him?

 

[Jhan Garc]

A loud scream echoes through the Hotlands...

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA........." *CRASH!*

After following some kids to Mt. Ebott and seeing them fall, Joshua was shocked. He tried to look for help, but alas, he fell too. And from a big height, it seems.

"Augh... That really hurt! I knew something like this would happen, it always does..."

After some mourning, Joshua took the time to look at his surroundings.

"Lava, lava, lava, a lab, ro-WAIT WHAT"

That's right, a laboratory. But who would build a lab in such a place? Hmmm....
