So, a couple months ago I came across a thread called "The Beginning". The idea of the RP was that a group of trainers were lucky enough to find Pokemon eggs, and proceed to hatch them. As there is no professor in town, the trainers take their newly hatched partners and set off on what I assume was to be a grand adventure. I was intrigued, so I posted a bio and waited.
And waited.
And waited some more.
Unfortunately, like so many RP's, "The Beginning" died before it had even begun. The author disappeared, leaving myself and several others interested in the RP high and dry. I was greatly disappointed, as I had been looking forward to the rather unique idea. So, after much deliberation, and a long wait in case the author returned, I have decided to reboot the idea with my own unique spin.
The premise is relatively simple. The RP will take place in a small, unnamed town in Johto, not found on any maps. A small division of Team Rocket stumbled across the town on accident following the events of the Gold and Silver games. They decide to make the town and its surrounding area their new base of operations. They quickly seize control of the town, and begin enforcing a wide variety of rules, the most important being the ban on Pokemon training outside of Team Rocket.
Several years pass, and a group of young trainers grow desperate to obtain Pokemon of their own. With their small-time local professor arrested by Team Rocket, the trainers must look to the lively forest to supply them. They all sneak out into the forest, each of them lucky enough to come across a Pokemon egg of their own. Soon enough, Team Rocket discovers the young trainers, and they must avoid capture or losing their Pokemon, inadvertently starting and leading a revolution.
As the group consists of new trainers, your characters must be relatively young, anywhere from 11 to 19. The town is fairly small, so it is safe to assume that our characters knew of each other. This can range from mere acquaintances to friends, family, or even lovers. Any and all relations between characters can be discussed here.
Seeing as the Pokemon are found in the forest, your character may find one of the following:
~ Caterpie
~ Weedle
~ Pikachu
~ Pidgey
~ Hoothoot
~ Seedot
~ Spinarak
~ Ledyba
~ Shroomish
~ Kricketot
~ Zubat

You may select any of these Pokemon. If you feel I missed a Pokemon, or have a Pokemon you would like to request, please message me and we can discuss it. I will likely select three or four of you, but I'm not positive at this moment. If you're interested, please post a bio!

Name: Zeypher Kurst
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 160 pounds
Hair: Dark brown, always mussed up and shaggy
Eyes: Brown
Clothing: Often seen wearing a worn-out green tee-shirt, with old, tattered jeans. He has no shoes, preferring to go bare foot.
Identifying Marks: None
Musculature: Thin, lean muscle, more on his legs than his arms
Personality: Zeypher is a relatively happy-go-lucky guy, preferring to always have a positive outlook on life. He's quick to make friends, and is extremely loyal. He can be overly loyal, almost to a fault, as he will do anything to help a friend. As a result of growing up in a broken home, Zeypher despises authority. He hates being told what to do, especially by adults. He is willing to take suggestions from those he considers to be his friends, but will become grumpy and irritable if directly commanded to do something.
Skills: Zeypher has a fairly extensive, if basic, base of knowledge about Pokemon
Past: Zeypher's parents never got along, even before the Rockets came to town. His father was an artist, and his mother simply stayed at home, so Zeypher's family never had a lot of money. His parents fought almost constantly, leading Zeypher to spend most of his time in the woods. He learned about the local Pokemon by watching them, and forged a sort of trust between him and the forest Pokemon. In fact, it was Zeypher who suggested searching for Pokemon eggs in the forest.
Family: Todd Kurst (Father); Aya Kurst (Mother)
Love Relationship: ???
Pokemon:
Name: Sigil (Often called Sigs for short)
Species: Poliwag
Gender: Male
Ability: Water Absorb
Personality: Sigil matches Zeypher's happy-go-lucky attitude with a carefree attitude of his own. It isn't often that Sigil is unhappy, though he tends to be shy around new, unfamiliar people. He trusts Zeypher completely at all times, both in and out of battle.
