Shuzo
As he continued through the maintenance facilities, Shuzo's senses were alerted to an echoing rumble as the ground began to shake. Regaining his footing after a brief moment of surprise, he then noticed fissures erupting along the walls of the tunnels as the shaking grew louder, and he instinctively drew his blades in preparation for whatever happened next.
....Unfortunately, nothing he could do would ever prepare him even a little bit for what happened next.
Piercing through the din of quaking earth and falling chunks of rock was a resounding crack, as the rest of the tunnel before him was torn off the ground. The smaller resultant fissures snaked toward Shuzo, forcing him to back away, but as he watched the other side of the tear begin to lift off, it became clearer to the Paragon exactly what was going on.
The chunk of earth had already gained several feet of altitude, steadily climbing higher and higher, as Shuzo felt the ground beneath him following suit. The ninja sheathed his swords and took a deep breath to compose himself before heading deeper into the flying facility. However, just as he surged forward into a sprint, a sudden gust of wind slammed into his back, knocking him back onto the ground. With a curse muttered under his breath as he stood to his feet after a rather nasty fall and several rolls, Shuzo narrowed his eyes as a familiar figure stood before him.
"You again? I thought Li shoved a pipe through you last time we spoke. How's your neck?"
Only brandishing his daisho, Shuzo unsheathed the sword and pointed it at the wind user, electricity crackling around both body and blade.
"Better hope it's healed by now, 'cause it's about to get a lot worse."
Edmund
As the next few scenes unfolded, Edmund whistled in fascination, a smirk pulling at his corners. However, despite his visible captivation with Scath's ability, it only took but a cursory glance at his arms to notice what was happening.
"C'mon, boss; I think they're a little interesting~ Sucks that ours are just better."
Rather than sharp, curved blades, the Handyman now sported a long chain sprouting from both arms, equipped with a lasso end and tough as steel. With a sudden dash forward, Edmund lashed out and whipped the chains around the necks of two other fairies, bringing his arms together to slam the fae into each other. The chains then retracted back into Edmund's flesh, and the mercenary immediately swapped weapons, now brandishing large spiked maces as he smiled with mock warmth at his targets.
"This could be so much easier and cleaner if y'all just kindly cooperated; shame it has to get a little messy now."
