Open The Support Group

Welcome, one and all, to Mallow Hill Mental Hospital. Here, we treat a variety of mental illnesses, with inpatient, outpatient, and day schemes, tailored to suit the needs of our patients. Most recently, though, we have started a support group, which meets twice weekly, for young people who have trouble socialising with others of their age, because of conditions like anxiety, depression, and even chronic physical illness. Here, they will receive their very first pokemon, and it is through battling, and learning to bond with their pokemon, that we hope to make a positive difference to the lives of these young people.

(Before you join, you MUST read the discussion page. I have banned the use of certain pokemon here. If you use these pokemon, you will not be allowed to join: https://pokecharms.com/threads/should-i-make-this.15703/ )

Doctor Edelstein got the door for Iris as she made her way inside. Here, she would receive her very first pokemon... But it was also here that she would be forced to interact with people, something that she could barely bring herself to do. Something as small as going out to buy milk for her mother terrified her, on her worst days. Going out on a journey had been absolutely unthinkable; she'd be forced to battle other trainers, or stand up on stage and dance in front of an audience, who would then judge her, based on what she did...

Her mother was at her wits' end. It seemed that nothing could be done to help Iris, until she heard about this support group. A chance for Iris to meet other people like her, and get her very first pokemon seemed like the very best thing for her daughter, and thus, she had signed her up immediately.

Doctor Edelstein, who was the doctor running the support group, cleared his throat as everyone stepped inside. "Now, before we all go around and introduce ourselves, it's time that we got you your very first pokemon! They're going to help you on your journey to recovery, so, without further ado, who wants to pick their pokemon first?"

He held out a tray, containing a variety of pokeballs. A quick ball, a timer ball, a luxury ball; in fact, there was one of every kind of pokeball on there.

Iris eyed the luxury ball... She really wanted to take that one, it looked pretty, and she assumed that the pokemon inside it was pretty, too, but she couldn't bring herself to make the first move.

She waited for the person next to her, to have their pick first. She really, really hoped that they didn't choose the luxury ball...

Felix was horrified the second his mother told her about the group, but no that he was here it was the most scary thing there ever was he looked at iris who seemed to be just as scaried he wanted the luxray but he knew so did the girl so he refrained and went to pick up a ball for a deerling he quickly stepped back so nobody could see him

Name:Carrie Williams

Age:16

Condition: Depression

When Carrie's stepfather told her she would have to join a support group for her depression, she was less than trilled. "Nothing like spending time with freaks like me." She sarcastically told her stepfather in response. She wasn't a huge fan of socializing and all she really wanted to do was sleep all day and watch dramas on T.V at night and occasionally eat. Carrie knew this support group was going to be like the last one, a waste of her time and it would just make her depression worse than it already was.

Carrie slowly trudged to her stepfathers minivan after she said goodbye to her 4 younger brothers. They were the only ones who could bring the smallest glimmer of hope and joy in her life. Well, that and T.V and books. "When are we going to get to this nuthouse?" Carrie asked her father, "Carrie, I don't appreciate your sarcasm and we will get there soon." Her father sounded like he was tired. "Can I at least know what it's about?" Carrie asked. The last support group she went to was about abuse and that did no good. "I think it has something to do with kids who are too ill to go on Pokemon journeys. You said one time you wanted to go on a journey so I though maybe you could try this." Carrie rolled her eyes and spoke softly "That was one time. When I was 7 and actually mentally not ill." Her dad looked like she was about to say something when they arrived at their location.

Carrie went inside the hospital to see a doctor with with a tray of Pokeballs. "This support group might not be that bad." Carrie though to herself. She hadn't been this excited since Pokemon's Next Top Model came out with it's 8th season. She looked at the Pokeballs and was amazed. There was all different kinds of them, some Carrie had never even seen. She noticed two other kids their and one of them had taken a Pokeball. "Hmm, Maybe I should choose this one. " It was a Premier Ball, one of Carrie's personal favorites. For some reason, it remind Carrie of her beautiful mother, a ex coordinator. Her smile turned quickly into a frown when she though of her mother. "Why did she have to be taken so soon." Carrie was about to cry when she stopped. "Oh no, I am not crying here." she thought bitterly to herself.
She then took the pokeball and went into the back corner and waited for someone else to choose one.

Felix saw Carrie walk to the corner looking extremely sad, he wanted to do something, but he couldn't seem to be able to he stood there looking at her becoming sad himself "I've got to do this" he said to himself as he got up and walked over to her. As he drew closer he waved shyly and managed to get out "h-h uh h-hi" making a fool of himself he instently regretted it

Name: Zach
Age: 12
Condition: social anxiety
Inpatient or Outpatient?: outpatient

When it discovered about the group Zach refused, but it parents made him go.He stayed behind all the group, and took a quick ball he thinked was interesting, them runned back to it place and started focusing at the ball for avoiding visual contact.

Carrie watched a guy walked over to her and appeared to try and speak to her. She could read his body language and could tell he was nervous. She recognized him as the person who choose the first pokeball. The person then waved to her and stuttered out a weak "Hi." Carrie chuckled a little bit and said quiet"Hey" back. She wasn't a shy person, she was just bad at socializing. Most people usually stayed away from her because her sarcasm could be hurtful at times. Carrie walked a bit towards him, not close but close enough she could whisper and he would still be able to hear her. "I'm Carrie. May I ask why your here and what's your name." She already sort of knew the answer to the first question but she just wanted to see if maybe it was something else as well.

Felix shyly smiled at Carrie and 'said' "I-I'm fe-Felix and I-i just wanted to se-see if yo-you where ok" he said quitely "so-sorry I'm ju-just-" he stopped not knowing how to finish the sentence well he did he just wasn't proud of it

Iris was relieved when nobody seemed to have taken interest in the luxury ball, and, with the most excitement that she had felt in ages, she reached forward and grabbed it. The ball was surprisingly cool and smooth in her hands, and she loved the feel of its gold catch.

She truly had no idea what could possibly be inside, but she hoped that whatever it was, it was... Friendly, at least. It could have been a delcatty in that pokeball, or it could have been a steelix, and she wouldn't care as long as it wouldn't try to kill her the second that she opened the ball. Either way, she was eager to find out.

In a rare moment of bravery, she stuck her hand up, and quietly asked, "U-um... Is it ok, if we... Open the pokeballs? Y'know, to see what's inside..."

Doctor Edelstein faced Iris with a gentle smile. "Yes, of course," he answered, before turning to address the rest of the group, "Everyone, once you have your pokeballs, please release your pokemon!"

Iris nodded, tentatively throwing the ball she had been given. Red light soon formed into the shape of something small and fluffy, with one long ear, and one smaller, fluffier one...

"Bun... Buneary?"

Iris examined her new partner carefully. She was cute, and she'd never seen a buneary with bright pink fur, instead of yellow fur before...

Felix smiled and opened his pokeball and deerling appeared in front of him he smiled at it and picked it up "hi I'm felix" he whispered to it he hugged it out of pure joy he looked at Carrie and smiled "ar-are you gonna open yo-yours" he asked

As Carrie continued to listen to to Felix he stopped his sentence. She knew right away what he had as soon as he said that. It seemed the poor guy had social anxiety. That explained the stuttering and the shaking and other things "Hey, it okay. you know I'm Carrie. But you don't know what I'm here for. I'm here for depression. Just as she was about to add something more she heard the doctor say to release the pokemon. Carrie stared contently at the Premier wondering what it was going to be.

Carrie looked around before releasing her's and noticed a Shiny Buneary. Carrie has only seen a few Bunearys and they weren't normally pink. They were generally brown and yellow, not pink and brown. Her thoughts were interrupted when Felix asked her if she was going to open her Pokeball. She was going to wait till everyone had released their's but why not now. "Go Pokeball!" She released and out came a small Lion Pokemon. If she remembered correctly, the Pokemon was called Shinx. "It's kinda cute, I have to admit. And I don't really like cats that much." The Shinx stared at her for a little bit then went up and tackled her, sending the girl to the floor. The Shinx kept licking her like some kind of puppy. "Love you too buddy." Carrie spoke while laughing. She picked up the the little Shinx and showed it to Felix. "Guess this is my partner, Shinx.:

His name is Zephyr.

Age: He is 11 Years old.

Condition: Major Depression

Zephyr had gotten to the hospital later after he argued with his mother about the social group, as he hesitantly got inside. His face looked rather pale; his eyes shined despair from a loss of hope. He looked around towards the others that were nearby, as he looked towards the tray of Poké Balls that some of the others had taken from earlier.

He hesitantly took a ball that had a bright, yellowish hue on the top half, as the yellow button on the center gave off a slight blink. The bottom half of the ball was white, as he looked towards the others that had already opened their Poké Balls.

He felt the strange Poké Ball giving off a slight wiggle, as his anxiety rose. He attempted to mask his nervousness that his eyes shined towards the others, as he kept the ball held in his right hand. He looked towards the Doctor that told everyone to open their Poké Balls earlier, as he quietly said in a faint tone, "S- Sh- should I- I- o- op- open... t- th- this... b- bal- bally t- thingy?"

Felix smiled at the shinx "I-i have a deerling" he said quietly he smiled "he-hey th-this prob-problably a bad id-idea but cou-could we be fri-friends" he said shyly he picked up his deerling

Carrie smiled as Felix asked her if they could be friends. She had never truly had a friend. "Sure Felix, I'll be your friend." She was going to say something else when the Shinx started to chew on her hair. "I though only dogs did this, not cats." She rolled her eyes and chuckled. She held the pokemon in front of her and started at it. "Your a little troublemaker aren't you?" The Shinx just wagged its tail and made it's cry.

The doctor's attention was suddenly turned to the newcomer, who appeared to have selected the park ball from the tray. He anticipated that most of his patients would be late, on account of refusal to come, though this was common, when it came to first-time support group goers. It was scary, being here, and the crudely-drawn and painted pictures of pokemon, done by some of the younger patients around the room did little to help ease the nerves of the outpatients.

"Yes, of course you can open your pokeball," he said warmly, "The pokemon inside is going to be your partner, and help you on your road to recovery!"

Iris, meanwhile, tentatively stuck her hand out, to her new partner. The buneary approached her with some hesitation, but then jumped up and butted her head.

"Hi there," she said quietly, "I... I hope we can be friends...."

"Buneary!" the creature cried in reply.

The buneary squeaked at Iris, bouncing forward. Iris drew back, afraid that her new partner might try to bite her... Or tackle her, or dizzy-punch her until she was a mushy, red mass of skin and bone on the ground... Or something even worse than that.

But instead, the tiny rabbit pokemon bounced right up, demanding to be caught as her fluffy body hit Iris's jumper.

Instinctively, Iris caught her pokemon, giggling as it snuggled into her chest.

"You're so cute!" she squealed, "And you're all mine... Maybe this place isn't so bad..."

Zephyr nodded at the Doctor after he heard his friendly voice, as he said to himself, "Okay... fingers crossed... let's just hope that the thing in here isn't too mean in this ball." He hesitantly pressed on the yellowish button on the center of the ball, as the ball opened itself; letting out a reddish energy that soon revealed itself to be the Pokémon inside it. He looked over at the Pokémon that was standing several feet from his legs, as he closely analyzed him with a silent look.

The Pokémon stood on all fours while looking up at Zephyr, as he had a small, dinosaur-like body. The lower half of his body was black, while the upper half was in a shade of lighter gray. His beak-like snout faced towards Zephyr's legs, as his big, red eyes closely observed Zephyr's appearance. The large, heart-shaped yellow scale on the front of his head glimmered about in the fluorescent lighting. The half ring of teardrop-shaped, loose-hanging grayish and partially yellowish scales around his shoulders quietly jiggled about with his curiosity towards Zephyr. His tail shook along with the modest air around him, as the small, yellowish scale on the tip faintly shined along with the warm environment. He quietly lifted his right foot, as his yellow claws gave off a vague shine towards Zephyr. He slowly tapped the right side of his scales in a gentle manner in an attempt to convey a friendly message towards Zephyr. He hesitantly said to Zephyr while slowly walking towards him, "J- Jang... Jang?"

Zephyr kneeled down at slightly above the Pokémon's short height, as he nervously stuttered out in his reply, "U- um- umm... uhh... s- so... umm... I suppose... t- th- that... umm... I ho- hope... w- we... c- can... g- ge- get... a- al- along..."

The Pokémon noticed Zephyr's anxiety, as he went towards his leg and gently nudged it in a leisurely motion. He saw Zephyr standing back up, as he slowly took one step back from noticing the huge height difference between himself and Zephyr. He saw Zephyr slowly reaching his right hand out towards his right paw, as he heard him saying towards him, "Uhh... let's t- try... t- to... b- be... f- fri... friends... o- ok- okay?" The Pokémon nodded in agreement, as he shook his paw with Zephyr's hand and gave off a soft murmur at him.

Lara wheeled herself into building, she saw a tray sitting on a table with a bunch of pokeballs on it. Her eyes teared up and started to tremble. She picked up a cherish ball. She dropped it on her lap and out came a Mincinno. The baby Mincinno yawned and fell asleep on Lara's lap, Lara was shivering, she was scared. She slowly stroked Mincinno. Her quivering mouth broke into a smile, maybe this wouldn't be as bad as she thought it would, maybe the support group would help her after all.

(You don't know what those terms mean?)

Doctor Edelstein cleared his throat. "Wonderful, you've chosen your partners!" he praised, "Now, let's all introduce ourselves! My name is Doctor Edelstein, you can call me Roderich, if you would prefer, and I'm going to be watching you for all of our sessions. I'll be here to support you all, every step of the way to recovery!"

He gestured to Iris, who, coincidentally, happened to be on his left, with her new buneary. "Perhaps, you'd like to go first, young lady?"

Iris buried her face in her buneary's fur and sank into a nearby chair. "Iris," she mumbled, "T-that's my name..."

Doctor Edelstein gave her a pat on the shoulder, eager to praise her. "Well, welcome to the group, Iris! We're very pleased to have you!"

The doctor immediately turned his attention to the next patient. "Alright, who would like to introduce themselves next?"

Lara sat on her wheelchair, praying that the doctor wouldn't choose her. She didn't want to talk to people, she still wasn't even very comfortable around Mincinno. At that moment, Mincinno had woken up. Mincinno looked around eager to meet new people and Pokemon.

Zephyr glanced over at the Doctor, while the Pokémon that he held in his arms emitted an anxious whimper off at the Doctor. He squirmed in his arms, as Zephyr held onto him in a slightly tighter grip. He whispered to him in concern, "Ahh, take it easy here! W- wh... what se- seems... t- to... be the p- problem?"

The Pokémon nervously turned his head towards the Doctor, as he uttered out in his reply, "J- J- Jang... Jang..."

Zephyr worriedly looked over at him, as he noticed his teary eyes and his unease starting to get the better of him. He attempted to calm him by holding him closely towards his chest. He quietly said to him while gently patting his head, "Shh... just... t- try to c- calm d- do- down..."

The Pokémon emitted a timid cry towards the Doctor, as he felt a pulsating beat that went on in his body. He felt a sudden, sharp pain in his left arm, as he attempted to mask his obvious trepidation that his watery eyes gave off. He rubbed on his left arm in an attempt to ease the pain, as he gasped when he saw the recollection flashing before his eyes.

He saw himself hours earlier with a Nurse in a white gown and having pinkish hair. He was behing held with a gentle grip by another much bigger Pokémon that looked rather pinkish and white in his vague vision. There was a small, pink pouch on her belly that housed an egg, as he noticed the Pokémon attempting to calm him with her soothing tones. He saw the Nurse taking out a cylindrical-like tool that consisted of a whitish liquid that rested in the glassy surface that felt glossy to the touch. There was a thin, metallic tip at the end that shined fear towards him, as he squirmed about in the Pokémon's arms.

After some brief minutes, his vision returned back to reality, as he continued to wriggle in Zephyr's arms with anxiety. He emitted a quiet sob at Zephyr, as he placed his right arm on his left; attempting to soothe the stinging pain that still lingered on.

Lara's heartbeat was fast, she was sweating and her teeth were chattering, she was afraid of everyone. Mincinno timidly climbed up onto her shoulder, she had been excited at first, but now she was afraid. There were scary Pokemon and scary people, they were all so much bigger than her. Mincinno climbed down Lara's shoulder and went under her sweater. Lara at first tensed, but then started to relax. "I think I'll name you... Prism" Lara whispered. Prism looked up at her and smiled, she liked her new trainer.

Lara looked around at the other trainers, she seemed to be the only one in a wheelchair. She glanced down at her legs and tried to lift themselves, but she just couldn't. She sighed, maybe one day.

Name: Rukan

Age: 15

Condition: PTSD, Recovering from Depression

Inpatient or Outpatient?: Outpatient

___________________________________________________________

When seeing her, no one would think of any mental illness to describe her. She had deep, slightly-curly, blonde hair like a Stoutland, honest hazel eyes and a face that could lighten up anyone's day. She was always the "cheerful" and "modest," young girl with a somewhat bright Pokémon journey ahead of her.

No one knew the truth like she did.

"Honestly, why am I here?", Rukan thought as she entered the Mallow Mill Mental Hospital.

She silently scoffed at her own rhetorical question, knowing the answer. Her mom thought she was subconsciously frightened of the adventure, thus sending her to this amazing place. "Come on, buttercup, you'll love this place! I looked it up and the Yelp reviews are stunning!", Rukan's mom enthusiastically blurted in the car on the way there. "Mother, I don't need this, you have to believe me! I really am fine.", Rukan desperately responded while slowly, but loud enough for her mom to hear, sighing to show her enthusiasm.

The scent of the clinic caught Rukan off-guard, she sniffed the air of the luminescent hospital, feeling strangely alleviated of her moodiness as well as her mother. The first thing she saw when she came in was the open and free space of the hospital, making it feel more comfortable and less mental hospital-looking. Walking up to the front desk, she noticed the tray full of Pokéballs with an arrow that exclaimed, "Take One!" She looked around and found no one near, "Okay guys, I'll just take one for the team," she openly yelled to no one in particular. Upon closely examining the pokéballs, she spotted an aquamarine, oceanic-looking pokeball and gracefully picked it out of the pile.

Rukan gently rubbed the smooth ball with her thumb and steadily walked over to one of the lobby's many chairs, calmly awaiting for someone to sign her in.

Lara bent down and pulled out a blanket from a bag in her wheelchair. She pulled it over her head and stretched out her sweater. "Come out Prism" She whispered, "Nobody's going to hurt you"

Prism slowly crawled up on to Lara's shoulder, Lara carefully picked her up off of her shoulder and held Prism in front of her face. Prism was tiny, like a little grey mouse. Lara slowly pulled down the blanket so that Prism could see everyone, but Prosm jumped down back into her Sweater.

Lara looked around and saw a girl rubbing a pokeball, she didn't look like she had any sort of disability. Maybe she was a nurse or a helper. Lara didn't know and didn't care, she didn't like interacting with people.

Iris kept her head down, hoping not to arouse any more interest. Her buneary did too, knowing that on account of her colouring, she was likely to attract attention from other patients...

Doctor Edelstein, meanwhile, turned his attention to the newcomer, who appeared to have chosen her ball before he'd even given the order to. Truth be told, he'd forgotten what it was that was even inside that one. Still, he'd been under strict orders only to get small, cute pokemon for the support group's attendees.

"Perhaps you'd like to go next?" Doctor Edelstein offered to the newcomer, "I'm Doctor Edelstein, you can call me Roderich, if you would prefer, however. Over there, we have Iris, and Buneary!" and he gestured to a girl with a shiny buneary.

"Candy," Iris piped up, "That's... My buneary's name is Candy..."

The Pokémon's attention was intensely focused on the Doctor after he heard him, as he emitted a nervous whimper at the Doctor. He thought that the Doctor was one of the Nurses that he saw earlier after he heard him mentioning the fact that he was a doctor after all. He continued to squirm in Zephyr's arms, as he babbled out to Zephyr in a hasty attempt, "J- J- Ja- Jang..."

Zephyr gently stroked his smooth head, as he quietly replied to him in an attempt to ease his discountenanced mood, "Shh... just t- try... t- to... c- calm... down..." The Pokémon gave off a slightly louder cry at the Doctor, as Zephyr said to the Doctor while holding his Pokémon still, "U- umm... pl- please d- don't m- mind... the l- little g-guy here... he's just a b- bit n- nervous... I- I'm Z- Zep- Zephyr by the way..."

The Pokémon continued to sob in Zephyr's arms, as his scales timidly shook along with his unease. His watery eyes rained down tears like waterfalls, as he attempted to gather in as much energy as he could to execute his next move that would be rather risky.

The doctor shook his head at the display. He'd been told that the pokemon that had been caught for the new patients were sociable, and friendly, and would help them with their conditions... That jangmo-o, however, seemed to be just as anxious as some of the patients here.

He glanced around the room. Iris and her buneary, whom she'd called Candy, seemed to be getting along great, as did the boy with the deerling, and the girl with the shinx, and the girl with the minccino... All of the pokemon were relatively sociable, and brought smiles to their trainer's faces, just as he had wanted them to. That jangmo-o, however, seemed to be doing the opposite.

He glanced over at Iris, who was already burying her head in her buneary's fur again. She seemed frightened by the display, and thus, he had to calm the situation down quickly...

"Oh my, it seems that that jangmo-o may not be fit for purpose," he remarked, "Perhaps, you'd like to choose one of the other pokemon, that have yet to be taken? Or, perhaps, would you like me to send it in for further conditioning, while everyone introduces themselves?"

Felix smiled at the shinx and then at Carrie "co-cool t-to be comp-complety honest I-I've never had a fri-friend before" he said quitely as he stroked his deerling s head

Zephyr looked over at the Jangmo-o that he held in his arms after he heard what the Doctor said. He felt a bond for the first time in his life with another being; he knew that he could not just give up the Jangmo-o to someone else. He also knew from his moral code that it would be wrong to ditch a Pokémon just because of their traits not being able to fit into one, single purpose. He could not make the same mistake that his father made numerously made as a child. He felt the Jangmo-o's nudges towards his chest, as he began to understand the message the Jangmo-o was conveying towards him. He patted the Jangmo-o's back in a gentle motion, as the Jangmo-o nodded and said after noticing his compassionate eyes, "Ja- Jang, Jang."

He was beginning to put two and two together on the Jangmo-o's situation, as he thought to himself, "I can't have him take him away from me like that! I just c- can't! He's like my friend... no wait, he's like my brother here! I've been already sad and crying to others since they were often abusing these poor little guys, and they just ditch them when they can't even fit in... I have to find some way to save my Jangmo-o, even if it means having to fight or even flight!"

He took in a deep breath, as he knew that he had to stand his ground against the Doctor and speak up for the Jangmo-o. There was no more time for him to think now, it was now or never. He said in an assertive tone towards the Doctor, "L- Look... even t- though... the Jangmo-o, the very Pokémon that is in my arms here... just because he might not seem fit for the p- purpose... that does not mean that I can just leave him just because of his anxiety that he has like I did. I would rather have the Jangmo-o in my arms; patting its scales happily, rather than having him d- d- ditched away like that!"

Upon glancing up, Rukan saw a figure that seemed to be a doctor gesture for her to come join the small circle of patients. She silently walked towards him, ignoring the other riffraff and tension in the room, and calmly spoke, "Excuse me, are you Doctor Edelstein? If you are, I am really sorry for coming in late."

Lara happily nuzzled Prism. She was the cutest thing in the world. Prism was giving her a lot of confidence already. "I'm Lara and this is my Mincinno, Prism" She said loudly to the group. Lara then slapped her hand over her mouth, had she really just done that?! Prism climbed onto her shoulder and nuzzled her, Lara immediately relaxed.

Felix turned to Lara amazed, impressed even. He looked at Carrie "he-hey I'm go-gonna ta-talk to th-that girl" he stammered. Felix walked to Lara "he-hey th-there" he said introductory "I'm I'm fe-" he couldn't finish his sentence he didn't know what to do he holed at his deer king of whom smiled at him he froze up in front of her "no not now not now" he thought

"Fe?" Lara asked, the boy had seemed to stop mid sentence. Lara wheeled herself closer to the boy. Prism hid under the collar of her shirt.

Felix stood there rebuilding his confidence "I can do this" he said to himself he noticed the girl wheeling over "Felix m-my na-names fe-Felix" he finally go out he picked up deerling and stroked it "I'm I'm Felix"

"Oh, I see" Lara said, she looked at the Deerling, it was adorable. "Why are you here?" She asked Felix, Lara glanced down at her legs, "You can probably see why I'm here" She said, sighing. She hadn't walked for almost 4 years now. It was a horrible car accident that killed her older brother. That's how she became afraid of people. But now with Prism, she felt fine.

Felix looked at Lara and sighed he sat down next to her "I-I ha-have soc-" he stopped still ashamed of the fact he had social anxiety he looked at the floor "so-sorry"

"Social Anxiety?" Lara asked. She looked down at herself. "Well I-" She choked on her words, her eyes welled up. "I'm paralysed from the waist down..." She said sadly. "I had a bit of Social Anxiey... But never too bad."

Prism crawled out of her hiding space and carefully approached the Deerling. Any sudden movement would send Prism scampering back to Lara.

Felix looked at Lara feeling horrible he opened his arms as if to offer a hug "what are you doing" he shouted at himself

Deerling look at the small minico and smile "de de deer" she then stood up and stumbled over to the small ball of fur

Lara hugged him back, it was awkward but at the same time quite nice.

Prism jumped onto deerlings head and nuzzled it, they were becoming pretty good friends.

Felix let go of her "so-sorry if th-that wa-was wr-wrong" he mumbled. He looked at the ground and sat down

Deerling smiled as she playfully shook her head around
