So, the Kalos Chronicles are exactly what they sound; an adventure around the Kalos region filled with fun, friendships and lots of excitement. Basically, we'll be running through the story of the games, although with a few more surprising events along the way. I'd been thinking about doing this for a while now, but Irl I'd always been pretty busy. However, my schedule has freed up recently meaning I'm going to be able to run this fun RP.
We'd be starting in Vaniville town, going through the region as trainers, performers or whatever class you affiliate with while battling the gyms, other performers or your own personal demons (Spoopy!). Below is a character template that I'd like you to complete if you'd be interested in taking part; get accepted, and as soon as that happens you're free to start roleplaying. Appearance:
Lucien doesn't stand very tall, nor is he very muscly, so isn't very imposing in the slightest; he's someone who is generally smaller than most, meaning that in crowds he's not seen all too much. Still, thats part of the reason why he wears the clothes he does. When not performing, Lucien still likes to try and be seen, and so wears things that do that; he can often be seen wearing colourful button-up shirts of various colours, and depending on the weather he'll wear shorts or pants. He likes to wear hiking boots too, mostly because it helps him walk on all of the varied road surfaces Kalos has to offer. When performing, Lucien doesn't really go all-out and wears a simple pressed suit that has a tailcoat on the top to make him look even more suave. He may sometimes bring different accessories like flowers or jewellery with him on-stage, but doesn't usually deviate from the suit he has.
Personality:
Generally, Lucien is pretty stuck-up, although this is as a result of the lavish lifestyle he's had. He's not one to look down on others openly, but does think he's got a bit more money than the usual explorer he meets out on the road. If you can look past this part of his personality though, its clear that Lucien cares a lot for people and pokemon. If someone that he is close to is in-need, he'll try and help however he can, whether that's by buying them something or giving them a show to try and help fix their broken spirit. On-stage, Lucien has a big presence; he really likes to show off, maybe because he has to in order to win, and will go as far as he can to make sure he's noticed. This is perhaps something that affects him off-stage too, since he enjoys being the centre of attention.
Backstory:
Lucien was born and raised in Lumiose city - the largest city in Kalos. Thanks to the amazing life his mother led as a renown pokemon performer, he grew up with quite a lot of money and help, always having what he wanted when he wanted it. Well, that is, apart from a pokemon. As a kid, Lucien's parents believed he was never ready to have a parter of his own and as a result they had never let him catch anything, even in his late teens. They wanted to know he would treat it right and make sure he would know how to develop great routines for contests, and they had never thought he would be able to do that from ages 1-17. By the time he was 16, he became frustrated with not being able to own a pokemon, and decided he'd had enough. He campaigned for two years for his own pokemon, and it was only on his 18th birthday that he was given something of his own. A...Chingling.
However, with his new pokemon came something else...freedom. Lucien's parents had decided that he go away on his own adventure, taking part in his own contests with his own pokemon. He agreed pretty quickly, considering Pokemon School had finished for him, and only a week after his birthday he was dropped off in Vaniville town to start his journey just like every other trainer. There was a lifetime of adventure ahead of him, as well as a few surprises along the way, and now all he had to do was get started, but that was easier said than done...

Just for reference, how do you want to do battles/gym challenges? I'm comfortable with both RP and pokesho, but I don't currently have plans for Matthew to catch any pokemon until, like, Route 7. Elekid would be enough for Santalune (with some training and plenty of status healers ">.>), but if him not catching stuff conflicts with anything please let me know and I'll be happy to have him pick up something!
