"Firefly, wait!" Royal called as she ran up to Amy. She saw Amy petting her new Houndour, and chirped, "I see you met Firefly!" The Fire/Dark Pokemon rolled her eyes a bit at her somewhat ridiculous name.
"Just caught her," Royal beamed. She picked the puppy-luke Pokemon up and said, "Have you caught anything, Amy?"

Valmont was typing on the computer when he suddenly stopped, his shocked face slowly changing to a wickedly happy one, he quickly started to type and sent an Email to the Admin to come and see him in the lab

Marilynn returned Zoe to her Pokeball. She looked worriedly at Valmont, a little disturbed by the sadistic grin on his face.
Valmont got up from his desk and over to the elevator, he picked up one of the flasks on the table next to it and showed it to Marilynn, "what do you think? A serum that makes low level pokemon as strong and possibly stronger than high level ones" he asked wanting to see the other scientist's opinion on it
"Interesting," the younger scientist muttered. She wasn't entirely sure what Valmont wanted to do with the serum.
Valmont returned the serum to the table and started to think, "well ill get started on my next report now, I was asked to write 8 and a half pages about Egg moves and ill give them 38 pages just to make sure...." he said as he walked over to his desk
Marilynn looked back at her computer and thought, "What the heck am I supposed to do now? I can't get any more info on that little posse, the boss has got to be mad..." The young scientist vocalize her final thought, "What do I do?"
Valmont heard this and smiled, "maybe you can't but I can, already have a plan I'm just waiting for the admin to come so I can suggest it" he said while still typing, Willow bringing him his 118th cup of coffee this week, he takes a sip then pulls out a note pad and scribbles something into it
Marilynn rubbed her temples, and grumbled something inaudible. She then looked up and asked, "Valmont, how many cups of coffee did you have this week? Whenever I'm here, I can practically taste the coffee smell you emit. That can't be healthy."
"I believe this is my 118th cup, I originally started drinking coffee to stay awake and finish my reports and projects faster but now I believe it became a bad habit...." he answered as he stared at the cup, he then took another sip and continued typing

Marilynn gawked at her caffine-addicted coworker. She let Cobalt out of his Pokeball, and whispered some directions in his ear. The Riolu darted forward, grabbed the coffee cup, and rushed back to Marilynn's desk, careful not to spill the hot liquid.

Valmont was surprised by this but didn't mind it, it would help with his addiction after all, "hey Marilynn I hope you don't mind but can you tell me what exactly happened during the mission?" He asked as he finished another page and started a new one
"None of your business. Someone showed up, and my Duosion let the hostage go, but that's all I'll tell you," the brunette grumbled.
Valmont decided not to keep asking about it and continued his work, once he was done he went into the room in the corner and came out with a cage that had a zubat in it, he placed the cage on his desk and filled a syringe with the serum "don't worry, it won't hurt" he said to calm the little pokemon down
Marilynn watched her colleague with a sick curiousity. She placed a shielding hand over Edward's Pokeball, not wanting him to see the Zubat get injected with the strength serum.
Valmont slowly injected the bat pokemon, no physical signs of change where visible, "now for the test" he said as he went over to the elevator and said "you can come and watch if you want" as the elevator doors opened
Marilynn briskly made her way to the elevator, and got in with Valmont. She looked around as the cabin descended, stepping out once the destination was reached.

The 2 entered the grunt training room and headed to the watching room as the zubat was released into the field, "ok now let's see, a level 12 zubat vs my level 43 umbreon" he said as he sent out Lunar to battle the bat pokemon

"Ok Lunar use dark pulse and then try to sneak up behind it for a crunch" Valmont ordered his pokemon through the speaker, the moon pokemon charged up dark energy in its mouth and shot it with great force.
The zubat easily dodged the attack, as Lunar attempted to use crunch the zubat took his chance and used bite which caught Lunar on the ear, back in the watching zone Valmont was shocked when he saw his pokemon's screen showing that 48% of Lunar's health dropped from that attack, "Ok Lunar use moonlight quickly and use psychic!" He ordered but it was too late, the zubat managed 2 more bites and Lunar was down, Valmont was shocked and looked at Marilynn to see how she is taking it

Marilynn's eyes widened considerably. "I guess that means the serum works," she said, not looking away from the Zubat.
Valmont looked at the zubat once more, then sent out Tyrant, the tyrantrum looked at its opponent with a blood lust, "just to make sure ill pit the level 12 Zubat against a level 58 tyrantrum" he said, "Tyrant! Use a crunch and thunder fang combo!" He ordered, the jurassic pokemon's entire jaw sparked with electricity and chomped down on the bat pokemon's wing, it's screen showing that despite its super effectiveness it only caused the pokemon to lose 23% of its health, "um.... use skull bash!" The grey eyed scientist ordered, this time it did a fairly decent amount of damage, the bat pokemon used leech life which drained Tyrant quite the bit, soon the zubat was at 17% while Tyrant was at 8%, luckily Tyrant got a dragon tail off, knocking it out.
Valmont was lost for words but finally managed to say something, "this..... is MARVELLOUS! That was a clear 46 levels difference!"

Marilynn nodded. If that level 12 Zubat could hold its own against a level 58 Tyrantrum, she was a little scared what it could do to her level 59 Zweilous.
Valmont retrieved his pokemon and went to heal, once he came back he had a cup of coffee in his hand, "so once I improve my equipment in the old lab ill be able to make more of the serum, good luck to anyone who thinks that they can beat ream plasma..." he says as he takes a sip
Marilynn nodded again, then rolled her eyes at the cup of coffee in her colleague's hands.
She then muttered, "I somewhat prefer to train my Pokemon by defeating other Pokemon."

Valmont nodded and said "true, the serum gave a huge boost in offence but not much in durability, a few strong hits and the zubat was down" he then added "well you won't see me drinking coffee after this cup because we ran out of coffee, still have a lot of the other beverages but no coffee..."
The scientist muttered, "Good. Too much caffine will kill you."

Potchy padded over and sniffed Firefly. Lady giggled, "Potchy loves being pet right here."
She started to scratch just behind his ears, and the little dark-type melted into a puddle of "oh Arceus yes keep petting me- NO DON'T STOP".
Lady reached over to pet Firefly in the same spot.

The Dark Pokemon's ear started twitching uncontrollably. Royal giggled at her Pokemon's somewhat bewildered expression.

Lady couldn't help but giggle too, especially when Potchy came up and whimpered when he wasn't being pet too.
Tyler slowly came upon the next town, but he stopped. He couldn't walk in there with his team plasma uniform, but he couldn't go into a town stark naked either.

Royal then tried petting under Firefly's chin. The Houndour growled at the gesture, causing Royal to back away a few steps.
