Fin dodged the fireball by bending its body in an unnatural manner, its like its bones were made from rubber. Fin then launched itself into Zack, spinning wildly in the air while preparing another kick with its hidden weapon: a sharp retractable bone blade in its right leg.

Jaw was confused when its prey suddenly vanished, but its confusion turned into anger when suddenly another figure hit its back. It then grabbed the nearest table with its right hand and threw it at the new attacker. Its other hand grabbed an unfortunate customer and threw him as another throwing weapon.

"Tisk Tisk Tisk. Not this time," Zack said, this time prepared for the kick. As super speeds, he ran over to the fish creature, and as soon as it lifted off the ground Zack grabbed it's leg and chucked it towards the bigger fish thing. Meanwhile, Brendan shrunk to avoid the table as it crashed behind him. Though, took the hit from the man, not wanting him to be hurt. He placed the guy carefully behind a counter where he could hide. Then arose to face the giant. Now he was ticked.
Brendan held out his hands like he was holding a big ball, and suddenly an energy that looked like an atom began to form in his hands, growing larger and brighter.
"Take this douchebag," He said, before launching it straight at Jaw.

Maggot Head wasn't letting this one get away maybe if she hadn't swiped his own machete at his face. He teleported in front of the car punching the engine forcing the car to stop, he pulled out the battery and crushed it just for safety measures. He obtained his spear again before slicing all the wheels. The woman may be able to teleport weapons to her, but he would crush her with his bare hands if needed. He then slowly walked up to the drivers seat its much better if there afraid before he was shot in his back causing him to fall to the ground. The shooter was Charlotte. She pulled out her radio. "Hello are you okay lady?" Charlotte said to the person in the car walking up to the drivers window. "Are you alright police are coming soon." Charlotte said before Maggot Head rose up again, lifting up his machete to strike her off guard.

Abyss looked in disbelief when Jaw just devoured Fin. He took note to make the next version better at recognizing allies. Jaw got hit by an energy ball and collapsed.

Overall this battle didn't look too good so he should join and end this quickly. He retract the shadow that was surrounding the building. It's true that his power was a strong one, but with his current state he couldn't muster all his power and thus, the amount of shadow he could control at a time had been greatly limited. That's the reason why he did nothing while the fish duo were pummeled like fools. He could felt someone had just escaped from the back door. Soon polices would flood this place.

"Good performance!" He clasped his hands. "I give you, 5/10 each. I know you both can do better, right? Because if not, you both gonna die!" Ten shadow spears came out from Abyss's cape and launched at the two heroes.

"Thank goodness, police." Erin relaxed herself a bit but then she remember how he got back up after getting chopped in the head. She's right though because the man rose again and ready to strike.

"Chief, watch out!" She shout and instinctively summoned the machete to her hand again to prevent thing from getting messy.

"For the love of,-" Zack said, cutting himself as he saw things in slow motion. Brendan shrunk to the size of a penny, and Zack ran over, picked him up, narrowly squeezing in between two passing spears, and hurled Brendan at Abyss. In mid flight he grew to normal size, now made of a strong metal after touching a knife on the floor. Then swung strongly at the shadow-man's face.
"Eat scrap," He yelled.

Meanwhile, Theo was looking pale... Well, paler than usual, if, that was possible.
"Don't you think they should be back by now? I know Zack went to talk, but usually it doesn't take that long to Brendan feeling better again. I don't know, doesn't seem right," He said with worry in his voice. Noah took off his headphones and looked over at him.
"Hey, it's fine! Even if something happened to them, they'll get out of it," Noah reassured him, though he still didn't look convinced.
"For once, I agree with Noah. Even without any of there armor and weapons, they are very skilled combatants. And again, what are the odds they even got into a fight in the first place?" Clark said, emerging from the lounge couch after about an hour of searching. Theo let out a sigh, looking at his feet.
"I hope your right," He said quietly.

Abyss took the hit and back off a few step. Changing body structure, speed, energy manipulation, pyrokinesis, change body size. He had took note of their power, taking them into calculation and choose an attack that he deemed best to stike them all at once.

"Shadow burst." He whispered to himself. The shadow gathered and swirled around him, creating a vortex with Abyss at the center. With a mental comand, he turned the vortex around him into a powerful wave of shadow that swept all across the room in all direction.

Both of the boys took the hit hard, both slamming into the wall behind them, and sunk down onto the ground. Zack, having already taken the kick into the wall from Fin, layed on the ground motionless, while Brendan got to his feet, the metal skin taking most of the damage.
"Alright. Enough of this. Time to end it," He said, clenching his fists, and focusing all of his power on big objects. Suddenly, Brendan began growing, and growing, until his head hit the ceiling, and he was towering over Abyss.
"Now your finished," He said, cranking back his arm, and swinging with all his might as if he was swatting a fly out of his eyes.

Abyss tried to defend himself from the attack by forming a shield from shadow, but even the shield couldn't protect hin from the sheer force of the blow. He was sent flying and crashed into the bakery's door, breaking it into pieces. Now that he was outside the building, he could clearly heard the gasp of the passerby, and worse, police's sirene. Time to go.

He stood up and extended two shadow limbs inside the bakery. He scooped the unmoving Jaw and walked to his van.

"We will meet again, someday." He said to the gigantic man and entered his van.

"Escape mode." He told the driver.

"Allright, boss." The driver pressed a hidden button and the van launched a sphere into the sky. The sphere exploded, casting a blinding light in all direction. When the light faded, the black van where Abyss and his grunt was in had vanished. Several blocks away though, a white ice cream van speeded through the road, in the back of the van, Abyss stared at Jaw's body. Ideas formed in his mind to make the next batch of his bioengineered super warrior stronger.

Maggot saw as his machete was teleported from him again. 'For the love of-' Maggot Head was thinking before being blasted by a shotgun again. This time Maggot Head was unconscious from blood loss. The police were finally on the scene taking the body back for testing. "Um lady I am required to bring you back to the station for further questioning, your car will be towed to a repair shop." Charlotte said to Erin.

Erin finally could let out a relaxed sigh when the police arrived in the scene. Her mini-cooper was busted and she would be kept in police office for hours. But at least she was alive.

"Yes, thank you officer. Just take me away from that man." Erin said with tired look.

"Well Josh here will escort you in his car to the station alongside with me."She said to Erin looking over at Josh who was leaning on his car. "We best get out of here." Charlotte said getting in the car alongside Josh.

As soon as the figure disappeared with his henchmen, Brendan shrunk to normal size and the metal skin faded. He immediately ran over to Zack who was waking up.
"Dude? Dude! Wake up! Come on! They're gone, are you ok?" He asked worriedly. Zack rubbed his head.
"Yea, yea I'm ok. Who the heck was that anyway? Why do we manage to find trouble before finding the people we are actually here for? Anyway, let's get back to the apartment and fill everyone in," Zack said, recovering quite quickly with him being a speedster and all. Within a few minutes the two had returned to there suite, and collapsed on the sofas. Immediately, they were barraged with questions about where they were and what had happened.
"Long story short, two fish f***ers, and a living shadow ambushed us," Zack explained, placing ice on his forehead, while Brendan clutched his knee.
"Fascinating... I'm intrigued by how there genetics might work... " Clark began to say, before...
"CLARK!!!" Everyone shouted in unison.

After explaining everything, and cracking a few jokes, everything went back to normal, but with Zack and Brendan spending most of their time moaning in pain.
"You could just die. No pain and all that. Plus you could still chat with me, so you wouldn't be lonely," Theo suggested thoughtfully as he passed the two.
"Screw off, Theo," Brendan said clutching his forehead. Theo frowned, giving him a scowl and walking off.
It was quite the opposite occurrence they were expecting to start off the day.

Erin nodded to the police officers and got in the back seat of the car. She left a message for Ilya stating she would come home late. Really, what a mess. She thought while looking at her busted mini-cooper. Then she recalled something,

"Officer! That man has teleportation!" She looked outside at the polices who were taking care of the scene. Afraid of the man suddenly teleported himself here like he did before.

"I assure you he ain't going no where knocked out like that. And after all the people with secret abilities now adays we have test tubes designed to disable people's powers." Charlotte said as they drove off.

"Is it...?" Erin still had some worries but decided to just let the cops take care of that man. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes, the tension had taken its toll and she felt very tired. One minute later and she had entered sleep mode, she dreamt of... of... what is this?

At first it was only a man with cleaved head, then the man vanished and a wolf with one red eye and blonde hair appear, biting her in the neck, she closed her eyes and tried to dull the nonexisting pain. She opened her eyes again and this time she was drowning, no, a dark tentacle dragged her deeper underwater. Toward a gigantic deep sea abomination. She did nothing during this dream, letting all that horrible things happened to her. Until she saw the face of her daughter getting swallowed by darkness. No! Don't touch Ilya!

She start swimming toward the darkness, trying to save her daughter. But when she entered the darkness, she found herself in... her room? There was William standing beside her, she was laying in the bed without able to move. William started touching the wall.

Erin woke up from her chaotic dream, there was no scream or anything that indicated she just had a nightmare, only excess drool. The inside of the car was silent. She wiped her drool and continued her sleep, this time without any disturbing dream.
