That was simple enough. Weaken a pokemon, throw a ball at it, hope it works. Some pokeballs have different benefits when used.

Adelynn nodded, and raised a hand. "Don't status effects such as sleep also help?" She asks, remembering some ramblings from her uncle in the past. She hasn't exactly done it, mind you...she was given both of her pokemon. With that, the girl smiled, and walked forward. "I'll try it next!" She stated, reaching into her coat to pull out two sleek black pokeballs, lined with a single red stripe on the upper half, and a golden band to separate both halves. One had a heart seal placed neatly on top, while the other had a star.

"Return to the pokeball, Peri. I'll bring you out for lunch." She said, tapping the button against her sweet Eevee's head, and sending it into it's luxury ball.

Putting it back into her coat, she held the other in front of her. "Go, Ori!" She said, throwing it as hard as she could into the tall grass. With a flash of star-shaped light sparkles flying around, and the pokeball returning to her hand, what was left behind was a small, peppy Riolu with a scar over one eye, and a simple silver necklace. "Ririooo!" It cried, holding up a paw. As if it was challenging the world, another cry could be heard.

"bidoo!" it cried, as it jumped out of the tall grass. A plump, tiny pokemon with a plump body. Quickly, a chime of the pokedex was heard as Adelynn used it to scan Bidoof. A mechanical voice began to speak-

"A comparison revealed that Bidoof's front teeth grow at the same rate as Rattata's. It gnaws on logs to trim it's own teeth, and lives beside bodies of water."

following the trivia were several statistics on the screen of the pokedex, such as height, weight, footprint, and more.

"Alright! Ori, we need to go easy on it. Use ice pu-" "RIOOOO" BAM!! A single jump, and a cry of battle were let loose as Ori landed a High Jump Kick dead onto the bidoof. . . A critical hit, super effective. The poor thing didn't have a chance. The bidoof went flying into a nearby tree, as its eyes were replaced by cartoony swirls.

"Ori! Nooo..." Adelynn lamented as the tiny Riolu cheered in victory, dancing around the knocked out Bidoof. "Now I feel bad....can we bring this poor thing back to the pokemon center?" She asked, walking towards it.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu saw how much the Riolu damaged the Bidoof, “Yeah we should get it to a pole centre as quick as we can, Riolu has really badly damaged it. Adelynn go take it, I’ve got some Pokemon to catch.” He said realising after it made him sound like a heartless moron.

Ryu then proceeded to walk a bit away from the rest of the group to have a look at what he could catch. He saw many bidoofs and starlys. He was aware that the first gym would be a rock type gym. He would have no way of beating it with just Chimchar, being a fire type. He needed something like a water or frighting type to be able to beat that gym.

"Im going to go on alone me and piplup cant wait to start our journey so bye guys!" James exclaimed. He started to walk away to catch some pokèmon he saw Starly, Bidoof and a weird looking tail it looked like an eevee tail but he didnt think it could be because its skin was rough. It was like it had been abandoned! James went to see this pokèmon , it turns out it was an eevee. He realised he didnt get given pokèballs yet but realised his mum put some pokèballs in his bag! He went up to the eevee "Are u okay?" He whispered. "Ee." The eevee replied. James grabbed the ball out of his bag then suddenly the eevee tapped the ball with her paw. Clearly the eevee wanted to be his friend! "ALRIGHT I CAUGHT AN EEVEE!" James Shouted. He let eevee out of her ball. "PIP!" Piplup said excitedly. "What do you guys say we get a starly!" Exclaimed James. The both jumped in agreement so He grabbed another pokèball from his bag "Piplup Use Tackle!" Ordered James. The piplup jumped off the tree and tackled the starly to the ground. "POKÈBALL GO!" He shouted. 1....2.....3 "Another catch!" James was so excited he has three pokèmon friends already!

Ryu saw James run off saying he was gonna go alone, “So much for being my travel buddy,” Ryu thought to himself before running towards Phoenix. “Hey Phoenix do you mind giving me some Poke balls so I can go catch a Pokemon, I know the first gym leader specialises in rock type Pokemon so I’ll need other Pokemon other than Chimchar to compete with him at all.”

James realised he had just ditched Ryu so he went back over there with all 3 pokèmon with him ready to show them off. "Sorry i really wanted to catch my new pokèmon! Ryu meet eevee and starly!" Exclaimed James. James was really proud of himself for catching these pokemon.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu looked surprisedly at James, “So your already starting to get your team going huh,” he then mumbled under his breath, “I want an Eevee.” He then looked back up, “It’s no worry though, I’ll catch an Eevee one of these days and trust me it’ll be twice as strong as your Eevee James!” He exclaimed clenching his fist in determination.

"Of course you can have the pokeballs now. I was going to give you them after the catch of the caterpie, but your friend ran off before I could do so." Opening his well organized bag, and pulled out three pouches. He had asked the professor not to get any pokeballs for the new trainers, because he wanted to do something a bit special for them. "Now I have done something a bit different for you guys. I have decided to give you guys 5 regular pokeballs, 2 premier balls, 3 friendship balls, five heal balls, and two fast balls. What the differnt balls do are on a booklet inside the pouch, now before I let you guys go, I want to give you a booklet on how to care for your pokemon." With that he pulled out three booklets to give to the three new trainers.

 

[Trojinta]

This was a bit awkward.... "uhm. I'm sorry, but Professor Rowan probably didn't expect me. He already gave me some pokeballs, so....here." Adelynn insisted as she picked up the poor Bidoof, and returned Ori to his pokeball. She accepted the pouch with a smile, giving Pheonix the small handful of pokeballs she had received earlier, and walked towards the pokemon center to drop of the bidoof.

Upon arriving, she simply gave the pokemon to their care, and mentioned that it was wild. When given confirmation that the bidoof would be in good hands, she left the building and began to run back to the others. Maybe...maybe she wouldn't be able to catch any pokemon just yet. Not until Ori would listen, and Periwinkle got over not wanting to get dirty.

Ryu looked at the different types of poke balls, “Wow! I didn’t know there was that many types of poke balls, cool!” Ryu looked across to Chimchar and then made him return to his Poke ball. “Anyways I’ll be off now, you guys are free to come with me, but you’ll have to catch up.” He said as he laughed and ran in the direction of Jubilife city.

While Ryu ran Croagunk watched as he then proceeded to follow the trainer, while hidden in the trees.

As the girl came back, Phoenix went to talk to her. "I do not mind if you keep the pokeballs that the professor gave you, i had more prepared incase more showed up then he thought would. Do not worry about it. I have quite a few pokeballs in my bag anyways." Phoenix smiled as he held out the pokeballs to the girl. He also yelled out to Ryu as he ran off. "If you want to take a break in Jubilife City then you can check out my apartment there."

After that he turned back to the girl and spoke to her. "If you would like I can show you and your eevee the other eevlutions at my apartment if you would like. All I have to do is call my grandma and she will send them over."

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu ran after James, “Hey James wait up will ya!” Ryu said as he caught up to him. “Since me and you have known each other for so long I want you to be my companion on this journey. So you can’t just leave like that.” He told James as he then stopped. “You know the way to Oreburgh city right?”

Croagunk carried on following Ryu as he lurked in the trees. The reason why he is following the two trainers is unknown.

"Yeah of course!" James said.
"What are we waiting for!" He shouted.
James returned Starly, Piplup and Eevee for them to get some rest. He then started walking in the direction of Oreburgh City.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu stopped to look ahead of him, “We’ll have to pass through Jubilife city first though, I mean it’s pretty nice there so it’s not a bad stop. We can get something to eat if you want.” Ryu said realising how hungry he was. As he ran further he had reached Jubilife city, “Come on James Jubilife is right here let’s go get something to eat!”

"Mhmmm Lets get some food!" Said a hungry james as he ran to the resteraunt. Wait we need to feed our pokemon to!! James was excited to have his first meal with his pokèmon even though it sounds stupid.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu released Chimchar from his Poke ball. He then went to the counter to get some food. “Can I please some rice balls, and whatever Pokemon food you have so I can feed my Chimchar.” After ordering he went to sit down with Chimchar.

Croagunk waited outside, trying to stay hidden from the people in the restaurant.

Ryu noticed him however, “Hey it’s a Croagunk, you don’t usually see these round here.” Ryu pulled a great ball out of his pocket, “I’m gonna catch it, wait here Chimchar.” Ryu ran outside to try and catch the Croagunk, but it had vanished. Ryu gave a confused look before returning to his seat.

"Hey can i have some fries and some pokemon food for my 3 pokemon!" James exclaimed. He went to go sit next to Ryu and realesed Eevee, Piplup and Starly from there pokeballs to eat there food. "Why did u go outside for a second?" James asked while eating some fries.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu heard James ask why he went outside, “It’s because I saw this Croagunk outside and then it just vanished as soon as I went to capture it, I really wanted it as well.” Ryu carries on eating his rice balls as Chimchar started eating his Pokemon food by the side of him. “Do you think we should meet up with Phoenix again after we finish eating, he seems like he could be a lot of help while we’re on our journey. That Jim guy pretty cool as well.”

"Yeah we cant just ditch them really can we?" Said James as he ate his fries more then suddenly he noticed his eevee wasnt eating like the other two. "Come on eevee. Fill yourself up!" He excalimed. Eevee started eating once James put her on his lap. "Okay so do you want to go now?" He asked as he returned his pokèmon.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu stood up and left his money for his food at the counter. “Yeah, let’s go!” Ryu ran out the restaurant with Chimchar, “I’m pretty sure I heard Phoenix say he was going to his apartment with Adelynn, it’s in Jubilife I think but I have no idea where it is.” Chimchar climbed onto his shoulder as he still ate his food and Ryu looked around to see if he could see Phoenix any where.

Jim was thinking about traveling with them. But he wanted to see something else first. "You're pretty nice helping them and all. Not many trainers do that," Jim said. He then looked at Phoenix with curiosity. "Well lets see here, two trainers with Pokemon...how about a Pokemon battle?" Jim asked. He wanted to see how much skills this guy actually had. If he impressed him enough, maybe he would tag along.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu shouted over to James, “I say we should go back to to where we left em come on.” Ryu ran, exiting Jubilife city and making his way back to Phoenix and the others.

After a while of running he was back at where they left the others and he saw Jim proposing a Pokemon battle to Phoenix. “Hey are you guys having a Pokemon battle!?” Ryu asked with a mixture of curiosity and excitement. “Y’know Jim you should really battle me, even though I’m a new trainer I bet I could go head to head with you!”

Jim laughed heartily at the young boys response. He actually wanted to battle him? Ryu was out of Jim's league, and he should know that too. But, hey, ya win some, ya lose some, and Jim was gonna win some. "Alright, you've got yourself a battle. Just don't give up when I beat you," Jim said with a grin.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu grinned confidently, “Who the hell do you think, do I look like the type of guy to give up like that.” He exclaimed before chuckling. “You ready Chimchar?” Ryu asked as Chimchar nodded with determination. “Ok then, Chimchar I choose you!” He exclaimed as Chimchar jumped off of his shoulder and onto the ground. “Chim-Chimcharrr!” Ryu was very confident in Chimchar, “Ok then Jim let’s see your Pokemon.”

 

[JayBird Joe]

Jim grinned, and took out one of his great balls. He clicked the button and watched as it grew in size in his hand. "Alright then, here we go Krokorok!" Jim exclaimed as he threw the Pokeball. The great all opened, and then, Jim's Pokemon appeared. The Crocodile Pokemon roared, and smirked at the Chimchar. "Throw em' off gaurd from the start! Earthquake!"
Krokorock grinned and smashed the ground with his fist, causing the ground to crack open, and the cracks grew fast towards Chimchar. "Ground type moves are super effective against fire mate! I'd try to dodge this if I were you!"

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu looked in astonishment at Krokorok, he had never seen or heard of one before, it definitely wasn’t native to Sinnoh. It was commanded to use earthquake. “Crap! What am I gonna do!?” He thought to himself as the ground started to shake. “Chimchar get onto that tree and then use ember.” Chimchar climbed up onto the tree swiftly and then sent embers in Krokorok’s direction.

 

[JayBird Joe]

Jim foresaw this move of escape, and ordered Krokorok to use a super effective rock throw in that exact direction. Krokorok took the ember attack, but it didn't do much because of the type effectiveness. Jim grinned. "And That should be game," he said.

 

[Trojinta]

Adelynn eventually returned to the rest of the group, no pokemon currently out of their pokeball. A fight was ensuing between one of the boys who has just started their journey, and 'Jim', the guy who showed up right outside of route 203. And they were battling...

The first pokemon that caught the girl's eye was the krokorok, a popular pokemon in the 'punk' circles over in Unova. With a beep, her pokedex began scanning.

"Krokorok, the desert croc pokemon.

They move in groups of a few individuals. A female is often the leader of the group, and the males will gather food. They have a protective membrane over their eyes that protects them from sandstorms."

And again, a screen of various info popped to life. Then, the camera was aimed at the small monkey.

"Chimchar, the chimp pokemon.

It agilely scales sheer cliffs to live atop craggy mountains. Its fire is put out when it sleeps."

Adelynn closed the pokedex and placed it in her coat, watching with intent as the battle unfolded. Obviously, she believed the korkorok had the advantage due to its offensive advantage. But you never know...

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu knew this would be the end of the battle, the rocks were going towards Chimchar quick. They hit and Chimchar was knocked down. “Chimchar!” Ryu rushed to his Pokemon’s aid as he reached inside his bag. “I’m lucky mom packed these.” He said as he held a potion in his hand. He sprayed the potion as Chimchar was healed. He smiled and returned Chimchar to his Poke ball. “Jim that Krokorok of your’s is pretty strong, but trust me next time we’ll battle I’ll beat ya with ease.” Ryu then started to walk off, “Anyways I’m gonna be off to challenge the first gym, anybody coming with?”

"Yeah come on!" Exclaimed James. James was exstatic for his first gym battle. He knew he had Piplup who would work well against the geodude and the gym so surely he could sweep the gym first try, but you never know.

 

[Jayblade]

“Alright I guess that means me and James here will be off going to challenge the very first gym, so we’ll see you guys around some time.” Ryu then ran back in the direction of Jubilife City.

Croagunk had now completely lost James and Ryu. However while being in the outskirts of Jubilife he noticed some men in very odd uniform and weird hairstyles. It looked like they had the letter ‘G’ on their costumes. It could only mean one thing. Croagunk ran over to try find the two new trainers.

 

[Merciless Medic]

Quietly, a young boy stalked a group of young trainers from behind. He had been exploring much of the beginning part of this region with his partner, Shinx, until he caught wind of these guys on Route 201. From learning how to catch to fighting, he watched as the Krokorok fought the Chimchar. A Ground/Dark-Type against a Fire-Type? That sounded dangerous. He kept following the group through Route 202 until Jubilife, where there was nowhere else to hide now. In a bit though, he heard a Magikarp and a Voltorb were nearby from his parents. They should be west of Jubilife City, but now he has to get past the people he was following.

Following James and Ryu, he and his Shinx followed and waved towards them, his bubbly personality taking full charge. "Hey, guys, what's up? I saw your guys' battle and it was fantastic!"

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu took notice of a young boy about his age run up from behind saying how fantastic the battle was. Even though it was a small comment, Ryu’s egotistical nature was starting to show. “Why thank you, I’m aware I’m a great trainer!” Ryu then proceeded to chuckle a little. “Anyways what happens to be your name?”

Croagunk had finally found the group as he then ran towards them and tried to gain their attention “Croa-Croa-Croagunk!”

In the bustling city of Jubilife, a certain teenage girl blew past people in the crowds, hastily apologizing to the people she bumped into.
"Excuse me - sorry - my bad - I apologize - Eve, where are you?!" she cried, looking for the small fox-like Pokemon.
Eve had been taken from her by a couple of strangely dressed thieves with strange symbols on their clothing. They'd found her in an alley and used a device to restrain her while they ran.

 

[JayBird Joe]

"Krokorok, return," Jim said. He watched the others go off, and decided to part his own ways. He then turned to Phoenix. "I'm going to train. See you around!"
Jim then started down the path, making separate ways of travel. He looked down at the Pokeball that contained Krokorock. "You wanna fight em' again doncha?"

 

[Trojinta]

"I wouldn't call the battle fantastic..." Adelynn mumbled, somewhat upset with how fast the battle ended. Nonetheless, it was to be expected with newly gained pokemon.

"I can try my hand at the gym...I think Ori is strong enough to win on his own. Even though won't listen, he packs a punch." She said, mostly ignoring the new arrival. She waved a single hand as she reached into her inner coat pocket to retrieve the star-marked luxury ball. "My name is Adelynn Yew! Just like my uncle, I will defeat every Gym Leader in Sinnoh, and aim for the top!" She exclaimed, holding the pokeball in the air. "HYAAAA!" She shouted, running head-on towards route 204, ignoring anyone in her way in a true act of headstrong ignorance.

Phoenix rolled his eyes as the others left him. Deciding that he would go to his apartment to get a few supplies for his journey, Phoenix walked past the three which he gave a wave to. "If you guys need me look Jubilife appartment complex and buzz appartment 305. I will let you guys in."

With that Phoenix walked off. He followed the path as he came in the bustling city, he passed the restaurants, and headed for the large townhomes that housed his appartment. Glad to have found the right place to set up a base of operations, Phoenix climbed the steps to the front door and imput the passcode that was given to him when he moved in. Once inside he made his way up to the elevator and rode up to the penthouse appartment.

It was a nice place to stay seeing as the whole city could be seen from the slanted glass windows that overlooked it. The place was well furnished in black with pops of bright color here and there. There was even a recording studio set up in one of the spare bedrooms. Being the owner of the whole building has it's perks, it ment that he could decorate how he wanted to, that included soundproofing the whole place.

Instruments and music was the focal point of the place. Band posters were framed and hung on the wall, as well as some of the contest awards that he had won on a shelf near the large entertainment system, which included a 63" tv that was housed in a large built in tv stand. Though most would find the large fireplace and grand piano to be the best part of the appartment.

With a flick of the wrist, Phoenix turned on a playlist that had some of his favorite songs in a loop. He loved the place that was the product of a few months work by some very talented builders. Letting his pokemon out of their pokeballs, Phoenix walked Turtwig around their new home. Though he did stop in the master bedroom to change pack some more clothes for his journey. Knowing that he had the money to buy anything he wanted, did not stop him from just sticking with his favorites, which mean more to him then the expensive clothes that he had gotten as a child.

 

[Jayblade]

Ryu noticed the Croagunk beside him, “Wait it’s you again, I’ll make sure to catch you this time!” Ryu then through a Poke ball at Croagunk. As soon as it was about to hit it, Croagunk smacked it away as Ryu stood there annoyed. Croagunk then started telling everyone to follow it. Ryu noticed this and turned to the others.

“Guys it wants us to follow it, I think we should, maybe it wants to show us something.” Ryu turned back to Croagunk and then started following it, “Come on you two. We’ll save introductions for later.”

 

[Loxe]

Lee had just came back from Unova so he had nowhere to stay. He realised his old friend Phoenix lived close to where he was. Lee set off to get to his apartment he had to do some remembering of the place and he remembed he would always say "Jubilife Apartment Number 305 Buzz there if you need me."
Lee then ran down the road to find the beutiful apartments. He then buzzed Number 305.

Hearing the buzzing that sounded throughout the appartment, Phoenix walked over to the front door, and looked at the screen that he installed to see who would be buzzing in. With a large smile on his face, Phoenix pressed the button to let Lee in.

He was gald to see Lee. Lee was one of the friends that he had made in his travels through the region. Walking over to the the couch, Phoenix sat his bag down, and started to get together some other things he would need, like an array of pokefood that he packed carefully in a seprate pack to keep water out.

 

[Loxe]

Lee opened the door and ran up the stairs excited to see Phoenix. He stood infront of door 304 and thought "So his apartment should be right next to here." . He walked to the side and there it was. Number 305. Lee knocked on the door and said "Its Lee!"
