The Dark Titan fell to his knees. The shadowy amalgamation of darkness was seemingly melting, severely wounded. The dark figure with the large black cloak stepped forwards. Raising his cane-sword, he slashed, cutting the Titan in half. The man stepped forwards as the shadows vanished and a single grey amulet with a dark symbol clattered to the ground. The man grabbed the amulet, squeezing it in his hands.
"At last."
"After the first reported incident one week ago, reports of strange black and purple portals appearing all around the world have been gaining more and more interest from both the national police and the public alike. Professor Kukui, the Pokemon Move expert, has stated that these vortexes are unlike any Pokemon move previously seen." The reporter on the TV screen said. "Pokemon Professors are dazzled by this news, and professional investigators have yet to determine the cause of this strange phenomenon. For the time being, the official Pokemon community has chosen to call these Gates. When asked by the press whether these Gates could be related to the missing persons cases that began at the same time as the first portal appeared, former head of the International Police's UB Task Force Anabel stated that "there is no proven connection between these events, but the possibility does exist". There has, however, been a national warning to stay away from these Gates if you see one. The investigation continues. In other news, Team Skull has-"
Sun Kamon turned off the TV, the broadcast he tuned in to watch over. He was very interested in these Gates, to say the least. A knock came from his door right as he was sitting back in his desk. Getting up again, he opened the door. His Pokemon pal, Repide the Lycanroc, came barging in.
"Hey, boy!" Sun said, crouching down to shower his adorable pupper with love. The dog licked him as thanks. Repide began to pull on Sun's sleeve, wanting him to go somewhere. "Alright, gimme a sec!" Sun said, walking back to his desk. He closed up his notebook, putting it in his backpack, and put his pencil behind his ear before slinging his bag over his shoulders and following his dog. Repide brought him over to the fridge in the kitchen. "Of course. Lunchtime. Good boy." Before getting food for himself, Sun took some Poke Beans out of the jar on the kitchen counter and dropped them into Repide's bowl. The trainer then pulled some ham, mustard and bread out of the fridge. A few minutes later, he had made himself a sandwich. By the time he was finished eating it, Repide was already scratching at the door. "Alright, alright! You're so high energy today!" Sun said. He grabbed Repide's Pokeball and opened the door. He jogged out, Repide going beside him. He was going to take Repide all the way around Route 1 and back. Waving to the Kahuna and the townspeople who said "hey", Sun went down to the Route.
Sun and Repide were about halfway through their jog when Sun heard a strange noise. "Repide, hold up." His well-trained Pokemon stopped as he did. The noise sounded like a strange humming sound. And it was coming from...
Right below them?
Suddenly, purple light crackled in a circle around Sun and Repide before a Gate opened up right beneath their feet.
"HOLY CR-" Sun said, before he and Repide fell through the Gate.
Sun, falling through the portal, saw that he was now standing on nothing.
In fact, he was falling through the air. From really, REALLY high up.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"
*SPLOOOOOOOSH*
"For the last time, Estellise!" a Gallade said to his sister with a commanding voice. "You CAN'T be around the Tower!"
"And why not?!" a Gardevoir, Estellise, responded, a bit angry. "You're the guardian, Flynn! I get that! But you're also my brother! Why shouldn't I be allowed to go there for a bit?!"
"Because a) you wouldn't be able to get in, and b) even if you somehow did get in you're NOT READY for the Trials! You're not the Chosen of the Wind!" Flynn said.
"I just want to go see what it's like!"
"Well, you can't!"
"Give me one reason!"
"I just gave you two!"
"Well, give me another!"
A Ralts was sitting in the background, twiddling his thumbs. "Guys, can you please stop fighting...?"
"NO!" "NO!"
"O-okay, then... I'll just be over here..."
Estellise and Flynn were about to keep fighting, when something strange happened. A massive splash was heard just off the coast. The two looked, seeing a massive spire of water rise into the air before crashing back down.
"W-what was that?!" Estellise said, unsure of what just happened.
"I don't know, but I'm going to find out!" Flynn dashed off.
"Wait for me!" Estellise said, running off after him.
"...I'll stay here..." the Ralts said.
Estellise arrived at the beach, practically out of breath. "Flynn... You're... Way... Too... Fast... Whew..."
"W-what's this?!" Flynn said, surprised. He had arrived a bit earlier with much more stamina then Estellise, and saw it first. As soon as the Gardevoir had recovered, she looked at what Flynn had spotted.
"What the...? What is that?" she asked herself, spying the unconscious human on the edge of the beach. Near him was a Rockruff, a bag and a trillby hat. While Flynn and a Granbull were pulling the Rockruff out of the water (being a Rock type, it was more dangerous to him, so they had to get him first), Estellise walked over to the boy. Picking up the hat, she looked it over before going over and grabbing the boy. Throwing him over her shoulder (despite her being pretty frail) Estellise began to take him back to Breeze Valley. Flynn and the Granbull followed with Repide, as an Azumarill grabbed the boy's bag.
Sun gasped awake, sitting up suddenly. "Wha- Whe- How- Why-" Sun glanced around, extremely confused. Last he remembered, he had been falling from the sky, and hit the ocean. Then everything had gone black... until he had woken up here. He saw Repide sleeping beside the bed. "You're alright. Good. But... who could have-"
"Ah, you're awake." Estellise said, entering the room.
