In Almia Team Rocket types of groups have never really been an issue.

A new group Team Luna has taken advantage of this little used part of the world to set up their headquarters. They have been slowly gaining power in several regions and have been becoming more a problem. The region struggling the most in their fight has been Almia.

The Rangers haven’t been able to fight them off since Team Luna has never played fair, easily overpowering even the best Rangers partner Pokémon and friend Pokémon with their well-trained teams of Pokémon.

Rangers and Trainers don’t get along very well. Rangers see Trainers as barbaric and cruel. Confining their Pokémon in their prison Pokeballs and forcing them to battle each other for their Trainers entertainment.

Because of these views, the Rangers didn’t want to ask for help. Once Team Luna started catching Pokémon all over Almia to arm their growing ranks of new recruits, the population thinned greatly. Once many residents lost their way of life, which relied on the Pokémon around them, they were forced to move to other areas. With so many residents sending pleas for help to the Rangers, it was soon apparent that they had no other choice but to contact the other regions for help once all their attempts at stopping Team Luna failed.

Head Ranger Lola sent out the request for help to other regions affected by Team Luna, asking them to send their best Trainer (or Two) to represent their region and help the rangers defeat Team Luna at their source and hopefully stop them for good.

Head Ranger Lola did not trust Trainers at all. So she was not going to let them run free over her region. She called her Best Rangers into a meeting and told them about her inviting Trainers here. She explained that they would each be partnered with a Trainer. Needless to say they weren’t thrilled with the idea, but Head Ranger Lola explained that she had brought them in because she trusted them to keep an eye on the visiting trainers. To go with them everywhere and make sure they didn’t do anything other than rescue the caught Pokémon and releasing them back into the areas they belong. And of course defeat Team Luna. They reluctantly agreed that the problem was too great for them to handle on their own.

Hence the Rangers waiting at the docks in the coastal town of Almia where the ship full of Trainers was due to dock any minute. They were watching for the ship, quietly talking to each other about their concerns over the Trainers. They knew that this was their last hope for stopping the destruction that Team Luna had wrought and putting everything back to rights.

Post for Alexis

Alexis paced nervously along the railing of the S.S. Midnight, the ship had been sent all over to collect trainers and was now within sight of the shores of Almia. Alexis had been the first trainer picked up by the Beautiful ship and had spent the next few weeks making friends with all the trainers on board, sharing stories about their adventures and trading gossip about the Rangers they were sent to help. Hence the reason for her nervous pacing. Everyone on board had the same general consensus about them, they didn’t like trainers, didn’t trust them or even want them on their land. She had to remind herself that this time had to be different, they had asked the trainers for help, and maybe they would get a chance to see that they were not so different after all.

As Alexis spun on her heel to start back down the long railing again she stopped quickly at the reflective window to once more check her reflection, she wanted to make a good impression. She smoothed her hands over the long sleeves of her shirt and her black pants checking everything was in place. She turned her feet to check her knee high boots were laced correctly and her pants were tucked into them. She fluffed her hair a little using her fingers to smooth some wayward curls into place, which was hard considering how long her hair was. Finally she examined her nails, newly done this morning they sparkled purple and made her grin. Doing her nails on the ship had been a challenge, normally they had to be done in an open space away from anything flammable. One of her friends specialized in beauty products, and had made her a special clear top coat for her nails as a birthday present last year. They were extremely resistant to chipping and damage. Her manicures lasted well over a month, and her friend had only told her that she had to dry it with very hot air. What her friend had not told her was how hot, and it was why she usually had to do her nails outside. She ended up using her Arcanine for some flame assistance, practically burning her hands in the process, but the superheated air near the flames did the trick and dried her nails. This Morning Alexis had to direct the flame over the side of the ship, with her Lapras nearby to control it should anything go wrong. Luckily nothing had happened except a bunch of inquiries over what she was doing from any trainer who had seen her. Once she was satisfied with her appearance she took back to her pacing.

She finally had to stop and grip the rail and watch the land grow larger on the horizon, tightening her grip to keep her from pacing again. It was pretty early in the morning and we were set to dock in an Hour or so, she was too nervous to relax and was already packed her backpack sitting on her shoulders and the pouch holding her Pokeballs sitting on her hip. She was excited to be helping and fight off Team Luna which had started causing problems back in Johto and Kanto. She just hoped this first meeting went well, she had no idea what they would face, but she knew they would have to work as a team.

Lin paced back and forth on the dock like some wild animal and gave a ferociousness glare at anyone but one of her fellow rangers that came close. She gave an audible growl and once again checked the quiver on her back. Her brown hair flowed in the sea breeze bouncing off her shoulders as she paced. Her thoughts raced and mirrored the scowl on her face, this was the dumbest idea she had ever heard. We don't have enough bad guys on our door steps so lets just invite some more. She wondered to herself how many arrows she would be putting into trainers when they showed their true colors. Her attitude was made all the worse for being forced to wait in a city. She hated cities, so crowded and noisy and full of careless people.

She stopped pacing and smacked her fist into her hand loud enough to make several nearby people jump and then hurry away from the scary young woman. "Arghh just what the hell was Lola thinking when she asked for this. Zed never would have been so stupid." With that outcry she went back to pacing looking for all the world like a lion behind a cage bars.

Arrow for his part was in agreeance with his partner and was also pacing right behind her. As he walked he sharpened his arm blades against each other making a sound like two swords clashing in battle. The pair were unnerving as hell to say the least. Arrow was not thrilled with more humans hurting his friends in the forest.

Lin stopped and looked at her Sceptile. "Hey arrow what do you say that if the stupid boat doesn't get here soon we leave this man made monstrosity and go hunting for some Team Luna goons. Arrow stopped and smiled at her with a very toothy grin of enjoyment at the idea.

Entari saw, with distress, the barely caged fury that was Lin pacing on the dock. If I don't do something people are going to think she is dangerous. She walked slowly over to the beautiful, young ranger. "Lin, come have a burger with me, what do you say?" She asked as she hoped the distraction of cooked meat might slow the ranger's raging boredom a bit. She understood how Lin felt. She never really liked cities either, but it was important that this mission work. So Entari would do all she could to ensure that it did.

Fin had felt a rush of emotions when he had been picked up from Hoenn and told about what was happening in more detail. He was obviously worried, scared and cautious since it was a pretty awful team that was unfair and evil however Fin was also excited, he was heading to a region he had never been to before and he and his Pokemon would be like heroes so overall he was happy and pumped but slightly worried and cautious.

Despite all these thoughts and emotions they were all overshadowed by how tired he had been and so the previous evening he had skipped breakfast and fell asleep in his room. Now Fin's a heavy sleeper and not alot can wake him up however his most trusted companion, Sparky the Pachirisu knew how to get him up in seconds and so the trainer was awoken with a shock, mentally and physically.

After the light thunderbolt Fin had gotten ready in a rush, brushing his shoulder length wavy hair, getting dressed, packing his bag and donning his fedora, the hat resting on his head while his Pachirisu rested on his shoulder, sitting on top of the bag strap. Currently he was running to the front of the ship, one hand holding the bag strap whilst the other was pushing his hat down so it didn't fly off and eventually after a long dash he'd reach the rails where Alexis was, bending over slightly and gasping for air. The electric squirrel however would spot the land and grin happily, bouncing up and down on his human friends shoulder as it happily exclaimed ["Pachi pachi!"] Fin, who was still getting his breath back would walk forwards, putting a hand on the rail to support himself as he continued to take deep breaths. "Yeah, yeah gimmie a sec Sparky"

The waves of the sea went back and forth in front of her eyes, raising above the sand and covering her bare feet with salty water. Marina liked the sea. She liked how it's waves came running to her as if begging to be hugged, she liked the way it smelled and how it sang a song about armony. She liked the way she received anyone in it's blue arms. She liked how it would always apreciate her company. She liked knowing she was important for such a massive thing.

Allegra, her smiling Happiny, was running from one side to another almost becoming a Pachirisu in Marina's mind. She was amused trying to chase after Wingulls. "Hap! Hap! Hap!" She repeated once and once again in her sharp shrieks as she jumped to reach the Pokemon that had already flown away from her. Both of them were only trying to kill time and, maybe, anxiety. All Almia was nervous. Everyone was talking about who were going to arrive that afternoon. Lots of people were angry at Lola for taking such a decision, others were just worried about what they could do to the region. Marina didn't blame them. Catching Pokemon inside a ball... wasn't that just cruel? What kind of person would have thought something like that? Pokemon were wonderful creatures that were born to fly above the clouds, swim in the depths of the ocean or just run through the fields in complete freedom. But trainers kept them like keychains in a pocket, waiting for them to be useful. Pokemon were always useful. They served as friends, company, as support. But how could someone who saved them in a ball understand that?

Marina looked at Allegra, happily playing through the bay. She pictured her inside a ball and...

A shiver ran down her back. She would never do that.

Marina stood up, picking her dirty shoes from the sand as she walked through the beach until reaching the port. Another ranger was next to her, Linn, as she could remember. Or was it Lynn? Or with just one 'n'? Oh, she didn't remember.

Without any topic to talk about, Marina just remained silence, picturing what kind of people would come out of that boat. As Marina had seen, the most of the ones coming were pretty young, about her age. They probably just wanted to have contact with Pokemon like she did. They wanted to feel the soft hair of a Wigglytuf or to see the gleam in Pikachu's eyes. Maybe they felt as marveled by Pokemon as they did. But then... why to treat them like that? There were other ways! Or... or could it be that they didn't know other way?

Marina still felt some rejection towards the trainers, but she forced herself not to judge them before their arrival. Awful pictures of them were apoearing on her head, but she shut her eyes closes and started repeating to herself 'It's not true, It's not true, It's not true...'.

A sudden weight lied on her leg, distracting her from her self-conviction procedure. She opened her eyes to find a Happiny tightly hugging her leg, almost desperatedly. Allegra shrieked, like complaining 'Oh, of course, I left her alone...' Marina took the pokemon in her arms. As she turned to the Linn-or-something girl that had suddenly started growling.

"Arghh just what the hell was Lola thinking when she asked for this. Zed never would have been so stupid."

People, somewhat scared, started walking away. It came with such an anger that, for Marina, sounded like a word explotion. She then turned to her Pokemon, a quite intimidating Sceptile.

"Hey arrow what do you say that if the stupid boat doesn't get here soon we leave this man made monstrosity and go hunting for some Team Luna goons."

She started getting nervous, maybe she had to talk to her but...

Oh! Come on! It was okay. She looked like a nice girl. A little bit angry, but nice anyways! She was a nice girl too, nothing bad could happen. She just had to sound like she trusted herself. Right?

"Don't get so angry!" Marina exclaimed, talking louder than necesary just to convince herself she wasn't nervous "Lola asked us to stay here and... well... that's what we should do. You know, she's the boss. So what if we wait together huh... Leen?"

Hopefully, she wouldn't notice she was nervous.

Alexis was lost in thought as she watched the land grow closer until someone crashed into the railing next to her, she jumped a little turning to see Fin. She should have known it was him! Alexis Grinned and turned leaning against the railing now facing Fin. "Hey Fin! And Hello to you too Sparky!" She said with a giggle running her fingers over his Pachirisu's Head lightly. Alexis had met them on Day four of the long almost 3 weeks journey to gather trainers on this ship. Sparky was very sweet and she always made sure to say hi to him. Alexis glanced at the land that now almost completely filled the horizon line then turned back to Fin.

“Can you believe in less than an hour that we will stepping foot in Almia? We are going to be the first trainers to ever visit…I just hope this first meeting goes well, I want to help them fight off Team Luna, but I don’t know what kind of reception we are going to get. None of us can seem to agree on anything except the fact that Rangers apparently hate Trainers.” She crinkled her nose a little at the thought of being hated by someone who had never even met her.

* Hearing voice Fin would straighten back up and put on a smile seeing it was Alexis, lifting a hand to push his fedora back down feeling that it had became slightly loose from the top of his head* "Hey- hi, hello- sorry" While Fin had went for the awkward polite hello Sparky had went more for the happy hello, lifting his head into the fingers and then nimbly hopping onto Alexis' shoulders, running behind her and around to the other shoulder and the hopping back to Fin, the Squirrel's furry tail brushing gently on her shoulders*

*Giving Sparky a slight chin rub he would he look to Alexis and then walk next to her to look at the approaching horizon, still listening to her and then replying with a sigh as he nodded* "Yeah they really do, it kind of sucks when your being judged and they haven't met you ... But I don't think they personally hate us they just hate all Trainer's due to what they are and not who they are. That made sense right?"

Alexis Giggled as his pokemon ran a lap using both of us as the track. She nodded along with his sentiment. “It makes perfect sense, I just hate that that’s how things stand. I’m hoping to use this adventure to Fight off Team Luna to show the Rangers that we are not so different from them, we love Pokemon, we help people…” She trailed off and looked at the approaching land again, feeling the anxiety crawling through her, the need to pace was starting to grow once more, She huffed a sigh, “I just don’t know what to expect.” She looked around the ship deck and started to wonder how all the other trainers were preparing for the first meeting with the Rangers.

On the ship, Keith felt the breeze rush by, and he saw beautiful waves consealed in the water. He saw some familliar faces. Keith suddenly became sea sick, and went on the edge of the boat. His eyes turned green and became dizzy.

Keith tried to stay calm but he couldn't. But he started to become better as time passed. Keith went back to feeling normal. Keith wondered if he would be safe. Keith sighed, he probably will get sea sick again. Then he saw some people on board, since he was busy with being sick to even notice one person on board.

*Resting back on Fin's shoulder Sparky would gently wrap its tail around Fin's neck, not to strangle his Trainer but to support himself so he didn't fall off. Besides, Fin trusted his friends hold wouldn't get to tight and it kind of acted like scarf. Listening to Alexis' worries and noticing her beginning to pace Fin would figure out that she was pretty anxious in a matter of seconds, his arms folding as he leant forwards on the rail and looked towards the land that was getting closer and closer* "Expect the unexpected ... Although if you expecting it then it won't be unexpected- that saying makes no sense" Sighing slightly and facepalming he would shake his head and then quickly reply again* "Expect hostility because then if they're nice it would be a sweet surprise" After his response he flashed a grin and then pause, hearing the sound of regurgitating and cringing slightly before looking around with a raised eyebrow, trying to spot the poor sod that he felt quite sorry for* "Well someone's not enjoying ride ... But at least they're feeding the water types" (Get it? Because its usually feeding the fishes? Terrible joke I'm sorry)

Alexis tilted her head a little at the thought of expecting the worst, “Well that would be nice, but I’m trying to be optimistic here, and trust that because they need our help, that they will be at least cordial…”

Alexis heard another Trainer hit the railing behind her and she looked to see Keith once more looking sick. She felt bad for him, stuck on this ship and prone to sea sickness. She had seen him in the Infirmary often getting medicine to keep the sickness from being too crippling. Luckily we were docking in less than an hour and he would feel better on dry land. Alexis couldn’t help but chuckle at the corny joke. “Yea I’m so thankful I don’t get sea sick, I love the water and traveling by boat. It would be terrible if I got sick every time I stepped foot on a boat.” She said quietly, Tapping her nails against the railing in a nervous habit that would keep her from pacing.

"The water is great but I prefer travelling by flight than boat, which is kind of funny coming from a person from Hoenn" Glancing back to Alexis he would smile before looking ahead again, trying to see if he could spot any figures on the shore of rangers. Fin had actually only met a few Rangers and he had received mixed results from them, some were kind, some were quite mean but overall he hadn't formed a solid opinion on rangers as a whole, maybe this trip could help him with that. Sparky, quite bored would unwrap his tail from around Fin's head and hop onto his head, pushing the fedora down and covering Fin's eyes, causing the trainer to let out a surprised sound as he jump back in shock and then sighed, pushing the hat back up with a roll of eyes. "You know you call him sweet but he's quite mischievous"

Alexis grinned, "I enjoy flying too, my Dragonite and I enjoy exploring by flying to unreachable by any other means spots. It's how I found my favorite spot to relax, read and enjoy the view. Its a grassy ledge on a small mountain near my home, you can see the entire city spread out before you when you face one way and then the other way is nothing but nature. Its beautiful…” She stated wistfully as she thought of home.

Alexis clapped her hand over her mouth to keep from giggling too hard as his hat fell into his face. She grinned after dropping her hand, “Well Sparky is sweet, but true to many Pokemon they have a mischievous streak to them.” She reached into the pouch on her hip and withdrew one of her custom Pokeballs. An Artist friend had made them as a gift from Alexis’s sketches, and She bought more from her when needed, though they took ages to make. The bottom half was black with silver swirly glittery designs on it and the top half was Purple with the same type of designs, Alexis’s name was in silver script along the white strip running through the middle of the ball. That way it looked like part of the design, until you looked up close.

She enlarged the Pokeball and released her Pikachu, “Alright Pikachu why don’t you and Sparky keep each other company for a bit.” She said quietly, Her Pikachu looked at her then at Sparky, [Pika, Pika!] then ran a few steps down the deck, then stared back at Sparky like, ‘Hello you coming or what?’ Alexis grinned, Her Pokemon were like her, super friendly and got along with everyone, but fierce when necessary.

Lin looked over at Entari as the Raven haired woman approached her. At the mention of a burger however her scowl returned. "Why would I want to eat overcooked, processed meat, taken from animals that were slaughtered in a pen. You didn't hunt it yourself, no respects were paid to it, and it's unhealthy to boot. come on Entari you know better." She looked around and then out to sea as if at the approaching ship. "It is no wonder people treat pokemon like that, they are lazy, entitled, and arrogant. They think they are superior to pokemon and are used to having everything handed to them in a nice neat little wrapper or much worse a damn ball." She clenched her fist tight enough for a single drop of blood to appear, "if I ever get my hands on the man that invented those stupid little balls...." The threat was left unfinished but the intent was quite clear.

""Don't get so angry!"Lola asked us to stay here and... well... that's what we should do. You know, she's the boss. So what if we wait together huh... Leen?"" Lin turned toward the curly haired girl who murdered her name. Her fierce green eyes alighted on the seventeen year old. The girl was new to being a ranger and Lin tried to recall her name. "Marina.., right." She nodded to herself pretty sure she had gotten it right. "Don't tell me you think this is a good idea, your body language clearly says otherwise. She are nervous, unsure and," she sniffed the air, "you smell of fear." She nodded her head to the nervous looking Happiny. "You need to control yourself better, your partner is feeding off of your emotional state and is clearly agitated. Her scowl softened to a warm smile as she looked at Allegra, "it's ok your partner is just a little nervous, that's all. Nothing bad is going to happen to you Arrow and I will not let it." She winked at the happiny and the Sceptile nodded in agreement. Then she turned back to Marina, "don't let the trainers see your fear, if we have to meet them then let it be as proud rangers whom they need to respect." She flashed her teeth in a predatory grin, "if anyone needs to feel fear let it be the trainers. Then they will think twice before trying to catch any of our friends in their stupid little balls because they will know we are watching and that we do not approve."

Watch the ocean, move with the ocean. That was today’s mantra that nested comfortably in the back of Diana’s mind. Her eyes were closed as she held her hands above her head and danced at the very end of the dock. She moved her hips, swaying them seemingly in tune with the tempo of the ocean.

Next to her was her Arbok, Charlene, who was making her own fluid motions in perfect synchronicity with her trainer. It mostly consisted of her swaying her head from side to side while her body writhed in rhythm.

Being near the ocean was such a treat. Everything was so quiet, and the water looked so calm. It moved in a way that appealed to her a great deal, and she just had to express it through her dancing. Taking a deep breath, she felt like she was embracing the gentle breeze as it blew against her long dark hair.

That was, until she heard yelling coming from the other rangers on the dock. Diana and Charlene turned to look at the rangers at the same time. The two loudest seemed to be Lin and Marina. Of course it was. Despite their chatter interrupting her calm dancing it wasn’t enough to truly irritate her. She simply smiled and shook her head before facing the ocean again and continuing her dance.

Entari sighed a heavy sounding sigh. "Lin, we talked about this. I know you don't want to work with the trainers. I know you don't trust them. But, we have to try to convince them to not use their pokeballs while they are here. That means we have to be diplomatic and polite. We can't just beat it into them. We need their help. While, I know you don't want it, We need it. Can you keep that in mind?"

Entari loved Lin but the girl was as wild as a rabid pokemon sometimes. That didn't bother Entari but it scared the hell out of other people. She thought of Lin as her best friend. She had no idea how Lin saw her. Entari found her self more often then not defending Lin from the other rangers. Truth be told, it pissed her off. Lin was one of the best rangers she had ever worked with. Sure she was gruff, she had reason to be. Growing up the way she had was hard. Entari grew up in the wilderness but not like Lin had. She had had loving parents and a safe home. Lin literally grew up in the wilderness. Lin hated cities and most people truth be told. Entari wasn't entirely sure that Lin didn't think of her as a pokemon alot of the time.

Entari sighed again hoping that she had gotten through to Lin.

*Having his hat back to his usually place he would roll his eyes slightly at the Pachirisu who would giggle in delight, finding it quite funny. Glancing to Alexis and seeing the strange Pokeball he would question it mentally and remind himself to ask about it later, a smile appearing on his face as he saw the Pikachu*

*Meanwhile Sparky tilted his head to the side, wondering what was in the Pokemon before seeing it was another Pokemon from the Chu family and so excitedly Sparky hopped down off Fin's shoulder and bounded after the mouse on all fours* ["Pachi pachi!"]

Alexis' small speech about her favourite spot had not been unheard and Fin would fold his arms slightly while perking a brow "Where do you come from again? Sorry It's slipped my mind for a second but it's Kanto right?"

Marina fastly felt left behind as a bit of a discusion started between Lyn and Entari, a Ranger she had previously seen in the headquarters everynow and then. She was the only one in that place that could remain calm even with the situation they were in and Marina couldn't help feeling some envy towards her. She would've liked to keep herself cool but... it seemed impossible. Her head had become a storm of scenarios that could take place when the trainers arrived. The most optimistic ones had her teaching them about how PokeBalls weren't a good option for Pokemon, the worse... she prefered not talk about them.

Lyinn turned to her after finishing her discusion with Entari, her powerful eyes focused in her like daggers, or at least, that's how she felt. Marina had the sensation of being such a weak position...

"Marina.., right." she nodded nervously, still trying to keep a friendly smile on her face, even though she was quite sure her self-trusting attitude had already been broken, replazed by a nervous girl who didn't know what was going to happen with the world in an hour "Don't tell me you think this is a good idea, your body language clearly says otherwise. She are nervous, unsure and," her nose rose a bit, moving slightly as she tried to search for something in the breeze "you smell of fear.".

Smell? That caught her by surprise. She fastly took a small piece of her hair. It smelled like coconut, her favourite shampoo. Did coconut smell like fear?

She took a glance at her Happiny, who held her tight in a hug "You need to control yourself better, your partner is feeding off of your emotional state and is clearly agitated." that fell as a rock in her stomach. Allegra was having a bad time and it all was her fault. Nothing bad was going to happen to her so, why to scare her? Liyn's voice softened as she approached the Happiny "it's ok your partner is just a little nervous, that's all. Nothing bad is going to happen to you Arrow and I will not let it."

"Piny..." Allegra muttered, hidding her face in Marina's arms.

"don't let the trainers see your fear, if we have to meet them then let it be as proud rangers whom they need to respect." she told her, a bit of a rebelious grin coming from her mouth "if anyone needs to feel fear let it be the trainers. Then they will thinktwice before trying to catch any of our friends in their stupid little balls because they will know we are watching and that we do not approve."

The girl spoke wisely. She appearently knew a lot about what she was talking. Marina, on the other hand, had no idea of what to do. A couple of days ago, she was healing an Eevee from a small battle it had with a Mightyena. Now she was waiting for cruel Pokemon hunters to arrive her precious Almia under her care.

"Almia is our sanctuary." she said with a solemn expresion in her face as her eyes focused on the horizon. The ship approaching the land in the edge were sky and sea became one "It's the place where we learned to take care of Pokemon, were we saw with our own eyes their free spirit. I love Almia and all the pokemon living in it, and I don't want to see them as someone else's key chains." she explained, hoping for the idea of her words to reach the two rangers beside her and, maybe, the Trainers "But I don't want to see them with Team Luna either, and if the Trainers are the price we have to pay, I'll take the deal. I'm wishing for them to be like us and that they are... just in an awful mistake. We can teach them better ways, I just think there's a chance for us."

She turned back to the other two "Oh, god, I should really stop babbling like this!" said Marina as Allegra looked at her confusedly "We are going to beat Team Luna, we have to. And if Trainers are only making it worse we can always get them back to the boat and carry them far far away."

Those last words were more to redeem herself, to try to cover the fact that she had talked more than she should've had to.

Lin turned back to Entari and cocked her head and then dead serious she said, "why can't we.?" She shrugged, "it's really not a hard concept, if a trainer throws one of their little balls at one of our friends we beat the ever loving shiftry out of them. Then they are not likely to do it again, unless they want another beating. So unless they like beatings then the behavior will stop."

Then Lin turned back to Marina once more and stared at her hard for a moment before finally smiling in a friendly manner, "Well said." She turned back toward the ocean, "just don't forget the part about sending them packing if they don't want to learn." She growled softly, "I still think this is a bad plan. Zed never would have gone for this, Lola has become too desperate and she will bring an even greater curse to this Island."

Arrow looked at the little Happiny and grinned toothily, trying to reassure her and hopefully not scaring her worse. He then turned his head out to the sea and nodded at his partners words crossing his arms over his chest with the blades facing out, as he waited.

Delta sat on Thinder and stroked his mane. The shiny Luxray strode over to the group of trainers. Delta grinned at Fin and Sparky, Alexis and Pikachu and of course poor Keith." Hey guys. We're nearly there!" He exclaimed with a childish fist pump, which was true. Delta was the youngest out of every trainer and sometimes his childish behaviour got out of hand. Like the time he nearly short-circuited the entire boat training with Thunder.

The ocean breeze whipped his blue hair across his deep brown eyes, almost like a model shot in a TV advert. He flicked his hair out of his eyes and jumped down from Thunder. Aqua gurgled up at Delta as the Walrein swam through the water beside the boat." Are we nearly there yet?" He sang and giggled. Inferno and Ember were practicing their fighting styles and Screech was soaring through the sky, trying to break the sound barrier. Delta cursed as Teal the over-protective mother-figure Swadloon slapped him on the back of the head with a vine." What was that for? That was a bit Farfetch'd." He giggled at his joke and brushed the back of his head.

Alexis smiled fondly at her Pikachu as the new friends scampered off to who knows where. “Don’t get into any trouble and come back in half an hour!” She called after the quickly disappearing duo. They were not docking for more than half an hour but she wanted to have everything set for getting off the boat, she wanted all the trainers to walk off the boat as a group and show a united front in case anything from the first meeting went sideways. She shook her head a little with a small grin as she looked at Fin once more, “Johto actually, Goldenrod City, well just outside of it.” She said with a grin.

Alexis watched the young trainer approach on one of his Pokemon and couldn’t help but grin at his antics and the responses from his Pokemon. She grinned at him, “We are, should be less than an hour now! We are meeting at the other end of this Deck in 45 minutes to get off the boat as a group, Don’t forget!” She said with a chuckle, she hoped everyone knew where to meet, it would be easiest.

*Watched Sparky and her Pikachu run off with a small smile, his head turning towards the direction of the voice and raising an eyebrow as he saw Delta on a shiny Luxray. Fin would mostly stay silent for the interaction between the two before chiming in at the end. "Also remember that the Rangers will be ... Judgemental so best behavior I suppose"

Delta glanced over at Alexis and Fin." I'll be a good boy I promise." He teased and jumped down from Thunder." The Rangers think we're bad people? Why? Just because we catch Pokemon and have them by our sides? Pokemon our my friends, and yet the Rangers think I'm a bad person aswell? I'm so confused. I'd never treat my friends bad. So why would they treat me like I'm a bad person?" He frowned and walked towards Screech, Inferno and Ember." Guys get down here now please." He called and all his Pokemon jumped towards him, even Aqua jumped out of the water. Being surrounded by his Pokemon Delta looked like a dwarf from that TV show Red Dwebble.

Alexis glanced at Fin with a knowing look as Delta clearly implied how silly it seemed to be hated for just being different, something Fin her had just been talking about. She had to grin though at Delta and his Pokemon, they clearly loved each other like a Family, Something all great trainers shared. Alexis loved her Pokemon like family, they had been with her for most of her life, especially her Arcanine, whom She’d had since she was very young.

Alexis turned back to Delta, “I know, it sounds crazy when you think about it. But the Rangers have never had any real interactions with trainers, I don’t think they really hate us, they just don’t understand us, that’s all. I hope we can use this time together to show them we are not so different from them.” She leaned back against the railing with a sigh, hoping that things would work out the way she wished.

*Glanced to Alexis with a similar look, listening to Delta and his extremely good point, shrugging in response and folding his arms* "They don't hate you specifically, just Trainers as a whole and I agree its just ... Stupid kinda"

*Turning to look at Alexis he would lean back on the railing, humming and then glancing back towards the island* "Hopefully they're very understanding"

Alexis also looked back towards the Island which now filled the horizon line as they drew ever closer to it. She didn’t know if the dock was on this side of the Island and they would be able to see the dock before they got there or if they would reach the Island and then have to travel around it to reach the dock. She was unsure which she would prefer, being able to see all the Rangers waiting for them before getting there, or being hidden until the last second. Alexis nodded at Fin’s Sentiment, “It is for sure…I am hoping that they are polite, even if they are not warm about it, because we are here to help, not make things worse…”

Keith felt a bit better, as he tried to resist the sickness. Accelgor came out and calmed Keith down. Keith Saw his Zoroark was playing with Accelgor, it was a nice sight for Keith. Keith didnt feel sea sick anymore. Keith got some homework out from his pocket.
"I guess i'll have to wait for the boat to land" he sighed. After, Keith fed his pokemon.

"In Hoenn team Luna weren't that strong, the police force and other rangers were able to take care of it before I could even dabble in the matter" *Placing his hands on the rails he would sigh slightly then look back towards the entrance to the lower decks, having already packed everything in a rucksack for when they had to leave the ship although now that he thought about what was the Island going to be like. Everyone had been so focused on the rangers no one had thought what the island would be like, what facilities it would have, what Pokémon it would have. He doubted they would be allowed to catch anything*

*Meanwhile Sparky would've have lead Alexis' Pikachu to the bow of the ship, pointing to the long metal pole with a grin as he hopped up onto the railing on then onto the began walking down the pole, balancing carefully on it with a massive grin*

Diana sighed as she came to realize that she would never reach a complete silence in this setting, what with the other rangers debating about what would happen once the trainers arrived. After completing her soothing dance, she turned and began to sashay over to the others.

“You are all far too worried. Simply clear your minds and embrace the presence of these foreign people. If they intended us harm, then they wouldn’t have agreed to help us with our plight.” Diana placed her hands together and closed her eyes as she continued to speak. “Marina is right. These trainers are merely children who have been misled to believe that their way is the right way. The only way. We cannot fault them for they may not have been exposed to true coexistence between pokemon and human.” Diana reached a hand out to the side and gently caressed her Arbok’s cheek. It returned the affection by nuzzling into her hand.

Diana turned her attention to Marina and smiled. “You are very well spoken, my dear. Don’t fault yourself for that. You managed to steal the words right out of my mouth. It is very possible that you and I have synchronized our thoughts.” A slight excitement appeared in her eyes, “you and I should dance together some time. I know I must have asked you this before, but the offer still stands.”

"Lin, we want their help, if we start hitting them they aren't very likely to help us. Besides the sooner we're done with this mission the sooner they are out of our forests Entari said turning as Diana began speaking. While Entari agreed with the woman's words there was something about her demeanor that made Entari's skin crawl. "I wish they'd hurry up, I have better things to be doing, like anything other than standing on this dock!" She growled in annoyance.

Keith took a death stare at everyone, but rarely anyone noticed, which was a good sign for him. Keith got out a picture of his parents. He valued it very much, it was the only thing that would remind him. Keith knew he wouldn't see them again, but in his dreams and memories. Keith felt a shiver up his spine, he was getting a bit colder than usual. "I guess this is my punishment for not going with them" he quietly said. in the past his parents went on a family trip, but Keith did not come. "Maybe I should have gone with them, but im still going to the same place though" he said softly. Keith saw that his pokemon were having fun, "Maybe I should just relax" he said again softly

You are all far too worried. Simply clear your minds and embrace the presence of these foreign people. If they intended us harm, then they wouldn’t have agreed to help us with our plight.” Marina turned to who had just spoken to discover Diana, appearently the most calm in that situation. “Marina is right. These trainers are merely children who have been misled to believe that their way is the right way. The only way. We cannot fault them for they may not have been exposed to true coexistence between pokemon and human.” a subconcious smile grew on her lips, a sensation of relief growing in her chest as the young Ranger let her knew that what she had said wasn't completely wrong. At least she wasn't the only one to keep such a crazy hope.

Diana turned to her and smiled. “You are very well spoken, my dear. Don’t fault yourself for that. You managed to steal the words right out of my mouth. It is very possible that you and I have synchronized our thoughts.

Now Marina was confused. Synchrony? Wasn't that something just Psychic Pokemon could do? She serioulsy doubted Diana was psychic, she would have heard about it. But the idea that had already sank in her head and she couldn't help but feeling... observed, as if Diana was reading every single one of her thoughts.

you and I should dance together some time. I know I must have asked you this before, but the offer still stands.” she asked with excitement gleming in her eyes.

And now she could remember that conversation. Yes, it was when she was about to enter the trainers, she met Diana by casuality and she had asked her something like that. It was sort of cool to feel free to ask people to share a hobby like that, the only problem was that when it came to dancing, Marina had two left feet. "Oh, well, thank you, but I don't dance! I have, huh... bad experiences with that."

Meanwhile, Allegra was trying to interpretate Lin's partner's grin. It had been a confusing gesture and the Happiny didn't really know what to think about it, but he looked friendly enough to spend sometime with hom and she wanted time to go faster. Marina always said time flew when you had fun, so why not to search a bit of that?

She fastly slid down her trainer's body and clumsily ran towards the Sceptile, jumping to his tail and letting it swing in the sea breeeze.

Entari giggled watching Arrow and the Happiny. She knew this would relieve tensions a little to see pokemon playing a bit. She wished she could help Lin relax. This was hard enough without seeing her friend so enraged and on edge. In the wood she knew things would be easier. The trainers would be dependent on the rangers to know the terrain and they would need their pokemon at all times. Entari knew that meant no pokeballs. That would set Lin at ease some, she hoped. As for the trainers she hoped they were friendly. These rangers were certainly not going to be welcoming. She would do her best to be polite and warm. Neither of those things were really her strong suit. She despised people almost as much as Lin. She just handled them better. As she watched them she felt her spirits lift. The sight of the two pokemon reminded her, This is how they are meant to live. Not cramped up in some dumb ball, even if they want to battle. She hoped one day the league and the world would change their views. Today was not that day. Today was the fight to save Almia from team Luna. Today she would see eye to eye to them. Even if it killed her.

Alexis just nodded at what Fin said and as she went to reply everything was drowned out by an announcement that the ship would be docking in less than ten minutes. Alexis turned back to the railing and suddenly the entirety of her vision was filled with a beautiful Island. All she could see was green and a smattering of color to break it up. As she grinned and was going to say something, the anxiety set in as she realized they had less than ten minutes to present a united front. Her eyes widened a bit and she turned toward the trainer on the deck with them. “Hey Keith gather your Pokemon back into their homes and be at over there in 5 minutes!” She said as pointed to where some crew members were gathered now to prepare the ramp which they would walk on and to help the ship dock.

She then turned towards that same spot and taking a light hold on Fin’s arm she tugged a little to silently be like ‘Come on let’s go’ because her voice was lost to the anxiety and almost panicky feeling that was choking her. She took a couple steps towards where they had to meet as she dropped Fin’s arm so she could keep moving. Just at that moment her Pikachu returned with Fin’s Pokemon trailing after. Alexis opened her arms and her Pikachu jumped into them. Alexis hugged her Pikachu to her, who in turn rubbed against her cheek. The simple comfort helped calm her, and a few seconds later when she held out the Pikachu’s enlarged Pokeball she felt better. Her Pikachu touched her nose to the Pokeball which opened to let her inside. Alexis put it back into the little pouch holding all her Pokemon and continued to the other end of the ship. Worries floated through her head as she gripped the railing next to where they were going to dock. As the boat came around the bend she could see a coastal town and the dock where they had to meet the Rangers. Alexis glanced behind her quickly assessing that everyone was here, when she didn’t see anyone missing she evened out her breathing and let herself feel the excitement of the moment rather than the anxiety. The excitement made her grin and she had to temper it a little so it looked friendly not crazy. This was it in five minutes the boat would touch down and then it would be up to her to start the impression the Rangers would have. She had to take a deep breath to calm herself further, “Alrighty, its show time.” She said almost to herself.

(OOC: Sorry it took so long ♥ I will officially dock the ship once the trainers have a chance to gather by the ramp in their posts, I would have docked the ship too but I want to give everyone a chance to react to the Ship being within sight of the dock! )

*Has kind of drifted off into thought however was snapped back into reality when his arm was grabbed, getting a quick glimpse of the Island up close before he trailed after Nemo towards the exit. He didn't have his suitcase with at the moment and so reaching for his hip he would click open a Pokeball and out would come a Politoed, a huge smile on its face before it looked to Fin and raised an eyebrow, an anime sweat dropping down its head slightly as it tried to piece together what was happening* "Get the suitcase please" Fin would say to Hop who would nod with a smile and then quickly waddle down the deck and towards Fin's room while he made his way to the ramp*

*Arriving there Fin would take a deep breath and look to the approaching shore in concentration, that being broken when his Pachirisu Sparky climbed up his leg and torso then rested on his shoulder. With a smile the electric squirrel would rub its cheek against Fin's who would laugh and then glance to Alexis, noticing her tight grip on the rails. He was about to comfort her before a confident and excited look grew on her face which made him a bit more prepared as well. Whatever was going to happen wouldn't be that bad right?*

Delta squealed with delight and bounced around Alexis and Fin like a hyperactive kid desperate to stretch his legs from a long journey, although that was exactly what he was." How much longer? I'm so excited. I want to see Pueltown and Vientown and every other place. I'll make sure to be good though." He grimaced at the thought of the Rangers being scary 10ft tall monsters who had loads of scary Pokemon. He shuddered at the thought and began to bounce around again, Thunder huffing in sync with Teal at the childish behaviour.

'Delta, son of Johto champion, celebrity son and son of ex Sinnoh champion and Sinnoh Pokemon professor.' He had imagined the excitement of not being recognised and judged by anyone. But that expectation fell short after he had found out he was hated." Damn it ill show them im not bad. If I was I sure wouldn't be here trying to save them." He spat and Teal shook her head in disapproval of his actions whilst Inferno admired him for his beliefs and knew he had the ability and love to carry them with pride.

Alexis took a deep breath as she quietly studied the gathered Rangers on the Dock. As the boat drew closer she released the railing and stepped back to let the workers prepare for docking. Once they were done the ramp stretched before her and the Rangers were before her, and the rest of the trainers at her back. She took a deep breath and set one foot on the ramp leading down to the docks, the first step seemed so hard but once she took one her feet knew what to do and they carried her down the ramp, more footsteps followed her as the trainers copied her movements. She set foot on the docks and approached the gathered group of Rangers. Alexis smiled at the group hoping to appear friendly.

“Hey everyone. We are all here to help so what’s next?” She said as cheerfully as possible figuring introductions could be done later. She had a feeling they would have to meet the Head Ranger before anything was done, she was the one who had invited them to meet with her and help. She never left the Ranger HQ so that was where they would be going next. Alexis had gone over this introduction with the rest of the trainers, she just hoped they remembered not to overwhelm the rangers on the first meeting, they should just stay together, not wander off on their own and stay with the Rangers while they were here, it was safest that way and they were guests and it was polite to stay with their hosts. They could not afford to offend anyone while they were here, this was a first for the trainers and the rangers, a chance for everyone to get to know each other and form a bond, and they could not afford to damage that chance.

*As the Trainers began to group together by the ramp he would stay to the back of the crowd, arms folded as he looked down the deck and waiting for his Politoed which eventually would appear, hopping down the deck with haste and carrying two suitcases in his hand. Smiling Fin would nod in thanks to the Pokémon and pat its head before taking out a Pokeball and returning it* "Thanks Hop" *With all his possessions in his possession he would turn around to face the ramp, hearing Alexis greet the rangers which caused him to smile slightly*

Allegra happily played with Arrows tail, the Pokemon still without showing any signs of being mad at this so, for the moment, it seemed okay. Marina could hear her partner laughing as a childish smirk took over her lips. With such a scene in front of her eyes, how could anything go wrong?

But the sound of metal hitting against the dork proved her wrong. The Happiny stopped smiling, no longer finding entretainment in the Sceptile tail. Only strangers, looking at them from the ship, carrying so many Pokemon it was unmoral. "Haah-ha-" she worriedly say, running back to her trainer as she clutched to her leg "Pinny..."

Marina dared to look at them, right after taking her Pokemon between her arms. She needed to feel her Pokemon support right in that moment.

One of the trainers took the lead, getting off the ship and stepping onto the dock with a friendly smile. She looked friendly, nice and not like someone who dedicated to make Pokemon fight each other just for fun. This whole thing could just have been a mistake, maybe they were decent people and all she had heard about them were just ru...

No, they weren't.

She was about to greet the trainers, just waving her hand to break the ice that their differences had built. Just to be friendly with those that had come to help them. But she didn't do it. She couldn't when her whole body had froze in disgust from what she had just seen. She felt horrified. It was there, she had seen it with her own eyes, how the innocent Politoed had just dissapeared in a flash of red, absorbed, evaporated; the soul of the poor Pokemon now encapsulated in a PokeBall. It was even worse than she had imagined.

“Hey everyone. We are all here to help so what’s next?” asked the friendly looking Trainer as if nothing had happened.

But she just ignored the question. They would never be able to help Almia if they couldn't protect their Pokemon from themselves "Why did you do that?" she asked horryfied to the Politoed guy, sentencing like this her first words to a Trainer.

Alexis’s eyes landed on the closest Ranger to her as she greeted them, only to see the most horror filled expression on her face, Alexis looked over her shoulder, expecting to see someone hurt or falling off the boat or something, all she saw were the trainers coming off the boat, having missed Fin putting his Pokemon back in the ball. She looked back at the Ranger in time to hear her statement directed at Fin. Alexis’s face scrunched up in confusion for a moment before she smoothed it over quickly with a bright smile. She tilted her head a little and said warmly with concern. “Are you alright?” The Ranger still looked frozen with horror written all over her face. Alexis could feel the anxiety building in the pit of her stomach, her inner thoughts swirled, ‘oh no, what went wrong already? We literally just got her and already something is wrong! Oh no…how do I fix this? Ok Calm now Alexis, deep inner breath, once we meet the Head Ranger hopefully everything will smooth over…’ All this inner monologue ran through her head as she looked over her shoulder and asked if Marina was all right. By the time her inner monologue had finished and Alexis had asked her question the rest of the trainers were gathered at her back, following her lead thankfully. She had the most experience here with 16 badges and 2 Elite Four wins under belt, and had kind of fallen into the leadership role. If everything went wrong she would feel responsible and like she had failed as the ambassador of the trainers.
